Great hotel and staff, almost 5 stars
First and foremost all of the staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly. I tend to gravitate to boutique hotels and this one was one of the better ones I’ve been in. My one critique is with the bathroom barn door. It was a pretty poor design choice in a room with 2 beds to have a bathroom door that doesn’t really close. There is quite a gap. I understand space concerns but there are other solutions.
I liked that they offered bottled water at the desk.
The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The lounge was no longer open and the games room music was on all night and I could hear it in my room.
Rodoba was the best!! ❤️ You should be proud of such a great asset to your company!
I got the Apartment room which was spacious and met my needs.
A very nice hotel in a perfect location!
The rooms are dark and about dank, there's only one food options after 4pm, just not as funky of a hotel as they make out
.
It was okay
my first room had a very bad smell, I changed it but the other room still had that smell to some extend.
Staff good. Bathroom very small. Did not get offered upgrade
Had a good stay at the Zeppelin. All the reviews citing that the area is unsafe were unfounded. There are lots of homeless people in downtown San Francisco but they don’t pose a risk. Like another city in North America that’s priced out people, you just have to be aware of your surroundings as you get up and about.
Great!
We travelled to San Fransisco in late December to visit our daughter for the holidays. Stayed at hotel Zeppelin for 3 nights. I love the character and the amazing decor in the hotel. It was fully decked out for the holidays and looked very festive and cozy at the same time. The staff was very friendly. Our room had a king size bed, desk a couple of chairs, bathroom with a shower (no soaking tub), small closet, big screen TV (regular tv, but you could log into Netflix with your own log in). Downstairs lobby was beautifully decorated and was perfect to hang out with a glass of wine (bring your own, there is no bar on the property). There is a fantastic game room in the basement - not a cheesy arcade, but a bunch of vintage games. Lots of restaurants around, within easy walking distance. I won't look for another hotel on my next visit, this one is perfect.
Cozy and chic
We had a short, overnight stay. Hotel room was small, but stylish and tidy. Staff was friendly. The burgers at the hotel restaurant are amazing!
Modern hotel with several guest amenities in a great location.
We loved the vibe of the hotel lobby and game room and lounge bar areas. The valet was well worth the money. Up on the sixth floor hotel and hallway and room had an old hotel odor. 2 Queen room was itty bitty. Did not look at all like the photo on the website. Still enjoyed the hotel. Not sure we would stay again.
Cute, clean, comfortable hotel. Great staff, beautiful bathroom, nice large shower. Everything is in working order. Close and convenient to many things.
Good Location. Good condition. Easy to get in/out of. Gym well equipped for a small hotel.
Nice stay, good location
Was a nice stay but was surprised by large additional fees when checking in. They said for amenities!
Great hotel
Very good experience overall! All was good! Thanks
Room itself did not look like the pictures on website… Need to update to show what the room actually looks like. Couch in suit needs to be thrown away!! Paint chips on wall very obvious due to the wall being dark green. Bad smell in room to the point of headache. Beds were uncomfortable/ limited bedding/ pillows were not pillowing. Had to request extra blankets no comforters. For the price I payed, I regret getting a suit as it was not worth the price. Staff was great. Game room awesome. Our double queen suite… Not so great… needs a makeover.
Great place
Great place for a good price. Centrally located and I will definitely be staying again. I wish maid service would have stopped by when I was gone the entire day one day, but otherwise everything was very good.
Just wonderful
I really liked the theme and decor, but most importantly, it was very clean and safe. Thanks for the restful stay while I was in San Fran for a conference!
Hotel Zeppelin..Nice Customer Service!!
An inexpensive, fine SF option for young adventurers!
Super friendly staff and very cool game room in the downstairs area!
Great stay!
I enjoyed my stay for my anniversary/birthday outing! The hotel was very nice, the staff was outstanding, and they took great care of us during our stay. The rooms are nice and clean. You are not that far from good food, drinks, and transportation. I would recommend staying here!
Unfortunately its not well run
Uncomfortable - wont come back here.
The rug was very old and hotel has a strange smell when you walk in and in the room. The bed was relatively comfortable but everything looked old. A breakfast cafe was terrible. The staff has no idea how the syatem works but they were flexible with chrck in time. Wifi was not also working well. The location was not so great. It was my first time in San Francisco and it was a mistake i chose this hotel.
Horrible
It was a disaster I went to check in I pre paid with hotels.com I only had a digital card said I need a physical one could not check in no refund $340 down drain
Such a beautiful space. Clean and comfortable rooms. Welcoming staff.
Stylish yet comfortable boutique hotel in the heart of the city with friendly & helpful staff. Absolutely amazing “Smash Burger” at restaurant xoxo
Overall, our stay was ok. Room was small and at times it felt crowded. Pros, super convenient location. Cons, there is a 35usd fee PER DAY you have to pay it even if you dont use the inexistent amenities. Fridge doesnt work, no ice machine available, everytime ice is needed you have to call front desk and ask for it. Front desk staff interactions feel kinda rude or in a rush.
