We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Being a family of four, staff was very accomodating to our needs. The executive suite was wonderful suited our needs perfectly. Dining in the restaurant was convenient when needed and the food was tasty. Location was fine if you dont mind a 10-15 minute walk to the underground. We had a wonderful stay in London.
Great
Good stay, poor check in
It was a comfortable stay and the breakfast staff were very friendly. However check in was very poor and took a very long time. We were also given the wrong floor number. Having checked in online as instructed to do so, I was hoping for a quicker check in process. Perhaps it was a lack of staff? The lady did seem stressed. The shower wasn’t particularly clean either.
I loved that we booked two rooms and the hotel facilitated our group with adjoining rooms. Very nice hotel and in a quiet area
Nice room. Good shower and comfy bed. Staff all nice. Food good.
Nice everything close
See-through mirrors (both ways) in shower
The only issue was the bathroom configuration: there is no separate bathroom. Both shower and toilet are in the bedroom and sink too. As a result, the toilet has no proper door, it has a thin mirror in its stead which is not acoustically designed to give any privacy. The shower is also very intrusive. Surrounded by see-through (both ways) mirrors all the way around, you literally have no privacy from anyone else in the room whilst showering as you can be seen from any angle in the bedroom. Unless you shower in complete darkness, which you might end up doing if the other person is still sleeping and you don’t want to flood the bedroom and bathroom with light. For us it was not a major issue but it would definitely make us think twice about booking there again.
Good location convenient underground parking onsite
Stayed here with the kids over Christmas and we had a lovely time. Facilities were clean and everything worked perfectly including the shower, fridge and chrome cast on the TV which made our stay much more comfortable than we’ve been at some other well known hotels. Room service was completed daily. Parking was easy to pre-book, plus it’s secured underground. The location was really good as the kids and I took frequent short walks and getting into the main tourist areas of central London was just two or three bus stops away. The whole experience was just stress free and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this hotel the next time we visit London.
Clean and pleasant staff
Shower drained so slow plugged so bathroom floor floods. Pathetic everyone must complain but it never gets fixed.
Great option
Great location, wonderful service and amazing breakfast including a range of vegan and gluten free options!
Very good
Great stay!
Wonderful place to stay! My only negative is due to the fact that we had four people and the room was on the smaller side. We knew this going in so it wasn’t a big issue.
Great staff
Great stay, staff were super helpful
Perfectly located with lots of eating options around. Walking distance to the tower of London.
Decent stay
Exceptional stay! Wonderful staff, friendly and attentive. Room was immaculately clean and cozy. Felt very safe and secure. The hotel's restaurants served delicious food, exceeding my expectations. Highly recommend for outstanding service, pristine accommodations, and great dining.
TERRIBLE! Stay away from this property. We found bedbugs in our room (the hotel even confirmed that it was a bedbug) and the hotel did nothing except offer to move our room. Not even an apology. On the contrary- they tried to blame us!! They stated that there was “no way” that it could’ve come from their hotel. The rooms were worn down and they wouldn’t refill toilet paper or hand soap. Terrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid this place at all cost. However I will say it was ideally located and they had a water bottle fill station which was nice.
It was nice but very expensive!!
.
Nr London eye and various eating establishments also bus and Uber links. A great hotel only the evening food is poor. Had a lasagne with no meat
Good
Nice place
Great service, the room was in 5th floor, very nive and confortable, breakfast good, near to Big Ben, London Eye, river. In front of the hotel bus stop. Definitive I recomendend it. Thank you!!
Great location. Great service
Great location, great breakfast, nice staff. Will stay again!
Close to major sight seeing
Not great
Hotel is tired (compared to other no items in London we have stayed in), toilets in public areas no clean and the decor in the room was poorly maintained. Reception staff were polite and helpful, restaurant delivered poor service. We chose to eat in the hotel on our first night. Restaurant was quiet, but it took an age for anyone to take our order. Ordered a child’s meal, asked if they could swap juice for milk, was told no (what restaurant doesn’t give milk as an option for a child’s drink or offer some flexibility), was told I had to order child dessert at the same time as the rest of the food and not decide after the main! Childs starter came out with the other main meals, not before. Asked for ketchup and mayo, had to pay £1.50 each for each small jar. Asked for vinegar, and got presented with a bowl of it… very random. We were asked for room number on arrival at restaurant for the bill to be added, only to be shouted at when we started to leave having not paid. The family room we booked had the sofa bed made to a double, not 2 singles. Reception were quick enough to get us 2 duvets for the first night, only for housekeeping to put it back to a double the second night! Towels were changed after first night, normal practice to only change if they’re not hung up. Breakfast was ok, supplies not replenished very quickly, at times no plates in sight, no juice, no bread, and half the hot food missing. But there was however a bowl of ketchup to help yourself too!!
