Very disappointed about the destination fees each day of our stay ( 35$ US/day). I find it dishonest for the customers. We had a bill of 295$ CAN when we leave the hotel, suprise surprise!!! Also, we were sleeping just above their bar, so on saturday there is a big party and it's lound for the second floor. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and beautiful, the staff is very nice, it's close to the subway station, close to chinatown/little italy.
Lovely stay, however the rooms need a fridge, difficult to always have to go and buy water and drinks. Great location, fantastic transport links, close to Chinatown and walkable distance to most tourist attractions. The room was clean but some things were missed, hair in the shower and fingerprint smears on the windows from the previous guests. Staff are disinterested and there always seem to be a queue to speak to someone. Rooms are small but functional. Cleaning staff are lovely, really helpful and friendly. Destination fee offerings are really good. Nice to be able to get a hot drink and food item every morning.
I enjoyed the decor and staff at moxy
Great location and very very friendly night doorman
Fab hotel - great value.
The hotel is really good. We stayed over New Year and it’s far enough out to be good value for money but close enough via the subway to be well connected to the key parts of Manhattan. Room cleaning was missed one day during our stay but that’s the only negative I can record. Staff were very helpful. Drinks and food we had were good. 3 minute walk to Grand St station. Caution around the area at night as there are some pockets of homeless people that can be intimidating to walk through but we kept to the main streets and generally had no issues.
We loved the hidden nightlife entrances and decor on main floor. We loved the service and friendliness of all staff. We loved how quiet it was in our room, and we loved the view!
Well connected location, cool vibe and comfortable rooms. Much better value than midtown hotels. Loved the breakfast pastries especially the almond croissant and cinnamon rolls. Great team who provided a welcoming service. We’ll definitely be back!
Clean but very, very small rooms, designer way over keen on style over comfort, practicality or care for clients.
Very nice place, room was small but clean and well designed
Amazing location, great food and bar options
Great stay
Bed was extremely comfortable. Location was perfect. Would stay again!
Great place and staff Will definitely be back to stay.
This stay of 8 nights in NY at Moxy Lower East Side has really made our time fabulous. The location & facilities are superb. One person stood out & needs special acknowledgment. Alex, the doorman was personable, fun and friendly. He made superb recommendations, gave good advice & consistently held to this for our entire stay. Our time in NY has really been extra special & unforgettable due to his authentic personality. Can't speak highly enough of Alex...bravo
Great stay at moxy, convenient area to stay in, modern hotel and spacious as far as a hotel room in nyc goes. I appreciate the efforts made for storage in the room.
Very nice hotel room with nice view. Room was small
The staff was amazing, from the doormen to the bartenders to the front desk! loved them all!!
Really cool property with great staff. The jazz bar and rooftop bar are nice too. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, but it looked great. There’s a destination fee that you get back in credits that you can use for coffee and snacks at the breakfast bar. Can be a little noisy on the weekend, especially if you stay on a higher floor because of the rooftop bar, which plays music until 4 a.m. We were on the 13th and could hear the subtle hum of the bass. We had a corner city view room which had a king bed but was otherwise a little small. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room so it worked for us. the view was great. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Grand St. station which made catching the D train to midtown or Brooklyn very easy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Would stay there again
The boutique hotel stood true to it's name; small, intimate and quaint. It always smelt good, giving a "clean feeling" as you walk passed the lobby. The waiting area behind the check-in counter, just by the coffee shop, was big enough to accommodate a few, and small enough to keep a good conversation going. Would suggest adding bedroom slippers to the rooms as the floor gets cold -we checked-in on winter time. Overall, would highly recommend to anyone wanting a posh, stylish, boutique hotel, close to subway stations, shops, and restaurants.
Beautiful hotel!
Modern and nice vibes
Good location, but small rooms and very expensive for what it was. Some rude staff.
Excellent property! Great nightlife!
