Just OK

We hadn’t stayed at a Hyatt Place for awhile but it was rated highest at this location so we thought we’d give it a try. While the room was quite nice, (but something gross looking splattered on the lamp) the bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom needs repair. The room just looked like it wasn’t cleaned properly.

The staff are always nice and helpful. The breakfast is great. My favorite place to stay in Columbus when I visit my son and his family.

Every employee was very accommodating especially Angel at check in and during our stay. Angel personalizes with us every time we stay!

This is my favorite place to stay in Columbus. If their price is too high I do go to another hotel but I do try to look at this one first. My son has been stationed at Columbus AFB for 3 years now so we come to visit often

The entire staff here is polite and helpful in way that is original other than scripted which gave a feeling of home!

The bathroom was FILTHY! There is hair in the sink and shower and dried on pee on the toilet. The inside of the drawers are dirty and the hanging closet is musty/moldy. Also, they do not have hypoallergenic pillows. They are all feather. How do you make allowances for those with allergies? The front desk lady on afternoon shift was rude at check in and rude when I asked for a non feather pillow (which they don't have). Bed mattresses are very hard. We won't stay here again.

Hotel is full even with reservation

I have stayed at this hotel twice in two months. During our first stay the staff attempted to put us in a single King when our reservation was for two queen due to us traveling with children. When we requested the correct room we were told they were fully booked and could not accommodate. Thankfully, they were able to find a room that was available on the first floor. This was after a day of travel and close to midnight with our kids. Our second stay was no better.

Love the lobby sitting area. Spacious and quiet. Ideal for small family gathering.

All the staff was very kind. The hotel was comfortable and safe and we will stay again!

It was a short stay and was ok. Beds not comfortable and under maintained

They had a real problem in checking people in after 3 PM. Many people had to wait two hours for the room to be available. Showers floor was moldy and cracked tile. All that said, the rest of room was perfect and the staff was great.

Do Not Recommend.

5am wake up cannot come soon enough. Do not stay here. This hotel is in disrepair. Stain on couch. Ice maker not working. Sheets have a stain on one of the beds. Will not be using that bed. Shower doesn’t drain properly so water builds up in tub. So we won’t use the shower. Closet smells horrible. Someone propped open the back door with a rock. We removed it and reported it to the front desk. They said it was housekeeping “not to worry” I am worried because there are lots of empty liquor bottles outside that door and the hotel locks all doors at night but if someone props it open the property is not secure. The front desk did not care. Cannot believe I used hotel.com rewards on this! What a waste. And final straw is that teenagers are running up and down the halls screaming and Slamming doors. Etc. The toilet ran all night. Hotel was reportedly full so unable to get a new room.

Wonderful stay in Columbus. Delicious breakfast included in the price. Clean, quiet, great a/c!

Our bathroom door was broken upon arrival and we booked through hotel.com but were charged twice. Once by hotel.com and Hyatt Place also charged us. Be careful booking with Hotel.com because they might charge you twice.

There was no AC in the lobby for the three night stay we were there. I was asked if I wanted daily housekeeping when I checked in and I said yes. I did not receive daily housekeeping. I had to go down to the front desk and ask to get housekeeping the next day. Do not charge me full price when I do not receive full service. Never returning.

Terrific, helpful and professional staff. Quiet stay as well. Lot's of dining options nearby and the breakfast at the hotel was nice.

I have stayed there previously. It was a comfort to know the hospitality is always the same.

Good location

It was the usual Hyatt with the nice room design. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that it was close to the highway and we could walk to Longhorn. The carpets are beginning to show some wear and the common areas weren’t so clean.

The nicest and customer service oriented employees

Overall good. The carpet was not as fresh as it should have been. There was evidence that a pet had been in the room we had.

Great location all around from ambiance to service

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is new but did have signs that maintenance is lacking - air conditioning and toilet not working in the first room (they did immediately relocate us to a room that was fine), one of the elevators was out of service, and the spring on the room door wouldn't automatically close.

Bathroom sink had hair in it, shower tiles are cracked. The room had an opened soda can still cold in it at arrival. Front desk personnel is very friendly, but otherwise I was not impressed.

Going to pass on this one in the future

Hotel is dated looking. Beds are rock hard and the breakfast selection was lacking. Ended up moving to another hotel that was much nicer for less money.

Reserved a room and the hotel had no rooms to give me. Slept in my car.

