Happy with my stay there! Would stay again if I’m back in San Antonio
Average.
Beautiful property- staff was very helpful and friendly! Definitely will come back!
Grand old classic hotel with some strange but likeable 60s design overlays. Very accomodating staff and our King suite was very comfortable. Classy breakfast room.
Beautiful place and location
Loved it!
Downtown gem...
Great hotel. Zero complaints.
Very clean, nicely decorated, nice lounge area, nice suite, great restaurant
Hreat
Amazing Hotel!
Not even close to 4-5 star. Elevator did not work. Tv did not work and we couldn’t get it fixed
Very clean and luxurious! Great staff and very friendly. We loved the view of Travis park. We will definitely return! Thank you!
Room smelled like grease or something and hallway like sewer. Bedroom carpet was sticky and gross. Ice service never brought ice first day.Shower seal was rotted. Water gets all over the floor. Laughable “luxury!” The guys at the entrance and valet were awesome friendly and welcoming though!!
Nice hotel, lots of homeless around the area
This was my first time at this property and, WOW! The staff from the moment we pulled up was absolutely amazing. The entire place was perfectly decorated for the holiday as well. The room service was great, providing ice when requested so we didn’t have to go on a hunt indoor it. I will say there are/were several ‘crackheads’ in the surrounding streets so just be ready for that. I think that’s a SA problem and has zero impact on the actual property. Anytime I ever come back, this is where I’m staying. I loved the bar, the spacious rooms and the architecture was breathtaking.
Never stay here...
The worst hotel stay i have had in a long time...luxury hotel?? 700 dollars later for one night..emailed days before and called 2hrs before stay to make sure we could get in just a little bit earlier than 4.. waited in lobby for hours with other guests. I was told they need to change pillows..that took an hour. Then they came in to room while i was in shower early to clean room. I have never been at a worse hotel. Awful awdul awful
We had an early flight, so we arrived in San Antonio around 930. We went to the hotel immediately after 3
Excellent customer service!!!!!!
Beautiful hotel! Parking was very expensive for overnight and mattress was hard. But otherwise we did enjoy our stay.
I love staying here, 3rd Christmas in a row - always a wonderful time.
Nice place, beautiful lobby, great eggnog muffin for dessert.
Great location to see a lot of stuff to do. Highly recommended.
We were in for a wedding reception, everiwas beautiful and very convenient!
It was such a great experience
Staff were great, room and parking valet were awesome. Food: when ordering room service, should always bring a receipt for the guest. The food quality is not up to par based on cost. Possibly they need a New Chef. Thank you.
All was great We stay every River parade
Great service and hotel lobby pretty well decorated with taste and according to the Season
Awesome hotel Very unique and beautiful Has lots of history Best location
Amazing property, historic and old, but still beautiful on the inside.
Stunning hotel and service.
This Hotel is beautiful. Beautifully kept too. Great staff.
The Property is beautiful but the Staff is what brings me back they treat you like family.
It’s a historical hotel and is very elegant. All staff polite and courteous.
We were late checking in and the room type we paid for was given away. The hotel gave us an in-house credit but the room wasn’t bad it just wasn’t what we paid for and expected. Only one elevator out of three was working. The hotel was short on the waitstaff but our waiter Derik was phenomenal and gave great advice on the breakfast items. If not for Derik we would’ve went to the local IHOP.
Gorgeous hotel with beautiful chandeliers throughout. Extremally comfortable beds. The gave us a room with a fantastic view. King Bed Suite. They provided a mini fridge upon request and late check out. I can't wait to return.
love this place so beautiful
Yes i like perfect
Everything was great!!!
Overall the property was amazing! It was beautiful inside. Adrin at check in was wonderful! She gave us some great tips on places to eat and visit. The one issue we had was the parking garage next door was extremely loud. It was really obnoxious!
OVI— owns St Anthony Hotel/ so she acts like
Rooms walls are paper thin so u could here everything going in neighbors rooms could here neighbors so slept with ear plugs each night- everyone was very professional beside one female individual that acted like she owned the hotel at the breakfast restaurant by the name of OVI — apologized to me for being short staffed and then made me wait 30 minutes because she was gonna help someone carry cereal and coffee to their room-when only 1 elevator was working/ of course she did it on purpose since I told her she had 3 tables sitting and 7 tables available — so she made it a point to teach me a lesson- so yeah/ this young lady does not belong in this type of job or hotel
Decent hotel. Lobby is nice and beautiful. The cheap decorations and art scattered among the real art and antiques is really off putting. Parking is outrageously high. LOTS of homeless in the area. Especially in the park across the street. Final bill was WAY higher than quoted.
Everything
Perfect for families 💜
pleased customer
The place is beautiful. Super clean, THe staff super friendly.
A great weekend stay
A very beautiful hotel with excellent service. Our 4 year old loved it as well and the 1 bedroom suite was perfect to have him sleep on the pull out couch. Would definitely return.
Beautiful.
