Excellent location
No clear restaurant, limited food options in their bar, phone in room down, need more staff to handle check in & out.
The room was nice! Cleanliness needed to be better! Bathroom basin not cleaned properly from people before or shower cleaned out properly.
Restrusnt was limited in choice. Breakfast was the ssme every day boring wanted to cancel last day breakfast as we were leaving early but no cpuld not would not accomodste us not happy jan
A/C was not working. Wanted to send maintenance up at 1am when I called. I said "no". He did show up the next morning as I was leaving. He had to reset it at a main panel outside of room. Bathroom floors a little dirty.
I liked the style of the property and the rooms were excellent in size.
the gentleman that assisted me at check in was very assisting and helpful. In fact, all staff were great including in the restaurant. Hotel room was very basic, but it is an IBIS.
The rooms and hallways had a strong musty smell, which was really unpleasant. It was quite bothersome. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel—it is not worth the price at all.
Check in reception staff competent and friendly. Cleaning and service staff lacking. Bedsheet had significant stain and should not have been used. Took them 2 days to replace. Shower soap dispensers empty 2 days. Towels removed but not replaced. Soiled wash clothes removed but not replaced. Had to request towels and coffee mugs. Not a guest friendly hotel.
Ot close to everything
Used to be Travelodge, but they revamped slightly with the room and feeling neat and tidy. The check in and out always a queue. But is my go to place to stay for convenience sake.
Good location
Quick and easy check in and out, comfy and clean, great room service.
Clean and modern. Well situated for public transport.
This quiet property is centrally located and walking distance to many spots to explore. The only reason I give lower ratings for cleanliness and facilities is because the bathroom really could use an update. The air conditioner also struggles to keep the room comfortable.
The staff were extremely helpful
Overall, really enjoyed our stay here. Our only complaint was that there were no power outlets next to the bed, which made it annoying when wanting to charge our phones overnight but also needing them for alarms in the morning. The TV also randomly turns on at some point every day. This wasn't an issue for us, but it could be for someone looking to sleep in and/or take a nap. But the facilities were clean, the breakfast was good, and it was close to a couple different bus stops for public transportation, which we used frequently. Would stay here again.
Mixed experience
Queen room was actually two singles zipped together with a thin cover over them. Not only was this not as comfortable as a queen, but it meant that the light switches were in a weird place in the middle of the bed. Check in was slow and awkward for unknown reasons and then we had to call.housekeeping to have them zip together the mattresses. Dated bathroom. Water was very slow to heat up, but that was fine given the weather. AC and TV both worked well.
Location
I was very impressed with the room, staff and bar/restaurant for the reasonable tariff. The hotel is very convenient to downtown Sydney.
The property is neat, modern and comfy. It has a great location next to the hyde park , Oxford street with good option to find your favorite food and a walking distance from siteseeings and Circular Quary
Nice hotel with great buffet breakfast
Great location, nice room but small fridge in room didn't work correctly, froze all our food.
Allowed to check in early, staff helpful, room clean and comfortable
Good location near Central Station and downtown area. Comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price.
Good
Great friendly staff and very clean room, close to China Town and Darling Harbour.
Great place to stay
Nice hotel. Great location near the metro
Sea view is beautiful
Good clean and quiet stay recommended 😊👍
Very good experience
Service with a SMILE
The Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. They gave me goos advice
There were some broken tiles in the bathroom, fairly clean and friendly staff.
The staff were exceptional with customer service, going above and beyond to help with issues eg sorting out SIM cards. Highly recommended.
Great location, facilities and very comfortable, quiet stay. Would definitely recommend as a great base to explore Sydney!
I couldn’t get WiFi in my room. I could get it in the hallway and lobby.
