It ok for a one night stay
It was an ok stay just for a night would not stay there again it's a little shady had broken furniture around the hotel
Very run down. Questionable cleaning or non there of. Could not fall asleep comfortably.
Very nice place
Everything
There was hairs in the towels.
Excellent service from the staff. Clean rooms.
It was okay. Too.much from the freeway. Not walkable. We did not get our refund for one night even though we left a note and talked to the hotel receptionist We left one day early because the Hurricane Beryl cut off all the power. We slept there for 2 nights without AC. Extremely hot. I wish the hotel will give us refund. Thanks.
Loved it
Exceeded expectations at every level I’d stay agin 10000%
Very nice for the price!
It’s a decent place to stay for a night
It was nice and quiet
It was nice but the dryer didnt work 😢
Place was good but was a bit noisy
It’s was nice and clean.
The ONLY not good part was dealing with noise because of how close it is to the highway and noisy other people staying there that night. You may want to buy earplugs to help you sleep better.
Everything was good. The bed was made but the sheet was stained, just slightly unclean feeling, but the room was great. No complaints otherwise.
Garbage piled up at stairs. Beat up furniture, no tv remote, hair on bathroom floor, roaches in the room. Looks good outside, but rooms are nasty. Do not recommend unless you can sanitize your room yourself.
Management needs to purchase new towels and washcloths. Very noisy due to the fact the hotel is located near the highway. Housekeeping needs to knock before entering the room. Please add do not disturb sign to each room.
A/C only worked on super cold or warm, keys stopped working on the weekends, only window access to talk to person on check in. Parking space small
Just OK
Rude staff. Check in was a nightmare
Convient
I get a room nve a week here love it very quiet
The service is ok but they need to purchase new towels and washcloths.
Great place to be
We stay here often rooms are very clean and nice for the pricewe finally got a room on first floor loved that we didnt have to go up the stairs with my luggage overall great stay will be back
It’s cool
Will not stay here ever again.
The lady checking us in wouldnt open the lobby so we could get out of the weather until we stated repeatedly that we couldnt hear her through the window speaker. It was only 6:30PM. The room was supposed to be non smoking but had the smell of smoke. The doors and curtains were extremely dirty and the smoke detector was missing. Didnt dare step barefoot on the floor or in the shower. If we could have received a refund we would have asked for it and found somewhere else to stay. I do not recommend this hotel for any stay.
Noisy, all kinds of conversations going on outside rooms. Had to check in through an outside window. Its was cold and raining and it wasn't even 10:00pm. Not sure why the lobby was closed.
Will not stay here ever again.

Very respectable and genuine people
Is not good for someone who has had surgery asked the lady if they had a eoom with rails in the bathtub and she said no which is odd u would think they would..rooms are clean but the toilet was leaking water but good area for dinning and shopping
Door does not close well can here everything going on outside
They put me in a handicap room and there was hair everywhere! In the sink, the shower and on the towels that were hanging up.
Exceptional
From the outside to the inside you get more than what you pay for, the best budget friendly hotel in the city simply exceptional
Clean, nice rooms, only complain is that the water didn’t put out warm water, had a hard time with the nozzle.
Great Privacy here 👍...
They’re very accommodating they keep it clean and always make me go at home
Not a nice place
I couldn't stay. I checked out immefiately. This should not be advertised as an hotel but a motel. The guy at reception did the check-in from behind closed doors, through a window, with me standing outside. The room had cockroaches, with dated decor. This should not be offered to international travellers not even worthy of 1 star. I forfeited the money i paid to go for a proper hotel. Now i know for next time to take reviews with a pinch of salt.
Everything is excellent
The check in clerk was not helpful. I was initially unable to produce a current driver’s license. ( it had just expired). I did have other photo I. D. but was told to call you and ask for refund. I did find the proper and current license to then check in. 4 other forms apparently didn’t work. I was frustrated, but never lost temper, although close.
Well priced and comfortable
Front desk staff was welcoming and very responsive. The king rooms we got have mini fridges, microwaves, and in-wall hairdryers. However, most do not work. The room has a nice layout. I wasn't bothered by not having a remote for the TV since I used the desk area and my laptop anyway. This is not a Marriott, but if you want a well priced, convenient, and comfortable place to rest, with responsive management, then this is a very good choice.