Awesome
The property is very outdated. We understand that it is a historic hotel, but for instance, elevators not working and things like this bring down the value of a luxury hotel. For the money, we will not be coming back.
Beautiful hotel, well kept, great suite
It was alright I guess
Our stay was mid, as the kids say. We booked a suite that was advertised with a bath tub for our wedding night - no bath tub. This is an older hotel but our room seemed to be in a bit of disrepair on the walls and the shower. The service was great, room service food was pricy and fell short on flavor, TV screen in the living room was going out. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times but I think now it’s time to find a different favorite in downtown San Antonio. This was not worth the price
The hotel is lobby and bedrooms are attractive and comfortable. I would recommend staying here. The two drawbacks were that the gym is long but small with a limited amount of weights and equipment. It's ok if there are a few people in the gym, but crowded with 5 or more. Outside the hotel, horses and carts congregate. This leads to horses urinating creating a smell.
Peaceful and relaxing. Room are wonderful.
Did not fall short of Luxury
St. Anthony’s
It was ok for price and being in the city. Cable was out the whole time so couldn’t get the local news. A lot of construction. Asked for towels as we did not ask for the room to be cleaned but they didn’t bring them. We got some from the pool. No morning coffee downstairs. Keurig pods went quick. Good place but not awesome. Good price. Awesome city!!!!
Worst experience I’ve ever had! The outside of the hotel is filled with homeless people. I do have to say, the lobby smells and looks beautiful. The staff are professional and welcoming. When we arrived the lady at the front desk mentioned that their tv service was getting fixed. I know things happen so it didn’t affect us until we got to the floor our room was on. When we first got out, there was an awful smell. You can tell that the carpet hadn’t been cleaned. I did not see any mold, but it smelled humid and dirty. We paid for a suite, it was not cheap. Once we opened our room, it looked nothing like the pictures. The couch was dirty and had a pull out bed. The mattress had brown, reddish stains on it. The fridge that was brought up to us looked like it was picked up from the street. It had dents and scratches all over it. I used the restroom and noticed stains on the door, floor and the toilet had a pubic hair on it. It was absolutely disgusting. We went to the lobby and talked to the manager. We explained what happened and she was very professional and understanding. She offered us another room with a full refund. We declined so she offered to call other hotels to get us a room. Beware of this hotel! Not worth the price for the “luxury” hotel they claim to be.
Very luxurious feel. Beautiful architecture and design. A 5-star service. Very happy!
Almost a 10/10
Everything was great besides the broken iron and stained sheets
Great property
The pool was a great vibe and clean
It was an ok hotel, pricey for what its offering, elevators were not working (2/3 were down), next to lots of homeless hooligans screaming and swear all night, old building. Privacy/DND was not working and house keeping would repeatedly try to get in even though the locks were engaged.
Overall the hotel was great. Only issues was we had a stain on our bedside g but they changed it out right away and only 1 elevator working. Everything else was good.
Clean inside but the views of the park a lot of homeless people sleeping at park that’s your view
Historic property in Riverwalk area. Very lovely. The public park across the street has a lot of homeless folks loitering.
Awesome
$50 parking was more than what I expected.
The hotel was very clean and luxury. The suite we booked was spacious, but the door near the toilet area was very inconvenient. The staff were outstanding! They also sent us a surprise anniversary cake and some chocolate covered strawberries. One of the little lamps was not working in the bedroom, staff was informed but it was not fixed and our stay ended. The pool area was great and kids enjoyed it. Overall a good experience and would also recommend if you are staying with kids.
Disappointed
Higher than comparable hotels and not on Riverwalk. Ridiculous prices for VALET PARKING. Not enough seating at breakfast! Turned away and had a bagel & coffee. Several people were mad about this, as well. Otherwise, great hotel.
This was a girls runaway. This was the most elegant hotel we've ever stayed in. Valet, doormen bellhops! Oh my! Front desk was efficient and pleasant, The decor was outstanding and historic. I love the marble and and lobby furniture. Food was different than most places, it was good. We were in room 756 and despite being that high up, you can hear traffic down below. The room was great, bathroom was spectacular. Sofa bed left much to be desired for an older body. DON'T PASS UP THE CHANCE TO STAY HERE.
Great service from the whole staff.
Had an amazing Anniversary trip!!
Floors were dirty the check in person was not cheerful
For the price you would expect to be staying at a 5 star hotel, sadly this isn't the case. While the decor on the main floor is extravagant, the rooms are lacking and dated. We stayed in the queen suite and we're made to wait 2 hours past check in so they could "clean". There is zero public parking so you have to pay $50 for the night for their valet service. The location might be near attractions downtown but you're greeted by the homeless and local drug addicts hanging out across the street in the "park" day and night. We stayed in the queen suite, and for the extensive cleaning they did it didn't show. The sofa and cushions were stained with what I hope wasn't body fluids. The paint was peeling by the windows, the overall decor seems as if it was new in the 1960s. With the exception of the overpriced food amenities and pay to use toiletries (which was the icing on the cake). The only thing fantastic was the service, the help was on point and made us feel as guests. The overall hotel as a whole wasn't worth the price if you're actually paying with you're own money.
