There are aspects that are 5 Star and others that simply are not. For 5 stars, and the related price point, details matter. The gym bathrooms were out of order. The soaps and shampoos in the shower and bath had pumps that don’t work. They charge $77/night for a resort fee and yet the pool was not accessible because of a “chemical imbalance”. The only consolation provided was a reduction in the resort fee. There are plenty of other choices in the 5 star category that offer better value. One can accept these first world inconveniences, just not the silly room rates that go along with it.

Beautiful property and amazing staff
I can’t believe that property is a St Regis. The building is falling apart, tubs not working, shower was flooding, matress was with a hole looks like never changed. Pillows and blankets smelled. I prepaid for the nights and was charged 2400 dollars to my credit card. Still pending on 2 of my Amex cards. Horrible experience.

Terrible customer service by hotel and hotels .com. I pre-paid a non-refundable rate. My plans changed and I was going to be 2 days late to my reservation. I did not ask for any money back , but because I didn’t show Up within a certain time period of my reservation, even though I had paid for 100% of it, I could 1) not check in and use the reservation I paid for and 2) hotels.com did not give me any money back. Ridiculous policy and if there another comprehensive service like Hotels.com I would use it.

I travel a lot, a know the difference between a $350 a night hotel and a $1000 plus a night hotel. St Regis cost me $1450 for one night and is perhaps the biggest rip off I have ever been subjected to. The entrance is awful. Decor is old. Elevators are not working. The pool area is pathetic and the main Greek restaurant a joke. I went there to eat last night at 8:30pm and there was NO ONE in the restaurant. The St Regis bar is more like a McDonals serving drinks. Awful.
The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, but the overall service quality is just average. The bellboy was friendly, but the rest of the staff seemed to provide merely adequate service. They appeared somewhat aloof, as if they were more accustomed to serving old money. I had an unpleasant encounter with a rude individual while waiting for the elevator. Despite being ahead in line, this person aggressively cut in front of us and complained about our speed, although we were waiting for others to exit the elevator first. Initially, I thought this person was a guest, but upon seeing them again in the lobby the next day, I suspected they might be part of the staff. Regarding room and balcony cleanliness, it was passable, though not impressive. However, the view was indeed spectacular. It seems like the hotel might be catering to guests with higher spending expectations.

Rooms need to have some maintenance , had a dryer I. The room that was no opera table, they swapped it out for one from another room, that one was better but kept sitting down befor clothes were dry ,,, ice maker in freezer was non operational , phone in room were old and would cut out after a couple of minutes or if you walked in the other room , room service food was limited , expensive , and sub par quality.... great location friendly staff

The front desk was atrocious. My uber eats were not delivered for over an hour and half. manager not helpful. prices exorbitant for what you receive. many other hotels in Miami that are much better and a lot less expensive.

Everything from check-in to the valet, from housekeeping to the Lobby Bar to Atlantikos was superb! St Regis is my new favourite hotel brand! I was travelling with my husband and my dog and the staff and guests we polite and accommodating!

not a great experience
My husband and I have stay at numerous fine properties but nothing surpasses the st Regis Bal harbour. From the moment of reception and check-in to our departure we were treated with unprecedented favor and gracious hospitality. The property is well kept and well managed but it’s true accolades are it’s staff.
We had the most wonderful time at this amazing resort. Everything is luxurious: the welcome, the room, the complimentary coffee tea and water, the spa, the serenity pool, the artwork everywhere. And every member of the staff is so warm and friendly. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful property inside and out, most impressive was the service of every member of the staff from the moment we pulled up to the valet until we completed our amazing four day stay. The two superstars of the week were Juan and Rick at the pool side bar. Amazing bartenders but more than that it was like hanging out with old friends. I would put St. Regis Bal Harbour as one the best Five Star Hotels we've stayed at in our 30 year traveling experience. We will definitely be back in January. Eric and Amy

One of my favorite hotels in the world...simply the best
Poor service. Staff not knowledgeable or helpful. Staff have no idea about dealing with the type of guests staying there. Poor room cleaning. Long in room dining. Food not to par. Elevators function very stupid and also broke down every day of my stay. Cara took more than 20 mins to be brought up by valet. I could go on and on but in short, since the pandemic they have an entire new staff that are just not ready for prime time. I will never stay there again.