Great hotel, good vibe and amenities. The staff was very good. They list a point due to missing coffee makers in the rooms. The hotel advertises espresso makers but had apparently removed them from the rooms a week before without notice to guests or staff. There was no alternative offered other than coffee in the lobby available in the morning. This is not cool when travelling in business as mornings are busy. I would stay at Zeppelin again but only if coffee maker in the room was available.
Great little hotel close to major spots in San Francisco. Rock themed to make you feel special
We stay here quite often when we’re in SF and always enjoy our stays!
Close to a lot of food options
Great staff and wonderful location close to union square and many restaurant options.
Quirky and functional Great staff Pity that the area around Union Square has become dishevelled, but geographically convenient
An absolute pleasurable experience. From the time we booked online until departure from the hotel, it was a very positive experience. When you’re traveling in unfamiliar areas, lodging has a huge impression on that town and can influence the overall experience as well. The customer service I received the 2 times I called in before my trip was very helpful and friendly. I felt they were going beyond what most would; customer service clearly stills means something at this hotel. Employees servicing the rooms were friendly and willing to accommodate our needs as well. It just felt like people doing what they are suppose to do when in the business of providing service for others, and they did just that, well. The building from outside to in was clean and inviting with lights, smells, artistry, all the things! I certainly hope to stay there again on my next trip to SF. I hope they aren’t booked up, because Hotel Zeppelin is a great place to stay when in SF.
Very happy either the service, staff and location
It was very boutique. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were cute. We didn’t get to use the amenities, but I think it’s cool that they had ski ball and pool in the basement floor.
Clean, comfortable, spacious
Clean room, helpful staff, good water pressure, comfortable bed, nice amount of space, good safe, nice fridge, only negative was that the room was a bit noisy - could just be that I'm not used to air conditioning noise though.
I LOVED Hotel Zellelin. Super cute and classy decor and the game room is really fun!
Loved this hotel, showed up after a long day of travel and Jonathan at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating, really appreciated the top notch service. Cool property with a great on sight game room. Room upgrade and free wine were nice expedia vip perks as well.
Unique deco and art
Employee who checked us in (Jonathan) was very nice. Room AC didn’t work so first night was 77 degrees in the room and miserable. Changed the next day and they were very accommodating. Didn’t get either gold member perks (no wine and no upgrade and we know they had them as they were discussion with a gues the next morning) kinda a bummer since that is why we picked this property.
We booked this hotel for a ladies trip and were very pleased with the property and staff. Great location, easy access to cable cars and trains to/from the airport. The staff sent a welcome text ahead of our stay and had a lovely bottle of Prosecco on ice when we arrived. I'd highly recommend this hotel!
The staff is always incredible and always strive to make you feel welcome and extea special!
Definitely would stay again, staff was friendly overall a good experience, just an issue with parking trying to find parking or dealing with the expense of the parking but nonetheless would stay again
Very clean room and helpful staff members. Perfect for our one night stay.
The hotel is quite ok but check in was slow. Some staff at reception were not helpful. There is a lady who is almost asleep at reception and is so slow with any of the things you ask her. The day of check out i asked for help to move 4 large bags but no one came. I got all my bags down and there was no help for the very smart gentlemen at the counter to help get my bags into the taxi. The bags even rolled down the hill! The area around the hotel has many homeless people and probably drug addicts. It felt very unsafe. Late at night I heard people going through the trash to recover empty bottles. The sound of traffic flows into the room. I was on the 4th floor. There are many small hotels which look cheap around the area too. I do not think i would like to stay in this hotel or in this area again.
The staff are very kind and rooms very clean
Ladies at the front desk, especially Rodaba were very friendly and helpful. She gave us tips on where to eat dinner and where to find parking. We were able to check in early which gave us time to get ready for the concert we were attending Saturday night. Very nice hotel!!!
This was such a cool Hotel. It has nice clean rooms and the staff were awesome. We will definitely stay here again.
Staff friendly, good location.
this hotel was so nice! staff was super friendly and the room itself was clean and i appreciated how quiet it is around the area itself
Great time
Nice location and hotel, however rooms are dated and musty.
Cool vibe boutique hotel, great for independent travellers. If you are seeking standard 4* business hotel then look elsewhere. The rooms at the front of the hotel that face Post St are nicer than those at the rear that overlook an alleyway mid-block. Although you may hear more of the city streets overlooking the front of house. Hotel is one block away from Union Sq, so very convenient for all the shopping and the Powell St cable car. Staff is excellent and very helpful.
Great hotel, I’d stay here again. My kids loved the game room and I loved the adult shakes 😌!
Customer service is great and very helpful. We were able to walk everywhere and was not far from china town. It is a couple streets from the tenderloins; however, it did not bother us, just don’t go through those streets. Other than that no complaints, would book again.
