The service at this location was exceptional. We had an all inclusive package and every meal was delicious. There were always people cleaning and caring for the property. All the staff were friendly and helpful and would go out of their way to provide excellent service.
Villa del Palmar Flamingo all nclusive was exce! Clean, friendly ! Beautiful!
My Gf and I enjoyed our one night here. The staff and amenities are top notch
The property was clean and it appeared all of the rooms including ours had a good view of the pool area and ocean. Most of the staff were friendly and they didn't push too hard for the time share or membership purchase which we declined at check in. Food was mostly good with all of the restaurants having something we enjoyed, with the only drawback being an occasional hour or more wait for a table. The guys at the poolside bar were awesome as was the woman who normally worked the lobby bar. Kids club was more run down than the pictures advertised, but our daughter still had a good time and the staff were always friendly. The close walk to Bucerias allowed us safe and convenient access to non-resort food and activities. Don't pay for the shuttle from the airport, it's 3x more expensive and a hassle compared to a cab. The listing says you can use the outdoor pool at the neighboring resort which is incorrect, security wouldn't let us on the property. The taco bar was so slow we walked out one time without ever getting an order in and another time left after waiting forever but not receiving a check. They really need to get control of people saving and not utilizing chairs around the pool, by 10am daily there isn't a single chair left unreserved and at least half of them stay empty all day. Even though we were all inclusive they kept giving us a bill to sign, it was an annoying part of every meal. Their reservation system was down almost our entire stay.
It was really well run and managed. Clean very nice rooms. Well maintained. Food was excellent. The only negative is maid did not restock fridge water or coffee etc. They did not have it in their cart. I would go back. I loved every time we came back from excursion the lobby bell boy would say" welcome home". It always made us feel welcome. If you are all inclusive do not write any tip on the bill. We always tipped in cash but if you note this on receipt you will owe this at the end. No one explained this. Do not do the time share unless your interested. Its 2 or 2.5 hours pure pressure selling Resort was beautiful. Nice clean pools and premium drinks. All restaurants were very good food. All staff helpful and nice to deal with. Our safe battery was low and asked to fix they and they did it right away. Beautiful views and comfy beds. Very nice area with walking path across street to go to bucerias. Taxi's everywhere. I like the fact they have food safety designation. You wont be disappointed here. Kudos to management.
Resort located at very quite and safe place.food server were really helpful. Pool has plenty of chairs.Hot water pool located at sea view .Every thing was perfect. All rooms has partial sea view .loved the property layout big pool right at beachfront
Service was not as fabulous as it has been in the past. Computer system was not working. Love the wrist band door keys but not how they hang down where they’re tightened (ended up in food several times). Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Dirty floors. Patio door didn’t lock. Food was okay. Theme nights were very loud from in the room with closed doors.
Members can be territorial. So is too expensive. Complimentary Shuttle to the nearby cities old be nice
The property is beautiful and the food is great, if you compare it to other "all inclusive" resorts. Also the drinks are brand name drinks. The area is beautiful, short walking distance to Bucerisas and the beach is perfect! We booked "Junior Suites" and were surprised to get just regular rooms. Apparently this is what Junior Suites mean in this resort. Staff is great but the biggest challenge was reception. their English is close to non-existent and they are S-L-O-W... Bottomline, if you set your expectations straight, this is a great resort and we would definitely consider coming back...
Everyone was nice! Great customer service!
Our stay at the hotel was great. Pools are nice and warm, food was good. Beach access and activities were good too.
We were part of a group. With multiple people staying in suites. Our suite was noisy, the mechanicals kept us awake every night. The suites encountered the same problem. The staff was rude and dining options were limited. Would not go back.
Great Location Medium size with the best pool Pool is huge and perfect for kids and adults Beautiful jacuzzi Very slow food service at el Patron dining.
