Historic hotel near the White House and Washington Memorial, very nice!
Top hotel option in Washington, DC.
Amazing. Period.
Too expensive for what it is Never told us that we had a resort fee
GREAT ATTENTION TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND CARE
Fantastic location in DC! If I hadnt booked this hotel I would have wished I did. Will most definitely be back.
Disappointing. We were overcharged for parking after we were told it was waived. Staff was rude. Our sink flooded and we couldn’t use it. Unacceptable for the price we paid for the room. Disappointed.
Very nice
They charge a lot for a room, which I get. But then they have low class habits like charging for snacks in the room, and upcharging $35/nt for "amenities" that the hotel provides, such as internet and gym. You are already paying for that level of quality. Low class, Willard, low class.
Fun stay in DC!
The Willard is an iconic DC hotel and it was a blast staying here. The lobby and main floor are elegant and tasteful. Our room was spacious and had a cool view of downtown. We were also walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Definitely recommend.
Willard, DC
Great property, great location
Was not informed the restaurant was under renovation when we booked. Also called about mini fridge not cooling and no one ever came to check it out. Plus side they did accommodate both an early check in and late check out.
Loved the hotel. The Christmas tree in the lobby was beautiful.
Great location. Beautiful building. Food not up to par.
.It was a beautiful and elegantly decorated room, with a comfortable bed and a lovely chaise lounge.
Always a delight to stay here for the New Years gala. Some small problem with moldy residue in the shower which was not addressed after reporting this to the front desk but otherwise a lovely room.
Great location beautiful hotel.
The holiday decorations were elegant and sophisticated. I was disappointed that there was no evening turndown with treats. At another hotel where we stayed after leaving the Willard we had nightly little brandy glasses with a small bottle of amaretto and chocolates, with a turned down bed and new water bottles.
Property was located close to event we needed to attend.
This property needs upgrade. We picked this hotel to stay for historic significance but it would have been better to visit the hotel as tourist. Lobby area is great but not maintained or cleaned during peak hours. Room is clean but bed is totally not comfortable. Service needs to be improved as well.
Amazing location.
Loved our stay. Only downside was waiting 45 minutes for valet to return our car to leave. Other than that, loved every moment!
The Willard had no record of my reservation. I'd appreciate if someone could contact me to let me know what happened. Thank goodness they weren't sold out otherwise i'm not sure what i would have done. I've been a long time orbitz customer but questioning if i'd use in the future after this experience.
Elegant and luxurious!
The water in our room was cold every morning and the water pressure was terrible.
Nice place.
The gentleman at the front desk at check in on 12/11 at 10:30 pm was fantastic. Great service, great positive approach.
We loved every part of staying here
All around great experience
Beautiful property with a very friendly and helpful staff!
The Willard was ideal! Location was perfect, Concierge was excellent and most helpful. Room was elegant and the bed was dreamy. High Tea with in-person harpist was a particular treat!
!
This is a beautiful, historical hotel. Classy and upscale without being ostentatious. My room was very comfortable, and everyone I interacted with polite and efficient.
Fabulous hotel, great services location A+++
We have stayed in many 4-5 star hotels over the years in many parts of the world. The historic Willard is a truly 5 star experience. Has that "old school" flavor that I like. Gorgeous tiled floors and woodwork, very comfortable beds and quite rooms, excellent breakfast. The staff was wonderful and the concierge very helpful with some dinner reservations. Straight walk up Pennsylvania Ave to the Capital, short walks (less then a half hour) to Holocaust and African American museum, the National Gallery, the National Archives, Smithsonian Air and Space, and American History museum and the Mall. Right next to the US Treasury and just a block from Lafayette Park and the White House. There were always cabs out front if you needed one.
Really beautiful room, good amenities, and accommodating staff. Absolutely recommend
The property was beautiful but the rooms were a bit behind the times. There was a TV but not a smart TV. The bathroom shower produced luke warm water. Behind the bedside tables were very dusty when I plugged in my power cords. Again the the property and amenities were great but for the price I excepted the rooms to be updated.
I recently stayed at the Willard InterContinental Washington, an IHG Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The historical charm of the hotel, combined with its modern luxury, made for a perfect stay in the heart of Washington, D.C. The service was outstanding, and I must give special recognition to Gomes, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Gomes was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and professional. His knowledge of the hotel’s history and his genuine care for guests made a lasting impression. He provided excellent recommendations for dining and local attractions and always greeted me with a smile, making me feel like a valued guest. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, with major landmarks like the White House, National Mall, Holocaust Memorial Museum, and The National Museum of African American History & Culture were within walking distance. The ambiance of the lobby, with its stunning architecture and elegant décor, sets the tone for the luxurious experience that awaits. The Peacock Alley is a fantastic spot for enjoying a relaxing afternoon tea, and the Round Robin Bar offers a historic setting to unwind with a cocktail. Overall, my stay at the Willard InterContinental was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of its rich history, prime location. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Washington, D.C.
A delightful property that has high tea and real newspapers
One of my favourites
The start was very comfortable and staff were very helpful and welcoming
Not Your Average Hotel
Beautiful historic hotel that has been gorgeously decorated. Excellent and personable service. The room was elegantly appointed
The Willard is a classic and deserves to be. Simply excellent but most notably supported by a top tier staff.
I was great room and location.
