Might as well be a roadside motel

What a disappointing stay. Some La Quinta hotels are nice, some are not, hit or miss. This one is on the low end. Although recently "renovated" the rooms feel old and dingy. The sofa "bed" described on the site is not a "bed" at all, just a couch cushion that pops up to make the sofa slightly bigger. Breakfast was below average. Although they provide eggs and sausage in addition to the typical cereal and waffle station, one bite of the still frozen in the middle eggs was enough to make me nauseous. The service was not at all friendly. Despite one employee being friendly most of my interactions with the female employees at the front desk were not positive. Despite an overly friendly attitude on my part they were short, wouldn't give eye contact and after I said "thank you for your help, have a great night." they didn't even acknowledge the pleasantry, just ignored me. It was rude. Would have rated it 2 stars but it was slightly better than a roadside motel.

I had requested handicap, the counter wanted to charge more when I requested it when reservation was made on Expedia. There was a lot of loose hair, like they did not clean it, bed did not seen like they were changed.

Honestly if not for the location, this review would be much worse. The bed was uncomfortable... hard, while also somehow soft enough to cave in to the middle. The window had a giant smudge of some type of body part. Check in was difficult. Paid for early check in, was given issues when i arrived. Even with w smart TVs in the room, neither of them would connect to the internet to allow streaming. Plug by the bed didnt work. Shower looked grimy. When trying to lay down, the noises from the slamming doors in the hallway and the stomping upstairs neighbors was almost too much to deal with. Luckily i was exhausted. Aside from all of the other things, just the lack of care shown in their renovations gives true meaning to "polishing a turd". I will find hotels in this same location, but i will not be staying here again. Ending on a good note, there was security in the parking lot at night... or just a random guy. Not really sure.

Hotel seemed to be clean, when we checked in there were 2 ladies at the front counter. One seemed to be in training. The 2nd one is desperately lacking in customer sevice. Our card stopped working so I took it to the counter and handed it to her and said it wasn't working. She grabbed it, reprogrammed it and handed it back to me and didn't say a single word. She didn't apologize for the inconvenience (it wasn't a horrible inconvenience, it happens, but as someone who has been in customer service all their career, you still apologize), she didn't tell me to have a good afternoon or even greet me when I walked up. The room was ok, the a/c was noisy but that seems to be the way it goes in all hotels. The bathroom had ants. Like a lot. At least it wasn't roaches...

The microwave in the room did not work. In the bathroom, it looked like they had stuffed some kind of towels around the shower head to stop a water leak. The cleaning crew did not clean the bathroom good because there was long black hair in the tub and sink and I have red hair.

The sheets were not clean. They had dirt on them and you could tell they had not been changed. The room was just very dirty, mismatched paint and needs some TLC. THE BREAKFAST CEREAL HAD ANTS ALL IN IT SO WE COULDN’T EAT IT. THERE WERE ANTS ALL OVER THE COUNTER, SO WE JUST MADE A WAFFLE AND LEFT NOT MUCH ELSE COULD BE EATEN BECAUSE THERE WERE ANTS IN THE FOOD.

Orbitz has incorrect pictures of the room. It did not have a pull out bed like it had in the pictures of the room. We are traveling with kids and they had to make a bed on the floor. We only stayed there because of that reason. We would have stayed elsewhere if we had known.

Nice stay for the night.

Nice stay. Mattress was not as comfortable as my posturpedic bed but for one night it was okay. Next time ill choose one not so close to the freeway....heard a lot of loud vehicles, like motorcycles, big trucks. Breakfast was okay but wish they had decaf coffee as a choice. Also wish they had more protein choices except for sausage and eggs, would help those who are diabetic (maybe low sugar items, jams, cheerios).

Well, I’m not the type to complain much about properties. However, when I first got there I waited for over 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. The beds were not comfortable at all and to top it off they charged two of my credit cards the $100 deposit. And they have only released one of those so far.

Definitely 3* at maximum.

I rented 2 rooms... the bathroom in both rooms was not not so clean. The shower floor was gray. So it was cleaned from the previous person but it needed some chemicals to get it well cleaned and maintained. Also a good clean on the shower head and Around the soap, shampoo and conditioner.

Beware of Thieve owners

Do not stay here…or if you do keep a watch out for the charges they charge you for incidentals. They robbed me of $143, twice. Once when I stayed there and then about a month later when I didn’t even stay there. THIEVES!!

It was nice, no major complaints. There some areas of the ceiling in the bathrooms that had been torn up- not sure why. It also looked like they were in the middle of renovations so maybe that’s part of it. Overall, it was nice. Clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Horrible experience...

Lack of parking lot security. My vehicle has been broken into on two separate occasion while staying at this hotel within a timespan of a couple of months. Front desk says they have security yet staff does nothing to help, checks no cameras, offers zero help. Horrible experience.

Deposit

There was a hundred dollar deposit fee no one mentioned when I booked and I haven’t received the money back though I was told it’d be immediately returned upon check out, I couldn’t do some of the things I wanted bc I didn’t plan for that expense.