We have been to the St. Regis many times and it is a fantastic hotel with great staff and amenities. Very kid friendly and all the dining options from the pool to the restaurants are fantastic. However, while the rooms are gorgeous and clean the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable. I only say this to encourage the hotel to upgrade there mattresses so when we come back to Miami next time it will make our decision easier when choosing a hotel. It needs to be addressed.

Best stay ever. It is a truly five-star experience.
St Regis Bal Harbor is a wonderful hotel resort. The doors open automatically into the lobby displaying the most beautiful and best smelling flowers. You walk down the red carpet to the receptionist who was politely waiting for us with a huge smile. He was tall slender fella with an enormous smile. we checked in about 5th say about 6ish on the 5th. If i knew his name i would mention it. He showed us to our elevator that open directly to our room. I felt safe, secure & best of all it was easy to find our room=) Our room had a dining room 2 living rooms 2 bath rooms 1 master & 2 outdoor areas. It was huge! We loved our room for comfort design and space. I met housekeeping she was so polite. We also experienced one of the Resturants Atlankios, we went 2 times to the breakfast buffet, the decor and food was fine. The 2 young ladies at the door were great however our waiters i was not impressed. So then we went to the pool with our family The staff near the pool made us feel special. Alex by the pool got our bikes ready had water for us and He was always checking on the guest I noticed. Sabrina was our waitress and i just loved her spirit. She was on it, moving back and fourth in the beaming heat with a big smile on her face the entire time! Being at the family pool at St Regis was the best time! We want to come back soon! Thank you Alex & Sabrina -near the family pool- my kids told us it felt like they were at a resort in the bahamas amazing customer service

Great property , well maintained , staff was great as well. However couple of point for the management. 1. Everyone gets charged $45 per day resort fee , you really shouldn’t charge extra for an umbrella at the beach , doesn’t look right. 2. Ripped , stained towels and sheets shouldn’t be re-used at a property at this price point. 3. Higher prices are expected for everything , but it seemed $60 for room service for 2 hot teas and 2 sodas was excessive.

The hotel is beautiful and the size of the room was amazing. The cleanliness was subpar. The room I was assigned was not vacuumed properly and the seats in the terrace had food particles left behind from a previous occupant. They should consider adding Netflix to their programing options.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing rooms and excellent staff. Beach / water in Bal Harbour is beautiful. One of the better hotels I have stayed in Florida. Kid friendly as compared to south beach hotels. Looking forward to going back.
Kinda pricey,, but service is excellent,, parking is only valet 55$ a day so allow 10-15 min till you have your car ready .. also one side of the hotel is ocean front but doesn’t get any sun ,, overall it was a great stay,, staff are friendly ,, will definitely do it again

When we checked in I gave them 3 bags to store because my room wasn’t ready Later on they called me to come to get my keys and told me that they going to bring the bad in to the room So they brought 3 bags and a jacket that was on top of one bags I told to the guys that this is not my jacket so he take it and then I realize that the bag is not my as well so the guy that brought me the bags took it back and went to look for my back Later on they were asking maybe I am an idiot and switched my bags when I was flying I wasn’t I came from other place To make the story short They never find and corporate office is dealing with that and we going to make insurance claim on Monday They just ruined our 2 days stay and never even apologized And everyday when I was asking if they found my bad they were looking at me like I am from the moon Now to buy what they lost we gonna spend a lot of money and we never even had anyone sad sorry They did not care

I liked the concierge and valet service. They were prompt and handled everything with care. The beach service was great. Tyler went over and beyond to make sure we were very comfortable with our space. Alex was helpful with answering questions regarding the facility as well. Overall a great experience that I will recommend to my family and friends.
The property was nice, bellman was superior. Spa barely operating, room service only every other day at night. Broken bathroom door never fixed. Trash on patio chairs. Not a very nice experience for the price.
Poor service for the level expected. We took the chance to go amid the pandemic and I was disappointed for the way we were treated. They are serving in papel plates and all restaurants and services were closed despite all hotels and business around were functioning with regular services. We asked for wine glasses to be taken to the room and they sent disposable glasses. Awful experience overall.

Luxury Beach Stay
This property is for the grown folks, Very NICE and upscale it’s away from the heart of south beach but close enough to still get in the action if you want. The Mall is right here also so get some shopping done before the nightlife..
