Everything about the Resort was perfect.
Exceptional resort, large room, service & cleanliness 10/10 polite staff and beautiful aesthetic. Nice pools & beach. Didn’t make much use of activities on resort as was here with two month old and elderly mother.
Our stay at Steigenberger Ras Soma was made unforgettable by the amazing team that ensured every moment was perfect. From the moment we arrived late, Ahmed, the concierge, welcomed us warmly and helped us settle into our room. His kindness and infectious smile brightened our day whenever we crossed paths. The chefs and waiters, especially Haytham, Amin, and Ahmed, were outstanding—always attentive and helpful. They even memorized our favorite drinks, which added a personal touch and created a truly welcoming and enjoyable experience. Our room cleaner (room 1051) was equally exceptional, with thoughtful attention to detail and kindness throughout our stay. Every member of the resort’s staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and their attentiveness and friendliness created a genuine atmosphere of hospitality. They truly made our stay an experience we’ll never forget.

The resort and the service provided was top notch. Room was clean and in perfect condition every day! Lots of amenities provided. The restaurants offer a variety of food and drinks making everyone happy for any time during the day. But most of all, the service is at a very high standard. Everyone’s objective is to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the attention to detail is superb. They even prepared our room and dinner table with flowers on our wedding anniversary. Will definitely come back.
5* luxury, relaxation, and service
The hotel has a very minimalistic and modern design which is very pleasing and has a very welcoming feeling. The design of the hotel was very thought out and this makes it easy to understand the layout. The rooms also compliment the rest of the hotel. The rooms are very spacious, large bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and a large bathroom. The walk-in wardrobe is a great touch as it keeps the rest of the room clean, and this is a unique addition to a hotel room we have rarely experienced previously. There is a large choice of dining options for both lunch and dinner with breakfast served daily in the buffet restaurant. It was nice to have the different choices for lunch (Maya and Cabana) as this allowed us to branch out from the regular buffet setting and enjoy an a la carte lunch instead. The Maya lunch was particularly impressive with not only an a la carte menu but also a buffet BBQ with choices from the BBQ changing slightly daily. For dinner, we would have to say Benisuma was our favourite, a very wide-ranging menu we had to make 2 visits and we were not disappointed either time. Speacial shoutout to Beshoy from reception, Dibo the entertainment manager, Mohamed from the safari bar, Alaa the shisha man and Khedr our housekeeper.

This property was beautiful, the beach is amazing, spa servive amazing, great food options. Had a not so good initial experience with staff being rude and unattentive compared to how they were with other patrons. However the leaders Luca and Hans took my concerns seriously and the remainder of my stay was 5 star. Its important that an organization is accountable and does everything to correct. This property made things right. While this location doesn't see a plethora of American visitors, I would visit this property and resort chain again. Totally had a great experience, especially after a few corrections were made.
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel. We arrived at 1:30 PM but were not checked in until almost 4 PM, which caused us inconvenience and discomfort, as we had been travelling for a long time and were tired.Furthermore, we had booked a room with a sea view but were given a room without a sea view. We even requested a pool view room but were told the hotel was full. However, later in the day, we found out that there were many rooms with pool view available. This inconsistency in information is highly frustrating and unacceptable. Additionally, I would like to bring to your attention the quality of the food at your hotel. As a previous guest of the same brand of hotel in Sharm El Sheekh, I had high expectations for the food at your facility. However, the food served was not up to the mark, despite its presentation looking appealing. It lacked taste and was below the normal standard we expected. I hope you take these concerns seriously and take necessary steps to ensure that such issues do not occur in the future. As a loyal customer of your brand, I look forward to hearing back from you and hope that you will address these issues in a satisfactory manner.
It’s a new secluded and quite hotel with a very friendly team. The beach is beautiful with security around it. The food is ok. Considering it’s Egypt, don’t expect over the top cuisine. Rooms are comfortable and renovated. All inclusive is fair and you can choose all kinds of food during the day. Important: if you go to the hotel doctor, make sure to be covered by a travel insurance. They are literally ripping you off if you go there for a consultation and treatment. Be careful and try to ask for a cost estimate if you don’t feel well or something. Just for info my father had some kind of food intolerance while he was there. But it’s Egypt right? Hygiene has way different standards there. We wouldn’t travel there again though.
One of the Best Resorts
We loved everything about the property. The food and staff were amazing. We were greeted with a welcome home and a welcome drink. The rooms were spacious and very clean. One of the pools was under the maintenance but there was a kid pool and another pool that had plenty of day beds and lounges. There was also a nice little beach area with plenty of lounges. When we were checking out, Ahmed came and got our bags and drove us to reception and was very helpful and friendly. We’ve been to several resorts/hotels in plenty of different countries and it has to be one of the best if not the best we have stayed at.
Amazing hotel but…!
The hotel is beautiful and very clean. quality of food is amazing, nice pools, jacuzzi and gym. The only downside was the annoying waiters who won’t let you relax or enjoy a meal without interrupting you several times and this is all because of a tip.