Second yr staying here and we really like this hotel. The hotel bar, lobby, and rooms are modern with great decor. Rooms are clean with great views and comfortable beds. Location is great and easy to get to.
A surprising gem of a hotel
A gem in the lower east side. Beautiful hotel with great amenities. Lots of entertainment, great security and staff. Room a bit small but it’s typical NY size. Well decorated room and very Morden. Love this hotel and would stay again!!
Rooms are too small
Great location, walkable to the subway
Shoutout to Shawn at front desk!!! He’s very friendly and helpful. Room is nice and clean. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room the second day but it’s okay. One of the bartenders is rude!!! I didn’t get his name but he has an accent, dark skin, tall. Overall, it was a nice stay. I would stay there again.
Good (but expect some noise and resort fees)
The stay was mostly very pleasant. The room had a great view, the interior design of the whole hotel was very nice. The bed was really comfy and the shower was perfect. The less positive aspects were the noise from the rooftop bar. On some nights, very loud music would still be playing past 2AM. We were on floor 13 and unable to sleep. The resort fee system, (being charged 35 dollars a day for things we didn't really use), was probably in the small print when I booked but I still felt a bit stung by it. For us this essentially ended up being paying over £120 for a few croissants at breakfast which just wasn't great value. Generally most of the staff were nice and helpful, but some weren't as much. It's probably our fault (being more used to staying in Air bnbs) but I wished things about the hotel could've been more clearly explained when checking in, especially after long, early flight with jetlag etc. The initial interactions left us a bit confused about basic things like using the lift, connecting to WiFi, how various services worked. Despite these things it was still a nice stay. The only thing I'd add to try and help someone is for finding a place to eat, the area to the west of the hotel generally felt nicer/safer than the streets to the east.
Very nice facility.
Everything was clean, accessible, and welcoming. Rhe bunk-bed room was a total win for us!!
.
Great stay. Great staff.
Towels were not replaced after my first day. My room wasn’t cleaned until after 5pm on the third day. The cleaning staff said there are many rooms to clean and that reception didn’t notify her to clean my room…unacceptable. I felt sick to my stomach and vomited…a staff member was annoyed that I didn’t make it to the washroom. Unpleasant staff at reception…I wasn’t thanked for my stay nor wished safe travels home. Nobody checked on me after I felt ill…I called reception for Tylenol or Advil as I had a fever and was bed ridden. There neither available. A safe in the room would be convenient for storing passports. My daughter hadn’t eaten as I was ill and food options were non existent so she ordered from DoorDash.
The Moxy LES was a blast - great energy, simple style, clean, great music and roof top bars - I did not get to the night club, but heard it is popular. Walk down Broome St. and you are in the heart of NOLITA and Soho! Walk in the other direction and you are at Katz's deli and/or Russ and Daughters! You can't go wrong!
Not my favorite area of town. Got lost in a sketchy area. Apple Maps didn’t work well. Several ameneties not in room. Cords hanging from tv. No fridge. No closet. No coffee pot.
Moxy Lower East Side is an excellent modern option on Manhattan. Highly recommended.
Nice stay
Great vibe and friendly staff
Everything and everyone at The Moxy was perfect! Thank you for such a wonderful stay….we will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone
The breakfast cafe had no food left when we arrived at 10 am so why is the cafe open until 3 pm ?
Too Small
Chic little hotel w/ a tremendous amount of nightlife every evening - if that is your thing. Unfortunately, our room was the smallest room we’ve ever experienced in NYC. Most rooms are small, but we had to take turns moving about the room in the mornings to get ready. As I lay in bed typing this, I am 100% sure the king size bed is shorter than a standard bed.
It’s a good location.
Excellent location for pizza, lots going on in the hotel.
Nice lounge and rooftop
Moxy weekend
Great location, nice people and good meeting place in the lobby for a cocktail before heading out. Small but clean and efficient rooms.
