Overall good, could use some love
It was a good stay! Just some of the little things didn't work out well.
Marcus and Marcel were great. The restaurant is really good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice lobby area. I stay here regular.
Staff was super nice and helpful. Hotel was clean and stylish
The staff was AMAZING!
Lovely stay-heating system issue
Our room was beautiful! A corner suite in a quiet building location. Hotel, restaurant and bar staff were very attentive, helpful and welcoming. It was very clean with convenient amenities. The only issue was the loudness of the heaters in the bedroom. It was cold outside so they needed to cycle frequently. Would wake us. Otherwise, it was excellent stay. I would return.
Great accommodations, great staff, great restaurant. Nice, modern decor and cosmopolitan vibe. Poor WiFi reception in gym. Shallow bathroom sink allows water to spill on the floor.
My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary. The staff were very friendly but there was an overwhelming smell of weed throughout the hotel and especially on our floor. There were some concerns about the cleanliness of the floor as well. Other than that, the in house restaurant, valet staff and welcome desk folks were wonderful.
My favorite hotel when visiting DC
What a wonderful find! Stayed for a business trip and had an exceptional time. Great service and responsive team.
Very nice property and design. If possible I strongly suggest to avoid using the AC which is very, very noisy!
I stay here regularly as it is near work requirements. It is a well appointed hotel with modern up to date rooms and an excellent restaurant. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
Great stay, staff especially the front desk was very helpful.
Poor service. Bad WiFi. Was told would be contacted by someone to assist with WiFi but no one showed up or called during my 3 night stay. No coffee in lobby. Keurig in room but only enough creamers for 2 cups. We stayed 3 nights and three times requested additional creamers but never received. Expensive Bistro first floor doesn’t open till 7 a.m. Better hotel for night owls. I left at 6 a.m for early train no one at front desk.
St Gregory was conveniently located, very clean, and appeared exactly as it did in the pictures. I’d definitely stay here again.
It was a pleasant place to stay with my family! Clean , the staff were very friendly!
Our stay was overall a positive experience, with the reception staff being particularly kind and responsive. However, housekeeping seemed to have some difficulty understanding requests the first time. As a family of three staying in the executive suite, we needed the sofa to be made up, along with an extra set of towels and a robe. It took three requests before everything was arranged, which was a bit surprising. While not a major issue, it did leave us wondering why it was so challenging to fulfill. That said, the hotel’s restaurant on the ground floor was a highlight, adding to an otherwise pleasant stay.
Fantastic hotel for a great price. Marcus and the other staff went above and beyond. The restaurant and bar in the hotel is INCREDIBLE with 5 star service. Will definitely be back.
Fabulous hotel in ideal location. Staff, including Marcus at the front desk were the best.
Very clean and satisfied with my stay.
Hidden Expedia fee. Our toilet didn’t work
Coldest welcome ever upon arrival. Worst in 1000 hotel stays. They were very put out that I showed up to patronize their establishment
I'm going back!
Great staff, comfortable ambience, clean, nice restaurant
I travel to DC often for work & this was probably the worst stay I have ever had. While the staff was unbelievably kind, the property itself was not clean, incredibly hot, we couldn’t control the thermostat & had to open the window in order to let in cold air which posed health/safety risks. In addition to this the sink in the bathroom did not drain, I had to fix the plumbing in the toilet & the bathtub was sinking. The only reason I did not complain onsite was because the staff were so kind & it was certainly not their fault.
Excellent restaurant - the chef is very good. The front desk staff are efficient and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Typically a great value.
Amazing room. I love everything about this hotel and my dining experience. When I'm in DC again, I will stay there again.
Front desk folks were lovely and helpful. Service in restaurant horrible. Shower old. Bed comfy.
Would highly recommend!
Very beautiful and historic property; quickly becoming my go-to hotel for stays in DC.
The St. Gregory Hotel is wonderful. It's very well styled with a great bistro and bar located inside. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. If you are a light sleeper, know that the heater in the rooms is loud when it cuts on. It's an excellent location for dining and walking distance to the metro and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great location
It was amazing everyone was very accommodating
Amazing
Amazing stuff and location I recommend +*****
Everything was seamless and enjoyable
Great staff and location.