Great location - rooms in need of renovation
This hotel was “as expected” (I kept my expectations low). Although the bar area is renovated, the bathrooms in the rooms are well overdue for an upgrade. They let the place down, as did the lack of cleanliness. I think having a dirty and old bathroom felt worse than just having an old bathroom. On the plus side the happy hour cocktails & wine was great, with nice food and good service. We also enjoyed our buffet breakfast on Christmas Day. And when I told reception that my aircon had died in the night, it was fixed when we went back up from breakfast - on Christmas Day! I didn’t like having the check in on a machine. I had booked two rooms and it took two separate payments (so two charges on my credit card conversion fee). Loved the area - very easy to walk to Hyde Park, World Square and Chinatown.
Found location convenient for purpose of my trip.
Was quiet, close to yrain station and shops
This hotel is good value for money and I will continue to stay here. However there are small annoyances : the cutlery and crockery in the room are more often than not dirty; the curtains in all the rooms I have stayed in have been dirty; the lifts are slow. Staff do address issues that are raised (although I am not sure calling guests at 10:40pm to ask about the curtains that were changed several days earlier is ideal…..) but with only one person on reception usually it can be a little slow.
Its close by to central station and only 10 minutes walk to George Street.
Excellent place to stay when on a budget - the rooms have a kitchenette & the hotel has guest laundry facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic location. Travelling alone but felt very safe
The checkin staff are really good and they accommodated our requests promptly and service was very good.
okay hotel room for the price but cleanliness needs to be worked on
More attention to cleanliness of items such as the curtains, showers and walls would leave a better impression. Beds are comfortable and hotel is reasonably quiet. Good location.
It was a decent stay but no tea cups in my room so it was no point having a kettle when I couldn’t make a tea…..
This was fine for a three day stay.
Good
It is a perfect location for art museums and good shopping
Good value for the price
Good stay
Not impressed with housekeeping
Returning guest (and will return again!)
Stayed at this hotel seven times since 2021. Used to be the Travelodge and is not the Ibis Styles. It has been significantly refurbished and the rooms (which were comfy and spacious to begin with) are much nicer now. It is close enough to Central, George Street and Oxford Street. Be sure to book in advance though, as sometimes the room rates skyrocket.
Parking Nightmare in Sydney
We had a horrible stay at IBIS. We had a room with 3 single beds for my wife and I No on site parking We had to go to parking garage that gouge us for $133 for 3 nights We feel we have been taken
We only stayed because they had a room when our flight was canceled. Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
Clean and functional, no frills, not cheap but is near a few key areas. Not many staff if you have card issues like I did!
There was no reliable wi-fi except on the ground floor. I asked 3 times what the problem was and was told twice a technician would look into it. Nothing made it work for more than a free seconds. I was given different explanations for the problem; eg too many people trying to use it at the one time, and or my room was too far away? The TV also didn’t work today and again I was took a technician would come to my room but later I was took it was a problem with nearby construction work? What it really was I don’t know. Given the price I paid for my room, over $350 per night these problems are unacceptable.
A short walk to Darling Harbour, Paddy's Market and the Capitol Theatre
They didn't let me cancel my room even 2 months before the trip, despite the justified reasons I presented to them. The attention is the worst, actually you have to do the check in and check out by yourself. The food in their restaurant is ok but the service is bad. The room size is good and clean.
The worst Ibis hotel we stayed it. Room was uncomfortable. Bathroom felt like we were in a public bathroom or hostel. Room had no towels when we arrived. Hotel lifts, well let's just say I've never felt so unsafe in my life. Hotel lobby was tiny, felt like I was in a closet.
Location and affordability were good. Room was as expected. Although no microwave despite provision for one and other rooms having one. Tried the bar/restaurant for a meal but the DJ was trying for CBD nightclub vibe and we could not hear each other at the table (need to decide which you are providing). Ordered a common bourbon at the bar from the drinks menu which was not delivered further questioning by us eventually established they had no stock and nobody had told us. In the morning we went for the buffet breakfast but the person who took our money the night before had not told the dining manager so we were made to stand at the counter like a couple of homeless strays while they phoned around to confirm we had already paid for our breakfast. Poor communication and lax process marred what was otherwise a good stay
everything
Room and customers service was great. Is convenient and close to restaurant, shopping and the heart of the city entertainment.
