Not as advertised. We immediately left and found another hotel.
Sketchy looking. Pool was freezing
This property was a nightmare. We arrived and were told the pool was colder than normal and that was an understatement. We should have been told earlier as this was something our daughter was looking forward to. Didn’t know the hotel was a smoking hotel so walking to try and find our room our daughter reacted to the smell and we had to change rooms. Upon getting back to the new room that night, room was still freezing so at 1:00 am we called the desk to ask if heat was an issue and were told to turn the heat the opposite way. Finally, at 1:30 we had enough (shouldn’t have to sleep fully dressed in a hotel you are paying $140 a night for) and checked out to leave. The staff was amazing, so this is nothing reflected at them. They were helpful, friendly and sympathetic. Owners should ensure their standards are much higher, especially if they are under the umbrella of Wyndham Rewards.
This hotel is close the bowling alley. The beds were comfy. The best bonus was having a door right outside to our car! How handy!
Navigating around the hotel can be a maze and easy to get lost, slides are only ran after 5 or 6pm otherwise they wont start them up. When i tried asking they were having trouble with the pool...
Smells like smoke. Ran down. Front desk staff are rude.
N/A
Pool had lots of mold around the windows and the halls smelled like cigarette smoke but the staff were amazing, breakfast was good and the pool was fun. We had a good time.
Easy
The reason I come here every month is because it’s just so easy. Everything is under one roof. The staff is friendly and it seems they have all the bases covered. Easy.
.
Nice bars and restaurants on the property. The pool and fun of the water slides was a great surprise. Nice and clean and in -29 degree weather it was nice to not have to leave the building for breakfast (complimentary) and evening meals (two restaurants).
Be ready to walk to your room. They have different towers, make sure you ask how to get to your room. Pool was great and room was good. Hallways smelled of cigarette smoke
I like the pub
I stay here for work every month. I like it because the folks are nice and they have everything under one roof. Good food in the pub.
The pool was extremely cold and they did not tell us that on check in. The pool was actually broken. We would not have stayed here if we knew that. So the kids swam in a cold pool for about 5 minutes before just spending time in the hot pool. Disappointing.
King bed was nice, but the room smelled of chlorine. Our view was the pool/waterslide, which was loud at times. Hotel attendants were helpful and breakfast was good. The pub attached to the hotel was the highlight.
Staff were great and friendly
Great staff and location
The staff in the kitchen was very rude and impolite. I would stay at that hotel again if someone paid me. The elevator broke and we got stuck on the 2nd floor. The people in the front desk were nice.
Front desk was so nice. Hotel room smelled like hangover
It was nice, smoking rooms
Not the best experience
My keyboard didn't work most of the time had to get it activated multiple times and I never have it by my phone. The hallway fire door got jammed. Could not open either way major sadly Hazzard. The hotel smelt like cigerates and the pool water was gross the hot tub was dirty and not hot. Breakfast hash browns tasted stale and a day old. Didn't receive ebkuch breakfast coupons had to go back each day to get more. Checking in took way too long. There was a major line up and the check in ladies wasted alot of time joking around with each other and chatting instead of getting thru the line quickly. The one who checked me in couldn't get my name right once and told me I booked with a master card. I don't own a MasterCard so that was not correct.
Inconvenient and outdated.
We got booked in a smoking room by mistake, didn’t know those even existed anymore. Pool was freezing cold, our kids were shivering and didn’t even bother with the water slides. Had to walk a long way to even get to our room. Parking lot was not maintained and was very icy and slippery. For a hotel that big, that was fairly booked up, the area with the complimentary breakfast was small and couldn’t keep up with the demand so we opted to go to Tim Hortons instead. The room was outdated and the carpet was dirty and stained. The bathtub had chips out of the porcelain.
Old, run down, had a weird smell. Lights flickered in the bathroom, drains backed up in sink and bath tub. Not much hot water. Staff were very friendly and helpful though.
