I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. The staff very friendly, I was greeted with such warmth and kindness. The front desk lady was very professional and ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Excellent staff
Great option for Austin
The stay was better than expected. Nothing over the top but perfect. The property appeared t be a little older but not outdated. It was actually better kept than some newer properties I've stayed at. I did have one issue with the tub having a constant flow of water due to a gasket being worn. It wasn't a big deal but I let the front desk know so they'd be aware. Someone was there maybe 5 minutes later. Had it replaced & fixed in less than 30 minutes which is great considering it was the weekend. The bar was good to go. Great food. This place is easily on my short list of go to hotels in Austin, going forward. Having a bar/restaurant on property is a huge bonus.
Location was excellent, very close to St. Edwards University. Double room was very spacious as well as the bathroom.
Convenient & price
Bed was not comfortable at all, also made a squeaky noise for any movement due to the tossing and turning for bad bed. Don’t think I will stay at this hotel again even if it’s convenient
SXSW FILM FESTIVAL BUSINESS TRIP
Great restaurant at awesome prices!
Not any coffee or towels when checking in. However, the staff was very responsive and quickly delivered everything requested.
Enjoyed convenient stay
Everything was average at best. Nothing was special or exceptional. The walls are super thin, so you can hear everything outside your room. If you're just looking for a place to sleep near the downtown area, then it's alright. It's definitely no Hilton or Marriot. Also doesn't include breakfast, but I am sure they have options to purchase.
Don't expect it. Just nice.
One night only so minimal impressions
Awesome stay
Old and outdated. No vending and a broken hot tub.
It has good location, what didn’t like, the roaches
Great water pressure in the shower! Cleaned the room every day except Christmas, which was understandable. Staff was very kind and helpful.
The property was super close to our event. The staff was VERY nice. Could use a little up keep. It's obvious that it has been a while since its been spruced up. I would stay here again.
Would have liked to have had free breakfast for a 3 star hotel, only because if im going to pay for breakfast and im from out of town i might as well go out and see whats to eat. Why stay and pay at the hotel? So we went into downtown
The staff were very nice and helpful. The room didn’t have Wifi, TV did not work, no fridge, and the bed sheets and pillow cases had stains. There is mold in the ceiling above the shower. You could also hear the conversations going on in other rooms and they weren’t being loud.
The restaurant was not very good. The power went out. The bedroom was either too hot or too cold.
Amazing Hotel Staff
All of the hotel staff were awesome and accommodating to my dog and myself. If you have a dog definitely a top choice hotel to choose for visit in Austin, Texas
Really nice rooms, clean property, and the staff was very helpful and nice when asking any questions! Would stay here again
My room had a dirt on the floor, the hotel was outdated and the toilet was awkwardly placed in the bathroom at a 45 degree angle.
Really nice and clean hotel staff was very friendly and helpful
Ice machine out of order no vending machines
The staff was excellent. The property is very nice for the price. The manager had someone come in behind me that seemed suspicious. She and the staff went out of their way to rectify and remove the person. Will stay again.
Boiler went down. No hot water. TV was broken. Phone was broken.
The hotel is convenient to entertainment and dining choices in South Austin.
Good
so
The property was great and everyway, my wife and I is looking forward in coming back.
N/A
Room was clean, staff was friendly, we’ve stayed here several times, always great!
The fan in the bathroom didn't work, so there's badly condensation, very wet after a shower in the bathroom and into the whole room. The wifi was weak. No microwave in the room and no food at the hotel. The room was very clean and we loved the long tabletop. Overall it was good.
Rude
At check-in they were very rude to us and throughout our whole state the staff was rude
Good for price average hotel nothing special
Never will stay at that property again
This hotel didn’t have a microwave in the room as stated and the halls were dirty. The toilet would not flush and ran constantly. Not par for a Wyndham hotel very disappointed.
When we checked out, there was no one in the reception to return the card. My uber had to wait almost 20 minutes.
Very friendly and responsive staff. A good value. Pay for order only breaks.
Convenient, professional customer service, and great accommodations.
