Very clean safe and great food. Would be back
Our stay here was excellent. Family friendly, and staff was great. Erik and Carlos the bell hops were very attentive. Food was good.
I would recommend beverages to start when the hotel guest wants. Also, lunch starting at 1 pm is way too late.
I like the friendly emplyees everywhere around the hotel, very hard working people, they keep the hotel clean and very good food!! In the buffet area, everyone was soooo nice!! They go the extra mile to make people feel special!!!
Rooms are not ocean
The property was beautiful and the food very good. They should include the gelato at the coffee place in the cost. Having to pay additional was silly.
We had mold in our bathroom, and very musty smell.
The staff was great, friendly and the food in the buffet was delicious. We would definitely go back.
Buffet are fair
The staff were helpful. The resort had many things to do and there was always a pool pr beach chair to be found. It was a good atmosphere for families.
Rooms need some work, property is great but as they mentioned on Expedia that all the restaurants are open 7 days was not true. Limited vegetarian options.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the 3 large pools, two were heated. The beach was amazing. It's only a half hour walk to the shopping centre. The menus for the specialty restaurants was quite good. The buffet was excellent with different themes each day and a nice variety of dishes. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were kind and personable. We would definitely visit again!
The staff was fantastic. I definitely recommend PH or presidential suites and get the black wrist band. Cabanas every day. Only tip.if you want. Samara was VIP concierge and AMAZING! Mu husband got the flu- she sent food, towels, soup, cough meds- and called to check in! Sweet as pie! Made all our reservations. Didn't like the restaurants, so we did buffet (DELICIOUS! EVERY MEAL! ) and only $10 for room service- no fee for the food, so ww ordered everything, lol. A pass thru so NO OPEN DOOR! 7th floor bar and food for VIP! Go. Use your Wyndham Rewards! Or, you're Wyndham timeshare pts! Lovely!
Food wasn’t the best. Service was slow and the property was very dated
The staff is amazing!
The only negatives are there was a towel shortage and the buffet is average at best. Most of the mixed drinks are also very watered down.
Pools were great. Area clean. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food great, easy to make reservations but had to make them one day ahead to have choice of time. No hot water in shower- reported to management several times during the stay without resolution. Also often not given full complement of towels.
Room was dirty. Elevator stopped working. Food options lacking.
We had a good experience at this resort. The food was good, buffet dinner options changed daily. The reserved restaurant dinners we tried were delicious from appetizer, main course, to dessert. Pools were nice and warm. Beach was nice. The best drinks came from the beach bar. Only down side is if you are sharing the suite with others the bathroom/shower doors are a bit see through so that was a bit of a struggle. Overall we hada very good experience at this resort.
If you go in with moderate expectations you won’t be disappointed. Make friends with the restaurant manager. He’s amazing and will take great care of you if you do.
A
The property was nice and the pools well maintained. Staff super helpful and friendly. Beach was great for boogie boarding and had adequate seating. Some parts of the property needed repair and it looked tired. The room junior suites) overlooked the mountains and was large and comfortable. The food in the buffet was average to boring. Nothing new and everything in a stew or sauce. Hamburgers and chicken were dry. Specialty restaurants had a limited menu amd small portions which is appropriate with fine dining. Loved that the coffee shop was open at 5 am. Was ompressed that the only music blasting was from the front pool. All else was quiet. If you want great food try a riu but a lovely quiet atmosphere is found here. Wont be a repeat for us as we actually ate out a coiple of times
Amazing staff
The property is small in comparison to otherd. A plus. Issues with water for many guests.
