The property was dirty; the faucet was broken, the linen was dirty when I arrived in the room, and I even found animal poop on the carpet.
Basic stay, room was clean bed was comfortable. If you are just looking for a decent place to lay your head or just get away this place is it
Your website described "in room microwave", BUT this hotel never had "In room Microwave" ever!! and, some kind of bath towel feel used? and wet when I chekced in Room. also, Bath tub stopper compleetly broken.. Check in employee always talking personal call during working hour...
Love the location
This property reminds me of a low-cost airline. The lady at the check-in desk was rude. She told me that they would charge me $25 upfront for anything I might buy and then it would be refunded later if I didn’t buy anything. Turns out that was just a hold, but she had no idea what she was talking about. The walls are thin, the property is dated. The people are trained very well and the breakfast is barely adequate. If these things don’t matter to you and you just want a cheap hotel, then it does rate above a roadside motel, but just barely.
Overall it was nice and comfortable. Breakfast isnt great much but it's there. Good location close to the airport.
Less than expected.
A parking fee was implemented after my reservation was made and there was no notification of such prior to arrival. The room had no coffee maker, no cups, no ice bucket. At check-in I was not informed of morning breakfast hours, nor of any WI-FI service, if any.
The hotel was nice and clean. It is pet friendly . It was close to where we was going.
I have read other reviews that say, "you get what you pay for", and they were right. The service was very good from check in to check out, the ladies at the front desk were top notch. This place is good for a one- or two-night stay but you don't want to stay a week. It could be a little cleaner in the hallways, I saw little bits of trash everywhere. And when they say pet friendly, they mean it. The person next door let their dog bark nonstop until maintenance put a stop to it. Comfortable beds, bathroom fixture are dated. Room 231 I stayed in had plenty of hot water, room 305 had barely luke warm. Would I stay again?Yes, you are getting a decent price just know you will be getting what you paid for.
Room was clean but the hallways had a real bad smell
Convenient location, walking distance to La Cantera Shopping Center, 5-min drive to Six Flags.
The breakfast is all plain bagels or peach yogurt. Nothing else. Next door is a Whataburger if you want a more filling start to your day.
Had to change rooms at 3am due to bed bugs.
Bathroom cleanliness not good
The room was OK but the bathroom was terrible. The tub was filled with some fie dirt and it took me 15 minutes to clean enough to take a shower in it. The sink faucet was at least 50% clogged so the little bit of water squirted out almost like a weak spray
You get what you pay for.
Oh my. I’m not sure why this place had such a high rating. This is not up to Hilton standards by any means. Our room was not clean. Our toilet didn’t work. My husband had to take the top off and manually make it flush every time. The coffee was empty in the morning and the morning staff was not helpful. To be fair, we got what we paid for, but the rating on this place needs to be much lower.
Property was very convenient to get to and navigate the roads around the hotel, there were many restaurants within walking distant
Property is convenient to Six Flags, UTSA, plenty of shopping and dining. Was surprised to have to pay for parking and a $50 deposit with credit card on file. Room covered by new paint and furnishings but you could tell it was a bandaid as the bathroom fixtures were old, dingy, and tiles cracked. Lobby bathroom had no toilet tissue or paper towels two days in a row. Was surprised this was a Hilton. If you have the choice and rooms are available, stay at the Tru by Hilton across I-10 at The Rim.
D
Bed was a little rough and breakfast was ok just bagels and coffee and orange juice and yogurt was not my kind of breakfast
Worst Management
They are worst ones. Just wanted to make money and don’t care about your experience
They can work on their breakfast menu
Very close to UTSA
Business trip
Stayed a few days on business. Staff was friendly, place was clean and parking was visible.
The room was clean, and the receptionist was very friendly.
Great stay - super close to Six Flags, which is exactly what we were looking for!
Parking was advertised as free on Expedia. When I got there they charged me for parking. Tub was missing pop up, fan in bathroom wasn’t working, and garbage piled up around the outside can all weekend. Breakfast wasn’t a breakfast, it was a bagel, muffin, and yogurt.
Noisy lobby. Staff needs training.
This stay was terrible
Not a friendly staff , limited items , poor hygiene
Over all good stay
Wifi isnt free unless you join hilton honors. Its pretty clean inside.
This hotel is RIGHT next to Six Flags. We went during a more "off season" time. The room was large and very open. There's no hallway type area when you walk in. Our fridge didn't work and they have a policy that they can't move them from room to room. Once we unpacked we were offered another room which we declined. It was easy to hear everything in the hallway. For the price it was fine. The really cool thing is that our room on floor 6? was straight on to the fireworks show at Six Flags. You might want to call ahead to see if you can reserve a room for the show.
They charge $4 per night for parking. Front office staff indicated that they have security on site. We did not see any security the three days we were there. In addition, their site did not specify these additional charges.