Old,dated,dirty,grubby,smokey,bed bugs-never again
1 person working reception and area full. 20+ people in front of us in line. So slow! Cheerful staff trying to make light of the wait. Requests to be close to friends ignored and was told we are full, you get what you get. Talk of bedbugs and a hockey team being moved because of this is not a great first impression.
We will not stay here again
Can’t check in because all seats taken, went to restaurant for 2 hours, but still too late
Even during a seemingly large event crowd, it was fairly quiet for a one-night long-distance drive. Very comfortable
Would not recommend! There was two elevators and one was completely out of service and the other should have been as we got stuck 3 times in it and unfortunately we weren’t the only ones. The worst part about it is when we finally got out of the stuck elevator, all the stairways were locked and you couldn’t get to any of the floors except for the main floor. Our room was fine but upon walking in the heat was on full blast and it must have been about 30 degrees in the room. Even after figuring out how to turn it off it took quite some time to cool down. Unfortunately the quite some time was about 8 AM the next day so needless to say was not a good sleep.
Breakfast staff were extra when we were there with their coupons and wouldn't let us even take a coffee to go. Rooms were fine, cleaned each day. Rooms can be hard to find the first time but you get use to it.
Convenient
One star
Rooms were visibly dirty, smelt awful!! Breakfast was minimal and sat there all morning!
Had noisey guest and the room was too hot and the shower was horrible as hardly any water come out of the shower head also the continental breakfast wasnt the greatest...
Travel lodge
It was ok nothing really to complain about.
Nice clean and friendly staff. My family and I will definitely be back.
At check in the staff was having trouble with check in due to being booked through Expedia instead of directly through the hotel, so it took along time just to get a room. They where extremely kind and apologetic about it though. Only 1 slide at the pool was working but the other one was still fun and the hot tub was nice. The pool area was kind of dirty, the floors and corners of the area looked like they were in need of a good scrub. The tv in our room was also not working properly
I didn’t stay here because they called me the day of my stay and told me the pool was down. That is excellent costumer service that I didn’t expect and have to give them 5 stars and say thank you.
Older hotel but in good condition
Picked this hotel because it had a pool but it was closed and the tub drain was leaking bad enough it made having a bath very difficult
Middle of the road kind.
Since this guy took over from his dad this property has become a dump
The staff and front desk were great, however there are som e issues that could be addressed. On the first day we found the shower head to be damaged and not working properly. Maintenance could not fix it at the time so we were moved to another room which was ok but I question the cleaning staffs ability as there was a bottle of cleaning solution left on the toilet seat as well as a used bar of soap and shampoo in the tub from other tenant. That night the adjoining room was very noisy. My wife asked them politely to keep it quiet to which they complied for a bit.At around1:30 am we were woken to the sound of someone yelling for his buddy to let him in the room plus banging on the door and cursing. Again we got in touch with the front desk and they assured us that they would be evicted.Soon after the commotion started again this time with verbal threats to my wife which included rape, physical violence and discriminatory remarks. This time the police got involved and removed the noise maker but left the other guy in the room.Again we were moved to another room the next morning where we finished our stay.I feel sorry for the staff that need to address these problems and again I don't hold them responsible but this sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable. It will definitely be a factor as to whether we will ever stay at a Wyndham facility again. This company needs to do some re-evaluation on their methods and procedures quickly. A concerned traveller.
Love the staff and the customer service. Loved our room with both indoor and outdoor access. Tub area requires work and new caulking. Pool was down for the 3 days we were there But we’re made aware prior to arrival. Very accommodating with our late arrival. We will definitely book there again.
Walls are paper thin, could hear everything happening in neighboring room. Noisy neighbours kept us up all night. Floors in room were dirty. Mattress on bed was warped from overuse A/C unit was set to auto, needed ability to turn on for white noise.
Convenient on the ground floor with the pet.
It was very welcoming
The hallways and elevator smelled of smoke and urine. The front desk associate appeared to be high and had difficulty collecting their thoughts. The room was dirty and bedding had blood stains on it.