This hotel is amazing! The service was absolutely top of the line. The beach attendants were very attentive even wiping down our glasses. They food was great and drinks even better. We stayed for 5 nights and could not have asked for a more luxury but fun vibe!
It's really nice, the food quality is below what you would expect. Some waiters are not well trained. Pillows are huge and very uncomfortable.

Staff wore no masks, my partner contracted Covid 19 during our stay there. Staff was very rude after we received a positive Covid-19 test and asked us to leave the hotel. Their lose Covid 19 regulations spoiled our vacation.

Soma Bay is an excluded area away from the busy lifestyle of Hurghada. It’s 40min away. But the are is absolutely beautiful. The bay is ideal for kite and wind surfing and the water is clear. The hotel is new and the decoration is stunning We were in a superior double room and it’s quite spacious. good food in all the restaurants we tried and great service. While they do not have a dive center at the hotel, they do have a coordinator (Mohamed), who seriously helped make our stay even better by making all the necessary arrangements no matter what the constraints. Let’s just say he delivered in spades and frankly thank you. My wife and I loved everything about Steigenberger Ras Soma. Definitely recommend.

Einwöchiger Aufenthalt prima. Würden wieder ins gleiche Hotel. Kritik: Queenbett anstatt gewünschte Einzelbetten, harte Matratzen. Nächstes Mal Zimmer Richtung vorderster Pool ( sonniger Balkon und groesser )
Très bel hotel
Très bon hôtel, nous avons apprécié la plage, l’exclusivité des petites cabanes située en fond de plage permettant d’avoir beaucoup d’espace. Le service de la plage était exceptionnel, Romano a été au petit soin avec nous et nous apportez nos boissons parfois sans même qu’on les lui demande. Les piscine étaient bien chauffées et le bar dans la piscine est très appréciable. La nourriture est bonne et le choix est varié. Le seul bémol étant la chambre qui reste petite, la décoration est basique avec des meubles bois en contre-plaqué. C’est un immeuble tout en long d’un seul tenant avec un seul couloir desservant plus de 100 chambres donc ça manque de charme, c’est froid et c’est bruyant et ça aurait pu être plus dépaysant et découpé en petits immeubles avec couloirs “ouverts”. Nous avons trouvé le tarif de cet hôtel plutôt élevé en comparaison du steingenberger Alaya à Mars Alam dans lequel l’expérience a été similaire voir même au dessus pour certains aspects.

Sie hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub, tolles Essen, sehr liebes und freundliches Personal, schönes Hotel, schöner Strand zum schwimmen. Die Betten in den Zimmern sind total daneben, man wurde sehr schlecht über das Entertainment informiert, alle in dem Hotel waren krank (wundert mich nicht wegen Buffet, hat’s einer habens alle)
Over all, a wonderful vacation. Excellent service, esp. by Ibrahim and his crew in Restaurant Cabana as well as Islam in the main restaurant. There is just one sad remark - the main pools were too cold. Combined with the wind, present at all times at Soma Bay, the pool water simply was too cold for our little boy and he started freezing in the water after only a few minutes. As he just strted swimming this was a major negative point. Despite multiple complaints to the guest relations team and the pool crew, under no circumstances could management be persuaded to activate the existing pool heating. Numerous other guests also had the same issue with the water being too cold. That's why I can unfortunately only give 4 stars for the stay. The rest of the vacation would have earned 5 stars. Too bad.

Die Anlage, der Service, die Mitarbeiter alles war perfekt. Einziger Manko ist finde ich persönlich, dass für Babys/ Kleinkinder die Auswahl an Essen fehlt. Gut, dass wir alles dabei hatten.
Hotel hebt sich von allen bisher in Ägypten besuchten Hotels deutlich ab. Ist sehr ruhig und sauber. Essen ist sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Keine Massenabfertigung. Man kann a la carte-Restaurants - nach Anmeldung - beliebig häufig besuchen (lohnt sich). Wlan auf der gesamten Anlage (auch am Strand) gut verfügbar.
Hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen! Das Meer war so sauber und klar, das Personal so höflich und jeden Abend Unterhaltung für die Gäste 👍 Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder!
The resort is beautiful with amazing pools and restaurants. Interior design is spectacular and the staff at the restaurants, bar, and cleaning are very friendly! The only disadvantage was that they miss the small nice touches and gestures that are offered by other same Niveau hotels. You miss the generosity (like free upgrades and late checkout upon availability). You need to always ask to get something, like in other hotels we’ve been at, they would directly have a slipper and bathrobe for our little one ready in the room without having to ask for it. They miss the “attention to detail” that actually draws the customer back and back again. Also what was confusing is that they have a swimming pool which is fantastic for kids age 3 and below but in the same time, the kids club is actually for kids 4 and older, and sadly very poor offers, but then again The resort is honestly more adults oriented. Lastly, I’m surprised to see that Expedia is asking if I used the feature VIP access hotel, no one at reception even mentioned such a thing.. Sadly looks like the reception are not given power to be generous with customers and is mainly handled by the western management.