There was blood on the window curtain, a smashed bug on the floor, fruit flies, mold in the fridge, it smelled like smoke, and the couch was ripped up. I was traveling from florida and i was unable to go somewhere else because they charged my card and didnt want to refund me. They told me to have Expedia call them. I wasnt charged through Expedia. So if i wouldve gotten a refund they would have held my money for 7 to 10 business days and i would of had to find a different place to stay but since they held my money i couldnt. Was the worst experience ever. Please dont go to this place!
Was treated horribly and unfair
My service dog and my family and i were treated horribly. I was demanded to get my service dog back to my room right away and not to walk my sevice dog with me which i am to have my service dog with me to help me get around incase i loose my balance. I am going blind plus i have issues with balance and the lady in the office started yelling at me at the window and then when she came around to the side door outside to give me the cold drink that i bought started screaming at me to get my dog away and back in the room at once. I am a disabled woman and should have never been treated this way.
Quiet
Travels Beware
Not a Traveler Friendly Hotel. No access to the lobby, you must go to a small walk-up window. Since the hotel is right off of a busy freeway (I-45) you can barely hear what they are trying to say. Not sure what the purpose of making your guest stand outside in the cold instead of allowing access to the lobby. No heat in the room, had to get a space heater that required an additional $20 Cash Deposit. Room was not very clean especially the bathroom. Hair in shower and floors, hole in bathroom door. Faucet not attached properly. Property looked much better in the pictures than what it actually was.
This place is amazing!!
The Scottish Inn is amazing! I have stayed at this location multiple times. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The service is wonderful and the price is very budget friendly. They have very reasonable weekly rates at well. If you are in the spring area and are looking for a place to stay…..give the Scottish Inn a try!
The palace have roachs and bugs dirty place
Nasty!!!!bug infested!!
This hotel is infested with roaches!! They refused to give us a refund changed our room after showing us two others that as she was showing us the bugs were viable!! Then when she did show us one that was not full of bugs this room was dirty it actually had what looked to be blood on the bathroom floor
I liked that it was chill.
The room was dirty, no heat, and employees would not help or give me another room. Smoke detectors were covered with a plastic bag, and sprinkler heads were painted. I have pictures of the smoke detector and sprinklers.
Terrible experience. Manager was visibly annoyed when I reported that my hot water wasn’t working, TV was frozen on one channel, toilet leaked water from underneath onto the floor and heater wasn’t working. I asked for a different room and was refused. Was told there was nothing that could be done. Hotel was maybe at half capacity. Reported to Travelocity and the manager denied she even talked to me. I had video of all the issues I am reporting them to the Board of Health. Absolutely disgusting place and terrible management. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!
Give this place a shot!! You won’t regret it!!
I have stayed here on different occasions. The hotel is always clean, the staff is friendly and efficient. It’s been the reason that I keep returning for another stay. The showers are great and the ac and heat have been excellent in the rooms! They are accommodating and the price is amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel for your future stays.
Excellent for the cost.
Everything was over all good. It had all I needed. I was hoping for breakfast but it was not a deal breaker. The property and room were immaculate! I would definitely recommend my friends or colleagues to stay there.
Great Stay
The front desk was extremely nice and accommodating. They had me booked for an upstairs room and I asked if they could put me in a downstairs; without hesitation she switched me downstairs.
I had an issue with double booking my stay. On accident I booked the room I have been staying in on Expedia but not realizing it I booked 2 days that had already been paid for at the property. Expedia was very helpful and tried their hardest to fix the situation. The hotel on the other hand was not at all helpful. Rather rude. Even though my room had already been paid for for 4 nights and 2 of those nights paid for twice, the employee banged on my door and told me that I had 20 mins to fix the issue or get out. I called Expedia back again & they reached out to the hotel to find a solution. The only solution the hotel would allow was to cancel my paid reservation which was $260 & pay for a new one. Which I could not afford until the money went back on my card. So, the only option I had left was to pay for today the 1st again. Which by the way instead of the $53 a night I booked, now became $73. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
It was clean
Polite staff and clean room.
The door wouldn’t open initially with the key but once it was opened it was fine.
Secure location. Pool empty. Average for reasonable price. Ok for a quick stay.