When I arrived to check in, I was given a room. 3rd floor at the very end. I took all my stuff up. Once I was there, I could hear a tv on inside and there was a do not disturb sign on door for shift work. I did not want to walk in on someone, so I took all my stuff and went back downstairs to the lobby. I told the person working and she said she would go check. She left and came back and said that I was good to go back, and no one was there. So, I took all my stuff back up and the sign was still there and could still hear noises. So, I decided to knock first. A guy opened the door in his underwear and was very angry that I disturbed him. I apologized and took all my stuff all the way back down the lobby. Ask the girl at check in if she even went to check. It was apparent that she did not actually go check. She gave me another room. That room was missing the microwave, and the air conditioner was broken so it was extremely warm. I had to AGAIN go back to the lobby. She then moved me again to another room. It was not the same as what I booked online. I was supposed to have a couch, and I didn't. I was there for work and wanted to have a space to relax after work and watch tv. I was not moving rooms again. My key stopped working the next day. Then rooms are old and outdated unlike the pictures online. They were clean at least.
My family found this hotel to be “scetchy”. The pictures make the hotel look way better then it was. The hallways reeked of smoke stench and weed:/ our phone rang twice between 5:45am and 6am waking us all up. The breakfast was good but the food was only lukewarm and we were there quiet early. The area isn’t the best, nore the walk all the way to the rooms. Would not recommend to others.
The only thing i didn't like was how far we had to walk to our room, which was the very last room. Otherwise it was okay
Great stay
Okay property. Booked for the kids for the water slides.
The building is starting to show a bit of age-- as you can see in the hallways BUT the rooms were very clean, good mattresses--comfortable, AC worked great, would recommend to a friend
Nice place
Low standards
The toilet didn’t flush. It was broken. The room smelled stale and was moist. You could hear the neighbor breathing and coughing as if he were behind a curtain. No ice machine or water bottles. There was a huge rattling on the window you couldn’t sleep.
Don’t stay if you’re sensitive to smells
Wasn’t a bad place to stay, if it wasn’t for the stench of cigarettes in the hallways. Food was good at the steakhouse for being in a hurry . But the smell was something to get used to. Also , our room was pool view and had the overwhelming scent of chlorine, so we no longer had to worry about the smell of Nicotine. You asked. Thanks.
Cleaniness
My occupation is a housekeeper so I know how important it is to have a clean hotel, clean pool, and a clean room especially to make your guests feel confortable. However there was a couple of things that I noticed that needed a little more cleaning to be done. The sheets had stains on them including the towels; one of them had some kind of pink candy stuck to it.
Weekend getaway and shopping
It was decent.
The staff were nice and the room was in good condition and clean. The problem was that we were on the 3rd floor of the west wing ( older motel side ) and the elevator up to the 3rd floor was half way through the 1st floor which is a smoking floor. Every time I walked through I got stuffed up so I decided to use the stairs on the very west end but as soon as I got into the staircase the smoke was in the staircase. When we got into our room for the 1st time it smelled like someone spilled a gallon of perfume. Thank goodness there was an opening window that we kept open the whole time which really helped. Maybe the tower (hotel side, off the lobby) would be a better side to stay. I would phone and ask first if that section allows smoking. The pool was closed for the duration of our stay.
Would never stay here again. Don’t recommend.
Pool was closed the whole stay. Kept being told it will open in the morning and never did. Found two sewing needles in the carpet. Front desk staff unprofessional and swearing a lot. Smelt like cigarettesSink seemed to be clogged and draining very slow. Crumbs on the coffee table and pieces of food on the floor. Stains on the bed sheets.
Mediocre at best
Not great. Rooms are updated but wasn’t very clean. Hair in bed, on floor in bathroom, on the walls, on the toilet and in the bathtub.