Nice hotel
Lovely hotel. I would definitely stay there again
Clean and friendly
Air conditioner not working properly, staff not very helpful or accommodating due to that.
Like the location and pool and the room was nice. Had trouble with the drainage in the room though.
Very clean. Staff pleasant and helpful
Great stay in a beautiful, historic hotel!
Great stay in a beautiful, historic hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool and bar was amazing which the whole family enjoyed. The Haunt lounge had delicious cocktails and nice live entertainment. Only downside was that they did only have one working elevator and sometimes bit of a wait for the elevator to stop on your floor. Otherwise it was a good place to stay in San Antonio and accesible to Riverwalk and Alamo.
Walkable to every tourist spots in the city. And also close to nice restaurants. Staff were all kind and nice. I liked their collections of the furnitures on the lobby floor.
I appreciated that we were able to get into our room before check in time. We were attending a wedding at the hotel. They only had one elevator working, and it was a very small elevator. Thankfully we were on the 4th floor, so using the stairs wasn’t too difficult. The hotel lobby was very warm during the cocktail hour. The sink area in the bathroom was very small. It was challenging to get ready for the wedding. The shower is right next to the sink area, so the steam from the shower makes it challenging to see yourself in the mirror. The sink didn’t drain well. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are really nice. Very happy with that part. The food was horrible. Of the four of us who all got different food items, none of us had a pleasant experience. I'd definitely suggest eating somewhere else. Also, while the hotel itself is beautiful, the elevators are horrific. They are old, shabby, dark, super scary. Of the three in the front lobby, two were broken. The third one sounded like it would be any minute. You could see it clanging and banging. That was pretty scary. It reminded me of an elevator the staff would use for domestic use. Next time, and I would stay there again, I'd get a room on the first floor and eat out. Otherwise, its a beautiful hotel. By the way, they charge you $69 a night to valet your car. The hotel does not have a parking lot.
Bhhbbhvff
The live music
Parking and restaurant access is limited. Hotel is beautiful, but small suites for the price.
Lots of things are nit to the standard and rooms we’re not even ready when it’s 5 pm way pass the check in tome.
Great experience!
Service was AMAZING!! Definitely staying again. My only complaint was the room didnt cool off enough.
$60 dlls. for parking… we rented a Tesla for $120 for 3 days…parking was more expensive. My brother agreed to pay since they promised to change the car. That did not happen. We lost almost half day looking for a changing station worried to be stalled. Out of all the elevators only 1 was working. Food is super pricey and not worth it at all! Since parking was so pricey and we had 3 vehicles I left one on a garage a street away from them. My son got sick started throwing up, had fever and chills at midnight. They do not have a basic first aid or the basic stuff to sell. If anyone gets hurt by the pool good luck with that! All of pharmacies around were closed and I was not about to walk after midnight by myself to the parking garage. Then the AC broke in the entire building all night long! My brother had a baby and his wife pregnant. Needles to say I requested a full refund and they agreed to it! Never again… the offered 2 free nights for a future stay… NO thank you. Give me my money back and bye… will not come back ever again
AC
Throughout our stay the AC was not working properly and actually broke down marking the hotel and rooms every hot and uncomfortable to sleep in at night
We had tickets to an event at the Alamodome and this hotel was an easy walk to and from the event. The check-in experience was easy, and the staff was very polite and helpful. Even had a jazz band playing in the bar. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
A/C wasn't working properly across the property
The AC was out in the entire hotel. They continued to lie about it just coming back on. Did not have fans for anyone. They brought water bottles that were hot
First night was outstanding in this fully renovated 100 yr old hotel. Very convenient for walking to river walk and Alimo attractions we were interested in. Unfortunately, second day and night not as enjoyable. Only one elevator worked out of three for 10 stories. No ice machines on any floor. Took almost an hour to get a bucket delivered and air conditioning went out in entire hotel making second night sleeping very uncomfortable in a hot August!
The a.c was not working I left the hotel trying to get a refund
We arrived at 5 pm . Our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait till 6:30. The air conditioning didn’t work. We cannot sleep for the heat.
One of the best hotels in San Antonio. Unfortunately, the downtown is trashed
Loved everything about this place. Everything was wonderful and Martha at the front desk was exceptional but honestly everyone waa amazing.
Exquisite hotel with old style charm. Staff was super kind and friendly Would stay again
Absolutely loved everything about this hotel
The tv in the bedroom wouldnt connect to the internet for streaming services. The outlets on one of the night stands didnt work. Besides those two issues, the hotel was great and so was the staff. Definitely planning on staying.

The park across the street is a bit sketchy, but other than that it was a very nice experience. Lovely pool, excellent staff, One elevator was broken which was a bit inconvenient. Restaurants are very good, lovely lobby, concierge is wonderful. Our first stay in San Antonio and we enjoyed it. Also, great restaurants nearby, and the River Walk is an easy stroll. all in all, very very nice.