Very close to UTSA
Great place for the price. Location to 6 flags and restaurants and shopping was great! The free breakfast was just bagels and muffins and coffee and juices so keep that in mind but coffee was always available. Friendly staff.
Excellent staff
Excelent staff
Good for the price
Sort of older hotel but very clean. Breakfast is only a bagel bar and some yogurts so be prepared. No cups, ice bucket or pens in the room (if you’re into that kind of thing).
Loved everything about this property and the service! Super clean super nice! Great price!
One of the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed.
Very professional staff and service.
Solo trip
Very nice clean place will Definitely go back again. Very affordable as well!
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for something affordable as well as quiet. Also, I liked their TV options of live cable or using a streaming app.
Ok; Not as high quality as other Hilton hotels
Front desk staff was super friendly and check-in was a breeze. Breakfast was very disappointing. They only had bagels, bread, and muffins. No waffles. No pancakes. No sausage or bacon. No cereal. It was very MINIMAL. Rooms were okay, but the hotel shows its age. Lacks amenities like a gym. I'm more disappointed with Hotels.com customer care.
Location was great.
Noisy, dirty, limited options for buffet
Great
The View Is Everything
Elizabeth in the front desk in Excellent. The view from the 4th floor to Six Flags and 1604 & 10 are breathtaking.
The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. I didn't like seeing cigarette butts in the grass ( A lot)
They only made of two of our beds, had a fridge but no microwave, the free breakfast was literally a bagel, a muffin, or a small yogurt. Disappointed.
This is not typical place to stay. I tried something new and though, it wasn’t to bad, my plan to is go back to my normal place. The owner walked in, and as we were in the breakfast area me and several others he was looking as if we shouldn’t have been there, instead of a hello, thank you for choosing us as we know you could’ve stayed anywhere else. It was just awkward! I didn’t like that there is only one microwave servicing an entire hotel- at least put a microwave, one per floor. Going back and forth from the 4th to 1rst floor just to warm something or get hot water is diabolical! The other staff were very nice though, I really appreciated Tizoc customer service.
Not too bad for the price
Room was fine. Overall, the stay was fine. Could tell that the property is older. Breakfast was very minimal. Bagels & yogurt was pretty much all they had. OJ and apple juice tasted watered down.
Very nice
Overall good
Nice hotel near family’s house.
Clean hotel and best price for a good hotel. Definitely recommend and coming back when I visit San Antonio.
Nice
Amazing stay!
Stay was great, only down part was, there was no breakfast available innthe morning
Disappointed and dissatisfied
The hotels.com website said that the room would have a microwave and that is not true. Spark does not have microwaves in the rooms, the only one is in the lobby. Also the bathroom was not clean or stocked. Went to take a shower and found long black hair on the shower wall. The shampoo was empty that was in the shower. Will not stay at a Spark by Hilton again.
Clean stay
Truly enjoyed the stay. Clean rooms hot water pet friendly. Very polite staff definitely stay there again plus it is right across UTSA where my daughter attends
Hi I found bed bugs had to look for another hotel almost midnight on Saturday night so it was a nightmare . How can I get my refund the manager claims that I need to talk to someone with hotels com. Help
Breakfast is not satisfactory. and the bathroom is not equipped with a ventilation system.
Muy buen personal y buenas instalaciones, todo muy limpio y hotel muy nuevo también.
Among all the other peer hotels in this category, Hilton’s spark was the least likable concept in all the sense. Looked more comparable to studio 6 and other inns, however it had the nice lobby and dining area and inward facing rooms, but the room, bathroom and breakfast options and overall vibe was not 2.5 or 3 star like. The manager and other staff was very kind and supportive, but the concept of this confusing economy category did not work for me even for a short night stay. Will likely stick to holiday inn and springhills
The room had comfortable beds. The bathroom had no vent and the room was humid. No coffee maker but did have a fridge. The building should do some upgrades for their price point. The breakfast was a bagel bar with some muffins and yogurt. It would be a solid 2 star hotel if they kept up with what they had but the highest I would give them is 1.5 stars. For the price I can safely say will not stay there again when I visit San Antonio. I will spent more and stay elsewhere.
Everything here was so dirty. I found hair in the bathtub. There was stuff all over the floor in the hallways and my room. It looked like it had never seen a vacuum. I slept on top of the blankets with all my clothes on and with the lights on because I was terrified of what might come crawling out if I turned the lights off. Everything smelled musty. It looks like someone had previously tried to break into the room as there was a hole in the wall. Overall terrible experience, would not recommend.
The breakfast terrible and no microwave
The room is clean that I like. But no microwave and coffee maker in the room. Breakfast should be improve, orange juice and apple juice mixed with water, taste so blank .. so cheap for a hotel like this. House keeping should clean the room in the afternoon. Before 9 o’clock in the morning they stared to knock people room to ask if we need service… it’s not even 9 o’clock, this is a vacation, what in the world they have to bother the guest that early???? Their laundry machine are soooooo freaking loud like a monster truck running. The only thing I was happy is the room clean , but for the stay is not comfortable at all.