The hotel was fine it was part of a longer trip we were just staying there for the evening the only problem I did have was I thought it said free breakfast but as it turned out we had to pay for breakfast which was pretty good
had to move because of cockroaches in my tub
Disappointing Experience Compared to Last Year We booked our stay at this hotel a year ago for the Ubbi Dubbi rave, and unfortunately, the visit was not the same this year. Last year, we stayed in a queen-size bedroom, and this time we opted for a king-size room, thinking it would offer more luxury. However, the experience didn’t meet our expectations. The biggest disappointment was that the hotel no longer provides breakfast, which was one of the main reasons we chose this place last year. We really appreciated the convenience of breakfast being included, and its absence this time made the stay feel less special. While the location and room were decent, we were hoping for a more luxurious experience, especially with the upgraded room type. The lack of breakfast definitely took away from the overall experience, and we will likely reconsider our options for next year’s visit.
The employees are very nice . Only thing wish they go back to free breakfast
We had no hot water and no compensation could be made. Manager not there and paid through a third party site, Expedia.
Everything was great, room was clean and well made I arrived. Check in and out and was simple and easy. Would stay again. Great second experience.
This place was very nice.
It was ok for what we needed
My room was clean, and cool. Those are the 2 things I care most about. Also, the water pressure is to die for. I took a shower and came out feeling sterilized. It was one of the best showers I’ve taken in a long time. The water gets really hot just the way I like it. Awesome stay.
Ok
Hotel review
The hotel wasn’t bad at all, the only issue I had was no microwave in the room so if you wanted to heat up food you will have to go to the lobby and they only had one microwave for the whole hotel to use. So if you trying to save money on not eating out this hotel not for you. Also the people across from me had a little dog that was barking for hours and they kept coming and going and leaving the dog. I had to complain to front desk because that was not respectful of other people staying in the hotel. But other than that the hotel not bad and the front desk is nice, they check out is 12 instead of 11 so that is a plus. But I would only stay if it was less than two days cause I need a microwave in my room.
nice bar and waiting area.
Smelled clean it was clean and friendly staff
Cockroach on the floor, old French fries on the floor, dirty bathtub.
Front desk woman was fabulous.
Water was rising in the shower so we couldn’t shower when we needed to. When I booked it said breakfast included when we got there we had to pay. The hot tub was broken so we couldn’t even use the amenities. It smelled like a nursing home
Cockroaches are in some units
Sucio
Sucio Abajo de la cama Un fierro oxidado que salía por debajo del Colchón Sucio bajo la cama Y había chimenea en el baño
I travel to Austin for work 3 days a week. This hotel is by far the cleanest most comfortable place to stay out of all the ones I’ve tried over my time here in Austin. Service is great and the staff is friendly.
Friendly staff, good location good price
Great place for the value.
Perfect stay
Amazing staff and great price
Nice place
Never again
Everything was great, except for the beds.
The hotel manager excellent service.
Did not like that there was no free breakfast available for guests. The staff was very friendly. Thank you.
Older property but well worth the stay.
Great stay - staff was nice. Charging for my rental EV was easy to use.
Great and affordable location but I the pool and hot tub weren't working.
Good location, clean and quiet. All good.
The front desk staff was exceptional each night and day we were there also the maintenance worler who helped us find our way thank you to the entire staff as of 9pm 11/1/24 until 8pm 11/4/24!
Very nice location. Not far from downtown Austin. Very friendly staff!
We gave up our other hotel reservation to stay here because of the restaurant on site and the hot tub. The restaurant was hardly ever open and the hot tub was broken down during our 1 week stay.
NEVER again! I trusted the Wyndham name.
Walking into the initial room assigned, I could hear a very loud noise from the AC wall unit. The room was bare, not even a phone much less a mini fridge. We were moved to another room. The tub faucet was broken. It would just swing back out of place. I felt its scalding water wrath. There was mold throughout the bathroom. The carpet in the corridors/hallways was very stained. There were no vending machines and the ice maker on 2nd floor was inoperable.