Would stay here a million times over everything was top notch They really do have everything Lovely dining cool vibe at lobby bar great live music at silver linings Close walk to subways tons of great little cafes and bars within a short walk Absolutely loved it
Hotel is beautiful, every common space is well taken care of and spotless. The room was a bit too small for two people, but we made it work. The property is very well located— walking distance to Soho and East Village.
Love Moxy hotel designs. Super funky and fun. However, they refused to provide us with real glasses for Champagne we brought to our room. You have multiple restaurants and bars in your hotel but you make your guests use paper cups? I was trying to celebrate my upcoming marriage.
Overall great experience
A great place to stay, veyry walkable to shopping and restaurants. Not far from several subway lines.
Great stay!
The hotel is very nice with a lot of nice amenities. The Fix bar is great for a drink and light meal. Walkable to a lot of great places. Great location.
Stay.
View was everything
Loved all the entertainment options, the view from my room was amazing and it’s a short walk to many places! The staff was so friendly and attentive! Sydney at the front desk was so helpful and kind, the doormen were also helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!
A fantastic hotel but the area was a little daunting for our children when it went dark.
Friendly staff and champ vibes, one of my favorite experiences since 2024. Two staff made me chuckle without the words spoken.
Front desk: Sean helped us out with early check in. He was kind and personable. Made it very easy and convenient at 6:00 after a red eye!
Great location in the East village---near subway, shopping, restaurants. Wonderful welcoming staff. Property is new and very nicely appointed and clean. Great place to stay in East Village. Really enjoyed the rooftop bar next door.
Great spot
Great spot. Lots of action right out the door. Great proximity to SoHo.
Wonderful location, wonderful staff and very friendly. A group of us stayed together in the 4-bunk room. It was nice that the toilet and shower were separate. Challenging to get any privacy though, which should have been anticipated!
Fabulous hotel. Clean, comfy, and trendy.
Staff very helpful
Very loud
I spent over $1000 to spend the night at a hotel that doesn’t even provide parking. I was told to go to a garage a few blocks away and pay $80 a night to park all my bags down the streets of New York.
Great hotel, friendly staff, great location. Fun vibe, will definitely stay there again
Good for sound sleepers
The hotel was conveniently located close to SoHo. The room was small but good for a weekend stay and the bed was comfortable. Be advised though, that there is a lounge on the top floor from which you can hear throbbing music until about 3:00 am. Also there is a 30 "Destination Fee” charged for every night of your stay.
Moxy 3 Nights
Really nice hotel in great location and helpful friendly staff
Moxy is a great hotel
Moxy is a great location and a really fun hotel. Staff is friendly, bar is popular and the roof top bar is really fun. I’ve stayed there several times before and will stay there again.
Fantastic staff
Pillows awful but everything else brilliant
Excellent from start to finish, amazing decor and the staff was wonderful.
Nice place, horrible sleep.
Upon arrival we noticed in our room that everyone the AC went off it would make this loud clicking noise that wouldn’t go off for 15-20 seconds. And this was happening every 10-12 minutes. I happened to have friends staying in the hotel as we were in town for a wedding together and they said there’s didn’t do this. When i went to tell the front desk, they said they wouod have it checked out while we were at the wedding. When we got back at midnight after leaving at 2pm it seemed fixed. Then at 2am it came on again and this time it was louder. I was not able to sleep the rest of the night. I took another video to show the front staff and they took off the remaining balance that i owed which was 100$. I do not think this was enough to compensate for two nights of horrible sleep.
Staff and the entire stay were excellent!
Great location, great staff. The bars are overpriced and aren't as interesting as the pictures of them.
This hotel is super cool and definitely a party hotel. I travelled with my business team and we chose this for the fun atmosphere. I was only disappointed that the rooftop bar was closed out for private events on two of the nights we stayed there. The rooftop bar was a huge factor in choice of why we stayed there so we were all frustrated about that. Good food and fantastic drinks. Just know that the Moxy policy is to charge a $30 a day fee in which you can use on food in the lounge or cafe only. It does not add up in bulk and has to be used per day. I can see how this would be frustrating to a lot of guests if they do not know in advance. Be nice to the staff, and they will be nice to you!
