It is quite beautiful at this Hotel... Staff was friendly and service was excellent... Food choices were great the best was the French Restaurant delicious!!! We would love to visit again sometime!!
The food was just not very good and the service not friendly. Most of the people were just not happy to be working there.
Everything about this resort is wonderful with the nicest staff. They treat you like family.
Truly enjoyed our stay
Stayed here for 4 nights, the resort was a total disappointment in terms of daily entertainment, drinks(cocktails), and service. Their daily entertainment was boring and seemed repetitive. Adult parties at Zilara were equally bad(you would know what parties are if you've stayed at any Riu resort). Secondly, the drinks they made were the worst I've ever had at any resort. How can you go wrong with a simple margarita, forget expecting a good tasting mojito or something. If you want a tequila shot, they don't even have a slice of lime available to go with it, absolutely ridiculous. Thirdly, their service was below par. The staff needs to be more professional/trained. Almost every server seemed like they are doing you a favor, that is not what is expected from Hyatt brand. Even found some drunk bartenders at parties lol. Highly unprofessional ethics practiced at this resort. The only good part was Adreene at Choicez restaurant who went above and beyond for making our occasion special. And yes, the location gets 10/10. Other than that, I wouldn't want to stay here again.
The food needs to be better. Rooms a bit old.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend. We were there for a wedding and ot was wonderful.
Everything was great , especially the staff
Excellent location dedicated , friendly staff chefs, managers
Service was great with all members regardless of where or what area
We liked our stay
This property is beautiful, the Ziva is older (built in 70's) of the two hotels and very grand. It is family-oriented so a little busier and noisier and though we went as a couple, our accommodations were at Ziva. Our room was comfortable with views of pools and ocean from lovely balcony; updated bathroom. The Zilara is all adults, newer facility and has adult oriented activities. The grounds are beautifully tended with palm trees and flowering shrubs everywhere. We enjoyed the variety and quality of food at the restaurants especially Flavorz, French and Italian restaurants. Also enjoyed breakfast daily at Choicez and the amazing coffee at Aromaz and Grindz espresso bars. The staff was friendly, helpful and plentiful at the restaurants and in general throughout the resort. Plan to visit Jamaica again and will definitely stay at Zelara in the future!
There air conditioning was cutting off and no one came to cut on the ceiling fan.
The staff at Hyatt Ziva was amazing!! So kind and helpful. At the front desk Saddaiah and Micha are AMAZING!!! Thank you ladies for everything.
Excellent
2nd time staying here, absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing.
I am sitting in the lobby waiting to head to the airport. I'm so sad to leave. We had a wonderful vacation. I thought the resort was great. The Zilara and Ziva are a shared Hyatt resort. Everything is available on birth. The pool areas were very clean with lots of chairs and space. This time of year is maybe less busy. There is a constant breeze in July that made it so comfortable. We enjoyed the food. I thought it was better than other resorts I've been to. The beach has a choice so even though the ocean was rough, the beach area was calm for swimming. We had ajr double suite which was spacious and comfortable. Our room was in the rose hall building. Our balcony overlooked the entertainment area plus we were in the building with most of the restaurants. After the entertainment ended at 10pm it was very quiet. Most of the staff is very friendly. There are plenty of bars and staff goes around the pool area taking orders. If I had to come up with a complaint the only thing I can think of is it was slow to get a cup of coffee in the morning at the buffet restaurant and no other restaurants have coffee with dinner. They can get you one from the desert shop but again that takes time. Overall this is a fabulous place for a relaxing vacation. I would definitely come again.
The people are great the food is good
Overall nice experience.
Great vacation!
Highly recommend this property. The staff were very nice and helpful. The entertainment each night was great and the property was extremely clean
We loved the resort and all the restaurants! 5 star for sure. Didn’t need being approached by sales people promoting most likely next visits or Time Shares. Will return.
We were very disappointed with the quality of the food. Rooms were clean but old. Got the sense that managment is not investing in this property or concerned about keeping up w the other resorts in the area. This is disapointing given the price. Iberostar has far superior food quality, choice and presentstion.
