Was looking forward to more caribbean fruits options than what was presented. Was dissapointed about the seaweed embedded on floor of ocean closest to the beach, which did not allow for much enjoyment in the water. Overall, had a very relaxing 4 nites stay and would recommend to others.
This property is amazing! Highly recommended
The hotel was clean and everyone was friendly . The pool area was great . The ice machine on our floor did not work all week . Some of the water fill stations had no water . Our bathroom had no hooks to hang your robe , towels or clothes when you get out of the shower . Did not care for the food … would not return to the hotel because of the food .
The staff was the best part of the property. Everyone was incredibly kind, courteous and warm with us and it made the experience special. We'd love to come back again.
For the price not a good deal. Was not really impressed. check in had us wait an hour at check in waiting on room. balcony light didn't work. no hot water for shower. tub was ok. removed face cloths, not given replacements. food was average at best. Front office slow to respond to guest requests. would not recommend resort to friends
I liked the activities available each day The staff was great updating you with the daily schedule and always invited you to participate The pools and beach area were also nice. Our room needed updating (especially the bathroom) and felt it could have also been cleaner. We did get pretty burned out on the buffet but did utilize 3 of the onsite restaurants.
This property is top tier . The food was exceptional with a lot of options . They have a whole lot of staff and they were professional. The only thing I had a problem with was them trying to get me to sign a club package for future travels of which I refused .i think Expedia gives a better deal
Amazing
Everything
I wanted to love our vacation but just couldn’t. From arrival, it took almost 3 hours to get our room- two hours past official check in time. Then the pool water was extra cold- and the ocean wasn’t much better. Of the 3 pool options - 1 large pool was closed for most of the week broken. The food was just ok, nothing truly outstanding. The positive part of our vacation was breakfast each morning - our server Kelisha was fantastic! She made my girls smile every morning, took wonderful care of us and was such a pleasant person. The girls loved to give her hugs and tell her their plans for the day. Our room was also large and worked well for us as a family of four. Not everything in the room was up to date one but it was comfortable for our stay.
Most staff were very pleasant, some were not at all happy.
Pros: Staff is wonderful, cheerful and accommodating. Beach is nice and activity staff is fun. Con’s: Room was not ready on time. Room view was not as described even after paying more. Food was ok,but very repetitive. The corporate greed is hard to overlook. They have no bottled water to “save the environment” so it’s your job to fill your glass bottles which are only located in your hallways. The hotel room had no working outlets which had to be fixed. When I told the front desk they said “ you must have used the hairdryer on high” which I replied it’s your hairdryer you provideThis was our first time staying with this brand of hotels. We have stayed at easily a dozen all inclusive places and this was the first time we got tricked and trapped into a presentation. Most concierge help you book dinners and excursions. Not Iberostars. Their purpose is to get you to agree to a free breakfast at a better level hotel next door. Once you agree then they will trap you. Ours went 120 minutes. At least that’s what happened to us. It’s like a car dealership they send 4 different people at you to get you to sign up for a 15-30 year commitment requiring nearly 10k down today type of deal. When my wife and I said we didn’t have the $9,400 they needed today the manager told me I did have that much and I could sign up but I was choosing not to. Just like when buying a car it would be nice to think about it but they threaten you that the deal is no good if we don’t hand a check over now.
Overall, the property was nice. The rooms were outdated and there was a musty smell in the hallways. The staff and service were not what we expected and often the staff seemed "put out" when you ordered food or drinks. With that said, the beach and pool were fabulous!
The food and vibes were great! The bars and entertainment were top notch. Ruth and Stretch and all the staff and performers were great. Also met a very friendly employee named Maurice who was doing really good job. All around great experience. Hope to come back again soon!
I though the pool and beach were beautiful. Some staff were very friendly, and others not friendly at all. The shower was old and not nice in the room. The Samurai restaurant was impossible to get a reservation at and the staff at guest services kept telling us conflicting information when trying to make one.
The level of rudeness and laziness of the staff destroys any chance this resort has of being a desired location. The first night I was locked out of my room for four hours while they tried to repair the lock same thing with every night we stayed there at the locks constantly broke. We were told on the second night that if we left a room, we might not be able to get back in and the manager said what do you want me to do about it there’s nothing I can do.. the bartender in the main hall around 10 PM. Just stand there. I thought tipping would fix this. It didn’t matter how much I tipped these people. They were still rude. Still lazy which absolutely destroyed the experience. I had to go searching around the hotel for water bottles that was supposed to be in the room, basic necessities, they could care less
Great resort for families.