Fine Experience, Not a Luxury Hotel
Our stay at the St. Gregory was overall a fine experience. However, we were looking for what it was advertised as: a luxury, four-star hotel. The bathrooms were older without any ventilation and the beds were uncomfortable with pilled linens. The photos of the listing are beautiful as is the hotel's website. However, the reality of the situation is just an okay hotel disguising as a luxury accommodation.
The hotel is nice, Marcell at front desk was very nice and accommodating
Thought the overall respect and enthusiasm to please the visitor was fantastic. When visiting Washington again, I will definitely book with this hotel. While staying we did not have time to shop while attending a function at Georgetown Univ.
Nice
The property was nice a well appointed. Notable the staff was very friendly.
The hotel is lovely. Welcoming staff, good food and drinks.
the stay was good only minor problem the toilet needed a new flapper devise..
Very noisy room
Hotel was lovely, staff friendly. However was given a room far down the hall next to the staff utility room. Quite noisy
My stay at St Gregory
My stay was excellent, very enjoyable. ALL the staff was very friendly, helpful, and showed a genuine desire to make sure I was having a great experience. The room was very clean, the amenities were comfortable. I was required to pay an activity fee of $30 per night, but then I was given a $25 voucher to use at their restaurant for each day of my stay. The menu had many options that I found to be delicious. I will definitely return!
Bathroom was slightly outdated.
Super clean and the staff was very nice
Wonderful rooms with nice Balcony
Nice wide rooms. With a walkable location. And friendly staff.
The St.Gregory is a beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown DC. It’s walkable to Georgetown , DuPont Circle and the mall as well as varied upscale restaurant options. We stayed in a suite with our kids and loved the space and view!
Excellent except that pillow was not good for my neck and I woke with bad neck pain.
really great place and great location
Located out of the hustle and bustle of DuPont Circle and within walking distance of it, Georgetown and other great locales.
Great hotel with a great location.
Amazing
My stay was fantastic. The entire staff was kind and helpful. The lobby was always warm, fragrant, and inviting! My room was cleaned well. I felt safe. I would stay at this hotel every time I visited D.C.!!!
The staff were all very nice and courteous. The overall 2 star rating is because I needed to ask for a receipt 3 different times (once in person, once over the phone, and the last time through the hotel website contact portal) before it was finally emailed after check out. At that point I discovered the $25 credit through Expedia hadn’t been deducted from my valet charge, even after showing this discount to the front desk and mentioning it at check in. I emailed the hotel back about this and never received a reply. I had to open a dispute with my credit card company to get the discount applied. It was a pain and had I known this journey would take place I would have booked a different hotel.
Services were top tier. Marcus at the front was very friendly and accommodating.
It’s really well located. The property looks great in pictures but it’s not that amazing in reality. The bathrooms are pretty old. People leaving take out on the hallways all night is not great and walls are too thin so you hear a lot from the other rooms
Great boutique hotel!
The staff is very friendly and super attentive. The rooms were nice and I would stay again.
Beautiful property - centrally located. Lovely little bar and restaurant !
Well taken care of, and great location
Facility fee scam
Upon arrival I was told that there would be a $35 "facility fee" for all guests. After I complained that this was not advertised properly the receptionist said that they would waive the fee. However, after I checked out I was still charged a $35 fee. If you want to jack up the rates then just do so, stop the scam with such fees.
The air conditioner in the room is ridiculously loud, we had to turn it off to be able to fall asleep. The wall is super thin, I can hear my neighbors talking and walking. The room is very spacious though.
Nice area and generally good experience but the rooms are a bit outdated and the walls may as well be made of paper because I could hear everything going on in the room next to me.
Everything was Amazing. Beutiful place and perfect Service. Just the heating in the room went on and off and woke me up in the middle of the night. I would suggest to modernised those machines.
Rave review
it was amazing and I have already sent my commendation for the amazing service.
Nearnoffice. Great value.
Five star
Lots of space in my room!
