The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I wish there were more restaurants in walking distance.
Decent place to stay for an overnight. Bathroom tub was chipping and needs some overhaul but the beds were clean and comfy. A little noisy when the planes start in the morning but it’s not an international airport so they don’t run all night. Good stay for the price. If you’re looking for top notch hotel, pay more and stay somewhere else. But if you’re ok with a decent place for a fair place, it’s a good place to stay.
Cleanliness
Stayed at this hotel with friends and family before/after our cruise for a total of 3 nights. The staff were amazing and it’s conveniently located minutes from the airport and a free shuttle. Breakfast was also free and had a decent variety (waffles, cereal, bagels, muffin, toast, eggs, juices, yogurt, fruit etc). The hotel itself could use a bit of an upgrade. The tub in the bathroom was peeling paint and the chair in the room had stains on it (this was the case in 2 separate rooms). Only one of the restrooms were open in the lobby and it had a broken toilet seat. The hot tub outside was unable to be used as they told us they are renovating that area. Overall our stay wasn’t bad and the staff were really great especially accommodating an early checkin. I didn’t see any roaches or bed bugs so to me that’s good enough. If you’re just looking for a cheap place to spend the night it’s honestly not bad.

Mixed feelings about our stay
The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The cost and location was great. However, the room was in need of maintenance and refresh. The caulk in the bathrub/shower was moldy, the chair had stains and severe wear and the carpet was stained.
If you are flying out of Hobby you couldn't get closer (very little airport noise). And right side of town for the Space Centre. Being close to the airport I couldn't find very many amenities (dining, supermarket, etc) within walking distance. It served my purpose at a good $$$ rate

I had difficulty finding the correct phone number to order the shuttle from the airport. I arrived to my room at 9:30 P.M. to find it very cold because the heat was OFF when it was 44 degrees outside. When I mentioned it to the front desk when checking out, I was informed that it was standard practice. The coffee maker was inoperable.

Disappointment...
Room had a musty damp smell. The furniture and carpet was outdated and full of stains. Several light switches and the desk plug did not work. Sheets were scratchy and the bed felt like I was sleeping on a concrete floor. I had stayed at La Quinta several years ago in California and enjoyed my stay. However, my last two recent stays at La Quinta have been very disappointing. I probably won't be staying at a La Quinta again anytime soon.
We check in drooped our luggage. The. Went to dinner. After we came back we noticed a soft spot in our floor right past the ceramic tile that could trip a person. Then went to us shower paint was peeling off tub like an old chevy Shower head barely put out water and was crusted with calicum bill up.we went out side to check pool area pool dirty filled with leaves and not filtering and hot tub was same way would not even turn on.. we were locked out by pool because you apparently have to put a rock in door to keep it from locking you due to the key card reader not working desk agent had to come let us in and acted like we were idiots for not putting rock in the door as if this is a normal thing.. i finally got fed up and went to a wonderful best western plus ( best western was cheaper by the was )next door. Hotel desk clerk was mad when we left saying we stayed for 4 hours and just now wanted to get refund and leave . I told him we were out to dinner and had gotten back and grew tires of the disgusting hotel

Decent Hotel But Nothing Fancy
My only complaint is that my room smelled musty, there were no usb charging ports in the room and the hotel only has one entrance at the front desk. Other things to know is that the toilet paper is single ply, you don't get a balcony and the coffee in the room tastes terrible, sugar and cream provided are insufficient.

The check in fast and easy. She was extremely polite and helped us out with tips around the area. My biggest complaint was the hot tub was out of order. This was the biggest reason we booked our stay at this hotel. She said it was going to be removed. This should have been disclosed prior to booking. Please double check if this is a factor for you picking this place.