American traveler review- Convenient property to Big Ben/ parliament. Just across the bridge, about a 10 min walk. Not a lot of restaurants or conveniences in the immediate area. Hotel serves breakfast. Shower and bathroom doors supposed to be mirrored, but can see through them. No laundry room on site, but you can pay to have the hotel do it. Beds were comfortable, hotel and room rooms are clean. But if I were a tourist looking for a hotel close to the sites, there are others more convenient.
Nice rooms with great bathrooms. Bar and restaurant on main level and located near all the big attractions
Comfortable
Staff is friendly. Room is comfortable with a nice view.
Good spot. Daily room clean was good.
Hhh
Great location! Easy access to transportation and walking to major areas of London!
Was very surprised at the room size and standard. Very pleased with the hotel over all.
It is very good place for family
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great, just a block over from the main street where you can walk to Big Ben and the London Eye. From there you can choose different transportation options. Room was clean and comfy. Would highly recommend.
Girls trip
Great location to explore this side of town. Friendly staff.
Liked the hotel. Staff was friendly.
The service
The rooms are very small and the sink is in the middle of the room and very shallow when you wash your hands To the point your handS Touch the bottom of the sink every time you wash your hand
We loved our stay at Novotel Waterloo. The staff were great and welcoming.
Hotel was clean, everyone was friendly. The only issue I take with the hotel is the they did not have much food options and there no resturants close by.
The beds were amazing and the staff super friendly.
Good hotel, very good breakfast and convenient location
Very nice!
Walking distance to tourist’s locations.
Good for families.
The hotel is very quiet.
Awesome location. Staff was great!
Excellent hotel. Great on every level. We had such a great experience I was eager to leave this review.
Staff extremely helpful. Very quiet and clean atmosphere.
Wonderful stay and experience
Wonderful location. Hotel lobby is spacious and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and very helpful! Our room was not ready when we arrived (930am) but, the hotel stored our luggage and showed us where the restrooms were to freshen up after a long flight. We walked from the hotel to Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, area gardens and then made a long trek through Piccadilly to a bakery for a pastry my daughter saw on Tiktok. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. We had 2 adults and 2 children and our room had a king bed and full sized sofa bed. The room was clean and beds comfortable. We purchased the breakfast option and enjoyed a fresh and filling breakfast prior to catching an Uber to our cruise port.
Breakfast was really good. Enjoyed the location.
One night stay
Very clean, spacious room, comfortable beds, and a fridge!!!! Luggage storage was a huge bonus too. Great location
It was close to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Clean and quiet neighbourhood. Staff was extremely helpful.
Very unsanitary hotel
Moldy showers and very unsanitary. Requested it to be cleaned but nothing was done about it
Good location for central London.
Not ideal
Booked a room for 4… only 3 beds. Rang reception and was told they were on their break so could I wait. Had young children to get into bed so not ideal. Eventually sent someone with bedding but no duvet..
A bit run down but overall good. The kids play area was disappointing. Breakfast was OK. The room was clean. Most of the staff were very polite. It was fine.
Everyone at the hotel was wonderful! Front desk ladies, Precious and Aleea were so personable and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable… Anna the front desk and room services manager went above and beyond to make our stay perfect after a minor hiccup with our reservation upon our arrival. All in all we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wondrrguk hotel in London!!!
Very lovely and clean room, thank you!
Location. Food was okay.
Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was conveniently place for us to walk to local tourist spots. Tube station is a 5-10 min walk away.
Location is perfect for sightseeing catching a bus. The hotel seemed to beunderstaffed, but friendly. The bar and restaurant close too early in the evening. The rooms are clean. The morning guest breakfast is pricey and crowded and again, closes early.. so get up early if you plan on eating.
I like this apartment because it is conveniently located, feels safer, and is more comprehensive.
Arrived Easter Sunday. Check in was a breeze, lady at the front desk was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Around 8pm, called the reception to ask for complimentary water, if available, the guy who answered was rude and told us that the room we booked didn’t include free water. It would’ve been just ok if he told us nicely but it sounded like he’s intimidating us for booking a basic room. Other cons for this hotel are: 1.) It’s nowhere near the Waterloo Station, therefore should not be named Novotel Waterloo. Novotel Lambeth Palace would be appropriate. 2.) Sink and shower are always clogged. You have wait for at least 30 minutes before you can use them again, otherwise it will overflow/flood. 3.) Bedside USB is useless/not working. 4.) Too many noisy kids running in the hallway and the floor above us. 5.) Breakfast area is very small so the line to get a table is very long every morning. You have to go early to avoid the line. We didn’t know the first time so it took us an hour to have breakfast which would’ve been just 20 minutes. 6.) Very few walkable restaurants, have to order delivery most of the time. Overall not recommended! Premier Inn would’ve been better for half the price.