Dirty and uncomfortable
We’ve stayed at other Wyndham properties and didn’t expect to walk into a very dirty hotel. The hallways had badly stained carpet and not so clean smells. The room wasn’t any better, the bathroom reeked of urine, the toilet had a leak that went off every 15-20 minutes. The pillows were hard and the sheets were itchy. We could not leave fast enough in the morning. How this place had 8.2 out of 10 rating on the site is beyond me.
Like the lower cost of room. Property was out dated, order out food, air conditioner loud, shower water screaming hot, location away from the main events.
I liked that it was away from the rowdiness even with it being ACL weekend! I was there for the festival but wanted a calm and quiet place to come back to at the end of the night. I didn’t get a chance to check out their hot tub but even with long legs I could fit in the room’s bathtub! The bed was very comfortable and I had so many pillows it was overwhelming! The only downsides were not having a fridge and microwave in the room so I had nowhere to put leftover food. Using a community microwave was fine but throwing away my leftover food felt extremely wasteful.
I found a big cockroach in my room.
There want any hot water on my room.
Old, smelly, uncomfortable
The second I stepped in to my hotel room I wanted to leave. The musty/mildewy smell was so strong & intolerable & not good for someone with asthma. I went to put a water in the refrigerator, which was not working. I called the front desk from the room phone, the phone didn't work, so I had to go down to the front desk to let them know. I told them the room smelled terrible & shockingly I was told the hotel was booked. They said they would send up a new refrigerator. They did so but it turns out the outlet was broken. I started to unpack my back & noticed the bottom drawer did not close all the way, nor did it open. The top drawer smelled just like the room, I was not about to smell like mildew at work so I left my clothes in my bag. Further inspection revealed chipped or missing pieces on the room furniture. The baseboards were poorly maintained & spattered with paint. The bathroom smelled & had mildew or rust stains on the ceiling. If you have a dairy allergy/are vegan beware, they only offer bathroom supplies with goats milk. I turned the TV on & heard a loud buzzing that could be heard over the program I was watching. The windows are thin & I had sensory overload from all the street & highway traffic. The AC worked but made the room feel stuffy. I stayed one night, checked out early & booked a different hotel for the rest of my stay. The 2 good things was that the bed was comfortable & the bedding smelled fresh, & front desk was understanding.
Fast service. Thanks.
The hotel is a bit rundown. Chipped/peeling furniture in the room. The room floor didn’t seem properly cleaned upon arrival. The common areas were in better shape (lobby, restaurant, bar). The staff at the restaurant and the cleaning staff were very friendly.
Nothing additional
Needs updating
There were cockroaches in my room coming from the bathroom drain , stayed 3 nights they only cleaned once and came in when I had the do not enter sign on when I was changing in the room.
Staff was super friendly and the GM provided exceptional service. Thanks for taking care of me.
Nice Place!
It was great! There wasn’t any shampoo or blow dryer, but otherwise it was perfect.
The staff was very friendly and my room was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Good hotel that is fairly central and easy to get downtown from. A bit away from all the hustle and bustle. Downside is next to highway so is a bit loud and nothing within walking distance. Pool is very nice to have!
Did not have water for the coffee. Most hotels have bottle water. No stir sticks for coffee in the package. Elevator was hot bathroom was designed weird. Toilet was a last minute thought as it was sideways in the room. Very inconvenient
First time review and last time staying at this hotel. Was dirty, bugs in room, no hot water for 3 days, and while the staff was pleasant, they are not part of a team who can make improvements. Was visiting Austin for 5 days on business, 10 of us staying in same hotel and I really wanted to warn people checking in. Really disappointed.
It’s okay
The property was good for the price. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
It nice to stay in
I have stayed here many times over the years. Like the design of the property. The truth is, its was dirty and my room had no hot water. Do better Wyndham, I expect better from your brand.
Clean and well maintained with a very attentive staff.
One of our rooms had no refrigerator, black mold and cockroaches!
Complementary breakfast $12.99
Overall the hotel was a 2 star rating at best and the fact that the breakfast was NOT complementary was upsetting. The eggs were dry and brown and the French toast tasted like a soggy paper towel. And the coffee looked like black tar hero**. Please stay at this hotel only if the Motel 6 down the street is completely booked and even then just sleep in your car.