We just spent a week here at the Wyndham, at first I thought it was great, but after two days there was things that started to bother me. 1. Hotel room was no secure. Balcony door had no lock, and you could easily get onto our balcony from the room next door. 2. Housekeepers left us with zero towels, took the dirty ones and never replaced them. 3. My toddler had vomited at night, we asked for beds to be changed, she vomited on everything, sheets, towels, bathrobes… bathrobes were never replaced, we had no duvet for 2 nights, luckily it wasn’t that cold. 4. The food was not great! I was so excited thinking I would be laying by the pool eating guacamole and chips, yummy snacks through the day, and we weren’t allowed to order food for by the pool, and quac and chips was no where to be seen all week… fish tacos were disappointing, there was not a lot of vegetarian options, the buffet was hit and miss. 5. There was no ice cream…. The machine was broke I think and the only place u could get it was from the cafe, but u had to buy it! Not great when you spend thousands for an all inclusive and there’s no ice-cream to enjoy on hot day! I refused to buy it as we spent a lot on the holiday! 6. When I was putting my toddler down for her afternoon nap. I put the sign on the door that we were sleeping… housekeeping knocked on the door, I didn’t answer, then 5 min later the phone rings, they wanted to see if they could refill our mini bar. I’d never stay here again to be honest!
When booking it showed a "junior Suite" with two beds and a couch/sitting area. It was only two beds, not sitting area and definitely not what I consider "junior Suite." Also Bathroom was very small and offered no privacy. Every morning woke up to next door someone yelling profanities which could be heard through the walls. The access to restaurants was very limited and food subpar.
Rooms were clean, as were the pools. The buffet food was less than desirable. The food choices were odd and not alot of variety. Also the food at the buffet was warm at best. Glad there was an omelette station where you could at least get some hot breakfast, but they used the same bowl to mix everyone's omelette so even if you asked for no onions or tomatoes you got them anyways. Food at the a la cartes was also warm at best and very small portions but at least they were accommodating. Overall is would rate this resort a 6/10 because of the food.
Does not deserve 5 star Google rating.
Not what we expected from a 5-star google rated hotel. The site boasts 5 all inclusive restaurants but does not specify that there is limited daily reservations for the 2 out of 5 restaurants as only 2 are open daily and the 3rd is a buffet style. They also don't have a window for feeding people checking in after 3:30pm as their main buffet restaurant closes at 4:30pm. Our entire family got sick after eating a chicken sandwich snack while waiting for dinner to start at 6pm after checking in around 4pmish. This stomach sickness ruined most of our food pleasures for our entire 4 day stay. The hotel did give our elderly mother doctor care and medications which I can appreciate and they did give my sibling, niece and I a lovely final night dinner on the beach which we were able to enjoy the final dinner night after our stomachs almost fully settled by the 4th night.
The staff has poor customer service. There was probably 3 max 4 people who were courteous and friendly. We are American but not white so they treated us very differently than how they treat the white race. We will definitely not be returning to this hotel. I know we went in “high season” (12/25/24) but the hotel was not full and they seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people who were there. The food variety was very limited. You can tell they recooked left over food from dinner to add it to some breakfast dishes. There is snack restaurant you are supposed to be able access when you are at the pool or beach but they expect you to be full dressed and fully dried. Which defeats the purpose especially when you have kids that want to snack while they have fun in the water. Oh yeah and if you get food to go from the restaurants it’s considered room service and they charge for that. Ridiculous because we’re paying for an all inclusive hotel. Oh yeah and towels were low in the entire hotel. So your room towels could not be changed out on some days since there wasn’t enough for guests. That also went for pool towels.
The food was very good, there are lots of supper options for restaurants. There are lots of pool options with 3 pools, heated or natural both avaliable. There is a hot tub, tennis, ping pong, fooseball, beach volleyball and activites throuough the day. It is about 25-30 mins from puerto vallarta for shopping, so keep that in mind. You can book excusions through the hotel, Jose is the best to work with. If you choose vallarta adventures you can leave through the nuevo vallarta port which is about 5 mins away.
Worst all inclusive resort we have ever been to.
Did not enjoy the stay . 3/6 family members got food poisoning from the buffet. Our room didn’t have hot water until someone came to fix it and no ac until we got someone to come out and fix as well. One of our rooms had yellow water coming out of the tub. No theater room for shows. Overall not fun
Easygoing, safe very nice staff!!
Although the staff was polite and friendly, the hotel failed to meet our expectations in several areas. The food quality was disappointing, and there were no activities or entertainment planned for travelers. The restaurants were always full.making it hard to get a table. Additionally, basic amenities like towels were often unavailable, which was frustrating. The music and entertainment provided were dull and uninspiring. Overall, we felt like we wasted our money and left the hotel feeling bored and unsatisfied. Let me know if you’d like any changes or adjustments!