It was fine, room was smaller than expected and there is an attached restaurant but I couldn’t get room service for it.
Great property with excellent staff and service. The hotel is in a great central location close to public transportation to get you to anywhere in the city. We enjoyed the PLS restaurant. Burgers and drinks were delicious. The room and beds were comfortable. I would book this hotel again!
A fun and quirky place to stay. I’ve stayed here many time. Location is excellent! The game room is great, as are the restaurants.
Mid
Room smelled like carpet mildew. Front desk receptionist were very friendly. Hotel is a bit old and worn out.
The woman working front desk was rude when I entered. Spoke to me while looking at her computer and didn’t look up. Then when I asked about parking she told me that the price was more than the website stated and that the price went up last year. So apparently, I must’ve looked at the wrong thing. Once I showed her, she corrected herself and honored it, but by this time I already felt like she wasn’t the kindest. This was my second experience here. The first time was great. Probably won’t be back, sadly.
Great location. Local shopping, dining and baseball field.
Great stay
Cool vibe, great amenities
Great vibe, helpful staff and great decor and music. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
The front desk staff & housekeeping made the stay extremely enjoyable. Check in was a breeze.
Central location. Clean and lots of working spaces. The background music in the work space was always on. The internet was not stable for remote work. Had to use my own data plan for some meetings since it constantly kicked me out of network. It was also down for an entire morning. I got to go find a close by cafe that would allow me to sit for hours.
It was amazing ❤️
Loved the vibe of the Zeppelin, prices were decent as well
It’s a cool hotel. Great staff, For the price and location its a good place to stay in the city.
The perfect spot for my friends and I during our stay downtown. Had a great time.
They would not let me change my reservation from Monday evening to Tuesday evening. I called around 9:00 pm to change. I was too ill to travel just wanted reservation to change days from Monday to Tuesday or later. They said reservation was not cancelable on transferrable which was true but I thought they should make exception given my illness.
This is a really cool hotel with great rooms and fun amenities. The staff was amazingly friendly. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5-star review was the wait time to talk to a staff - there was consistently only 1 person working the front desk with a long line. It took a long time to get serviced, even when we needed something small. It took over 30 min to get our car from valet. They are seriously understaffed.
Amazing location and staff, chrome cast wasn’t working the whole time which was quite annoying but the array of cable channels did slightly make up for it.
Great staff, helpful flexible and made stay enjoyable.
Very cool spot with connecting restaurant and bar. Would stay again.
I appreciated the fast and easy check in. Also there is a parking garage a couple doors down so that was very convenient for us as well. I noticed in some of the reviews people talking about how there are two different towers for this hotel, and that it was a bit annoying to find or difficult to navigate to get to it, but I can assure you it is not hard whatsoever. Plus they have arrows for you to follow. The room was well kept, clean, and has an aesthetic look to it. Overall I would stay again.
Loved the front desk team. They were always so warm and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay! We found the hotel located in a great area. Super walkable to union square and the trolley! The breakfast place next door honey was amazing. The bar staff at the hotel were very friendly! Would come and stay again!
The staff were all amazing and friendly, the room was beautiful and clean. Bed was incredibly comfortable!!
I loved the common area
Just okay
They way it’s decorated
Great place to stay downtown
Hotel Zeppelin was perfect for our one night stay. We went to a show at the Warfield and it was an easy 12 minute walk. I know San Francisco pretty well and felt comfortable walking around the area. Lots of restaurants and bars around, including the very cute Lost Cat bar just a few doors up from the hotel. We loved the vibe of this hotel and every person we dealt with on staff was great. Also loved the small differences, like cool lamps in our room, the makeup mirror in the bathroom, the big shower. Some things don’t work in the design-our room was tight getting into thanks to the sliding door leading into the bathroom, but that was a small thing and did not impact our stay. Valet was quick and courteous. I would stay here again no problem.
Will stay here again when in San Fran!
Great stay! Love me a boutique hotel!
Great staff.
The front desk staff was nice and friendly. I was upgraded to a corner unique. The location was safe and walkable. I was disappointed due to the following reasons: 1. The bed was hard and uncomfortable 2. Comforter was very thin 3. The upgrade room was small
OUTSTANDING
By far one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Everyone waits on you hand and foot. The room was spacious and gorgeous. If and when I return to San Francisco, I will book at Hotel Zeppelin.
Several things I was not a fan of with this property. We were placed in the "other" tower which was explained like it was a secret area which was more just inconvenient. You have to get off on the 4th floor and then walk down the hall and get on the elevator to get to the 5th floor. The light flickered in our room, not much information was given to us when checking in, the TV volume did not work, and the cart for bringing in your luggage would not go in the room because we were placed in a small hallway where you could not turn it to get into the room. The hotel was pretty, clean, the game area was neat and the staff was friendly. Also in a great walkable location with lots around. I don't think we would stay here again because of the inconveniences.
Staff was very nice and helpful.
So unique and fun! Lovely front desk staff