It is a decent resort. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was well maintained and loungers were cleaned daily. The biggest issue we had with limited food options and same menu for vegetarians. We went to the same Italian restaurant for dinner which got boring. The food service was super slow. It also took a long 1-1.5 hrs to get food at Taco bar and El Patron. It was always an hour wait to get seated at the Italian restaurant. The staff seemed overworked and a bit rude at times.
Trip
Nice environment.
The only thing preventing me from giving excellent on this review is the food poisoning me and my whole family received from the tacos Al pastor. Don’t eat pork. Everything else was amazing. We come here every time and it’s the best!
Great
It kinda sucked when I found out that I had to pay for a steak I couldn’t eat. It was supposed to be a rib eye but it was mostly fat! And they could work on their activities.. they weren’t nearly as cool as they were 15 years ago! But the pool servers were fantastic!
Computer system was down, so things were a little slow and sometimes frustrating. The resort staff handled it like no other and did the best to not let the lack of technology disrupt us too much. I will say the ‘investment property’ sales presentation was way too much. It was so high pressured I found myself feel bad by the end of it. All in all an amazing vacation and beautiful property.
We enjoyed our visit. Staff are friendly, service very good. The few things we had small issues with they addressed right away.
For the money this was great value. The staff was always attentive and helpful. The menu could use a little work but for the money I guess I can't complain.
My family spent my 70th birthday and Thanksgiving here, so much for all ages, from 4-16 . Food, staff, servers, everyone was professional and at our service. Thank you for amazing memories.
Property at high level, staff very polite and welcoming. Very very clean, everything works ( AC,tv,escalators, in bathroom). Excellent pool. Nice beach. Negative side: annoying karaoke, poor variety of food, for some reason you have to sign bill for every dinner even if you have all inclusive package. Ideal for older couples. Overall this hotel is a good choice. Very good for my family.
It was hard to find where the restaurants were. Only one premium restaurant and it was very under staffed and food at best was barely warm. Could use more food variety. Luis the porter excellent. All of the morning breakfast waiters, poolside waiters and housekeeping went above and beyond. The nightly in room surprises were exceptional!
5 stars is not enough for this amazing place. From beginning to end, we've never experienced such an incredible vacation. Everything from the property, the service, food, music, location, amenities, care and attention, with just the loveliest and happy staff who all appear to just love their jobs. Even the vendors on the beach are super sweet. A special shout out to Enrique (!!!) Maria (!!!), Marcos, Diego, Alejandro, Jonathan, Lupita, Iris and Carla...and so many more we can't remember everyone's names. It's super hard to leave and go back to real life after this as everyone here makes you feel like family. We will return as soon as possible to see everyone again! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING and for making my 50th birthday so special and memorable. Love you all!
This was a beautiful, quiet resort with amazing food options and nice, but low-key, entertainment. The all-inclusive had buffet for breakfast, but the rest were high quality a la carte. The staff were friendly, the ocean fun to swim in, beautiful beach, and very clean & comfortable rooms. There were always chairs available on the beach and around the pool. The cleanest resort we've stayed at in Mexico. They do ask you to join them for their Time Share Presentation, but are ok if you say no. We went with our 3 teenagers and went on a snorkeling & ziplining tour - planned through the resort when we got there - and had a great time. The staff are very helpful & professional. They help you organize transportation and activities. It is not a busy, party resort. It was very relaxing!
Check in could have been smoother. Would like just a little more food variety. Wait staff was FANTASTIC. All staff in general was very welcoming and friendly.
Overall the property was amazing. Excellent food and drinks. Only problem was lunch was not included in all inclusive on last day.
This was our first visit in Puerto Vallarta. This resort was amazing. We came with our two kids ages 6 and 10, we spent most of the day at the swimming pool and the beach, went to 3 different activities - dolphins, zip lining and ATVs. The staff was amazing. They provided us great discounts. The food is incredible. All six restaurants were good above and beyond, highly recommended!!!
Pool was nice and clean! The welcoming staff was not welcoming, it’s presented as an all-inclusive but we had to give them our room numbers every time we asked for a drink or food items. For example, every time we were done at the pool, they would make us wait. Give us a bill that we have to sign, even though it’s inclusive resort. I understand that the whole resort is not all inclusive, but we had the wristbands that said it was we shouldn’t have to sign a bill every single time.