Staff was excellent.
My family and I had a great experience here! Definitely will stay again :)
This property is absolutely beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly. The beach is stunning and we enjoyed our first trip to Jamaica immensely.
The hotel was perfect for a family vacation - the grounds were expansive and clean; the staff was polite and friendly; and the food options were tasty and plentiful. Would recommend the resort to any family looking for a safe island escape!
The property was beautiful. Usually any place you see people hosting wedding festivities is a good choice for a brief stay. The staff could assist with a bit more urgency however.
Overall, it's a nice property. However, I booked a King room. After a 12 minute walk to my room, I got to the room and it was 2 double beds. I had to wait 30 minutes in line for a table at brunch, and then another 15 minutes for an omelette. Gabriel at the front desk was probably the highlight of my stay. She went above and beyond. Overall, the staff don't go above and beyond, which I understand given they're making $90 USD / Week. (I was told this by my taxi driver who used to work there).
Compared to other years, I think the quality of food and entertainment has decreased.
Ceiling Leaking / Major Water Issues
First night there my ceiling was dripping water which caused a wet hallway that my 2yr old slipped and fell on. Resulting in her injuring her nose. They put me in a lower level /grade room - the first of which had a terrible odor of bleach - the 2nd one was on the opposite side of the resort away from my family and they still are charging me for the first night. When I did get into my new room the following day, it had no hot water in the shower. There were several managers on duty that all had to hear what happened multiple times. I really wanted to enjoy this trip but it was riddled with hotel issues.
The shows and activities. I didn't like the service in particular at the buffet.
Had a great visit except for a couple cold showers.
Some of the staff was not friendly at all. Some were very friendly. Hyatt should look into customer service training.
The hospitality was outstanding! I can't wait to return.
Nice property. It’s not perfect but you can tell it was posh in it’s hay day- could use renovations to upgrade the overall ambiance. The staff makes the experience wonderful, except for one front desk lady who had an attitude. All the other staff- Otis (bell man), Janice (Playa Rep), Cleopatra (Playa Agent) were excellent and genuine. My masseuse, Kaydean (pronounced Kay-deen) was absolutely amazing!!! I had the Rum Rub and Scrub and Kaydean was excellent. I think I fell asleep for a moment while she did my massage! Our room was nice (Oceanview double room) but as I mentioned previously, it could use some updating. Overall a nice stay. The staff is lovely!
Property was incredible
Overall it was a cool experience. Food was good and had good vibes. We were on the 5th floor and our room smelled like mild dew and bathroom wasn’t the cleanest. But we made do lol
My room smelled like mold and that triggered my allergies really bad causing a sinus infection. Other than that the property is beautiful! Great food! The staff is amazing and entertaining!
Hyatt ? Luxury brand, don’t think so. Customer service was bad! I had been to Jamaica and this was not the experience I had before. But they all seen like they were force to work. We had to birthday celebrations, which were mention at check-in and at the reservation for all the restaurants and nothing was done! The first night that we had dinner we kept calling the waitress to remind them that we had two birthdays. The food was okay! Not hype at all. Some food weren’t cooked properly since they wanted to rush things. The money spend was not worth it at all. There is so much more to mention.
The hotel staff and facilities were great. The food at the buffet had a wide variety and everything was good.
The food was GREAT!!!
Resort was okay but not worth the price nor time to travel there. The majority of the staff were lazy and unfriendly. Won't be returning.
Please Improve.
I recently stayed at Hyatt Ziva Rose. First- it was a bit costly via hotels.com. I had stayed here in 2019, and had a great experience. I had a suite and my room was nice. Furniture was old and rickety. The plumbing also was poor. Tub stopper needed rubber ring replaced. And overhead shower pressure was so low, we couldn’t use it. Also face sinks drained slowly. The hotel main food area serves hot dogs and old looking burgers nightly. Where is the authentic Jamaican food?? Where are the oxtails, curry goat?? Who wants a hot dog??? That needs to improve! Flowers and decor was amazing. Infused water was great and everywhere. Please put a vegetable at the jerk hut. Cabbage or corn please. Upgrade your food. It’s bringing you down bi expect more from Hyatt. I will NOT stay here again.