Terrible experience
The person checking me in answered the phone in the middle of my check in and then helped them, leaving me waiting. The elevator sounds like it hasn't been serviced in 20 years. The floor in my room has spots that felt like the wood beneath was rotting. I fully expected to fall through. It was VERY loud. Breakfast was awful - no meat, unseasoned "eggs". And then to top it off, the airport shuttle wasn't running until 11am. My flight was at 11am. The front desk claimed the airport wasn't open until 11am due to the winter storm. I calmly explained that the ticketing counter and TSA opened at 9am. She argued with me and just shrugged her shoulders. So I had to get an Uber. I got to the airport at 8:30 and EVERYTHING was open. Perhaps they should listen to their customers!

The bed was severely worn with lumps and stains in the mattress . The a/c unit was very noisy. The tub paint peeled which made it hard for me to shower. I checked out early

I've booked at this hotel three times due to the location. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is simple, and hot. The rooms have a damp, mildew type smell. The bath tubs also need to be resurfaced. My last visit the elevator went out of service and buzzed all night. On the bright side, it was fixed the next morning, however being in room 216 I was right in front of the elevator.
Had to switch room because TV didn't work. New room TV lost signal for about 6 hours.
Room was in bad shape. Dresser dammaged, carpet pulled away from the tile border resulting in a nice tack in my foot. Tub was dirty and we never received the pillows we requested. Made sure to tell the desk about pillows on check out because i noticed they logged the extra pillows and i didnt want to be charged. Stayed quick overnight before catching a cruise for the holiday so it served its purpose.
Check in was easy. The staff was very friendly which made my stay more enjoyable! The property was very clean which is very important to me. What I did not like, it seemed as if a series of items just stopped working at the same time. The TV went offline, the elevator stopped working, and one of the machines in the gym was out of order. Someone began working to repair the elevator immediately along with the TV, however it was an inconvenience for a minute or two. Yet, I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay at this property again.
Staff messed up rooms when we check in. We got the room key and opened the door of the room ,there was already a guy in the room. The breakfast service in the first day was also not good. There's no warm breakfast such as egg and sausages. Serving tables were also messy.

Very friendly and clean
We have enjoyed our stay so far. Started with the courteous phone conversation with Valencia when we ordered the free shuttle; then the friendly and personable driver, Mark. The ride was very short and we did not have to wait long. The receptionist, Valencia was very warm, friendly, and helpful. The "quiet room" we requested is on the third floor and is indeed quiet and cleaned. We haven't had breakfast yet, but the breakfast area looks well equipped with the waffle makers, beverage dispensers and neatly arranged table and chairs. We are glad we chose La Quinta.

Old bed, smelly room.
I was looking for a hotel providing breakfast and choose this hotel. But I was disappointed. Food was not sufficiently stocked from starting time.
Everything was good,the room ,parking ,except the ice machine. One of three worked, my luck it was the last one !
Need improve the rooms
The room has a several damage at wall and roof, and the bed need to change the mattress
Didn’t feel safe or clean
Tub did not drain. Room was not clean. Tub was cracking wnd paint chips falling off as you showered. Shower spout was very nasty. TV remote did not work. Floor not clean at all.
Nice hotel
The room was clean and comfortable. The carpet was torn close to the bed. The bathroom, however, needs some repairs. There was no shower head and the handheld shower bracket was loose, Also the shower curtain did not reach the floor and consequently, since we had to hold the handheld while trying to shower, the water went all over the floor.
The room was clean and fine, the check in lady was ghetto, not very welcoming. We had to several minutes before she came out maybe from the bathroom, but no smile, no sorry for the wait and most importantly no hello. I was at the best western by mistake first because you can’t see la Quinta behind the best western, wish I would’ve stayed there instead, they were more welcoming.

The staff was nice and the property old and used but seemed to be clean. The sheets were terrible and scratchy. The television kept freezing, so couldn't watch anything. The room never seemed to get as cool as we wanted it to be.

