The experience was Amazing… we will be back to stay at this amazing hotel.
Great service
It was very relaxing
Finals high school basketball
To valet Park the cost was $60, which was outrageous!!! It was an excellent trip! The hotel offered everything I expected and more. I’ve stayed there on several occasions and I’ve always enjoyed going to the Westin in San Antonio.
Would choose a different hotel
Staff not overly helpful. No options to just buy snacks or drinks - the one small store closes early. The only restaurant was limited. Room service is overpriced and underwhelming.
Girls weekend trip
We stayed at the hotel recently to attend a concert with some friends. Overall a nice place and we enjoyed our stay. Pros: Beds were comfy, plenty of plugins around the room for charging devices and we loved the TV options (streaming apps). Bathroom was very nice though we really thought we'd have a tub. This was more disappointing seeing as the pool didn't have a hot tub. Restaurant food was OK though the variety was a bit limiting. I would prefer some smaller breakfast options. Cons: Ice machine on our floor (12) was out the entire time. Each time we went to the front desk we had to wait a long time. Our first night the guests next door were so loud we could easily hear every word of their conversations. This was going on until 4am.
My room was not properly cleaned. After checking in we entered the room and saw stained green velvet chair. The stain was from sex and body fluids rm 1033. I took a picture and showed the manager. She moved us to 1011 where we completed our stay. 1
All the staff is so nice and helpful! Ruby from the front desk made our stay smooth and comfortable!
The stay itself was great the front desk lady was beyond rude and treated my two friends and I like we had no business staying there. I usually love The Westins but the one on the riverwalk this was the first and last time I’ll stay there.
Good and comfortable bed
Beautiful quality stay
Smells delightful in the lobby rooms are clean and big
Lovely place, kind staff, good location
I liked you could watch the flowing river from the hotel. Very relaxing.
We enjoyed our stay!
Nice hotel. Excellent restaurant. Bedding and bed great!
Room was fantastic! The staff at the front desk was the most professional team I’ve ever encountered! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful property, terrible night's sleep.
The property was clean and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We chose a city- side room and regretted it because even on the 8th floor we could hear someone playing drums into the wee hours and engines revving loudly all night. We were also woken up both nights by a yelling guest in the hallway, which the staff attempted to help with. Valet parking was $60 per night and we were not told about the price or the availablity of self-parking ($35) until the second night.
Location is excellent. Property, facilities, rooms, etc, all clean and comfortable. Only things i would say needs improvement are some of the promises made on the website that are not available or are inaccurate. The pool might be technically "heated" but not really. Its not swimmable in cold weather or even a couple of days after cold weather. Also, there's no longer a westin kids club, contrary to what's posted online, there's nothing special for kids at check in. That being said the location can't be beat and the hotel is lovely. All the staff are also courteous and very quick to respond.
It was a great experience staying at The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio!
The staff is very professional and friendly. One day we left for the day late in the afternoon. We had already missed housekeeping so I requested service. Tania Rangel came by and left the room spotless.
Horrible noises in rooms near us during the night. Got absolutely no sleep.
Overall nice stay. Staff was superb. Parking is pricey but there are nearby options.
Westin’s are usually know for their customer service, but this Westin did not meet that expectation. We were there for our 25th anniversary, which we had notified them about. No welcome drink offered. We asked for earlier check in, was informed when we got there that room would be ready in about an hour, 2 hours later after some back and forth room ready. We had to ask 2 nights at 5:45pm if our room could be tidied up and fresh towels, to which the front desk literally told me that we must of had the “do not disturb “ sign up, which we NEVER use, when they checked their computer they could see our room wasn’t completed. I know this seems like small stuff, but I guess it was also the attitude of the front desk staff . Furniture in lobby worn, I feel like the place needs some tweaking, staff as well as decor. However all of this being said, location was great for walking everywhere
Loved the location and access to shopping and dining. My only complaint is the bathroom needs a cleaning. Dirty tile and lots of hair and dust on the floor.
Beds were super comfortable and rooms were clean. Definitely staying here again.
We love the Westin Riverwalk. It’s become an annual December holiday tradition. This year we also returned for NYE! It was awesome. Love the property. Love the people. Love the location! Splurge for a room overlooking the river walk, you won’t regret it!
Excelente
I’m giving them a poor review because the pool was not heated as advertised, elevators banged and were loud so we had to move rooms, ice machine and vending machine did not work on our floor. For what we paid did no feel it was a great experience.
I had called to ask the valet price and was told $45. When I arrived it was $69. But, public parking is across the street for $35.
Good hotel for the nigth
Really nice stay, right on the riverwalk with easy access. The breakfast was good, except the sausage links. Would stay again!
Property was really good. But unfortunately communication is poor. I was charged $75.00 twice and have struggled finding away to find out why. All phone numbers are automated.
Nice staff great hotel enjoyed the balcony
Great place and centrally located to everything.
