Elevator? Broken. Breakfast? "we're not offering breakfast currently". TV? Half working. Just avoid this place. Slummy hotel at a normal hotel price.

"Queen" bed was more like a double. Worst sleep of the year, hands down.

We had no hot water in our room.

My room did not have pillows. I went to ask at reception and they only had one. The door could not be closed completely because the lock was broken.

Needs remodeling and better ventilation to rid of smell

The entire room was very clean. The bed was creaky and not super comfortable but not too bad either. The pillows were flat and we asked for more several times but they ran out. We were told housekeeping would come by every other day so we had our dirty towels ready to exchange for clean ones and I pulled my own trash and they never came by. I called the front desk to ask them to bring some fresh towels and they still didn’t come so my husband asked one of the housekeepers while she was cleaning next door. The breakfast was okay. Coffee was great and my kid enjoyed the chocolate milk and yogurt.

It was okay. It’s outdated but okay for proximity to our event.

Dog fee

I have stayed at this same hotel multiple times. The first thing that happened was an undisclosed $200.00 pet fee that we have never had to pay that high before. Only 1 wash rag in the BR. House keeper understood NO English. Room smelled like cat piss and I had dogs. Grass was not mowed so it was difficult to get my dogs in it. The breakfast was good.

Overall hotel is good but it’s been two separate visits in which I’ve had to ask for towels daily. Rooms are not cleaned during the stay. When asked, staff shared that they don’t have enough towels. I love the room but the hotel needs some work. I visit Houston a few times a year and will stay elsewhere next time.

I stayed over Thanksgiving Eve and the staff was great! The room was nicer and bigger then I expected. Completely enjoyed my stay.

The staff at TownePlace are the best. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is always very good. We have stayed here a few different times and they have never felled to impress me with their friendliness and helpfulness.

Great hotel, great location, great staff. We had the two bedroom suite with kitchenette. Felt like home. Slept five comfortably. (Two adults, three kids)

Excellent service and great breakfast. The elevator was broken off and on through our short stay, but other the. That it was a great stay.

Substandard exterior. Felt more like Section 8 employee housing than a hotel. Room was ok. Pretty clean. Didn't really deal with staff. I wouldn't run from this place. I just don't think I'd stay here again. I'll drop the extra $60 on a nicer location next time.

Broken bed, Puddles and Mud. Shower leaking

Very Disappointed. Stayed in the 2 room suite with my family and woke up sore both nights. Finally looked under the bed and it was broken but looked like it was somewhat repaired with just tape. Sprinklers were always on or just broken so puddles and mud were in front of the door to get in and out. Could not enter any other way. I have small kids so it was difficult to maneuver without stepping in a puddle or in mud. Dishwasher did not work. The shower leaked. The lady in the front was always nice and did provide great service but nothing she could of done about the above issues.

Exceptionally clean, friendly staff

The team at the front desk are very helpful and responsive. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely come back whenever we visit Houston.

Be careful

Power went out, beyond hotels control due to storm coming through. No electricity for 15 hours. We were booked there for 5 nights, night 2 we checked out cause of electricity issues and fire alarms going off at 1am. Asked the manager to refund last 3 days, says she would and still have t been refunded yet. Not in the best neighborhood, they’re cutting catalytic converters off cars. Just a bad area.

Cleanliness was my top priority. Was assigned to another suite,since toilet tank was leaking

The staff was great. From reception to the breakfast hostess everyone was very friendly!! The room was good, clean and comfortable. The location was close to all the restaurants for the event I was attending in Memorial Springs. The rate was better than most, especially for the accommodations provided!! Had a good stay and would stay there again for events in that area.

The room they gave me was HORRIBLE and smelled like pet urine, and it had fleas, My clothes smell just like pet urine, and I have a numerous of bite marks on me from fleas in the room! I complained about it and nothing was done!

The stay was very good. The only thing we didn’t like were the pillows. They were way to squishy with no neck support. Should invest in the “My Pillow” for better neck support & overall sleep quality.

Good and Comfortable Room

The check-in was a little confusing as I made one reservation but booked two rooms. The attendant mentioned only having one room for the reservation. I thought the one reservation would cover checking in once. I had to provide my Father-In-Laws name and then they confirmed the reservation for the second room. Despite that, the room was good, clean, and comfortable. The tv did go in an endless programming spin in the middle of watching a sitcom. The next morning, the tv was good again. I didn't notice eggs for breakfast compared to 2 years ago (last visit). I would stay there again, I like the location.

Noisy people

The bathrooms need updating. The hallways have not been heated since I have been here. The free breakfast does not offer a lot of choices, you will probably want to eat out every morning. It is in a nice area, the kitchen in the room is great.