It was a nice place. Clean and a lot of dining options/alcohol to drink
Iberostar resort is beautiful in every way. The people are the friendliest always willing to cater to your every need. The food was ok, I liked the buffet better than some of the restaurants. Had a wonderful time and would definitely return.
Bug found at restaurants. Resort tried to make amends but the offer was non-existent. Bottles and cups smells like icecream. Beach was rocky and dirty at times. Locals on the shore selling weed all the time. Food quality was not great. Staff Orlando at the front desk was welcoming, while servers in the restaurants looked tired and uninterested all the time. SPA and drinks were average. Overall, you can def find better AI elsewhere.
cool
Unfortunately, this stay at Iberostar was disappointing compared to my previous stays. Pros: -The beach was clean and relaxing with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The grounds are still well kept and the rooms have a good view. -Front Desk: Cora was kind at check in, helpful and polite. -Concierge: Rashad was very helpful and polite. -Rochelle at Aunt Ruby restaurant was kind and the bartender at the Italian Restaurant was great. Cons: -Other than the staff mentioned above, the remaining staff were rude which was surprising because I didn’t experience this during my previous stays. I don’t know if these are all new staff or if the customer service standards have changed. For example, the bartenders at the lobby bar (especially the two ladies—were VERY rude—they just stared at me as though I was disturbing them by coming to the bar), the bartenders at the pool bar acted as though they didn’t want to be bothered either; they were very unfriendly and I was given a dirty glass. At the Italian Restaurant, the young lady at the check in podium had the worst attitude. Also, there were issues w/the AC working properly in my room during my stay and even in the common/shared areas it seemed like there was a problem w/ the air. Food quality at the buffet wasn’t good. These are issues that can be corrected so hopefully Ibero will consider this review and make the necessary adjustments. Until then, this is no longer my first choice for a hotel/resort in Montego Bay.
The place was completely empty and felt abandoned we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and spent half the day checking in because of your booking discrepancies. They had there buffet closed on a Saturday night at 7pm and we were left to eat at a snack bar on our first night
Our stay at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites during December holidays was nothing short of exceptional! The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable retreat after long days of fun. The entire resort was clean and beautifully kept, making it a pleasure to explore. The buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of dishes to cater to all tastes. A special highlight was the care they took in accommodating the Indian vegetarian members of our group for the Christmas dinner—truly going above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and included. Having access to the Rose Hall Beach was a delightful bonus, and the availability of Indian food at the Rose Hall Beach buffet was a game-changer for us. The serene, calm waters of the Caribbean Sea added to the overall relaxation and enjoyment. One of the standout experiences was dining at the Japanese live cooking restaurant—entertaining and delicious! The staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist, enhancing our experience even further. Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is a perfect blend of luxury, hospitality, and culinary delights. Highly recommended for a memorable vacation in Montego Bay!
Large property well maintained with good food and great staff.
.
This was one of our best hotel stays. We had a great time relaxing and celebrating Christmas. The food was amazing and the staff and customer experience was fantastic.
When reading other reviews and they complained about the food options, I thought maybe they were just picky. Nope, the food is not so great. You won’t starve to death, but you won’t be impressed either. We did go to hip strip to eat lunch at The Pelican and the food was amazing. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. You do need reservations for the hibachi restaurant and it was booked our entire stay. Call the front desk to find out the activities for each day, as they are not well advertised and I feel like we missed out on several fun things. The pool activities and the one show we made it to were great! They have a free shuttle that takes you shopping, but it is not in town, it is a gated shopping community that has very few options, but it does have a decent bar with food and several shops for souvenirs. We came back and took a taxi to hip strip (shopping & lunch).
Wouldn’t go again.
It was an excellent experience, thank you to the management and staff. Especially Antoinette of the steak and lobster restaurant
I went for 5 days for a family vacation. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. My room was clean and as far as decor was ok. The showers need new grout. The water in the shower was not hot. I spoke to the concierge desk and nothin was done. The food was good. The food at the Italian restaurant was awful. The food at the Jamaican restaurant was terrible. Of all places, the Jamaican food restaurant in Jamaica was terrible. Very disappointing. The oxtail had a lot of fat on it, the fried fish was cold and hard. The calolo was bitter. It was very disappointing. The food at the secondary locations by the beach was always cold. My family and I was served burn rice and it was hard. The pools on the waves side was not clean. I stayed at the suites however my family was on the waves side. The drinks were adequate. They liquor was cheap. Overall, I wouldn’t stay at this property again.