Needed to update my key card twice When you have to do that after your 10 to12 hours working days it’s a bit irritating
The hallway and the room makes me feel claustrophobic. Old wallpaper peeling, window was fixed with tape…
It will do
Its an old hotel reminded me of hotels when I was a kid. Smelled like cigarette smoke. Room was large, beds where comfy. Room was clean just old and dated. Breakfast was ok they give you tickets to give the lady in the breakfast room she was good took her job very seriously. Pool was ok I didnt go in. My kids said the waterslide was fun. All in ok hotel.
We didn't have a shower curtain and the AC was dripping on to the carpet all night so i had to put the garbage under it to stop the dripping sound...
The place is old, no question, but the staff appear engaged in doing what they can to keep the place as nice as possible. We booked the room knowing full well the limitations of such a place, so cannot unfairly criticize a place for it. The waterslide & pool were fun as relief from the hot weather. The breakfast was adequate. We will stay again.
Good!
Breakfast was okay at best. One of two water slides working. Kids would have loved to have the bigger slide in action. But very roomy room. Older but cute. Overall good stay
Repeated customer
The hotel is pretty run down. The restaurant has terrible reviews on Google, so we didn’t even try it. One slide is broken at the hotel pool and no safety equipment to stop people from using it.
I never looked at the property..I don't care
Friendly
Room faced the main road but was surprisingly quiet. Everyone was very friendly, from the front desk staff to the restaurant and breakfast room. We will definitely stay again.
Sheets were stained, bathroom sink was clogged.
I try not to stay here while in Lloyd but this last experience will seal that deal with that decision , they seem to make up rules that are convenient for them at the time , I had stayed here before had no issues but this time will be the last time I stay here
Excellent breakfast. Other amenities next door.
The hotel was nice and some updates have been done. The pool area had mould/mildew growing and we didn’t feel comfortable to swim. There were severely intoxicated patrons outside when we went for dinner that evening and we had to avoid them for quite some time, as it didn’t feel safe. Close to the highway and convenient for what we needed for the evening. The continental breakfast was wonderful.
The room was okay. The fan is noisy and getting hot in lowest setting. Something is off in air conditioning and fan setting. The fridge took overnight to get working and it’s freezing. Requested drinking water bottles and not provided one, normally two bottles is provided.
The staff were phenomenal! The front desk ladies were amazing and super helpful. There was always someone about cleaning. 3 minor things about the hotel: my rooms shower head was a dribble so it was hard to wash long hair. It had an adjustable head but your options were pressure wash or dribble. I think the head just needs a good cleaning. The curtains in the room didn’t completely cover the windows so the room was never dark. And the area around the hot tub had ripped up grout. The hot tub was only ever warm and the jets didn’t really work. The breakfast included was great! Loved the pancake machine. Even when the room was empty it was cramped with the lay out of the tables. Every staff member I met was super polite and helpful. The room keys are super sensitive. They had to be replaced multiple times. It can’t be anywhere near electronics or it won’t work and even stopped working even if it wasn’t near electronics. The room was clean and we were never disturbed by other guests even though it was quite busy. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were very thick. When booking it didn’t list anything past a basic room. When we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised that it had a larger mini fridge , microwave and coffee maker. This made the trip so much easier. It’s a great location super close to everything we did and needed. I don’t think we drove more then 7 minutes to get to anything. But I can’t stress enough how wonderful the front desk staff were.
This property is need of a major renovation as it has a major musty smell, the ceilings looked wet and stained.
very nice , lady at front desk very very friendly & helpful , loved the pool & slide. Excellent tasting good chef of food in restaurant,
It was ok staff were friendly
Everyone was super nice, had everything we needed. Kids loved the pool and slides. Walking through the smoking hallway to get to our room was really nauseating though, thought the days of smoking rooms were long gone. No offence to people that smoke, was just surprising.
Everything was fine except maybe the smoke smell on the 1st floor.