The worst all inclusive resort I have ever stayed at. Too many reasons to list. Food is awful service is not good. Rooms and surround areas are dirty. Towels for pool look like they 50 yrs old. Bedding has holes in it. Lots more things beside. I would not recommend and will never stay there again.
Great place for a family Christmas! Staff was awesome! Very friendly and helpful, big shout out to Rene Lizola and Lulu Rivera who made the buffet amazing every night! One thing that was tough for a family with teenagers is the room is very open concept…. No bathroom privacy besides that incredible, would definitely go back.
Buffet was ok for breakfast but needed more variety. Didn’t have hot water in the mornings for five days even after running the water for 10-20 minutes. No bread our last morning. Staff was good. We needed two entrees at the a’la cart restaurants-servings were very small.
Stay Away From This So-Called Resort Unless You Want to Ruin Your Vacation and Waste Your Money! Before booking, please read the following: 1. If you're expecting a variety of food, think again. The hotel has just one buffet restaurant, barely twice the size of a typical home kitchen. The menu is repetitive. While the resort advertises four à la carte restaurants, each offers only four items, and two of those are often unavailable. Drinks like wine are charged extra, even in the "all-inclusive" package. 2. There are three swimming pools, but only one is heated. Unless you're okay with swimming in freezing water, you'll be confined to just one pool. 3. The Jacuzzi’s water is barely warm—it's more like a mini swimming pool. It's always crowded with kids, so don't expect a relaxing soak. 4. Although you're given three pool towel cards, the towels themselves are elusive. The towel kiosk was always out. 5. Poolside chairs are extremely limited. If you want one, you'll need to wake up at 6 a.m. to reserve it for the day. 6. Prepare to shower in cold water. Some days, there's no hot water at all. 7. A glass partition between the shower and toilet allows water to leak into the toilet area through moldy caulking. This means you'll be stepping in drainage water to use the toilet. 8. Black mold is visible around the bottom of the shower 9. If you're hoping for evening entertainment, you'll be disappointed—there's none. If I had more space I would write more...
The customer service was the worst. The facility lied to us saying the problem was resolved and it was not. Promised things will be addressed and they were not. The food was not good either. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Would visit again!
The food was delicious, and the Staff was friendly and great nightly entertainment. The gym equipment could us an upgrade.
Very limited activities at resort and thought would be more of adult resort but it was all kids so kinda loud but the property was nice and the rooms were lovely
The property had good features and offered many excursion options. Good experience, we would go back.
It was an all-inclusive, however when you get there they try to nickel and dime with add ons and restrictions. Will not stay here again! JC
Food was average but the location was great and amenities were great also .
No bar in pool. Hard to get drinks, impossible to get bottled water.
My family and I went on our first Thanksgiving vacation to this resort. We wasted four hours when we got to the hotel because they messed up our reservation. The staff is rude and not accommodating at all. It’s supposed to be an all inclusive, but they have so many hidden fees, including for food and beverages. I will never stay at this hotel again there is zero activities for kids and adults. the management does not know how to manage nor do they know how to speak with their guest. I have visited Puerto Vallarta many times and stayed at many different hotels. This hotel by far was the worst experience my family and I have ever experienced. If you decide to stay here, make sure you take your own soap and shampoo because what they provide in the hotel is liquid water. Also take your own towels because their towels have not been replaced for probably 10 years. this was a disgusting experience. The food was also terrible overall rating I give it a negative.
Recommend for a chill vacay
Loved it, had a spa day, photography session, enjoyed the restaurants (not the highlight), and as a bonus, saw a turtle! As far as food it was ok, my favorite was the chilaquiles. They were authentic and the different types of salsas. The sunsets were amazing and the pools had a cool temperature.
Great beach and pools
This property requires better upkeep. The floor tiles in the room were loose. One elevator was broken, but fixed next day. One night the tap water was off. Otherwise, the three pools are great, big size and with a sunset view, if you swim in the evening. Beach outside the hotel is awesome, all sand and clean.
The hotel was very good however I did purchase a shuttle ride from hotel to airport on 4 Dec however grey line stated they had no reservation I had to take a taxi.