Very nice all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay area. The staff was very polite and courteous. Food was good, drinks were nice and rooms clean. There were events every night which kept a very festive vibe going. My 5yr old daughter enjoyed every bit of our stay. They also have cabs to drop you to the airport at very reasonable prices and almost zero wait times. No need to worry about transportation back to the airport at the end of your trip. All in all a very good experience. Nothing to give it any less than 5 stars.
Loved this resort. The weather wasn’t the greatest week lots of rain and cloudy days but not the resorts fault. Would highly recommend and looking forward to staying at another Iberostar in the near future!
Not great
The food was great, the staff excellente and friendly and the hotel smell so good i cant wait to return it again…
Loved it
Great facility
This property was one of three. All suites located in the middle, was able to enjoy all three
Very good for snorkeling.
Parts of the hotel were undergoing renovation so some of the restaurants as well as the lazy river were closed. A water line had broke on the first night of our stay and caused them to shut off water for about 1-2 hours but they quickly fixed the issue. Due to the buffet being closed for renovation, people who stayed at Suites had to go over to the Beaches property to share the buffet. However, the A La Carte restaurants were superb and did not disappoint in the slightest. Most guests focused on the buffets which led to the A La Carte restaurants being relatively empty and quiet which allowed for very peaceful family meals. Overall it was a great stay even with the few hiccups.
I enjoy the food and the club , which they should promote more . I also feel the hotel has so much potential for more.
Hotel rooms are falling apart. Vanity door fell on my foot the first night
Nothing less than a 5 star
I love everything about it can’t wait to come back and stay with you guys again ❤️💯
Was a great family experience. Would have liked more food options for buffet breakfasts. Overall, best trip weve been on!
There were a lot of places to get liquid for dehydration! Food had a lot of variety! Staff was very friendly, polite and helpful!
I liked everything about the property there was nothing I did not like.
Great location, however for an all inclusive the fact that only house liquor is included in your package is a disappointing. Top shelf liquor is available at an extra charge. I also felt like they could have offered more entertainment at night.
Amazing
Very nice and safe hotel
The beach,splash park, entertainment
This hotel was the best! We had the best time, food was so good and their staff was fun to be around!!
I enjoyed my stay. My suggestion is to continue reminding the staff, no matter where they are, to speak softly when communicating with one another. Especially when it is not business related.
This property needs a lot of updating.
Staff Is Rude. You get what you get.
SoSo
The hotel is very nice. The food was amazing!!! Some of the staff were great. However, we were left feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable when we had all of our cash taken. It was as if someone was watching us as we checked in. They looked in the cabinets under the tv to find cash. We told guest services and they did an investigation and said that the employee did not have it on them. Of course they didn’t!!! We had the police come in as well. We received nothing in return for a large amount of cash gone! We were waiting for the police report to arrive via email. It has yet to arrive. We did not have our room cleaned after that. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Will NOT stay again!!!
Great property.
I booked Iberostsr because I saw their property in Cancun and was in awe. The resort was nice. Staff amazing. Food pretty good. The beef patties at the truck on the beach …superb. Our room was ok. We had a slow shower drain which made taking a shower unplesssnt. All and all had a relaxing stay
I liked the friendliness of the staff.
Rose Hall Suites
Amazing time at the hotel
It was gorgeous all the staff was so helpful, the resort always has something going on and you have got to shop from the locals on the beach they have the best stuff
Was a very average stay. The property is nice, but not great. A good amount of amenities. The people are friendly(for the most part), but the service is the definition of island time. No one is in a rush and to get anything don't too hours.
The place was very clean and beautiful.
Good place, great food, they don’t tell you that certain liquor that’s top shelf you have to pay for which is misleading for an all inclusive. There were a few times that I did see roaches. Other than that it was a blast. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels replaced, staff was extremely friendly and willing to get anything you want.
I usually stay in the one next door (grand) but because I have young kids this time I had to stay in selection. It seems like they were renovating because there was construction equipment in the hallways. Also when I got to my room I had to request to be moved 3 times due to the strong odor of mold. They need to address this issue. I won’t be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there until the mold issue is resolved.
