Staff was excellent and location was perfect.
Excellent service
Great hotel
The Hyatt Centric has no care for the hospitality of their patrons. Adeel, a manager at this location, has no business being in the hospitality industry as he has no interest in taking care of the clients of the hotel or addressing issues they have
Close to affordable parking.
Small tv’s and shower heads
Hotel was nice. Parking at hotel was pricey but a $30 less a day option available a few blocks away. The shower only had a tiny rain head shower from the ceiling, very disappointed. A small like 42 inch tv and its placement was across the room and not in front of the bed.
Excellent location, 5 min walk to Pier 39 and other main attractions, 12 min ride to the Golden Gare Bridge.
Professionalism of the staff. Cleanliness of the room
Just couple blocks from Pier 39 so great location. The staff was very helpful with questions about the area.
We were disappointed with our stay here. The hotel was in fairly poor condition. The rooms were very old and in bad need of renovation. The area surrounding the hotel was fairly dirty and struggling with a large homeless population, many of whom were camped out in tents on the sidewalks.
Convenient location.
Great stay! Great location!
This hotel is comfortable and the location is excellent! We stayed 5 nights for a thorough visit to the city and enjoyed our stay. We felt very comfortable. The restaurant is a nice bonus feature of this hotel. Very cozy ambiance. They gave us umbrellas when it rained and provided us with local discounts, maps, and restaurant recommendations The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. I would improve the hotel furniture, however, which was plain and a little worn in my room. A mini fridge in the room would have been nice too. Overall great experience, and I would come back to the Hyatt Centric.
Nice hotel. Restaurant not open for lunch. Music played to loud in lobby, restaurant door out to street lets in cold air…Room was very nice cleaned room every day..
Reasonably priced, clean and comfortable rooms, many dining options.
Clean and large rooms
Very good. Expensive and not included breakfast
Very bad experience
Our stay was amazing. The staff gave us pointers about the city that enhanced our stay greatly. Because of this is WA a truly special trip fur my daughter and I.
Not a 4 star hotel
Great
I was greeted by staff when i arrived. My room was clean and a comfortable. This hotel is walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. I would definately recommend the Hyatt Centric hotel.
Not worth it, stay somewhere else
The pictures online are very misleading. My room was run down and old. The water pressure was awful and I could barely rinse out my hair. I had a co-worker stay with me in this hotel on the same floor and she had a better room, so maybe I just got a crappy room. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant food was no good, my calamari was soggy and gross. The server we had was quite rude as well. I have stayed at other Hyatt Centric's in the past and been very please, but this one needs an overhaul. I will not be staying here again.
Cleaning staff was terrific. They were always working and accessible in the halls if you needed something. We couldn’t locate our coffee maker and at one point needed more towels. We are elderly and had to change rooms to be closer to the elevator. This was done to our satisfaction with the help of the night registration guy.
Good
We stayed 5 nights and it was very comfortable and convenient for all of our activities that we had planned. We could walk right to the wharf and piers to catch our ferry transportation for tours . There were many restaurants and shopping all within walking distance . Staff were courteous and helpful . Room was nice and beds were comfortable. It was very quiet at night . Being able to text anything for hotel services was easy and helpful . I would recommend staying at this hotel .

Beautiful hotel and very clean
Part of why I booked this hotel was for the hot tub, which is advertised as an amenity and therefore increased the cost of the stay. However, the hot tub was out of service during my stay, which was disappointing.
Bday/30 years in America Visiting Asian Art Museum
I choose this location to visit Asian Art Museum to celebrate my bday and 30 yrs in America. This location is close to Wharf/water/Gate etc, feel very safe and walkable. Great location. The service and ambience is a bit below my expection of Hyatt. It is great they gave us a 12:30pm early check in and 12pm late check out, front desk Ashnay is very accommodating to give us a free room/parking upgrade, coupon for Pier 39... will recommend hotel valet parking... free bike rental is very nice... generally I am happy with the hotel except not too impressive lobby, and no any drinks in the morning, not even water, let alone coffee or any sort... at night there was a apply cider that we have to wait for about 10 minutes. Room is decent size, clean and comfy and quiet... except bathroom sink too shallow.