Overall good experience staff is excellent
The rooms were nice and the pools and beach were nice. If you don't like to be bothered by venders on the beach then this is not the resort for you. The food at the buffet was limited and very plain and there was no food options at the pool or beach. Drinks seemed to be watered down. The restaurants were very small portions with very little options for steak. We ate half of our meals off the resort. Staff were friendly if spoken to but did not go out of their way to be friendly. The club add on is not worth the money as the food and booze were limited.
The foods at the restaurant are very good and tasty tho there’s a lot of choices you can choose at the buffet. Food is just fine at the buffet. But I advise to book for the restaurant.
Service..room service poor. No pillow cases and no towels on checkin. Sheets a little sandy,so probably not changed. Staff....Average,some friendly, others bit grumpy. Pools....great! Very clean. Hot tub more like Warm tub with a few very weak jets. Shade....building shades 2 pools and half lounge chairs until 12noon,then full sun. Food.... average.not exciting.not all restraunts open.open alternate days and need reservations. Only 1 main one open. . Drinks.....weak,but good poolside service. Outdoors.... only a market worth seeing,30min walk Building.... standard Older building but maintained. Entertainment..... weak. All by poolside or music in lobby. Michael Jackson show great though. All Inclusive except Spa.
The ice cream machine was out of service so if you wanted ice cream you had to go to the cafe and buy some. There were times during the day that there was no where to eat as everything was closed so you had to do room service and pay.
Nice big rooms with jacuzzi on the balcony But ran down. Towels old and ripped. Staff are friendly but not very helpful.
We felt some of the staff was being subjective to us as compared to other foreign nationals.
What I liked about the property was the beach access and the pools. It was family friendly but not safe entirely— our suite has a balcony and the door wouldn’t lock. I had multiple family members give it a try and no one could get the latch to lock the sliding door. Second, the food quality was awful. The fresh juices were great but there was a lack of food options and flavor. For the size of the property & being all-inclusive they only had two open bars. The rooftop was under construction but down on the ground floor, only two and were crappy. I guess I’m not surprised since it’s all inclusive but that’s why the pricing of a stay should include the all- inclusive cost in it for quality options and have to pay extra.
The staff was amazing. Lots of delicious food and drinks. We enjoyed our stayed. Shout out to Ivan and Angela!
Cold water in the shower everyday Same menu everyday, no seafood other then ceviche Marisela, one employee there with the worse attitude making the worse experience You have to tip everyone in order to get good treatment, HORRIBLE
Very polite staff
Not enough staff at the front office
We were two friends on break from university who were super excited for this trip, but a couple situations let us down. First, during our check in we discussed with the concierge that we were not getting picked up until 3pm and asked if it would be alright for us to leave our bags with the bellhop since check out would be at 12pm - she said it wouldn’t be a problem and to talk to someone at a later time. The day that we went to talk to them about it again they told us it was a $25USD charge per hour to keep our bracelets on or they would be cut off and we would only be allowed in the lobby area to wait. Other guests that we later encountered with the same circumstance were given full access, not having to pay but still getting to keep their bracelets and use the facilities until 3pm. We were a little disappointed that based on our age we felt taken advantage of. Throughout our trip we had noticed that this was not the only situation where we were treated differently based on our younger age. During our dining experiences there were often times that servers wouldn’t come over to our table and were much more attentive with the tables of an older crowd. In our room we were not provided with shampoo or conditioner, even after calling down to the concierge and asking if they had any that we could use and they said they would have it sent to the room. The best part of our trip was with the enthusiastic activity workers. Specifically Naydelyn and Belen were great at getting people t
.
Great resort for family time
The property is really far from Puerto Vallarta. The rooms aren’t as beautiful for the price. Do not do the stupid upgrade they try getting you into supposedly VIP
Average
Hotel is old and service is limited in time up to 10 pm . But staff is friendly
We stayed for a week as a family vacation. The rooms and pools and beach are great. But, we have a 9 year old and this is not a kids friendly hotel. The food quality was terrible, everything about all the restaurants was always off. The taste was not good, the quality of the food was off, nothing was fresh. So even though we had paid for an all inclusive we ended up eating out most of our meals. In fact room service was the way to go as at least it felt like they prepared the food there and then. Another big downside was there was no food at the pools, so we always had to dry up and dress up and go to one of the restaurants to eat, which was inconvenient with a 9 year old. We Will never return to this hotel and do not recommend it, there’s tons of better options.