Great resort, the staff is incredibly friendly and very hospitable! Rooms are nice, I’d give them a B for cleanliness but deduct scoring because we had a broken cabinet and a broken door handle to our balcony which takes away from the aesthetic in my opinion. I’d say the biggest con of staying here is the food. It takes a few days to figure out where to eat with the best food. Buffet is mediocre at best, option for eggs or an omelette was our go to. We had great food at the Asian restaurant and pretty decent food at the steak house, although steak is cheaper cuts and are fatty. Horrible experience at the Italian restaurant, definitely do not recommend, not sure how they manage to make pasta taste so horrible. We’ve stayed here twice now and usually our only complaint is we wish they would bring on top tier food manager who understood they need to have a few stand out food options which make their guests dream of coming back. Room service is absolutely disgusting! We tried everything during our last stay and literally tasted a single bite of each it was just gross and looked as bad as it tasted…literally even the nachos!! The bars do a good job and the bartenders are great, but don’t expect top shelf booze of any kind unless you’re paying for prestige membership which gives you access to the bar with better quality booze. That said, if you’re not a big drinker then the well booze probably won’t bother you. Overall we’ve had two good trips here and would recommend.
I will not go back
Food was disgusting, shows were terrible. Room service was horrible the food tasted old. Repeated the same shows over and over. Never again will i stay here
Hello, The property is pretty rundown and the main pool was often dirty. When we arrived- we asked to upgrade our room to an ocean view which we paid extra for, but when we checked in- we ended up with a corner room with a resort view and a partial ocean view. The other family we traveled with had the same room but on the floor below us. They didn’t pay request an “upgrade” The food at the buffet was not great and they don’t often refill items when they run out or become low. The service was also non-existent at the buffet. The overall service was very disappointing. Most of the servers seemed to not want to be there or very put out when we would ask for anything or extra items. We felt like we were bothering them. Example- We like to buy and order bottles of wine /champagne with our dinners. There was very little to no pool service each day and they do not offer a pool menu or munchies. Also not a fan of not having any bottled water options (even for purchase) especially when several of the water filtration system machines were broken throughout the resort. Things that we found to be great at this resort: The Kids Club and the women who work there. They are wonderful and nurturing people! The jerk chicken that they grill on the beach daily. So delicious! The entertainment during the day and evening. Our kids loved it!! We were a group of 4 adults and 3 kiddos. We are polite/easy going and great tippers. We will stay at the Hyatt Ziva/Ocho Rios next time.
The property is very beautiful and well-kept. The best part was beach that was wide and clean. We really liked that all restaurants were walk in without reservation that allowed us to try almost all of them. I was not impressed by the breakfast but lunch was really good. The biggest minus was not the best evening entertainment. During day the team was ok but in the evening it was not good at all. We were in Iberostar Maya and it was so much better. Otherwise, we will definitely recommend this property and we had great time.
The property is fine but not too notch. A lot of grass and sod is dead around the property, fountains don’t work or aren’t turned on and the lazy river was out of commission for several days we were there. The phones in our room didn’t work and comically the phone in the bathroom wasn’t even connected to any wires! Hopefully no one tries to use it in an emergency. Things that I would like liked to know from reviews before going: They have an environmental focus and therefore don’t have straws or paper napkins (except at breakfast buffet). It can make drinking slushie drinks like daiquiris and pina coladas hard - so bring your own straw or cup with straw for you and others in your party. They have an app with the entertainment schedule but they don’t follow it! Entertainment activities take place but not necessarily the date or time in the app. You just have to hang around the pool to hear what they’re announcing and hope you’re there when there’s something you want to do. There is a lot of tipping going on. Much more than we have experienced at other Caribbean AIs so be prepared with small USD. However, they do have an ATM on site and the front desk can change the $20s to smaller bills. It wasn’t that hard to get into the restaurants. Either show up right when they open at 6 or sign in later knowing you may have a 40 min wait and have a drink in the lobby bar while you wait. They sometimes bring around popcorn in the lobby bar which is nice.
Awesome time ! Great staff
While working out, I placed a weight plate on a different weight location. A gym worker doing his workout taped me on my shoulder and in a rude way stated „there is another rack there this weight doesn’t fit here.” I agree with placing the weights back but I disagree with his mean demeanor.
I loved the star camp for kids, they hsd a blast and it was very convenient
Staff very sweet and friendly. Very good variety of food and drinks.
Good could have more variety in the buffet. Very repetitive.