Property had some water problems, elevator was out for almost a day due to water issues and then on Saturday morning woke up to find massive flooding on the first floor. Water issue with elevator was before it began raining, They could also be a bit more friendly to wheelchair guests. In any event property could use a slight refurbishment. Water in one of the jacuzzi’s was tepid at best. Anyway still enjoyed the visit but, maybe it was more that I enjoyed Jamaica one of the most gorgeous places on earth.
Excellent service
Everyone was friendly
The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Food was amazing. I would recommend the buffet though over the reservation dining restaurants.
Staff was awesome
We stayed in Hyatt Ziva for a week. Everything was good but the beach and the room. The beach had limited area to swim and a lot of seaweeds. The room was not that nice and new as you can see in the pictures. The pools were very nice and we enjoyed swimming there. We liked the daily entertainments.
Wonderful all inclusive resort, extensive food selection, high quality entertainment, numerous pool and beach options
Nice staff, excellent food and clean property. Ground floor rooms need to be checked.. we had to change from a ground floor room to a 3rd floor room as there was a sewage smell. The rooms however are clean and high quality. No entertainment at nights but very good restaurants.
This property was beautiful and I would definitely recommend.
Amazing stay! Staff are so friendly and kind. Food was amazing on the resort and many options available. Because access is provided to the adults and family side of the resort there were a lot of options for entertainment. Speacial note to a few staff that made for such a fun and entertaining experience. Delando, Daniel, Gabriel.
This is my third time with hotel Ziva of which I consider family. I always enjoy myself, that is why I return to the properties.
Best vacation ever. Was there with my kids, they enjoyed the resort to the fullest. The staff was AMAZING. They made the experience extra special. Can’t wait to go back
it was really nice, i didn't even kno i got a swim up but it was perfect.
The rooms can be updated but besides that everything was great. I’ll definitely stay there again
I really loved their food and everything was clean in the rooom as well!!
We went there as a family of 10 people including 6 adults and 4 kids, we booked 3 rooms. We had loads of fun. Resort staff was very nice and polite. I want to bring attention towards dining service, we all are vegetarian and need special food, resort dining accommodated our dietary requirements and prepare every day customize food special thanks to food department manger Mr. Partha and chef Israeli. We will return again.
Would highly recommend a lot of amenities and activities and Food was delicious.
NO HOT WATER FOR 2 AND HALF DAY
Overall loved the property
I'll start by saying the staff were great and very friendly. Overall, all things considered, I would rate our stay as average mainly due to the employees. We did have some issues checking in as our reservation couldn't be found in the hotel's system, and the first room we were given had a giant water leak in the ceiling. The rooms/lodging areas definitely need a renovation as they are run down.
love the food overall good 🙏
It’s really great experience!! The staff is too good and polite
I don’t know where to start I guess with how the person that Following delivered distilled water to my room, but didn’t make sure the door shut behind them left the room wide open that was for starters the air conditioning in the room pathetic the food disappointing on average. Most of the staff was miserable.can say for a Hyatt it was pretty bad
The property was beautiful, the food options were great. Our son loved the Kids Club. They had room service and many options for a la carte food. We enjoyed our stay!
Good
Room was good for was excellent and staff was good too
Excellent in every category. The staff were always courteous and attentive to our every need. The breakfast, lunch, snack and fine dinning dinner options were exquisite and freshly made. The facilities were well kept and clean at all times. The breathtaking shoreline of Montego Bay was just gorgeous. Overall, a 5-star vacation experience worth another visit very soon.
Beautiful resort. Good was very good. Everyone very friendly
Service was excellent, Food excellent
No cometan nuestro mismo error. Hay muchos lugares con mares iguales de lindos pero con mucha mejor calidad de hoteles.