Wonderful hotel, staff was lovely and room was very clean!
Nice clean hotel close to pier 39 , shopping, restaurants
Ok
I booked this hotel because it had a hot tub and it was close to Fisherman’s Wharf. Unfortunately, their hot tub was not working. I wish I would’ve known this before so I would’ve switch the hotel. I was really bummed about the hot tub. Extremely disappointed because I ruined my plan for New Year’s Eve.
Great location close to Pier 39, restaurants, activities, and shopping. Nice accommodations, clean facilities, great pool. Hot tub was closed.
We booked 2 rooms for $490, the second one for $470. The room was not prepared for 3 adults and one child. There were towels, a robe, slippers only for one person. A double room with a view of the city is not worth $470 at all. No view. Everything in the room is old, shabby, and untidy. The jacuzzi is dirty and too small. The elevator is dirty. This was the most negative experience we have ever had. I definitely do not recommend this hotel and I do not understand how it got such a high rating.

Hotel looks and feels a bit shabby. Staff wasn’t rude, but was far from friendly. The spa was broken, which was a HUGE selling point on why we booked there.
Needs updating. Room description is not accurate. Slightly overpriced. But overall an average stay in a nice location. Very walkable neighborhood and close to everything one may want or need.
A great getaway!!!
Pleasant & enjoyable stay! We enjoyed the hot apple cider every night! A great stay!
This hotel needs renovation especially the elevator and bathtub. They are old, considering it is Hyatt.
Had everything you needed. Front desk staff can use some warmth towards guests. Found them very cold.
Our valet was super helpful with giving us new ideas for local places to eat & shop. We also tried WAYMO & it was super convenient.
The place hasn’t been renovated for the last 10 years (since 2015 to hotel reservation, end of 2024). There’s scuffs,
The staff was welcoming and share recommendations of activities around the site. As stated by the name, the location its centric and very convenient if you're looking to wader around Pier 39 and vicinities. Recommended.
Great safe location
Loved it here. Definitely would go every time
Modern & comfortable
The front desk workers were amazing!
Nice hotel - love the hot tub and pool. Staff is fantastic - especially front desk people and cleaning staff.
Walkable to shopping, restaurants, cable cars, warf. Staff friendlyand helpful. Rooms clean, comfortable
Hotel is clean, just wished they had better coffee quality. Restaurant inside hotel doesn’t open for lunch 😕 Overall good experience
Very clean rooms and great stat
Loved the location! Close to so much, including the trolley stop. Room was the perfect set up with 1 King and 1 Double. The buffet is a rip off. Don’t get it. $32 a person but you could order a whole meal for way less and no way you could eat $32 worth of food on the buffet. Nice service though. Everyone was very nice.
It was a 10 minute walk to good dining options
Highly recommend. Centrally located
Great location and Clean with all the facilities you need
Quiet and convenient location
Good location, easily accessed to Fishermans wharf. Not too far from Union square via Uber. Cable cars just around around the corner. The area is generally quiet, although if you have a room at front of the building, be prepared to be woken up by people in street in early hours or garbage trucks on street between 4am-6am. Pool was an added extra and even heated which was an added bonus for being the winter months.
Excellent stay
Bed was so comfy. Bar food was lovely. Great location for fisherman’s wharf, Golden Gate Bridge and coffee shops.
It was a great time! Beautiful rooms. Wish the pool was indoor because of the rain but other than that absolutely no complaints!
Nice property, but room smelled a bit funky the pool and hot tub closes way to early.
Destination charge that was not put in the literature. Staff not as friendly as I had hoped.