😊
I do not ever leave reviews but felt that I needed to leave one for this place. First started with a call from the hotel to verify my stay about 2 1/2 hours after check in time. I have never had a hotel do this, even when I cheked in several hours after check in time. Upon arrival the lobby was closed. I had to check in through a small window at around 5:30 in the afternoon, guessing this is where after hour check in happens? There was a few people outside in the area of the parking lot with the bbq pits which seemed kind of sketchy. The room itself seemed clean but tv remote wasn't even the remote for a tv but what seemed to be a dvd remote with rusty batteries. Was awoken at 1AM by a random woman who knocked on the door not once but twice and when I looked out the door, she had left. I looked out the window and there was a man BBQing??? Who makes BBQ at 1 in the morning? I would not stay here again, too many questionable people hanging around. When checking out, the lobby was still closed-don't know if it is ever open. Seems odd that a hotel does not have a lobby that someone staying there can't enter. I was with my children and my daugther told me the next day that the hotel made her feel unsafe.
The property is very unprofessional and hire people that don’t speak English. They will walk in your room without your permission. Then I was told I had leave because I left a bad comment. So here we go. I never left a bad comment. I’m new to Houston Texas area and I have dealt with this hotel due to the location where I’m moving till my house it’s ready. The front guy in offices is Pervert vibes and the housekeeper is very rude and also say” I don’t know English “and she does. Plus the old lady that walks around is very rude and always peeping in your room. The young girl in front offices tell me if I book online I didn’t have come out my room to front offices; that was a lie. The property don’t look like the pictures on the website. Plus my room was without a smoke alarm the whole time I was at the hotel. They TV signal and Wi-Fi is very bad. You watch tv and then it will black out on you. The tub need to be fixed, when they know kids stay at this hotel. I dealt with all the drama while I was there to make sure my family had a place laid their head. Remind you I invested my money from Aprilto June and was ask to leave because my bf went off about all the disrespectful thing that went on here. But they told me because of my bad review. Only review I left was that someone walk in my hotel room. I double booked by mistake still yet too get those funds back yet. India people here don’t care for black people. They rather pay Hispanic woman to work and pay them Under the table.
Highway
Very clean nice hotel but it's right on the side of Highway 45 if you're a light sleeper like myself hard to sleep traffic all night but a very clean place for one night it's okay
I booked the hotel, because it advertised breakfast. When I checked in I was told there was no breakfast. Also the property is badly kept up. It's very noisy, and not safe
This stay was the WORST experience I've ever had at a motel. Extremely noisy, no electricity, filthy and service was extremely rude.
I don’t like when they walk in my room without knocking. Plus I had a no disturb sign on door.
I don’t know how this property is rated 8/10 in Expedia. This property is actually owned by Econo Lodge(My card was charged with the same). This is definitely not for families. PROS The only good thing about this property,( if you’re traveling alone) is that it’s good for the pockets. CONS 1) There is no check in desk. The check in is basically what you do in a cinema hall - They speak on the mike from inside and you pass on your card and ID through a small opening at the bottom. 2) Almost all rooms are smoking rooms. Or at least the smoke seeps through other rooms. We changed 3 rooms and at the end had to accept the one that smelled the least of cigarettes. The receptionist acted like we were at fault by trying to breathe too much and behaved it’s a pretty normal smell. 3) Almost 5 minutes after checking in, we spotted cockroaches that would run away and hide behind the small cracks in the walls. 4) No breakfast is served, but is advertised in Expedia. Not sure it’s property’s fault or the Expedia’s. ( To Expedia’s credit, they gave me a few points to compensate the lack of BF) It is at most 4/10 property( I AM being generous here)
The ad on Expedia stated they provide a continental breakfast. They did not. They lobby doors were never unlocked I had to use the outside window and had to wait an average of 5 minutes from someone to come to the window. Overall the rooms were clean and comfortable however the service provided by the staff was lacking. As for me I will choose a different property to stay at on my future stays in Spring TX. Clean and staff was very helpful
Clean polite
Pluses and minuses
Ok so like everyone else, listing free breakfast and then not providing it, is not cool. People travel on budgets. So please be considerate of that. I would also add that the pillows were ready to throw away they were so flat and not enough towels I. The room. However, my overall experience of the hotel was good. The rooms are well maintained and have everything one would need. I would stay here again.
The whole experience was ok I was just dissatisfied that they didn’t offer breakfast as advertised
Good Staff
Price it’s a budget hotel. Clean enough for a good night’s sleep.
