Holiday in Auckland

Very helpful in arrangement for shuttle airport pickup. Great recommendation for restaurants. All staff always had a smile.

The staff were very helpful, and kind. They made sure we were treated like their special guest. If ever I’m in Auckland again I will definitely book my accommodations with Voco

Comfortable stay, sad late night snacks

Loved the area that we found ourselves in and loved the eco-friendliness of the hotel overall. The breakfast was pretty good, but for the bar you needed a reservation (so you can't stay for too many drinks, sadly). One thing of note is that even as a couple we weren't quite ready for the barely-there bathroom doors. It took some getting used to. Another thing is that the room service options, outside of alcohol, were a little lackluster compared to room service options we've had elsewhere.

Amazing stay

I was here for 6 days. Beautiful property, very friendly and accommodating staff. I have zero complaints. The room was very clean (and the bathroom which I’m a stickler about) This was also some of the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had as well. 10/10. Will be back

Great stay, and offered late checkout and discount at the rooftop bar when signing up which was awesome! Awesome views from the rooftop bar. Reception staff really friendly and helpful

Great hotel and location

A lovely place to stay, just a short walk from the shopping center, with a breathtaking view. The only downside was that they didn’t refill the water.

Great location and great service in the heart of the CBD. The cost value of the hotel is very good. The view was amazing. The best way to start our journey in the country.

Our 37th floor room had an amaxing city/harbour view! The towels were luxurious and staff were so friendly and helpful! Great honey and walnut pizza in the main floor cafe!!!

Great hotel in a great location.

Ok

Very clean and quiet accommodation, aircon didn't work effectively, was noisy making it hard to sleep. The exhaust fans in bathroom didn't work at all. Make sure you check your bill at checkout as the girl told us laundry had not been added so I did the right thing and told her to add it, only to find when I had time to check it later at the airport that we had been charged twice for our laundry, I have since emailed Voco but have not heard anything back (I won't hold my breath). Such a shame as we would've re visited on our next trip but I'll try somewhere else next time.

Good location but no access to roof bar

Good location with a fabulous roof deck bar/restaurant that was unfortunately only made available to us for 1 nite out of 4, despite having booked 2 rooms. I spoke with Chris the General Manager who claimed this was a 4 1/2 star hotel, yet he failed to address any of our issues. There are much better hotels in the area for consideration next time

Average for the brand & cost

Not the usual experience from the IHG group unfortunately. Ripped towels, infrequent room service, had to demand toilet paper multiple times. Didnt have the usual amenties kits. Behind shower doors where dirty and the grout needed a good clean but room was otherwise tidy. Absolutely NO ventilation. AC is motion sensored and temp limited. The on site laundry was a plus, breakfast was a great selection but the raw bacon was gross. Overall pretty expensive for what it was.

Was very comfortable stay. Everything we needed was within waking distance. Offered a later checkout when our flight was delayed which was great

Lovely room with plenty of space and views. Everything was great right in the city, but not sure why they put sensors above the bed. There was a bright green light that stayed on it was that bright you had to pull the sheet up to get to sleep.

We had a family of 4 staying but only 2 glasses were provided for water. We found a mouldy jellybean under the bed and items from a previous tenant in one of the drawers. Hotel was clean and had great views, very convenient for inner city stay.

A very nice hotel. Close to all shops, walking distance to the Viaduct. A very nice experience.

The lady who check us in Wednesday morning was literally amazing, Her name began with an A, but hard for me to remember. However, the rest of the staff gave off the impression we worked for them. Sal in the rooftop bar was the worst. Very uncooperative and zero hospitality. We had to call to get our room cleaned. Asked for laundry bags, never got them.

The hotel was very clean and central located within walking distance to main attractions such as sky tower an casino plus queen street shopping and harbour.

Friendly front desk staff who provided excellent communication when we unexpectedly arrived early. Room was very clean, welcoming and plenty of space available with lovely views of the city. The beds were extremely comfortable and the black out curtains were excellent!

Great location and very comfortable and clean!

Great location. Easy walk to harbour and Skytower. We had a fantastic view from our corner room. I would have given 5 stars but during our 6 night stay we had to ask for servicing of our room on 3 occasions. The staff were very apologetic and arranged the service asap. Overall a good stay.

2 nights stay in Auckland

This is the first Voco brand name I have stayed at, and it exceed all my expectations. The front desk staff is efficient and polite after we arrived from a long flight. The hotel is new, clean, beautifully decorated and modern. Nice size room with a great view of the city. It’s situated in the middle of downtown, short walk to all the major attractions, including a nice sized grocery store just a block away to stock up on the local snacks. We Enjoyed every minute of the hotel, super happy with it.

Clean and comfortable

I had a room with view of the tower. The hotel was nicely centrally located, a quick walk to the ferry. It was my first time in Auckland and I really enjoyed my stay. The room was always clean, beds were comfortable, and there was a water station right in the hallway. I would definitely return and stay again.