Property was maintained but could use a lift. The highlight was that the staff was on point with everything regarding noise complaints I was afraid I wasn’t going to get any bed but was glad they did there due diligence to get people quiet. And the only downside was that the room smelled like mildew when we went in but it was ok once I got febreze. Breakfast was good pretty basic but well stocked.

It was ok,,, my first choice is that they allow dogs. No jacuzzi, the bed frame had this side bars sticking out that would hit my legs every time I go on or off. Hotels need an ATM to leave a tip for housekeeping. (They leave a envelope in the room for tip)

Uncomfortable, but not bad for the price

The hotel as a whole is clean and nice but our room was very humid and had a wet smell to it which made it feel like everything was a bit dirty and damp. The mattress was pretty hard and you could feel and hear the springs. I don’t expect much from the complimentary breakfast but this was one of the worst I’ve had. Dried out hard sausage some “breakfast” potatoes that were basically unseasoned backed potatoes mashed up in a pot. Also our TV would do things randomly like if someone else could control it, we had it turn on and turn up to full volume in the middle of our sleep which gave us a scary awakening. Overall not a completely bad hotel, just seems to cut corners in some areas.

Absolutely horrible experience! I’ve booked 4 nights arrived in the morning so I can take shower and go to work and they told me my reservation was canceled because I arrived in the morning not day before. I couldn’t check in and had to go straight to work… when I came back the lady at the lobby was raising her voice at me trying to prove that she was right for charging me for the night they canceled on me. Highly recommend to book any any other hotel- because they will make you feel horrible staying there. I regret and will never ever book they brand of that hotel again! The lady at the lobby should never be working there- she is ruining their brand her name is was Mellana I think.

There was a stain on my bed spread when I arrived and hair in the shower. I was surprised by the smell of the hotel that alarmed me for water damage. There was constant noise in the hotel room which interrupted my sleep.

I had a surgery scheduled at a nearby hospital and needed a noon check-in instead of the 3pm. I was denied sny warky checkin, even though the hitel was near empty. After a 4 night stay i was denied a late checkout as i was be in ng discharged from the hospital. These people were not accommodating for an unusual circumstance. They also ran out of breakfast food as there were many young kids stuffing themselves.

The pictures posted are deceiving, this hotel does not have nor looks like what they are advertising. My room smelled like arm pits, the AC in in gym does not work, and when I asked why the hotel didn’t like as what was shown in pics, they responded with “that’s what it will look like in a few years” I sure did get out of there within minutes.

That was absolutely awful !!!!!!! We had water leaking into a room on the first floor ! We had water droplets when you go to check in ! Then the key to the rooms weren’t working ! They told us anytime we had to get in we had to find someone agh the front desk to let us in. The hallways had water coming in from the rain on the first floor !!!!! This place is a disaster !!!!!

The pictures on your website show indoor pool and hot tub, but according to hotel they remolded over two years ago, employees handling breakfast food preparation did not use gloves they used their hands, hotel only had one waffle maker for all guest line took 30 minutes to get one, elevator was scary hesitated in going up and down, beds were extremely firm, pillows were too big they didn’t not get flat to lay head down slept, plus hotel required $100 deposit prior to stay that would be returned after checkout

No follow through on broken tv

I booked the king suit for a week stay in San Antonio North Stone Oak area, which had two tv's large mini fridge and microwave. T.V. in front of the bed and one in front of the sofa area above the desk. The room was spacious and recently/modernly updated however the tv in front of the bed only had sound coming from it, no picture. It's nice to be able to unwind at the end of the day and zone out to the tv sometimes. I asked 5 times with front desk staff to get a maintenance person out to fix it and was assured each time someone would come but they failed to send someone every time. I gave up asking. Bed was cozy at first but way too firm and by day 3 my lower back was killing me! The pillows however were lovely and plan to buy some for my bed at home. Staff otherwise was friendly and helpful besides fixing the issue with the broken tv. Probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was the last place available. But overall it served it's purpose.

Horrible!!

First off the room I ordered was not given , what they advertise isn’t what you get!! The pictures show a two bed w a sofa bed and when I walked in the room it didn’t have the sofa bed, when I asked the front counter they said they don’t know.The bathroom door wouldn’t even close!! They only had one elevator which would take 30 just to reach to you and whenever it did it was full with people. The breakfast had super watery eggs, the sausage wasn’t even fully cooked & only had one waffle maker another 30 mins in line just to make a waffle. Overall I wouldn’t come back to that hotel if it wasn’t for my kids excited about six flags I would have asked for a refund and returned home. But since they know most of us have bought tickets somewhere and we won’t loose that money aswell.

We stayed 6 nights for its location. We were in San Antonio for a special birthday and to visit family. Room was clean and quiet. As with all La Quintas offer breakfast at no charge which is a great way to start the day. The shower was equiped with Dove toiletries which was a nice surprise. The only draw back was 5.00 can of coke and a single serve cheeto snack.

Knock the doors

Very clean looks like its been renovated breakfast area had good items the pool is outdoors. The main issue was fhat by 8am some guy just swiped his badge and came in to strip the beds no knock or said housekeeping nothing once he notice we were in room he walked out