Bereits bei der Ankunft waren wir von der Anlage mehr als positiv überrascht. Das Personal inklusive Hotel-Chef haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir hatten die RoyalSuite gebucht-sehr großzügig geschnitten, mit kleinem Pool und tollem Garten. Hier war es einfach nur schön. Insgesamt ist die gesamte Anlage sehr sehr sauber und ordentlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit des gesamten Personals. Hier merkt man deutlich, dass sie ihre Arbeit sehr gerne machen. Solch ein hervorragendes Personal findet man nur sehr selten. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Vielen Dank für den perfekten Urlaub!
Super Hotel mit fantastischem Essen und einem hervorragenden Service. Besonders Helmy und Hashim waren immer gut gelaunt und stets sehr freundlich. Einzig und allein gestört hat mich, dass ein paar Zimmer weiter auf unserem Stock Renovierungsarbeiten stattgefunden haben und es streng nach Farbe roch. Man hatte uns am ersten Tag ein anderes Zimmer zur Wahl gegeben, allerdings gegen einen Aufpreis von 196 €. Hätte man auch anders lösen können, da das Hotel nicht ausgebucht war. Ich werde meinen nächsten Urlaub dennoch wieder im Ras Soma verbringen, da es unter dem Strich ein erstklassiges Hotel ist.

Das Hotel war super. Ich war schon in vielen Steigenberger Resorts aber dies übertrifft alle. Die Auswahl beim Essen hat mich leicht überfordert, wusste gar nicht wo anfangen. Also wer da nichts findet, dem ist nicht mehr zu Helfen. Meine Tochter hat Gluten und dies was herforragend beschildert. Auch die Zimmer, die Anlage und die à la Carte Restsurants waren einfach Spitze. Das einizg was uns sehr gestört hat, waren die Baustellen ums Hotel herum. Sm Strand war es den ganzen Tag lärmig. Vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub, wir kommen wider

Tolles Hotel, toller Service.
Ein wirklich tolles Hotel. Sämtliche Anlagen waren in tollem Zustand. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das all-inclusive Angebot ließ keine Wünsche offen - die Qualität von F&B war hervorragend. Es gibt nur drei Negativpunkte: Das Hotel füllt sämtliches Trinkwasser (laut eigener Angabe seit etwa 3 Monaten) über eine hauseigene Filteranlage ab. Alle Gäste sind diesem Wasser jetzt mehr oder weniger ausgeliefert. Es gibt kein Mineralwasser mehr in der gesamten Anlage - nur mehr dieses selbst gereinigte Leitungswasser. In einem 5-Sterne-Hotel sollte es dem Gast selbst überlassen werden, was er trinken möchte und was nicht. Die Nötigung hin zu diesem Wasser ist ausgesprochen unangenehm. Zweiter negativer Punkt sind die extrem rutschigen Böden in der gesamten Poolanlage. Speziell für Kinder sehr unangenehm. Während der ersten Tage unseres Aufenthalts war der Kinderpool unbeheizt (Apple Watch Temperatur 24 °C). Erst nach 2 Tagen und zahlreicher Beschwerden von Eltern konnte das Management erweicht werden, die Heizung wieder in Betrieb zu nehmen.
Schönes Familienhotel mit mehr Vor- als Nachteilen
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Steigenberger Ras Soma und würden wieder kommen. Folgendes haben wir geschätzt: Familienzimmer mit separatem Raum fürs Kinderbett, Familienzimmer im EG am Pool (Eltern am Pool, Kind im Zimmer am schlafen), Ausstattung und Einrichtung der Zimmer, schöne und grosse Lobby & Bar, Restaurantauswahl, Kinderprogramm, Sauberkeit, Weitläufigkeit der verschiedenen Bereiche, Kinderfreundlichkeit des Personals (Personal ist allgemein sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit), gepflegte und grüne Anlage. Folgendes hat uns gestört: Ringhörigkeit der Zimmer, laute Musik beschallt den Innenhof täglich bis 22.30 Uhr (teils sogar noch mit Feuerwerk), unser Zimmer war mehrmals voll mit Moskitos, Essen nur in Restaurants (hätten uns täglich Früchte und Snacks auch am Pool gewünscht), Online-Reservationssystem der Restaurants funktioniert nicht.

Uns hat der Stil der Anlage sehr gut gefallen! Sehr schönes Meer direkt vor der Haustür, tolle Pools und superschöne Chill-Out Möglichkeiten. Ausgesprochen stylische Anlage mit sehr freundlichem Personal! Die Auswahl in den Restaurants und dem Buffet-Restaurant waren geschmacklich sehr gut und auch reichlich Auswahl! Alles in allem, wir würden wieder kommen!

Es waren meine schönsten Ferien die ich jemals gemacht habe. Sehr empfehlenswert! werde ich bestimmt nochmals besuchen.
Es handelt sich um ein sehr gutes Hotel. Das Service Personal ist sehr bemüht. Der Urlaub war rundum sehr, sehr schön. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Man neigt gerne dazu negative Punkte zu finden. Die Betten sind sehr hart.