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
Good; good location, mostly friendly helpful staff. Bad; hotel needs an update, uncomfortabel furniture, only 1 restuarant with very limited menu, medicore food. Ugly; I needed to call down to front desk every day to have my serviced, on one day they never serviced my room even after calling front desk.
Wonderful stay for our anniversary! Great staff, clean accommodations and convenient to many attractions.
A little far from the center of the river walk.
The hotel are close to the riverwalk!
The hotel was quiet, clean and conveniently located.
Beautiful view❤️

Todo excelente! Muy buena atención, buena comida en el restaurant, muy bien ubicado.
I think the beverage area should be monitored more for used cups lying around after use and the need to make sure clean cups are always available.
There is no parking without paying for Valet services or paying for parking in a structure that you have to walk to.
I booked the hotel for my mom and her husband. The hotel was very nice, however, the hotel restaurant did not have a good amount of vegetarian options. They were very disappointed by this and also surprised that a hotel of this caliber would not have a lot of options to accommodate a variety of dietary needs.
Nice place
Very nice property. Great view from our room. Clean, convenient, reasonable price. Staff helpful.
Great place needs little upkeap
My heater was broke but the fixed it quick. Balcony doors were heavy hard to open. Restraunt was slow. Broken cofee machine in the restaurant.
Great experience at this property. Centrally located and easy access to the Riverwalk, restaurants and shops. The room was very clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and ready to help if needed. Highly recommend this hotel.
Easy check in
Overall a 5 star experience. Great staff/facility
Hair dryer in my room was so dirty and old.
None
From the second of arrival, everybody was awesome and very helpful -- the guys at the door taking car of our car, Robin helping me checkin. There even an issue with my reservation but Robin took care of it and make sure we were in great shape! The stay was great, only thing I'll do different next time is get a suite on the river side :)
below expectations
The Westin River walk was perfect for our Christmas get-away. The location is on the quiet part of the River Walk and was not nearly as crowded as it could have been. even on Christmas Day a number of very good restaurants were open and the food at the ones we tried was very good. The front desk staff and the bellmen were friendly and extremely helpful.
Wonderful place for a quick weekend trip!
Very accommodating
Our room was not ready at check in time, so they comped us an extra room for three nights and we got two for the price of one. This allowed our two older children to stay in a room that adjoined ours and was ideal!
Hotel is in the quiet part of the riverwalk, close to everything but not crowded. Hotel is excellent and staff are really friendly. Parking garage is just across the street if you want to avoid the expensive valet parking.
Very helpful staff.
Great staff.
TV wasn't working and took over 3 hours to get it fixed.
It was excellent the bar was great
I like the spacious room, however it would be suggested to have more lighting in the bathroom, maybe a microwave to heat up leftovers.
Toilet seat loose, toilet was not clean thoroughly. Personnel was great. There was a confusion about reaervation for dining on the 31st. , and Manager of hotel and restaurant, were very interested in making it work for my family of 12, and they did. So very grateful!!! I will stay jere again.
Near in everything
This is our 2nd time coming to this hotel. We love it.
Dirty room
Everything was great as always
I really do not like giving bad reviews but this trip absolutely warrants it. From the initial check in, the front desk was snooty and pompous. She stands on the left side of the front desk as you are looking at it. Valet was absolutely amazing and up to Westin standards. The hotel was dirty, with dog pee inn the elevator constantly and not cleaned up, to the house keeoers not cleaning anything in your room and just straightening the bed. It was absolutely disgusting. The in hotel restaurant was very poor service and the food was 2 star at best. We ended up ordering pizza however the front desk would not let the delivery driver up to the room and made us come down to pick it up. The front desk did not care about the inconvenience and would rather just stand there talking to each other with an empty lobby. Absolutely not a “Westin” experience and we would discourage anyone from staying here. Garbage service, bad food and no one really cares. Dirty facilities the entire trip. Shame
Very nice hotel, very nice employees and helpful with any questions.
Liked everything
The wait for the room. We checked in about 3:30 they had to change us rooms because we waited over 2 hrs for the room.. we didn’t get to the new room till about 6 and had to rush to our dinner reservations.
Patty Thornburg was an amazing help putting together a small and very intimate wedding for our Daughter. Everything went perfectly and one young man, Lambo, was just a fantastic help to our entire celebration.. It was an outstanding event!!!
Very nice place!
Very nice people from the valet all the way the receptionist and room service. Very nice and pleasant people.
Great! Though there was no lotion in the bathroom .
We found dirty underwear in a drawer. I bagged them and delivered to the front desk. The receptionist accepted them with indifference.
Left on hold but great time
Loved my stay got left on hold seveal times. But otber than that loved my stay
Great location right on the Riverwalk. Plenty of dining and shopping options available. Nice hotel with friendly staff. I would stay here again!