Not a real five star hotel, staff was awesome but the property have utilities issues regarding water temperature, air conditioning and etc, they need to update these rooms soon
Overall0c our stay was pretty good. However, we had to ask for housekeeping three times until they came. Also, the housekeeper left the bottle of cleaner in the bathroom and didn’t remove used soap from the bathroom from the previous occupant. When we arrived, they started helping people around us and people behind us because they mistook my Chevy suburban for a limo. I had to get out of the vehicle to get someone to help us. On the plus side, the hotel is beautiful, pretty clean, and the location is great. Most of the staff is quite friendly.
Maybe the dirtiest hotel room I’ve stayed in. I wasn’t expecting that at this hotel. We were only there for a night to catch a flight and it was too late for me to try to switch rooms.
Great classic hotel look and feel. Great service . Would definitely come back
All perfecr
Wonderful Hotel Staff
Hallways very dirty
It’s a lovely historic property.
Ok
DC stay
The Hotel was fantastic. The location was perfect, the staff was great and everything was great. The room was very comfortable and large. The hotel was very expensive, but worth it.
Friendly and convenient.
There’s no doubt that the main foyer and restaurant areas are breathtaking and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, the rooms/bathrooms and lobby areas are extremely dated and nowhere near a 5* hotel rating or the high prices. From the dated furniture and carpets in the rooms, to the cheap wallpaper and wooden vanity units in the bathroom and then the strange corrugated panels in the lobby areas which seem like unfinished construction work.. this is just not a 5* hotel.
Hotel staff were great!! Rooms were clean and beds very comfy!!!!
The historical atmosphere along with the exquisite finishes, pictures, and stories made this a favorite for us! The restaurants and seating outside had a European feel for us on such a beautiful day. The room was spacious and comforting and we loved it so much that we asked what mattress brand was used. We would go back here anytime. The walking and views were incredible. Full five stars for us!
Great historical hotel in convenient location!!
The hotel location is great, the service and staff pretty professional, the rooms are clean and the bed is so comfy! I’ll be staying here in the future.
Style and location
Time flies also here... so many things need to be fixed, refinished...
The overhead lighting did not work in the room.
Excellent hotel. This was my second time there and they did not disappoint. Great service always
Excellent hotel, conveniently placed. Attentive welcoming staff.
As first time visitors to Washington DC staying at the Willard InterContinental Washington was the best choice my husband I could have made. From the friendly and curteous staff, to the rooms with a view, to the location, the history of the hotel itself and much more. Yes there is no fridge or microwave but that would very much go against what the hotel is known for. The hotel as mentioned before is in a great location, it's only a small 2 to 3 min walk away from The White House, there is a stop for The Old Town Trolley Tour and The Big Bus Tour right outside as well. There are plenty of places nearby to eat and if you're looking to use public transport there are a few stops nearby that are accessible. We'd definitely choose to stay here again!
Impeccable service at a well maintained historic property. I’m looking for an excuse to return!
Everything you would hope for in a prestigious hotel.
Great location for a very nice hotel.
Beautifully maintained elegant old hotel. The location is great for walking to many sites or easy access by car. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend The Willard for a step “back in time”.
I was very pleased with my stay. Only complaint I have is the breakfast I prepaid for it was horrible if I ever stay here again I wouldn’t do the breakfast I’ll go elsewhere to eat.
A lovely stay
Cannot beat the location of this hotel - one block up from the Washington Monument and one block away from the White House. Staff is excellent. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We had a fantastic stay!
Perfect
Great location, grand property and services.
Hotel was absolutely beautiful and staff were amazing.
We did not have hot water. Parts of shower did not work. Unacceptable for a 5-star property.
Beautiful Hotel!
Beautiful place! Staff was very nice. Can’t wait to come back
Beautiful property and great ssrvice
Historic and beautiful
I love the Willard Intercontinental hotel. My stay was fabulous as usual. Highly recommend dining in the hotel as their food is delicious
Safety,convenient
Very nice historical hotel in excellent location. Very classy with an old charm. Definitely will be back.
Wonderful! We loved our stay. Everything was perfect!
Very nice
Fabulous Hotel
Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean, and they went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, and central to a lot of things. The history of the hotel is amazing with all the dignitaries, and celebrities that have stayed there. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Washington, DC.
Everything about the Willard is lovely -- the staff is professional, accommodating, friendly and represents the hotel with the highest level of stateliness. It is a wonderful hotel experience.
Excellent
They were so helpful and welcoming to a family with a toddler! The valet parking was amazing and quick and everyone was super friendly!
Outstanding service, beautiful property, impeccable historic feeling!
Timeless hospitality
The Willard never disapoints. Every little detail has been covered from a staff and property perspective and the location is so hard to beat.
This Hotel was amazing !!
Excellent location. Good service Beautifully made hotel. The breakfast requires a bit of improvement like more dining space and a bigger menu
Really enjoyed this hotel, great location enabling us to walk to all the DC hot spots and really good restaurants! Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
Property is located near everything walking distance
Excellent hope to come back
Great hotel. Great location. Nice gym.
Great property and excellent location
We stayed four nights. The location is unbeatable. The “grandeur” is there…but it needs an “updo and TLC”. Así from the toilet not flushing (it was promptly fixed) what got me upset, really, was that one day housekeeping forgot to do/clean our room. We came really late/tired and everything was as we left it in the morning…At this price? Unbelievable.
Everything was perfect