This property does not have extra plates or cutlery for leftover food. There is a kitchen and dining area, and they will not give out plates or anything for people to use. There are rules listed everywhere! no taking food to your room from the breakfast. Must hand in a vouchers to have the breakfast! Seriously, who is going to steal breakfast of powdered eggs at 6 in the morning? No One! The place smells of cigarette smoke the carpets are just gross!!I don't care if the bedding is new and the lobby is new and updated, it's like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig! well this place is still gross!
Pictures on line were not like what I found. Building horrible smelll. I had to go home and launder everything Restaurant advertised in ad. Not open. Hot tub advertised. Not open. Sauna. Not open. Unable to access any TV even after reaching out to 2 different staff members. Very. Unenjoyable stay. Will not return. This place should not be associated with Wyndham. Brings the name down horribly
Pool and hot tub were gross and half the time closed, hotel was noisey. I will never stay at this hotel again and recommend no one else does until they do a face lift to rooms and pool area.
Staff was nicr
We checked in. Took about 30 Mins as there was only one person there. Whole first floor STINKS of cigarette smoke and WEED!!! Got to room. But it belonged to someone else. Was shocked. The room was rented out to someone else. All their belongings were in the room. My 13 year old panicked as would they give our room key to the next person checking in. Finally, get settled in room. No Hot Water! Seriously, No Hot water. Then people partying in parking lot. Went to front desk again and another person came back as their room wasn’t cleaned from last guest! Rented to them with beds unmade. WOW!!! Nasty Hotel!!! Don’t believe pictures. As I said weed and cigarette smoke greets everyone while walking to room and the whole rest of the adventure was a total disaster. Never would I recommend this place!!! I should get a full refund
I would rather sleep in my car than ever stay here again. The service is terrible, our room smelt like sewer, it was a maze to even get to your room, our remote did not work front desk did nothing to help just said oh well, there was zero hot water to shower, the pool was disgusting was foaming and the hot tub was warm and grey. When you call front desk to get more supplies they say you have to go to front desk to get it.
The stay was good, the house keeping and front desk was really good. The breakfast was disappointing, the lady that was working was rude and just straight up not nice. They had ran out of food and there were still a lot of people, her response was nope they are good. The younger lady working did go get more food, but the one lady was not happy about it. Then A family showed up a couple minutes before it closed with 3 little kids and she told them it was closed. Her customer service skills were terrible and she in my opinion shouldn’t have a job as I heard lots of complaints about her. Rooms were clean, but we never had hot water in our showers, warm but not hot. The pool was fun for the kids.
Hahaha.. to start off we were given the wrong key, someone was already in our room. We were located near the elevator, while a hockey tournament was underway. Numerous knocks on the doors and running away. And late night drama in the parking lot until 3am made for a very sleepless night.
No towels available at pool. Even when we asked, they said 20 minutes so we waited 40 minutes. Still no towels. Went back to our room, wet, no towels only to have our card key not work. Had to go back to the front desk, wet & cold. Saw other guests in the hallway also having troubles with their card keys. Got key re-coded but no real reason as to why no towels.
Nice place to stop and stay during our trip! Comfortable and relaxing!
Would have been better if the gym machine wasn’t broken
Decent stay
Terrible hot tub
Confusing place
The tile at the pool was really slippery! The breakfast room was too small for the amount of people that was there!
The property was dated. There was a broken table leg in our room. Walls were thin and you could hear people's conversations or laughing easily. Elevators were very very slow and buttons wouldn't light up when you pressed them, so you weren't sure if it registered the button press. Pool looked like it would be very fun, but was very crowded, no towels and the chorine was so strong that it burned your eyes in a very short period of time.

Was good for the price. First room was freezing but they were very accommodating and moved us to the west wing in an upgraded king suite. First floor smelt like smoke when walking to the pool. Guess that’s what happens when you still have smoking rooms. Kids loved the pool minus it being freezing cold. First room has wet carpet near the bathroom door assuming from something dripping from the room. Room faced the main road and was a bit loud from traffic but not terrible.