Staff great very clean beach was beautiful no seaweed or rocks
Everything was GREAT
This is a nice hotel. However, they have company in the hotel. That is pretty annoying. They push you to purchase a package that’s similar to a timeshare package for vacationing. I think that’s very tacky to bother people on their vacation. While they’re trying to enjoy their self the food Was OK. I’ve had a lot better. I did not like that you had to make reservations for your dinner every night. Also, keep an eye on your bill because they will added a lot of items on our bill that we did not purchase … be careful and check your bill the night before you leave so that you will have enough time to resolve any issues before you leave the property. I’ve been to Jamaica before and I stay at a different hotel. I enjoyed it much better. I will not be returning to this hotel ever thank you.
The food is too spice with no options
Everything was great. The only thing is that the room we were given had a scent like something mildewy. We were accommodated with another room but it gave the same scent. I think it could from the ventilation. Be advised not all rooms were like this. My parents room was fine.Aside from that the staff were impeccable service to entertainment was great vibes. I miss Jamaica already!!
It was a short stay but the staff was polite and I enjoyed the facilities.
I enjoyed the stay. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.
Wonderful stay
I love the staff, they were all so friendly and kind. My only complaint was the hot water and the pressure of the water being so low. It took hours for the water to get flowing and to heat up. Basically the whole time we were there it was so frustrated, my fiancé and I get up as early as 4 in the morning just to leave it running so it can get hot. The morning we were leaving I turned the water on at 4, only to have it slowly started to get warm 3 hours later. Not happy at all. Not a good experience, Very inconvenient.
The music wasn’t enough of the Jamaican culture. Not a big selection of Caribbean food and music.
Playa tried to scam us on day one with timeshare.
Lack of vegetarian
The property is beautiful, but the room for the price need much improvement. I had cold water in my room for the duration of my stay. They knew about it and didn’t offer me a different room. Very disappointed for a beautiful resort!
No hot water until the last night of my stay
Overall the property is well kept. My only issue is the main lobby/check-in area is very hot. There are no ceiling fans or air conditioner to cool the area.
We've been there for the past 2 years and love the place and the staff. Looking forward to #3
We had a great experience at this property. This is our third time going there. The resort is beautiful and the food was excellent. Also, the cocktails were great. I would recommend this resort.
This is our 5th visit and we enjoyed everything.
This hotel is a 5/5 Staff was super nice and helpful. Everything was available for you to do on the resort. If you left the resort they made sure to know who you left with and made sure you returned safe. Food was superb !!Highly recommend
This resort was overpriced. The facilities are not up to par, and the AC didn’t work as well outside the rooms. You can find a better option for these prices. However, the food was amazing, and the staff was very nice and professional.
Overall it was a good place to stay. The staff is really friendly and they had decent food options. The only thing is that this resort is a bit dated, rooms smell a bit moldy, after a day or two, you don’t notice it as much. The beach area is small but during our stay that wasn’t a problem since it wasn’t crowded. Wait times for food at the restaurants are a bit long, which was a bit inconvenient traveling with babies. I’d recommend booking for the earliest time. I feel that for the price the shuttle should be included but it’s an extra $39 per person (round trip). Our friends staying at an upgraded room with ocean view didn’t have hot water in the shower but they fixed it as soon as we made them aware of it, which was appreciated.
Everyone was so good to me and I’ll forever appreciate it. Especially the front desk girls
Overall, the resort was great and we had a goid experience. Staff were respectful and friendly. What disappointed us was the food quality. The foods did not taste good and the buffet food variety was low.
Amazing Stay will return!
This was my second time staying at the Hyatt. My first experience was absolutely amazing which made me want to return. This second stay, my room had no AC and I was offered no alternative accommodation. On three different occasions I spoke with staff about the AC and was told and engineer would be sent to the room to take care of it. I later asked for a fan and they gave me one. I had to have it blowing directly on me in order for me to sleep comfortably at night. I also had to kill a roach. My friends that traveled along with me saw roaches in their rooms as well. Overall the staff were amazing. I just wish the AC situation was handled differently especially with the amount of money I spent on my suite.

Nice place