For carrying the Marriott name, the property was lacking. The room had only one USB charging outlet, no vanity area in the bathroom, no ice machine in our building, the TV was on the fritz, knobs were rusted over. There’s a sofa sleeper but no extra pillows for that bed. The room was clean and AC worked well.

I received an email just hours before check-in stating that my room was unavailable and they didn't have another room to accommodate me.

WORST TOWNEPLACE I’VE EVER STAYED IN.

No hot water, hall floor was filthy. Overall experience was horrible. Will NOT recommend this place until they improve their facility. A total embarrassment to the MARRIOTT name!

So bad

Overall, we were very disappointed with the entire stay. First, we were not given the room that we paid for. We booked a two bedroom suite and when my husband and son checked in without us the first night, they were given a double bed and a couch bed. My husband had no idea with was incorrect because he doesn’t take care of admin items in our house, but he did question me as to how we would all fit into the room when we arrived. When the rest of us got there, they didn’t know where the disconnect happened upon check-in, but unfortunately no two bedroom suites were available because those rooms had a pipe leak, with no hot water, and wouldn’t be available until the last night we would stay. The lock on the door to the outside was broken so anyone could come into the building where we were staying, the elevator was broken, the stairway smelled like throw-up on the third floor. Overall, it was really bad. If we hadn’t paid in advance almost $600, non-refundable, we would have found another place. We will never return.

We booked a two bedroom suite. Room was okay. Room was at back of property adjacent to a shopping center. Lots of noise from the center. If you stay here, make sure not to get a room at the rear of property. This is an extended stay hotel. Basically an apartment complex. It meets those needs.

Location was great for visiting family and friends. Cars were vandalized in parking lot. Too many noisy guests. Left trash in hall every night.

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights when arrived only 1 room available. Luckily it was only 4 people and room had pull out sofa sleeper that was not very comfortable. Hotel couldn’t help first night because they were booked and hotel.com couldn’t help because hotel was booked glad we didn’t have a large family staying. Not sure how need to verify number of rooms but after arriving after midnight did not want to drive anymore.

Great staff and place to stay

The building entrances and sidewalks were very difficult to navigate with the luggage cart. The room doors are VERY heavy. You will need help! Did not have coffee supplies for the large coffee maker.

Not bad for the price

this hotel is okay. The bed was comfortable, it was very quiet and the room was large. Overall, it was clean but certain things need a deep cleaning, like light switches. Also, bring your own pack and play. The one they gave me was really old and dirty. I felt bad putting my kid in there even after I cleaned it. Not bad for the price but not the best.

When we arrived , apparently our double room type had been given out even though I reached at 3:15 pm and check in time was 3 pm. I was not happy about this but I give credit to the front desk staff who worked above and beyond and helped me to get two single rooms with a connected door. They also charged me for one room instead of two. Expedia would not refund the double room fee that I had paid , so the hotel credited me Marriott bonus points worth one night stay to compensate for that . This is very good customer service . Overall it was a decent place to stay with three kids . Good amount of room. Close to highway and amenities . Will stay again.

One of the nicest mid-priced hotels I’ve ever visited. Super friendly receptionist; quick check-in. Room was great: full kitchen, nice sofa and TV, useful desk area and comfortable bed. Even plenty of room for my bicycle. Would definitely stay here (or another TownePlace Suites) again. Very well maintained, clean and super convenient.

The suite was the perfect fit for my family of seven. Two rooms plus the pull out couch was great! There were also TV's in every location which helped keep the kids happy. Full kitchen and lots of space to be comfortable. We will definitely come back again.

The first night was horrible as the people up stairs were running across the floor most the nightcalled front desk at midnight, then again at 12:30am and she said they told her they had a little kid. (Sorry at that time the kid should have been in bed) it continued off an on until about ram, then it started back up at 6am nonstop... the lady working the front desk at that time was very nice and understanding and agreed.. come to find out the people have been staying there a few weeks already. So she moved us to a different room and have us bonus points on Marriott site.. so if you are planning on staying anytime soon just don't let them put you in room 102.. you won't get any sleep.. all the staff were very friendly.. I will definitely stay there again..also very clean and breakfast was great

This hotel was amazing! It was so clean and the staff was so friendly. Food was awesome! We have stayed in many a hotel from average to fancy and Townesuites has surpassed them all! Our three night stay was memorable as we felt at home! The rate was incredibly low for the type of room we had---2bdr. Keep on doing what you're doing Towneplace! We'll be looking for y'all in all our baseball travels!

We were very happy with the location and the layout of the room. Two bedrooms with one bath was perfect for our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the staff helpful and efficient. However, our room smelled musty, like the carpet needed a good cleaning.

The hotel was nice, clean, and great rates. The only problem was the air conditioner - it was really noisey. Otherwise, great stay.