Good
Good place to stay
Breakfast was terrible but the staff was wonderful
It was a great location for anything you wanted to do and close to Fiesta Texas. My only complaint was the bagel bar. The juices were concentrated and not mixed, then when the lady fixed it, she put too much water, so it was just colored water. But there’s a Whatsburger across the street! But I would definitely stay again!
Could Improve
It was a great price, economical, and near La Cantera. The only thing we were disappointed in was that there was no body wash in the shower. They offered two conditioner bottles and 1 shampoo bottle. We had to wash with the small bath bar. I have a photo but the app is not allowing me to upload it.
Wonderful experience
It was a wonderful experience to stay overnight.
Reasonable price for what you got
No room was available for me. They had all been given away by 11pm (perhaps earlier, but the night clerk with whom I spoke came on at 11pm and said all rooms were already gone when he came on duty). Hilton customer service blamed me making a reservation via a 3rd party (aka Travelocity), but that is no excuse for my room to not be available for me when I arrived before midnight. I suggest your company work with Hilton to improve this behavior. They are encouraging customers to make reservations only via Hilton (not Travelocity) with their behavior.
I will be back, thanks.
Overbooked Us
Terrible. Hotel was overbooked, hotel did not have a room for us despite us having a paid reservation. We were still charged the night even though we were unable to stay here.
Comfortable beds
Unsanitary Conditions During Stay
Unsanitary Conditions During Stay I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at one of your hotels in San Antonio during Christmas. My family and I chose Hilton because of its reputation for quality and cleanliness, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. I traveled to San Antonio to celebrate Christmas with my son’s family, who recently moved there. My family and I decided to stay one night at your hotel (we live in Austin) to avoid driving back late at night. Before heading to my son’s house, we checked in and collected our room key at the hotel. After the Christmas party, we returned to the hotel to rest. Upon entering the lobby, we were impressed by how clean and inviting everything appeared. However, the experience took a disappointing turn when we went up to our room. Everything seemed fine until I inspected the bathroom. To my shock and disgust, I noticed feces on the left side of the toilet bowl when I lifted the lid. I tried to confirm what I was seeing and used a wipe to remove the residue. The experience was extremely upsetting, and I have never encountered anything like it during previous hotel stays. The situation made me question the hotel’s cleaning standards, ruining my night. I was so uncomfortable that I covered the toilet lid with towels and waited until the next day to leave.
Good review
The location is perfect – close to major attractions yet peaceful enough for a good night's rest. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The hotel facilities, especially the [mention standout facilities like pool, spa, or gym], were top-notch and well-maintained.
Perfect ubication.
We've stayed several times at this property and each time we stay we've have always walked into a clean room and haven't had any maintenance issues. The front desk staff is always polite and efficient. The location is perfect for our needs. Would highly recommend.
Things That Make You Go Hmmm
Yea, don't let the name Hilton fool you. This place is bad. For one, they charge you $25 for incidentals, but if you try and get some snacks they charge you separately. So what is the incidentals for??? At about 11:30 pm, 2 men were knocking on our door and trying to open it. Don't stay here. Pay the extra money to go somewhere else.
It was an amazing stay. Thank you so much we would definitely recommend it!
Tiny property
The lobby is updated and nice. The rooms not so much. They allow pets and our room smelled terribly of dog/cat pee.
Rooms had no closet space and breakfast was low budget
Just what I needed
Restful and comfortable stay, thank you!
Cleanliness
It was close the park and everything was nearby
Always a pleasant stay.
This is my second time staying here. Very nice clean attractive lobby and breakfast area. Clean comfortable rooms. The rooms are very spacious. Also always within my budget. Friendly staff.
Amazing experience
Saw the fireworks from six flags from our window
This hotel s extremely close and when you are leaving the park, it is opposite of traffic so you are there quickly. There is a fast food restaurant right next door which helped with dinner. We were able to see the fireworks from Six Flags out of our window. La Canterra is just on the other side of the highway. Breakfast was basic muffins and bagels. We loved staying here. Will stay here again.
Nothing. They kept some of my money. Their was pubic hair around toilet seat. Shower was dirty.
There were bugs that would come out time at times.the phone to call the operator had wires completely out . Place smelled very bad only stayed there because it was close to visit my daughter at UTSA. I would recommend cleaning the place up
Miguel at the front desk is very nice and helpful.
Great stay
Spark By Hilton San Antonio Northwest near Six Flags | Hotel in San Antonio | Travala.com
The rate per night and the location were the selling point for our short stay in San Antonio. We got lucky and it was quiet during our stay. The property charges $4 per night for parking, which was unusual for this type of hotel chain and was not indicated when booking the reservation. The room was clean but bathrooms were dated and in need of an upgrade.