Not the nicest hotel, surprise fees at desk, hot tub was not hot
Great service
Beautiful hotel in a pleasant location! The hotel room has many updated features. It is comfortable and extremely well maintained. The staff is incredible: kind, helpful and always with a smile! Conveniently located in the hotel is a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. A small convenience store is also on site for snacks, and a microwave to heat up leftovers. Other accommodations include a workout room, pool and guest laundry area. The hotel is located near the wharf. Shopping is close by, as well as a variety of food options. The cruise terminal is also nearby. The Hop On Hop Off Bus is also close by, along with many modes of transportation including the trolley. Rental car agencies are within walking distance from the hotel, as well. Our trip to San Francisco was an extremely pleasant one! The hotel’s atmosphere made each day a great experience for our group of friends and family.
Our room was kinda close to the stair everytime someone will open the door we will hear it closes. The whole night keep waking up.
We didn't stay. The room wasn't that great.
Decent quality and location
Convenient location but inconvenient parking situation and not always a safe walk around the neighborhood. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable.
Valet parking was convenient. Single elevator on reception level was limiting. Walking past street people to go to Starbucks was awkward.
The staff are attentive and friendly. Property is well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
Downgraded just because you use a third party app
The room assigned to me was a queen accessible room although I had a king booked. The lady at reception was not friendly and helpful and told me they have only so many king rooms and because I used a third party app to book the room, I got down graded to make room for their reward members. The room I got is a cheaper room than what I booked and did not get any refund for it. The room had no view and felt like you’re tucked away in a corner of the hotel. Super disappointed.
We loved this hotel and location. Clean, safe hotel with optional valet parking. Walking distance to the Wharf and many dining options.
I have to say, I had promising hopes about the hotel. The staff was lovely and the amenities were fine, however, the noise control was absolutely horrible. You heard not only every on the street, but in the neighboring rooms as well (keeping my husband and I up for hours). Im from New York City, so there is absolutely no doubt that this wasn’t just an individual issue. I’m happy it was only a 1 night stay, but I can assure you I won’t be returning.
It was a great place to stay, comfy beds, amazing helpful concierge, super close to Ghirardelli’s Square, and so clean and quiet. We also loved the restaurant and little shop in the hotel.
Location Good, Staff Good, Room very confusing to get to, like a maze. Bathroom was clean but, tub floor was dirty & grimy.
My brother and I had a GREAT time there. Walkable to to main piers and boardwalk. A block away from the trolley system. Recommend you get the $13 per person all day pass for the "Muni" system. Unlimited rides (rather than $8 per person per trip). Trust me. 😉
Our room was right over the hotel's underground garage exhaust fan. Every 30 or so minutes we'd here the exhaust fan come on for about 10 minutes, night and day. Their older windows could not dampen the sound.
This location was great. A couple blocks from Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square. I did not utilize valet parking so can't tell if that was worth it.
Staff were very pleasant and friendly. The hotel was very clean and quiet.
Great place to stay
Airport Shuttle
Was told there was no airport/hotel/airport shuttle
Can’t complain, very clean and organized
Extremely comfortable
Worst front desk service !! Upon arrival front desk agent says Pool was closed but day of my check out manger says our pool never close so don't knw also electricity went out for more than 4 hours they didn't do anything about it we travel with our little one but they don't care !! Do not stay at this property specially if you are travel with kids not recommended I did complaint but nobody reach me out yet ... worst experience
Great location if you want to enjoy San Francisco Bay!
Location was great. Our room seemed no. Ventilated and smelt terrible like old body odor
Loved the staff
Loved it
We had a larger room - my only complaint was a lack of lighting. We were beside the hot tub so opening blinds were not always an option. But otherwise very happy! Loved the staff, service, robes, etc! Would definitely return!
Easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf.
I specifically chose this hotel because they are advertised as having onsite parking. You have to buy a parking pass separately and they dont have enough spaces for all guests.
Excellent place to stay with kids. We were travelling with a 1year old and a 3 year old and we walked everywhere. Very central.
Great location!
They overbooked so they automatically reassigned us to a cheaper hotel with a cheaper room. It wasn't even in the same location. Seems like such a scam.
all good
Good value for the money. Older property, well maintained. Easy access to Fisherman’s Warf and other attractions.
It was all fine
Great stay & experience. I would go back!
Excellent customer service! However, the bar and restaurant area was too crowded.
A good location.