Loved the location and staff!
The staff in this hotel esp in the reception area are so polite very accommodating , the female receptionist on day , 9/30 helped me thru the elevator with my grandson and i forgot her name the best hotel staff i've ever met even the staff where i bought my breakfast so polite !!!
Staff at the front desk (check in) not too friendly. Staff at the bar very friendly.
Live entertainment
Small
First off – beware! The hotel charges you a “Destination Fee”, which is a code word for a resort fee that you have to pay on arrival whether you need the “amenities” or not. The daily food and beverage credit is only for their own facilities and the main restaurant in the hotel is not included. Then -- we got a ridiculously tiny room that was apparently standard. There was hardly room to turn around. Eventually I found a place to put our suitcase (luckily we packed light and only had one small one). There was no clothes closet or chest of drawers. i.e. nowhere to put clothes except under the bed. I found two tiny hooks next to, and almost hidden by, the TV so I asked for some coat hangers, which they did provide. The “bathroom” had a shower and toilet – the washbasin was in the room about a foot from the bed. The bathroom sliding door closed so firmly that it was almost impossible to open from the inside. The shower had no grab bars or towel bars at all. The light switches were inscrutable - none of them had backlights so turning on a light in the middle of the night was near impossible. There were no USB outlets in room. There were reading spotlights that shone on the bed’s backboard, useless for reading. On the good side, room was quiet and insulated from city noises and AC was good. No onsite breakfast other than pastries.
Great place on the lower east side. Friendly, efficient staff. The rooms are small but cleverly designed, very comfy beds, good water pressure and most of all, quiet! Perhaps the benefits of booking a room with no view (just to inner courtyard, so no street noise). Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and subway. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely staff, eclectic awesome decor, beautiful rooftop, comfy beds and linens. Easy subway accessibility.
Nice hotel, amazing rooftop
Great dining options.
I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and both times received mediocre service by the front desk staff. Their training and communication is subpar. The price is astronomical compared to their ability to provide top tier service.
Everything was exactly what we were looking for.
Great hotel needs to have Valet.
The hotel was beautiful, the amenities were amazing, and staff was very accommodating. My only negative was being told they had no Valet for our car. When you pay that much per night having to walk to get my car at 5:30 in the morning felt very unsafe.
Beautiful room with rooftop views. Friendly staff and so close to Financial district,Solo And Little ITALY
Staff were nice and good location but the ac wasn’t really cold and didn’t have anyone clean our room or replace towels throughout our 3 day stay
Great location!
Liked the lobby/lounge area, very cool. Near to Chinatown and little Italy, so lots of good food options.
Chic hotel and nice staff, but my wife sunshade jacket lost when laundry
BEAUTIFUL property, so many interesting things to look at no matter where you turned! The bar was fabulous as was Sake No Hana and the Highlight room! This property is a content creators dream. Staff was amazing and the surrounding location reminded me of the time I spent in China. Full of culture and interesting people.
We had an amazing experience staying at the Moxy! The staff were amazing, the bars were stunning and the location was super easy to hop on a subway and go anywhere in the city! One issue for us was that the bathroom had a shower door, making it super easy to hear when one of us was using the washroom. There is also no fridge in the room (I like to keep my water cold so that was annoying) but I would go down to the basement level to get ice whenever I needed it. There is one ice machine outside of the gym. Of course the room was also very tiny but we expected that in New York. The decor of the room was so nice though! Other than those few things we loved our experience at the Moxy.
Great hotel, great staff and great service!
Na
The gym there wasnt enough to get a proper lift, but they have some partnership with a gnarly underground gym a few blocks away and gave me day passes every day, which was rad. Had a great time.
My stay was great!