Someone put drugs in our drinks while on the beach causing us to black out. Staff tried to kick us out after this. Manager Sandra was extremely rude and unwilling to work with us in anyway. The ceiling in our room leaked. I found a roach and other bugs in our room. We asked for corporates phone number and where denied. I will be contacting the corporate office. You have been warned stay away.
The rooms could have been cleaner for the price, and the food also wasn't the greatest for the mexican customers, the beer and soda was flat most of the time. The stuff was great.
When we got our room the door knob was broken and it was missing the chain door lock, it was a big deal for us since we had our little kids traveling with us. We decided to upgrade rooms that same night. Our second room was great, besides the air conditioning fan making excessive noise. Hard to sleep if your a light sleeper. Overall, great experience we felt safe.
No hot water in the room bad place
Nice little hotel. Wish it had more amenities like better shows, and restaurants.
I liked the staff, all very friendly
We loved the Wyndham Alltra. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing .We spent most of our vacation in the pools and in the ocean. Had an ocean view room on the 8th floor with a Jacuzzi on the balcony and could hear the ocean from our balcony. The drinks crew checked on us every 15 minutes at the pool so we stayed hydrated. This resort was very quiet and peaceful compared to all of the other resorts we have visited, no pounding music making this a perfect resort for the middle age crowd. the room was huge, almost 600 feet and was ice cold, just what we needed as the week we went it was 91 to 96 degrees every day, late october. The only downside was the lack of daily entertainment and that the resorts offered beer was Tecate or dod Equis . Wish they served Corona or Sol but that's just my personal preference. Overall, the resort was excellent and we will be back, probably in a cooler month though. Joe from Chicago
No A/C on Elevators, extremely hot, room service didn’t clean our bathroom,
This property was very shabby. Upon check-in, there was no explanation of the dining options, resort amenities or "rules". Came to find out later from another guest that you must make reservations for all the dinner restaurants, if you lose your wrist band its a $100 charge, etc. Would have been helpful if this was disclosed upon check in. Made a few attempts to make dinner reservations but all restaurants booked for than evening and the next. Tried to make reservations for the third night but they said they dont accept reservations that early. We never had dinner at the hotel our entire stay and it was ALL INCLUSIVE!! Upon check-in to my room, there were zero towels or toiletries in the bathroom. I called to have towels delivered and they sent me 2 bath towels. I informed housekeeping that I was missing all the towels and toiletries, and she said she'd be back in 5 min. Never came back. My friend was here for a medical procedure and was not able to go down to buffet for a meal. I asked if I could bring food to her, but they said no. The room service food was absolutely disgusting. When I told the manager that the clinic referred us to this hotel and assured us that we'd be comfortable, she responded, "youre friend will be just fine with the room service". Incredibly rude! I asked her to waive the $9 delivery charge for room service which they did for that night. The safe in my room was broken, no ice machines available. Plates at buffet were filthy.
This is a very beautiful place. Sadly we were completely bored. This could be our own fault as we picked it as a panicked second option(travel company mistake) or maybe due to it being the off season,or type of resort. There was no entertainment or guest participating activities. The resort itself is gorgeous though and the staff were very nice.
NO HOT WATER FOOD NOT SO GOOD
Terrible food the room really needs a lot of improvement they control the bottle water 2 small bottles per person per day on a very hot an humid environment. I pay more to have a junior suite a the jacuzzi on the balcony was completely neglected and no water on it. This is max a 2 start hotel
The food was delicious, friendly staff, and they cared much about safety which was fantastic
Staff didn’t know where restaurants were amenities tv stop working never showed to fix it - Pool was dirty - alleys were dirty but very attentive
The staff was nice enough but the hotel is old and ran down, I definitely wouldn’t stay again or recommend staying there to family or friends.