This was a place that sells time shares. RUI palace was way better. Night and day better
So wonderful from sign in to check out. See you next year!
Overall want to mention the staff and waiters were awesome. But the resort itself lacked we stayed for a week in room 1506B and let me tell you the air conditioner did not work properly in the room we did report it nothing was done the shower was terrible hard to get in you literally needed a stepper to go in and out very unsafe not only for adults but for the kids was a red flag we have stayed at other Villa del Palmar locations and never had such a bad experience everywhere we went there was no air conditioner working would I stay here again my answer is NO would I recommend to my family NO Truly Blanca Luna
Our second time at Flamingos, loved it.
The places to dine in had no air conditioners.
Really enjoyed! Food was one of the best I’ve had at a resort!
Amazing resort specially if you get the all inclusive. Note that for transportation just get the official taxi at the airport, not from the people who offer Uber black or resort direct, the one at the airport is controlled and is fine.
First time in Mexico and went with our best friends who had been to Flamingos several times! It did not disappoint was so nice doing the all inclusive so you didn’t have to worry about anything other then tipping the amazing staff! Everyone was so friendly and the food was amazing! Meet so many people from different places! Strongly recommend this place!
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay the first week of September. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service! This is a smaller resort with a few donning options but I was pleased with the quality of the food. I find that a lot of all inclusives do not have decent food and this was a pleasant surprise. We received many treats left in our room! You do still have to sign for your food and drinks while all inclusive, however you open a tab and before you leave a certain area (e.g., the beach), then you sign your name, room number and finish with your signature. They are finishing a renovation outside of their main dining area. It looks beautiful! Very calm and peaceful place with mostly people over the age of 40. My partner and I are in our mid twenties and there was one other group there our age. Some families were also there and there is a children’s place for them to have fun! Beach was well maintained.
2nd time staying at Flamingos and Estancia. Wonderful food, clean and warm pool, fun activities, warm and nice sea, great rooms. Will be coming back some time soon
Safe and clean place
This place is amazing, great customer service and great resort. Highly recommend this resort
Amazing stay! The all inclusive package is worth every penny!!
Nice venue, not enough restaurants. Very nice for families. Didn’t have much entertainment as other resorts been to. Buffet was very busy, 2 restaurants are outside so it was too hot to eat outside. Done room service most time. Workers are nice. It’s all inclusive but they issue receipts for all transaction for tips. Sometime it’s annoying because they ask for it even if it’s water. Causes a lot backlog as not much staff. They’re currently expanding. So there was construction. Kids club is nice. Japanese restaurant was good There’s total 4 restaurants Italian, taco stand is outside. Buffet and Japanese inside. There’s waterpark approx 20 min away. Your approx 20-30 min away from PV airport. U can Uber or take taxi everywhere. Elevator were broken when we were there. Walking up 6 floor in humid hot isn’t fun with kids. Staff does knock on door couple times day asking proving cookies, chocolate etc. overall nice resort, relaxing, quiet not party atmosphere.
Excellent!
We had good time, enjoyed staying at the hotel, great service, nice hotel.
I had a great experiance. This was my first all inclusive trip and it exceeded my expectations. My only complaint was that I brought my parents with me who are locals. I felt the difference in service as they werent offered the tour or were greeted in a friendly way. The valat staff immediately requested tips. Other then those odd looks towards my parents the experiance was great.