TV is missing Netflix. Not many USB charging plug, hope to see these improvements
We loved our stay at this hotel. We had never been to London and didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff is SUPERB! Very kind and helpful. No concierge, but they are willing to help. Location is nice. A bus stop is right outside. There is also a convenience store within a 5 minute walk. Now for the down side - the restaurant is not good. At all. Eat somewhere else if you can. Bring food for breakfast. There aren’t any options near the hotel. And - the temperature in our room - we could not get it cool enough. There seems to be a lock that does not permit you to cool the room down below a certain temperature.
Perfect for a 5 day stay to explore the city! Safe, convenient with 2 great coffee shops nearby.
The staff are wonderful
Great location.
It was close to many London tourist attractions
Overall it was a great experience. First time in London and Novotel was a great option for my family. We enjoyed our stayed! The staff was great from the minute we walked in. They have great options from breakfast and dinner as well. Thanks,
It was just great!
Walking distance from many of the major sites. Clean, professional.
Near to attractions
I LOVE LOVE THIS HOTEL!
Very clean and comfortable
Close to all tourist sights.
Great location, lovely clean hotel.
We stayed in Lambeth and the position was fantastic, just by Lambeth bridge opposite Lambeth Palace. Quiet room and friendly staff. Buffet Breakfast in the morning was good and plenty of it. Well designed rooms and very clean. En suite shower separate to toilet, good idea!
Perfect hotel for families
Great hotel, staff was super friendly and very helpful! Perfect hotel to stay with kids, good location, near tourist attractions, food and transportation! Overall a great experience!
During check in it wasn't explained that the card needed to be put in the wall for the lights to come on. So after a long day and it was dark we had to wait for someone to come show us. When they did it took 10 mins or more for them to catch on. £21 for a breakfast was extortionate. When ordering a coffee on a separate morning the staff member wasn't friendly at all. Finally when I tried to check out the woman at the counter ignored me and took someone else when I was clearly waiting. Then the taxi ordered wasn't big enough despite knowing we had many suitcases and not from the country.
It’s was a perfect stay bed were slightly hard for my liking
A last minute booking for a theatre trip to London. Great service from the staff at the hotel.
Would recommend.
Staff was friendly and so helpful! Location was a short (less than a mile) walk from Westminster Bridge, the London Eye and the surrounding area. Also, not far from Underground station. Adding the breakfast buffet was great value for us!
Its very accessible.
One elevator was not working. Room’s carpet was dirty. Shower was full of mold. Bath fixtures were dirty. I would not recommend.
The Novotel in Waterloo made our stay for our wedding amazing. We also had many visitors attending from Canada who followed our booking at the same location. The staff were very accommodating and upgraded us without our asking. Thank you for the well wishes and the complimentary brownie! It was delicious. We will definitely be staying again at our next visit to London and really enjoyed being at such a great location for central London. Madeleine and Craig
When I return to London, I will stay at this property. That says it all! Great rooms, comfortable beds, and central to all the attractions!
The carpets were stained. My room was not cleaned and I was way overcharged for my stay with no option of getting the same rate as when I booked from Expedia.ca total rip off in rates.
Centrally located, near to many tourist attraction's .
Unfortunately there was something on the wall in the bedroom (a bogey)i asked the receptionist if she could get house keeping in to our room and ckean it of the wall when we came back from having tea house keeping had been in our room and changed the towels but not removed the disgusting item next day we when diwn for breakfast and i asked tge receptionist again to get house keeping in and this time we were lucky to have it removed.
No 24 hr food, drink or room service
Too expensive for what it had to offer. Old furniture, old carpet and the wc is in a different room from the sink and shower, which is very inappropriate and unsanitary, because you have to move to a different “room” to get your hands washed.
Ok
Hotel was nice, easy to find and clean. Bedding was bobbly, not soft, and pillows were flat fibre. Woke up with a stiff neck. Woken throughout the night by banging above us, like someone running around and jumping.
Liked so much we stayed here 2x
Walking 10 min and u are the Big Ben and London Eye area. Hop on hop off bus stop within minutes. Great location away but not to far away from the tourist. Good breakfast to start your day.
Our overall experience was good. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and the rooms very comfy. The location of the hotel was good as it was walking distance to westminster and to the local tube station Lamberth North. My only criticism was check out was 12 noon and we had the housekeeper knock on at 8:30am, asking when we were leaving. Our young son was still sleeping as we had had a couple of long days sightseeing, luckily they didn't wake him. On another note we would definitely stay again.

Location was great. Nice staff and clean property. Rooms could have better ventilation and better design and functionality . Electrical outlets are insufficient and there aren’t enough places to hang towels or leave things. For a small room finding functionality to maximize space is key. Restaurant food is good and the breakfast buffet is convenient.