Nice hotel - friendly staff - great location.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with incredibly comfortable beds and all the amenities I could need. Bathrooms featured high end toiletries, which made the experience feel even more luxurious. The views from my room were lovely, giving me a nice peek into the city life without too much noise—a perfect balance. The location couldn’t be better. Situated in the Dupont Circle area, it was easy to get to top spots. It’s an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore the city! I also have to give a shoutout to the onsite restaurant and bar. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were on point—definitely a great spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. All in all, the St. Gregory Hotel provided an amazing experience with its thoughtful service, prime location, and beautiful ambiance. I’ll absolutely be staying here again the next time I’m in DC! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a mix of comfort, style, and convenience in the heart of the city.
The location was very convenient. The workers were very helpful and kind. The room was spacious with necessary amenities. Would stay again.
Beautiful Hotel
The hotel was beautiful; the staff helpful and friendly. Parking was $50 for 10 hours.

Cool boutique hotel
Excellent staff service, pleasant, welcoming, efficient, and helpful. Lovely lobby, restaurant and bar area. Good service. Room was good. The couch in the sitting area was stained, the room itself was good, bathroom good, but no shower cap, the heating/cooling unit was loud, not easy to use to address temperature. The room was a great size, great view, the bed was very comfortable, and was clean. Very good experience. Great location too!
Great location ! The rooms are nice and spaced. The Bistro in the lobby is really good
Friendly, efficient staff, nice room, good location.
Everything perfect
Clean, friendly staff, conveniently located.
great room
Great room, great location and everyone was friendly
Check in was fairly easy and our room was available upon arrival. Marcel got us checked in and explained our dining options. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom could us some renovations, as the tub show signs of rust. There’s an adjoining restaurant that’s decent. The restaurant’s evening hostess sat us and then came back after we’d ordered to try and move us for a large party. We just headed upstairs to our room instead of relocate.
One Night Only
We had a great time except a few minor inconveniences. Our mirror for the closet was broken and we didn't get any wash clothes in the room. The staff were friendly and nice. The room was a great size we were only staying one night. Valet was convenient so it all worked out. The bar downstairs was great. Overall good experience
Great hotel and enjoyed the location within DC. We walked everywhere or took the subway that is just down the street at DuPont Circle.
The hotel clean. Stuff is nice. Location is fine but you need to take taxi to go sightseeing. The only bad thing I left my nightgown under pillows and I found it on the floor after the room was cleaned. Breakfast was good, bar too. Dinner I would not recommend.
Good
For what I paid almost 1k for two nights the rooms were very dirty and outdated. Peeling tub and sink, black mold in the shower and in the floor and hair in the bedding and on towels. I even found a stain in the bed very disappointing I travel to DC a lot and won’t be back.
Great place
Great staff, great location. Excellent room!
This hotel was so nice and staff at the front desk were so friendly. The only thing that others need to keep in mind is that the walls are thin… we could hear everything. A dog a few rooms down was howling until about 3am. It didn’t bother us too much cause we brought a travel fan that blocked out some noise and the room fan was loud as well which helped.
Everything wonderful except the side view which was of dumpsters/garbage cans and discarded mattresses.
We all loved the space
Great area, great hotel, great staff. I timed the walk from Dupont Circle station - took roughly 10 minutes on flat ground, so generally very accessible. So Union Station is probably around 25-30 minutes away through a walk and the Red Line in total. Overall, it was a very nice hotel stay, staff were very respectful and helpful at all times when it came to check in/out, but also general tourist advice. Bartender was great to speak to - gave recommendations on the area and the city itself and how to get around. Rooms themselves were large, clean and modern. First thing noted was that bathroom grouting must have been relatively fresh. Sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable as you might expect, but everything was to a good standard. The aircon unit in the room itself was a bit loud however, and we had to turn it off at night. Only problem we encountered were the room neighbours blasting music through the walls at 4:10am, but quick message to reception and that was sorted very quickly. What wasn't sorted immediately however was that there are speakers outside the building that play music for ambiance. These can defintiely be heard on the lower floors nearby even when windows are closed and locked. When we asked reception in the middle of the night, they looked into it but was unable to do anything in the time - but promptly gave us a new room to sleep in on the floor (again in the middle of the night) which is very commendable. Overall - would happily stay here again.
I was charged additional tax fees even though I had paid in full already.
Great staff, great food. Very accomodating to needs.
Air conditioner unit was loud.
Great location, clean facilities, and awesome staff
We love this place! Great location nice bar, comfy rooms
Would stay again