Honestly, do not waste your time coming here. One, they are literally charging you for stuff you did not use. I got charged 8 dollars after i checked out, claiming i used the in room fiji water, which i laughed about when i first walked in bc who would pay that when walgreens/cvs is around the corner? This is how they make their money. So embarrassing for them, $8 wouldn't make or break a person, but it is stealing when you take money from people for services/goods you did not give them. The rooms are very very dated and gross, you smell the mold when you walk in. There is stains everywhere, chips in the ceiling. The balcony door keeps getting stuck. It is also on the end of the riverwalk so your view is nothing but the water, you dont really see any people/restaurants, etc. Will not be returning back, and I highly suggest you stay elsewhere where your money means something.
Balcony overlooking the river walk is nice.
Great experience
The Westin San Antonio is a beautiful hotel in a prime location, but the service left much to be desired, especially for the price. When we arrived, no one helped us with our six bags, no one opened the door, and no one greeted us. Instead, we were met with a long line of about ten people waiting to check in, and still, not a single staff member acknowledged us. The room and hotel itself were lovely, but the service was disappointing. Breakfast the next morning was a complete disaster. The restaurant was chaotic, with guests confused about how the seating worked. After waiting 30 minutes and having to find someone ourselves, they scribbled our name down on a napkin and told us the wait would be an hour and a half. When we finally got seated, everything felt rushed, and while the food was okay, it was definitely overpriced. For $500 a night—or even $300—you’d expect much better customer service. The hotel’s beauty can’t make up for its lackluster service and attention to detail.
Great time
The riverwalk is getting rundown and dirty
Great overall experience!! The hotel does not offer a free parking space so there is the added cost of parking if choosing this hotel
Right on the Riverwalk with balcony view of the river. Great staff
River view

understaffed
It was a short trip just passing by everything was great especially the bed i slept very good. Best hotel I've stayed at, as of now.
Poor service, clogged drains
The sink drain didn't work, the shower drain clogged, they supposedly fixed it but it still clogged the next day. They didn't clean the room or provide towels one of the days. Very poor service. When i complained again at the end they said too bad you booked with hotel.com otherwise we might compensate you. Very disappointed
Great trip! Beautiful hotel and awesome staff!
Wonderful hotel. Enjoyed the stay.
Absolutely great
Very clean
Gorgeous property right on the Riverwalk with water views. Easily accessed from the hotel. Close to all conveniences. King room was large, clean, with solid furniture, safe, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The gym was well-equipped with a view to the welcoming pool area. Had a great stay!
We just had a perfect stay at this Westin. The location is ideal, directly on the riverwalk and quick walking distance to downtown bars and restaurants. The staff from the front desk, the wonderful conciere, the downstairs restaurant, and the guys helping with the cars were all professional and friendly. The first floor seating and waiting areas were really classy. We reserved several rooms facing the water and each was very nice. They had a number of events going on but things ran smoothly and the other guests we interacted with seemed happy and relaxed. We felt very safe, welcomed, and comfortable the whole time. We had an issue with one of our rooms and it was resolved immediately. Well worth the stay and we’re happy to give it a major thumbs up.
Staff was great!!! Location was convenient!! Very clean room!!!
I'm sad to have to give this lovely property a negative review. There's so much about this hotel that is really quite nice: the location, the front desk staff, the lobby and main floor are beautiful, the food at the downstairs restaurant was delicious. However, we were more than disappointed with the cleaning staff. Our room was not cleaned or serviced the entire stay.We were celebrating our anniversary and I had to make my own bed. We called the front desk for towels, and when I asked about housekeeping they brought me sheets to make up my own bed - on my anniversary! There was a used highball glass with a dried out lime sitting on the table by the elevator our entire stay. Nobody wants to stay in a hotel that has housekeeping issues, sorry, but that's just a simple fact.I spoke to the front desk about this several times, and when we checked out I asked to speak to the manager so that I could give him my negative feedback privately and not online. He apologised and gave us one night free, which we accepted and believed was a generous way to rectify the situation. That would be the end of the story, but about two weeks later they re-charged our credit card for the full amount. I called and spoke to Ruby, who was going to speak to a manager and get back to us, but we did not hear back from her. I am not interested in "working" to get the charges removed, but I thought I'd let others know that not only is housekeeping quite below par, but they don't seem to care about their guests.

Beautifully placed
The hotel itself is very beautifully placed on the riverwalk, and also just as beautiful on the inside. The rooms were nice and beds were super cozy. The employess were very friendly and attentive to any questions we may have had. The only complaint I would have is parking. You have to park across the street in parking garage and if that is full you are kind of out of luck. They do have valet but, to me $60 a day is a little pricey for this service (my opinion). Also the pool area, they really should leave that open in the night time. People are on vacation and sometimes enjoy a nice night swim to enjoy all of the money spent to stay in the hotel.