Staff here is super sketchy

Booked a room for the weekend for my son. Wanted him to scout the location for me, prior to booking a weekend event for 100 people. So glad I investigated. Upon arriving for check-in, the front desk staff said that because he lived within 50 miles he was required to pay a $250 CASH deposit, in addition to the already fully paid reservation. When I got on the phone, they said they would make an exception to their "policy" and accept a credit card. They said the card normally needs to be physically present, but I insisted that if I could pay for the room remotely with a card, then I should be able to do the same with this deposit. After scouring their website, I confirmed that the only policy listed had to do with pets. When I went to the hotel the following week and asked to see any written evidence on the website or on paper of this "policy," they had nothing. The manager on duty got extremely agitated and rude and said they could charge anyone anything they wanted and could even refuse service. I explained I was simply trying to get confirmation of the "policy" that have been communicated, to ensure that someone wasn't trying to rip me off. These guys seem to be making up policies on the fly and hoping to do who knows what with the cash they convince people to hand over. My guess is the cash would get "lost." Do not trust this staff. This place is super sketchy.

Great stay!

Everything about this place was great! The service was unmatched and the facilities were clean and neat.

Great staff! Comfortable bed. Only drawback was the tiny space between the shower and sink where the toilet got placed. My husband, a six foot tall man with athletic build, barely fit in the space. Just a poor design. But the staff and location were outstanding!

The hotel has a nice lobby and dining area. This is the best part of the hotel. The rooms are very plain at best and dated and a little worn. Ice is on 3 and 4 floors with the 3rd being out of order. Parking is congested and fills up quickly. This is in a great location and just needs a little updating and it will be as good as any

We had a double queen room and it was HUGE! It was so spacious and could have easily fit 6 with the pull out couch. I absolutely love this hotel!

The property needs to be renovated.

Decent hotel. Probably the best in the area. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Priced too high for the area. Rooms clean, but walls and doors are beat up. Bugs in bathroom. Empty soap canisters. Would definitely rate it around 3.5 stars. Decent breakfast. Not as many options as other 4-5 star hotels. Overall a good hotel, just not what I would expect for a Hyatt and the high price. Prices definitely need to come down at least $20 a room a night.

I gave this property 4 stars because it’s just not a 5 star property. It’s not even a 4 star property in many areas. But, it is as nice as it gets in this area. And, the staff were all very attentive and nice. Definitely a good stay for families and business travelers in the area.

My stay at this hotel started out wrong because I made reservations for Saturday instead of Friday, but the front desk staff was so helpful and helped me resolve the issue quickly. The staff at this hotel is amazing, they greeted us with smiles and the hotel and the rooms were so nice and clean. The breakfast was great! Overall this hotel scores an A with me.

Quiet, clean, courteous, convenient to shopping.

Elevator did not work for a little while and that was a bummer. No ice in the ice machine. Everything else was okay.

Positive: The two rooms we got were extra spacious and quiet. Not so good: The rooms were "dated" -- old carpet, very dimly lit. The ice machine was broken and the complimentary breakfast was below average.

The agents at the front counter were very friendly but the hotel itself wasn’t up to par. Room service was requested but not done on day two. Upon returning to the room and seeing that it hadn’t been completed, I requested towels and they were out of certain sizes. Not pleased with this visit.

Very disappointed

On the first floor and window shade wouldn’t close. People walking by looking through window into room. No maintenance available to fix and no other room available. My wife and I had to hang a bed sheet over the window l. Spoke to the manager the next day and received empty promises about a complimentary stay. Very disappointed

The property was very clean and the room was spacious.

The room was SO HOT due to the fact that the only vent in the room blew over the desk and no where near either of the two beds.

It was just okay. Ice machines were out of order, lamps did not work. Plugs by the bed did not work. Booked a king and received two queens. Room was nice enough, bathroom needs updating. No shower gel in the dispenser.

Nice ambiance when you walk into the lobby. Rooms have a unique layout which lends nicely to allowing one person to sleep while others sleep. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. LocTed adjacent to shopping and restaurants.

The front desk staff was very nice. Unfortunately when we arrived they didn’t have our reservation, I’m not sure if that was their fault or hotels.com fault. They were able to find us a room but it wasn’t what I requested or paid for. The bathroom was not clean, nothing bleach couldn’t fix. There was no hand soap in the bathroom either. There was also stains on the couch. Unfortunately we were there for a funeral and the last thing I wanted to deal with was the place we’re staying not being clean or difficulty checking in.

Great place to stay. Did not like that we were placed in a handicap room with asking if it was okay.

Because of the storm, the televisions did not work. Nothing was mentioned at check in. Tried getting tv to work and eventually had to call front desk to find out why. Beyond that, really enjoyed hotel.

Good hotel

Staff was nice and polite. Breakfast was quite good, with a variety of freshly prepared items. Location is good just off Hwy 45 and close to shopping and restaurants.

Room was nice. The bathroom area did not make sense at all to me. Could barely sit in the toilet seat. I'm not heavy set in a muscular guy with a husky build. Room was clean. Just really could not understand the placement of the toilet. Terrible design.