Front desk service is terrible. Extremely slow
Been to many resorts in Mexico by far this resort felt more like going to a time share . Every morning they have people walking around with guest on the property trying to sell time share. At their restaurant the waiter might come up to you and say your room has been chosen for a free upgrade for a lobster dinner or a free bottle of wine and then you find out they have charged $450 US dollars just for the lobster and $150 US For the wine your room account. Very sketchy the way they try to upsell you even at the restaurant when you already have all inclusive. They will try to make you pay extra at check out. While I was at check out every single person that came up the had extra change on their account that wasn’t approved ! Honestly it was horrible the way they try to get you to spend extra money . On the positive side the food was great. Did only have 3 real restaurant and a taco bar . The room was nothing special at all they sure make it sound amazing on line and in the pictures. While we were there for 7 days they were only able to have a show one day since the other 5 days it rained in the evening but this resort didn’t have a back up plan to have the show inside. Most of the employees don’t speck English at all and I feel like that might be some of the issues with them trying to sell stuff on top of your all inclusive! Don’t fall for it if they tell you “it will cost you nothing “ over all guys go to a different resort
You are provided a $350 credit to spend on additional services of your choice. When the stay is done they charge you a service fee for the same amount. There is no prior warning from front desk or restaurants. It is not mentioned anywhere on the paperwork. It says additional service fee for spa and wine. Nowhere does it mention food. I vacationed with 2 additional families and we ended up paying over 1000 pesos in fees for using our “free” credits. Extremely disheartening.
food weren't that good. Always a long waiting time for dinner. Not enough staff around.
some tower does not have elevator, very difficult to walk up 6 flights of stairs. Shortage of staff, always a long kine waiting for service.
I have been to many resorts in PVR and this was my worst experience. I’ll start with check in, it is unbelievably slow and annoying process to check in, the staff is super slow. It took one hour 25 minutes to just check in. The room was not clean, we found make up stains all over our bed and called the room service to come and change and they would convince us that they do room cleanup only every 3 days. With difficulty we were able to have the bed sheets changed which was ridiculous. We got the all inclusive package, 2 rooms and both rooms had no snacks and no beverages in the fridge. We called several times and asked for beverages and for two days they didn’t fill up unless we randomly saw the worker with a cart and asked them to provide us the drinks. During the night times expect to hear loud noises of cart wheels from all over the corridor. The staff moves their carts and makes loud noise which woke us up several times. Another issue was noise disturbance from our neighbors and the way the resort handled was terrible. Our Neighbours had loud music and were singing and screaming until 12:30am, I had to call multiple times and physically go to the lobby and ask them to intervene. Lastly my whole family got sick from the food, kids got food poisoning, stomach pain, and were vomiting for the last 3 days. Had to go to urgent care today after coming back to US. The list goes on but characters of the review is limited. In short I do not recommend this resort.
Poor staff, rude. Checkin was horrible, no elevator gave us a room on 6ht floor without elevator and never inform us. Everytime we dine in one of the restaurant we had to wait 1.5hrs to 2hrs. The italian restaurant always closes becuase of the rain, they should have put the restaurant inside and not outside. Staffs were rude, customer service was poor.
Front desk staff are very slow….. Building #2 had no elevator at all and they’ve gave my mom a room at 6th floor (she is 86 years old) !!! Have to talked to the manager and got her a room on the first floor after an hour :-((
We were very doubtful about the food there but the service and food were above our expectations. Jorge who worked on the beach serving food and drinks was amazing. He anticipates your drinks, brought water right away. There was a day that there weren’t any umbrellas for the chairs available and he had them come bring three of them for our group of 7 people. Customer service was excellent all around but Jorge stood out with us and other people vacationing as well.
The property’s great. The staff were very attentive. We loved it. The only thing that was unpleasant was the drawers below the tv in our room. They smelled like rotten fish. We couldn’t use them. We informed housekeeping but it wasn’t anything they could fix. Needless to say, we kept it firmly shut during our stay. During the first day, we had to ask housekeeping to re-mop the floors. They were dirty. We also didn’t have conditioner in the dispenser. They did eventually handle those two issues. It was a pleasant experience.
Property was excellent. Loungers around the pool were a challenge with lots reserved but not being used. We had a $350 room credit and we were not told it could not be used for tips. Overall excellent property though
Elevators not working
Worst experience in a loooong time Restaurants ran out of food Room was available until 6 pm No elevator to rooms Remodeling of restaurant during meals Loud and unseeming Not what we had experienced in the past in this same hotel Will not go back
Great facilities, excellent service and food.