Hostess bad service
Guest smoking weed outside their rooms. It seeping into your room from guest rooms. Guest always fighting and yelling, loud music being played from cars with no respect to other guest.
Great staff, cleaning staff very quick and efficient. Young lady in the front office have a great smile and very professional, give motel a very beautiful look and personality
Hotel was bad....!!!
I tried to check in ,they had the lobby locked up and Red sticker on the door saying something from the county that they were under the wrong name. Girl in the window and speaker was not very nice. Room was OK, except for the people yelling at each other about who knows what at 0300AM. Cable was almost all Spanish channels, coke machine and ice machine were out of order. Will know better than to stay here again. Hotels.com needs to check the places out before giving them a descent review. I was not happy at all not getting much sleep for 2 days. Only good thing was the bed seemed comfortable.
Nothing
All good!! Young lady is very fast and professional. Very pleasant to talk with
Overall decent. Noisy at night.
Staff was very good, female was friendly and very fast in getting me registered in before time. She had a great attitude and very professional
So much for "Hotels.com" reservation.
Hotel was not up to par. A little short on some things, soap, lots of long hair on blanket, bed not well made. No breakfast available No decaf coffee. Reserved through "Hotels.com". Got confirmation number. Hotel had NO record of reservation. Double billed. Billed by Hotels.com & Econo Lodge (??) on credit card. Had to try to speak to clerk through a extremely bad speaker system. Impossible to communicate.
Staff at the window, she was very helpful and fast
place sucked, never again
1. I called the hotel directly to book and was told I had to do it online thru something like Bookings.com 2. Hotel is next to a loud and busy Interstate Hwy - should have told me this up front before I booked. 3. When I tried to checkin it was not possible to go inside to do checking. Instead I had to stand outside and speak thru a slot in the window - while loud traffic in background made it very difficut to hear. This is not a temp thing there. 4. No breakfast was available though the website said so. 5. The next day I tried to book another night while I was at the hotel and was told it was cheaper to book online. So I did, and the booking .com charged me $15 more that the hotel did. 6. there was no Guide to the TV and it was mostly grainy analog pictures.
Male front desk staff was great. Young female and owner was not so good
First unit was dirty. Staff seemed reluctant to give is another unit, but they eventually complied.
Breakfast was listed as included but no breakfast due to Covid. Then I expected a discount or at least take away. Choose this over another because of breakfast included. Changed my whole attitude. Oh,well.
Not providing breakfast, room smell bad.
Underwhelming
The first room the hotel put us in reeked of marijuana. We asked to change rooms and they did accommodate, and It was better. There were kids running back and forth upstairs. It appeared as they "lived" there. Also, you could hear the sounds of the interstate through the door, even with TV and AC on. It was hard to sleep. They advertise on website to offer free breakfast, but the hotel has a sign and told me at check-in that they do not offer it due to Covid.
Not worth the money
We paid for breakfast and they don’t even offer it. Waste of money. Price should reflect the true amenities(which is none).
You need to update your information on Expedia. I clicked BREAKFAST INCLUDED on there website and your hotel comes up as 1 that included breakfast. I have to arrive there to find out that you haven't included breakfast in 2 years. It's time to update your information on Expedia
Second Home
Only issue is no continental breakfast that they have advertised. Aside from that the place is peaceful and staff are very accommodating
Tv didn't work in the first room we where put in. The next room had hair in the beds and no outlets in bathroom worked. Only had towels for one day in room and when we came back that evening nothing had been cleaned and so we left. The only good thing you could say was it was close to our venue.
I deeply regret why i picked up this motel. Frankly, from the checking in to the check out every moment I spent there was regrettable. Set up is archaic, tv not working, customer service is THE WORST EVER. I would NEVER RECOMMENDED this place!
Smelled of urine
The bathroom smelled of urine, the tub had mold & the kitchenette had crumbs & remnants from the last person all over the counter. I had to buy bleach and lysol to clean myself.
Nice surprise, it had a kitchenette with full size refrigerator.
Check-in was awkward--outside through a window with freeway traffic making it hard to hear. If I didn't have a reservation I don't know if I could have asked about a room and heard answers. The room was nice and mostly clean. But some things were missing -- no chair for the desk, no cups for the coffee machine, and no remote for the tv. The bed was too hard for my wife. The hot tub worked great.