There is visible black mold in 306 in the bathroom and a thick smell of mold (throughout the 3rd floor) in room 304. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The hotel feels safe and otherwise clean. The app will not let me add pictures
Libby was a little dim and gloomy but the staff was pleasant. Our tv didn’t work but front desk came up to fix. It was a good stay.
STAFF WAS NICE. NO ISSUES. I WOULD STAY AGAIN
I arrived at 3:15 and asked for.1st floor room. I.was told it would be 2 hour wait. I decided to wait the 2 hours placed my luggage back in my car and headed to dinner. 10 minutes in my route I was called to say the 1st floor room was ready. Common sense would have been to tell the maids to clean a 1st floor room. Leaving to take my mom to the airport the front desk clerk is sitting with her boyfriend with her leg drapped on his lap, her belly hanging out playing loud rap music from her phone. She sees my mom and I exiting the hotel and jumps up and goes to the front desk. Homeless people were coming in for breakfast as well.
The front desk was helpful, breakfast was good and the room/bed excellent.
I went with the Sofa bed option and I end up sleeping with my 3 kids in one king size bed, the soba bed had barely any cushion or foam I could feel the iron frame in my back my head and my legs, absolutely the worst experience ever

This place was gross. First thing we did was get on an elevator that reeked like pot and there was a joint on the floor of the elevator- the next morning the elevator still had that joint on the floor and it still smelled bad. Our floor smelled really bad too like pot and this is supposed to be an enforced no smoking property. Hot tub was a cold tub filled with leaves and strips of paper. The room was outdated and dingy and the pot smell drifted in. Breakfast was missing fresh fruit and yogurt- La quintas I have been to in the past have always had those. Beds were uncomfortable cheap mattresses.
Charged 100 dollars to my card for incidentals on top of what I already paid for the room. Will not stay again. Bed awful

I was not expecting a down at the heel facility. I was not expecting a top Wyndham property, and I also was not expecting a property that was just 2 steps above an hourly rate property. This property has not been inspected by a responsible Wyndham Property Manager in many years. A real disgrace to the corporate BRAND that you spend millions to promote. I will think long and hard before I book a hotel that is Branded Wyndham.

Housekeeping just enters your room without knocking the elevators are noisy. The pool is dirty. Just not a good place to stay.

Disappointing
Disappointed the TV in the room did not work. The Jacuzzi did not heat up. When we call the front desk for assistance, they advised us, it did not work. There was no sign indicating Out of Order. The lobby door to the pool area did not work. If you went out to the pool area, you had to put a rock in the door to get back in. The pool had lots of dead bugs in it. The gym equipment did not work. Overall, the hotel can use update on some of the amenities.
Lady on reception seemed annoyed that we wanted to check in. No small talk and only checked us in for 1 of our 2 rooms. The key card also diddnt work and I had to go back to reception for it to be reprogrammed. Fr
Repeated door slamming during the night by our next door guests made sleeping pretty tough. I called the front desk, thinking security could handle it, but now think maybe there was no security! The property was in disrepair. The remote control for TV was broken; a chunk of plastic was missing from it. Although the policy stated on check-in said NO PETS, they changed it so 2 pit Bull dogs came in and the owner said she needed to hurry because they were in “attack mode”! Also, NO COFFEE packets in room, though there was a coffee maker. And good luck getting there, as it shares a lot with Best Western.

Entered the hotel checked in all was well until we reached the room. It was clean but when I raised the shades to look out of the window it was so dirty thought sea fog had rolled in . Two and a half hours after checking in called front desk only to find out the elevator was mot working. The next morning my 77 year old husband who gas a foot injury and i had to make it down the stairs.

Crappy hotel
Compared to our previous hotel, this one was dirty, the grounds were trash, we returned about 10 pm and three gang looking guys were hanging out in the front of the hotel and one was very sick coughing up and spitting, it was gross, so when I got back to the room I tried to call the staff but they did not answer so I could report it, the side door had a rock holding the door open all night, my sister heard loud banging noises about 2 pm and 4 pm, breakfast was shabby and it seemed locals were getting meals there too. I normally don’t use this hotel but my hotel had hurricane damage.

Got there, pool wasnt working. Obvious tweakers roaming around signs everywhere that say lock your car for obvious reasons. Our room was a king suite the toilet didnt work, the pull out couch mattress was so worn out and old felt like laying on springs. Canceled my room for a refund. Horrible experience