The pool and beach access was pretty good but tainted by we thought we booked ocean view. When we spoke to the front desk they said they could put us in a ocean view on the 7th floor but the elevator was broken. We would need to walk 7 floors every time we left or returned to our room. Was a huge disappointment.
Terrible service
We were put on 6th floor with no elevator. When requested, they said there is no elevator in that building and other buildings do not have any rooms available. This is not something any family with kids and elders would expect. We climbed 6 floors multiple times in a day which caused our elders some back pain and other issues. This is a terrible service by resort and there was no sorry or regret from the front desk.
Staff was helpful and friendly
There was only 1 breakfast place for the entire resort to attend to.
Food service was very slow, especially during dinner. Elevator did not work and when I asked when it was going to be fixed they stated it was going to take four months. Our room was in the seventh floor, we asked to be moved and we were only moved down to the fifth floor. Not a horrible place, but I would not stay there again.
Their wifi does not work. Little entertainment, no music playing or very low by pool area. Food was good but no buffet except breakfast. No reservations needed you have to wait if they are full.
No DECAF coffee in Restaurant. We were told snacks in our room would be restocked but never were. But everyone was very friendly and nice
Had a great time with the family, the place we had was spacious and had many amenities. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact the elevator during the time we stayed.
Customer service people were not very helpful and always had attitudes. Nothing many places to eat by the time you get to dinner everything’s already booked However the Servers were really nice.
Property is beautiful, and staff great, the cleaning is on point they clean the rooms twice the rooms are nice and cool, great place to bring your kids, my only complaint would be that they only have one buffet in the morning open and it gets pretty crowded, for dinner also it gets crowded in the restaurants, when you arrive they tell you, you have credit of 300 dollars in the resort to use be careful they will charge the service fee separately when you check out!
The best
The staff were AMAZING during our stay. Any issues we brought up were quickly handled and they always followed up to be sure we were well taken care of. We would definitely stay at this resort again, and we would recommend it to anyone. We had the all-inclusive package, and it was worth doing it that way if you eat a lot and/or drink a lot. One suggestion would be to make it even MORE clear what is and isn't covered in the "all-inclusive" portion.
This is great family oriented property. It’s very safe and quiet. Although there are only four restaurants for all inclusive they are all decent and you don’t have to worry about reservations. The reception desk does take a little long. I would come back .
Amazing resort and amazing customer service
Our family had a great time. Will come back for sure! Highly recommended!
I have not been to PV before but have been to Cancun a number of times. This resort was mediocre at best. Only a couple of pool side waiters were on their game after we tipped largely. Hidden costs. All inclusive and added charges for meals that they couldn’t explain
I like the hotel and customer service but the problem was the restaurant. They don’t have buffet for lunch or dinner so there was always a line to get a table. They only have buffet for breakfast but still have to wait for a table because the location was not big enough.
Overall nice place! Kids friendly and great attention in the areas! But check in/out and waiting time for restaurants above the standard time!. I would recommend this place for future
The cleanliness of the facility, and the attention of the staff was awesome. The restaurants are limited sitting therefore every night we want it to eat dinner the wait time was up to 1 hour. They don’t take reservations, so you have to hop from one restaurant to another hoping to find a of the restaurants that had less waiting time.
Buen lugar, solo el checkin y checkout tuvieron dificultad.
No buffets available other than breakfast! Resort goes quiet at 9pm. Hardly no entertainment, and music plays real low.
The resort does not have buffets set up for lunch nor dinner! They are a la carte, and it was annoying that we had all inclusive and had to provide our room numbers when we got to restaurants, and still had to wait after to sign a tab?! The bar area in the lobby is super tiny. There is no real fun hangout after a late dinner. The resort goes quiet after 9pm. The resort chose to upgrade us rooms, and we did have a huge suite to use with snacks and drinks, however they realized they made a mistake I guess, and entered our room without our permission to take the snacks back, while we were at dinner!! Other than that all the staff were nice and made us feel welcomed! They do have construction going on right now, by the pool, and got super loud during the day. There is hardly any entertainment and music plays super low by the pool! They could definitely use another pool, and buffets set up other than just breakfast.