I like that the resort is practicing sustainability. The Jamaican food is awesome. I just wish they serve more Jamaican dishes. Also, they did not have shrimp. I asked the chef and he made shrimp dish fir me. There is some wear and tear on their furniture need to be replaced. I dont know why the resort has to play Hispanic music when we are in Jamaican. Ive been to Mexico and they never played Jamaican music so it shouldn't be played in Jamaica. All in all the is one of the best resort in Jamaican.
The quality of service at this hotel has definitely gone down. My room was not as requested.
The property was nice. The food was not good at all.
This property is excellent. The pools and beach are easily accessible from all the rooms. The service is exceptional. It is very clean and offers a wide variety of food. Will definitely go back.
The property was well maintained and beautiful. The bathrooms were nice but the paint job was messy and lacked a professional finish. The hallway carpet had a wet odor which was unpleasant
The property is beautiful and the beach is right there. This resort is big so be prepared to do a lot of walking. The food and drinks are great! Plenty of options of food and several restaurants to choose from.
My family of 6 (3 rooms) stayed in the Suites for 4 nights over Xmas. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the restaurants were average to above average and our rooms were excellent. The only complaint I have (if you can even call it that!) was that the rooms were freezing.
The property was beautifully decorated. The staff was awesome, the food was average but i give that a pass. My disappointment was the mini bar was stocked with mostly sodas. When i first visited in 2013 there was alcoholic beverages in the rooms that i no longer the case. I convinced my friends to book the hotel based on that. Next time we will have to research and dont book base on pass experience.
Shot for the moon, hit the stars
Room - average. Yes it was a junior suite. That's what I booked but 2 double beds? That's not good at all. Yes they offered to push the 2 together. Umm. No thanks. This is not a sleepover. The crack in the. Middle would be uncomfortable. Yes I was warned that what I requested may not be available so they covered themselves from that pov. Nice bathroom. Hit tub separate from shower. Basic bathroom amenities. Nothing to rave about but it did the intended job. Kudos on trying to be eco-friendly. Food - buffet breakfast in main hall was the star here. Friendly staff. Wide variety and well prepared. Great service as well. You saved the service score breakfast team. Did one dinner reservation. Started out well then went downward fast. So finished appetizers and main course with 45 or so minutes. After waiting approximately 20 minutes for dessert I got up and left. Thankfully the other star of the show - the cafe - was still open. They are 24 hours. I took some of their desserts and a frappé to satisfy my dessert craving. Poor show Aunty Ruby restaurant. Do better. Hotel itself although dated is well maintained and clean. They need to put up more signs up to direct guests to the various locations esp of the restaurants. Spent nearly 15 minutes trying to find Ruby. All in all a good stay, not fantastic, but decent 3.5-4 stars.
Very nice property with a number of fun activities. All of the restaurants were delicious. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Things move at a bit slower pace so once you adjust to that it’s all good!
Overall Excellent
Second time there.Great experience would highly recommend
Great !
Refreshing getaway
We were pleasantly surprised with the customer service, activities and facilities provided. Friendly and attentive staff. Variety of food options. Although there’s a minibar fridge in the room, they installed a colder fridge for our toddler’s medication, which was greatly appreciated. The grounds are extensive and while relaxing by the pool, the staff checked on us and took our drink orders and brought them to us in no time. Will certainly return.
Great location by the beach. Great staff and clean environment. I will recommend Iberostar suites to any person. We had a great time there
Dont under any circumstance agree to the breakfast sales program they will bug you over and over as the say its a reminder to be a the breakfast. They are very pushy. Wait staff was excellent in the food areas. Food was ok just adverage.
Love the outdoor spaces
=
Everything was fine, staff was amazing and super kind the entire time. They key cards are sensitive and we had to replace them a couple of times, the tv and outlets didn’t work on one whole side of the room… I didn’t complain because I was so busy and distracted with having a good time outside of the room.
The property was fine, but returning to the place we got married at 10 years ago it was odd that we had to constantly remind staff that we were there to celebrate something special (this was also stated in our reservation notes and we mentioned it when checking in). I would also recommend a few updates for to the room cosmetics. It was also unfortunate that majority of the staff were not very friendly.
Great facility, great staff, great time. Fun and relaxing.
We stayed at the suites. Beautiful property and staff was amazing. Staff was responsive to all of our needs. Beach was beautiful and scenic from every room. My only even better was the food in the restaurants wasn’t great. I will definitely be returning.
Everything is perfect.i will come again on Christmas day.

I enjoyed myself immensely, the rooms needed some upgrades but the grounds, food and drinks made up for everything.