Clean
Good but very basic accommodation and services
Not very friendly
The hotel is overall average, which is fair considering the price. The room was as expected for a 3-star, but I had an issue with the Chromecast TV—it was available but completely unusable. Unfortunately, the front desk staff weren’t helpful when I called for assistance, which was disappointing. A little more support from the staff would have made the stay much better.
Long check in waits. Expensive breakfast buffet. Limited options for eating nearby. Best part was quick taxi service available
Quiet area of the city but well within walking distance of all the major things. I think there needs to be a designated spot for smokers. They all seemed to congregate outside the entrance but that’s just a minor thing
Broken tiles and filthy bathroom. Needs an overhaul badly! Location was good.
The doors were all needing a paint The downstairs toilets were always dirty and it’s an outdated hotel The staff were nice and friendly
they had advertised cable V they didnt have any very orinetated to asan market
Great experience. Perfect for shopping and getting around Sydney.
Express check in and check out was very simple. Air conditioning in room was nice. Staff member assisted on check in. Staff were overall lovely to deal with. Dimmer for lighting in room was possibly faulty and would sometimes flash. Shower pressure was below expectations. Window sillls and top of frame of bed wasn't dusted. Over all it was a good experience, fairly priced and an excellent location. The bar/restaurant on the ground floor was excellent and the staff there are excellent as well.
The hotel was efficient and welcoming.
We used public transport so it was easier to catch the train from Museum Station, bit of a short walk up the hill from the Hotel. It has a Restaurant on site which was ok, went and checked out the bar across the road for a meal, which was very nice for basic pub fare.
It was all good with the only comment being the computer system on checking appeared a bit slow.
This is 100 meters away from Museum Station, Hyde Park etc. Walkable distance to Darling Harbour. Staffs are supportive and helful.
If you need to stay a night or two and just need a bed then no worries. Otherwise; lifts were slow, parking you had to pay EXTRA for, hotel staff were rude, we stayed 6 nights and our room was only readjusted a few times - wouldn’t even call it cleaning as they made the bed and topped up or toilet paper and that was it. Expensive for what it is, was advised we would have 1 x king bed however it was 2 singles pushed together. Rooms were stuffy, shower was no good and had really bad low water pressure. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be coming back.
Close to transport and Chinatown
Excellent service
Great hotel in a great part of Sydney. Very walkable and close to lots of restaurants and shops in the Darlinghurst district. The room was great, bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size. Overall, nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay here again.
Staff friendly and helpful
Rooms small. Bathrooms old.
Breakfast choices are good. Lift facilities a bit short to support high volume tenants, long waiting time in the morning.
Good value for money
Good location, good value.
affordable for the area
Great value and lots of room
Convenience ✔️
Location was good Water pressure in the shower was poor, as was general cleanliness of the shower cubicle The rest of the room was clean and the room was quiet
I have stayed in that hotel many times since they've been taken over. The Wi-Fi is very very poor. I went down to the front desk to talk to them about it and they said oh I had to contact my server. It's not my server plus I've been in ad Jordan rooms which I do not like, because I don't want to join the other person in the next room for a start and it's very noisy stop.
It is near the museum station and technically is a walking distance to the central station and walkable to the city centre. Making it a good location for tourists. Will visit again :)
Very convenient location just a little noisy, but good value for money & friendly helpful staff! Thankyou for pleasant stay.
Handy City Location
Great location, easy walking distance to the City and surrounding sights and transport. Rooms were comfortable. The Smart TV was annoying, kept on having to reset it, just want a TV you can turn on and watch and not have to muck around with. Also 2 of the lifts broke down while we were there and no one around to report this to to get them fixed. First time I have had to check myself in, feel like we are paying more and getting less!
I like the clean and comfortable bed.
Good value

All very good, helpful staff, good location, comfortable room. Only problem was the inadequate WiFi.