.
Everyone was great at this resort Miguel at the pool tico at the restaurant by the beach the only thing checking in took a little bit too long but the lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful I wish I remember her name so I could mention her too
The suite was awesome, and some of the staff were great. However, on our second day we asked for bottled water because we have gotten sick in Mexico before. We were told no at two different bars even though the water bottles were right in front of the worker… the reason, the bar isn’t open yet. Then we went to the front desk… go see the bellman, so we did… the guy walked away and threw his arms up in the air. We went back to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager, the answer… there is no manager available, she will call you later… guess what? No call! There was honestly more times we heard the word no than we have ever dealt with at an all inclusive. And when we got back, my entire family got sick for four days post trip, I’m not sure if it was the food or ice or what. Avoid this place at all costs, unless of course you enjoy poor service….BTW. I don’t really care what response the hotel management will give about how they are sorry they didn’t live up their high standards, blah, blah, blah. You had your chance when we were there and failed miserably.
I paided for an expensive vacation package for all inclusive. When I arrived took forever to check in and they were not busy. My fridge was not stock with drinks or snacks. I called room service to notify them, they ignored my request. I met a really nice couple and they gave us their left over drinks and snacks. The pool, I noticed the pool guy ignored me when I wanted to order food or beverages but cater to the people to the left and right of me. My bathroom was not stock with shampoo, the shampoo bottle was empty. I have few more items that I noted down but this trip made me disappointed.
Elevator did work my room was in the 4 floor and every day I went up and down stairs
This is a great family friendly resort. We had a nice family vacation. The rooms are clean, comfy beds and have a great balcony with an ocean view. Great servers, right on the beach! The Italian restaurant was our favorite! Cons… broken elevator made it challenging to get to our rooms. Not enough restaurants for the people. The Japanese restaurant was terrible!! Avoid it! Only one option for breakfast which is a Buffett. The tour guides are actually sales reps for tone shares! It’s more of a 3.5 start location
10/10
Regee, Conrad and Martin are the reasons to go back!! They are amazing people and i was blessed to have met them all!
Great food and staff
The service at the spa was excellent. Everything was good.
Your hotel it's very beautiful, comfortable, clean, with plenty of rooms. Our house keeper was very tentative and polite, she made our stay enjoyable relaxing. My wife and I really liked the live performers at night. The musicians were just phenomenal, they reminded us of our rich Mexican culture that we don't get to see in our current home. Love it! What we thought that needs attention is that checking in and out takes a little too long, due to short staff in reception. Specially at checking in, guests who have troubled a long way is the last thing they want to deal with. People want to relax as much as possible, we all just want to either get in our rooms or relax by the pool. Another thing that we didn't like was that on one particular night, apparently all the restaurants were full and weren't allowing more people in. Until some of the guests would clear up some room. I paid for the all inclusive package, so we shouldn't have gone to bed without having dinner that night. Thanks!
The resort was very family friendly. We traveled with our 3 kids, ages 8, 6, & 3. The pool was perfect for the kids. Eating options were great. We will definitely look to book here again.
Loved that it was all inclusive. The one thing we didn't like, or know is that it is a time share/membership property and we got somewhat forced into their presentation. We told them no at least 4 times. That was the only downside to the resort.
The resort is nice with an enormous pool and all ocean view rooms. Beach is nice. Location is far away from any activities outside the resort. So plan on a lot of taxi time if you are adventurous. I should have researched that better before booking. Service was good, but not quite excellent.
Overall very pleased witb everything. The only thing i suggest is for them to offer a more variety of food options
It was OK. Very far from popular places. Food need more improvement

Good restaurants, clean, friendly staff