We loved our room with a perfect view of the Skytower! The restaurant Mozzarella & Co below was a great surprise and the service we received by Shubhesh was top notch! We will definitely stay here again.

Room had broken glass on floor on arrival. Very disappointing when following this up with staff at reception. No apology or concern.

Lovely hotel, service at reception was very slow, drinks expensive, couldn’t get into rooftop bar as fully booked, lifts the slowest on Earth. Apart from that fabulous!

Overrall good but there is room for improvement

Overall stay was ok but it was disappointing that the room was not clean when we return in the late afternoon. It probably has to do that it is a dense population but it didn’t help the situation. As the clean up the day before wasn’t ideal as well as the coffee cups and glasses were not washed as well. Other than that, the location is central and convenient to get around . Plenty of food options

Clean, smart, close to Britomart, shops, sky city, pleasant stay and accommodating when we turned up a little bit early. The only inconvenient thing was booking two rooms under one booking and each room being on separate floors, so we couldn’t go between rooms without getting someone to meet us at the stair door on each floor. We were only here one night, they possibly would have added the other floor to our room key for access if asked, but we weren’t there long enough. Otherwise perfect for our stay.

View was amazing. Comfortable amenities and great service. Rooftop bar is excellent. Loved the food and cocktails. Will definitely stay again.

The staff at this hotel were lovely and very helpful, the room was very clean and had the best view.

Everything was great except they don't have any basic amenities like cotton buds, shower cap, slippers etc. you have to request to have any of these(not sure if slipper is even provided) and it seems like they are trying to cut costs and when requested, they take 3-4 hours to get delivered. Staff are amazing and very friendly.

Long Weekend

Lovely hotel in central location. We had a lovely quiet room and room was spacious and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay again. Check out Bar Albert…great views from 38th floor.

Great choice

Great location in Auckland and great staff (mistakenly went to the adjoining Holiday Inn, where the service was so far below the level at Voco, checking in at Voco was such a relief!). The breakfast buffet was great, many standard offerings but the juices and barista coffee put it in a league above the others in NZ.

I recently stayed at the Voco Hotel Auckland and had a delightful experience overall. The hotel’s location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of Auckland. It’s within walking distance to popular attractions like SkyCity, Viaduct Harbour, and Britomart, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The rooms are spacious, modern, and offer stunning views of the cityscape. The beds are super comfy, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. While the breakfast selection was decent, it could benefit from more variety. Additionally, the water pressure in the showers was a bit low, which was a minor inconvenience. Despite these small issues, I would definitely recommend Voco Hotel Auckland for its prime location and overall comfort. It’s a great base for anyone looking to explore Auckland!

A nice stay

Property is well maintained, updated and conveniently located.

Great location but very disappointed we weren’t able to utilise the rooftop bar, fully booked out apparently and no access for hotel guests.

Enjoyed our stay at voco. We checked in early and were able too have access to our room. Staff were friendly and helpful room was clean and spacious. Had a beautiful view from our window of the Skycity tower

Very friendly personnel

The reception staff were really welcoming and our room was ready for us by lunchtime. The room is really nicely presented and has everything you need and we had the most amazing views of the whole of Auckland and the sky tower from our 34th floor. I was very impressed by the whole stay.

Nice stay. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Room was cleaned every day with zero fuss. Only issue was the rooftop bar was closed mostly while we were staying which would have been nice. Great hotel within walking distance of everything downtown. Would recommend.

2 adults and 2 children. Was pleasantly during our stay at how nice the facilities were. The staff were exceptional.

Our second stay at the hotel. It was good. Our room wasn’t serviced by the time we got back to the hotel at 4pm, which was disappointing. It was eventually serviced, but whilst we were trying to get ready to go out for dinner. Unless you’re a giant the pillows are just way too high, so take your own!

My husband and I booked a weekend Staycation with Voco Auckland for two nights. Upon check-in we got upgraded to the second highest floor (level 36). Initially we booked the Harbour View Room. The room upgrade was the SkyTower and Bay View which was beautiful. The room itself was clean and spacious for two people. The bathroom was big and could fit two people at the same time. There was parking next door to the Hotel, but we weren't able to park there due to vehicle height restrictions. Not the hotel's issue. However, there is a number of car parks around the area with a short walk. The location is situated close to Queen Street and all the shops. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with Voco Auckland. Looking forward to staying with them again.

Service from the front desk was amazing from the start. The bar being rented out on Thursday wasnt great especially when the restaurant closed 30 minutes early. That was qutie a let down fon a Thursday night. Also vacumming while I was still sitting in the restaurant for breakfast was a bit tacky. For the money this hotel cost the F&B side of things should have been better.

Great hotel right in the heart of the CBD. Friendly staff, lovely room with stunning views, well appointed, and happy for city activities. Also very quiet so nice to not have the city noise at night.

I liked the location,it was very centrally located and easy access to a lot of different facilities.