Didn't like food served at the hotel not much to choose from about the property location is not ocean front you can't hear the ocean from your room I staid on 6th floor is not for me or my wife
Servicio malo, no tienen buena atención no me gustó el ninguna forma
NOISY LOW QUALITY FOOD & FLIES , BIRDS IN RESTAURANTS LIMITED DINING CONSTRACTION NO INTERTAINMENT FOR AMERICAN & CANADIAN BROKEN FURNITURES OLD & CHIPPED CAPS & DISHES
Do not recommend this hotel at all
Very limited dinning, main buffet was closed due to renovating, no activites or shows and you cant even have a speaker by the pool for music they suggest using headphones which is crazy
Location and service was the hole 9 yards
The vibe all around the premises is just breathtaking and takes one to a very tranquil private world!
I got food poisoning they were going to charge me $100 dollar just to recommend me to a doctor, I had to seek help outside the hotel. Also it was all inclusive, but the room only had 2 beers if I needed more I would have to pay $130 pesos each time I order room service! Never will I go back to that place
They need to hire staff and like a lot! We waited to gain entry to our room for almost an hour, and our room was not cleaned every day we had to keep asking for fresh towels and such. Depending on what building you stay in, you could be staying in the updated super nice area closest to the beach area or you could be in the old building which is super far and inconvenient. The buffet is not something that you want to eat everyday.
I felt like I was in a mini Jurassic Park. The iguanas were beautiful to see until they started jumping up in the laps of guest while eating..
The property was absolutely amazing. My wife and I enjoyed the view of the ocean and seeing all the iguanas on the property
This resort, even though advertised as an all inclusive, is NOT a true all inclusive resort. We stayed here as a big family group of 20 people celebrating a family occasion July 2024, and are very disappointed with the quality of service as well as quality of dining options and menu. Here are the issues we encountered at this resort: -to eat at the buffet you need to line up, provide your last name and room number and then wait to be seated.Sitting area in the buffet is limited and menu was the same daily. We chose to eat off resort 2 times as it just was not worth our time -no snack bar is available by the pool area. To get snacks like burgers, nachos and fries, you have to go to the restaurant and repeat the same process it takes to enter the buffet. You then are seated and order off a menu. This is extremely inconvenient as you need to be dry to enter and you waste time waiting in getting changed as well as waiting for a waiter.Eating things like ice cream is not possible by the pool because it's an ordeal to go fetch one from the restaurant -waiters by the poolside were limited and we often had go and grab drinks ourselves.you are also limited to 4 drinks per order and shots are not allowed -very limited nighttime entertainment -two nights the barman told us they ran out of glasses so they could not serve drinks -the manager Alejandro Arteaga was very unapproachable and refused to speak with us when we sought assistance. Very disappointing. we WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
Everything was grear
Service was excellent. Everyone speaks english or tries to. All staff are pleasant to deal with. Pools are always clean and plenty of space to relax.
Place looks nothing like the pictures. It’s a very old hotel and not updated. Half of the hotel is for residents who live there and you can only use half of the hotel. Food was terrible and you must reserve for all restaurants the day you arrive or they won’t let you reserve on any other day of your stay. When I checked in they gave me the keys and when I got to my room the bed was not done nor did the pillows have covers. Hairs were everywhere in the shower floor, room floor , and bathroom. I went with a group of four and the rooms they got were also dirty. We let the lobby attendant know and he sent someone to clean it but gave us attitude and asked what did we want them to do about our complain. It had not been more then 20 min since we got the room and already so many red flags. The elevators were very old and would break every day and had no ac. They only have 2 elevators in the hotel for everyone so we used the stairs for the most part and I was on the 7th floor so everyday was a workout. We ate once at the hotel because only one day was open for reservations. So we had to eat out every day which defeats the purpose of all inclusive. Bartender was extremely rude and would ignore guest who ordered drinks he didn’t want to do which was basically any cocktail. He would only give beers or rum punch unless you tipped him prior to getting your drink. I don’t recommend this place at all.
In general the is reasonable, I just don't like the dinner reservations, take long time to make reservation, also it's very hard to find or talk to the general manager.

Awesome trip, the staff is very friendly and helpful, food was good everywhere, nice rooms and views. We’ll be back.
