This was our first time at hotel indigo Riverwalk. The hotel was right on the river and you could walk everywhere so we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and back again it was affordable and we really enjoyed ourselves. The bed was very comfortable and all of The employees from the front desk to the bartender to the waitresses were so nice and friendly and helpful. We surely would stay here again.
Stay was fine! All the staff were so friendly!!!
Have stated many times over the years and the hotel is showing signs of aging. Removing the center registration desk was a mistake in my opinion, it doesn’t look finished. I love the hotel, but it is not keeping up with the prices being charged.
.
Outstanding location and the rooms were very spacious
It was way too expensive for the accommodations provided. I will never book again. Staff was kind with exception of valet. Don’t expect assistance with luggage. Front desk provided breakfast vouchers. We left first thing.
Staff responsive to TV and heating issues.
Very nice hotel on the riverwalk and great service. Only thing I was disappointed in was the unexpected parking fee of 45 a night per car. Cost us 270 just for parking.
The hotel itself is nice but we couldn’t sleep well because there was work being done outside in our side of our hotel room.
I paid 55 usd for Valet. While checking in, I asked to receptionist, are you driving car for parking outside? He said no, the car will be front of Hotel. At the evening, the valet drives the car for parking outside of Hotel parking zone. The same receptionist says it is management decision, management of Valet as if it is not supervised by front office management. Do not stay at the Hotel. Old, smells humidity, noisy air conditioning and so on ..
The only thing I didn't like was the options for parking. There was valet parking for $60 a night, that was pretty much your option. Parking on the street, or the lot across the street (which was full) are the only other options. Get some better parking.
We were extremely disappointed by our stay. 1st night room's AC wasn't working. We got to room late so went to bed and reported it the next morning. We were told it was fixed and it was not! Our room was HOT! It was late, they moved us to a new room. Toilet chain was broken in new room and we had to put our hand in tank to pull chain to flush. Then we were woken at 7:15 by a garbage truck outside of our window picking up trash from dumpster (on Sunday?). While in the elevator we saw fun coffees and drinks on wall. Went to get a latte and we were told they didn't make those kind of coffees. Just black coffee and creamer. We had valet take our car and when we picked it up, it had bird poop ALL OVER it. Not just a little...ALL over it. We were very disappointed by our stay and Sarahi said to contact you and they will request a refund. Marco Anderson 713-203-6345
Ok
Good
Convenient to Tobin Center. Ten minute walk to The Alamo area. Friendly staff and great bartender.
Nice hotel. Long walk to restaurants, sketchy street level area
Nice spot.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful
Receptionist excellent service
My families from Houston San Antonio and Austin all met at your hotel Thursday afternoon. Your staff was very considerate making sure that our needs were met. There was a complimentary late check out for us Saturday morning so that was very helpful for us! We had a delightful evening Friday night watching the Christmas parade on the Riverwalk from your balcony on the third floor! We will be back again next year!
stayed a night with my son. room was decent. nothing spectacular.
The Indigo was good overall. Nothing too fancy. The price was appropriate. The facility is older but well maintained. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The area had a lot of homeless so it felt like a necessary expense to valet instead of self park. But that is not the hotel's fault. The valet staff were great too. I would stay here again.
The stay was good. The hotel is average - rooms need some updating.
The hotel was in an area where everything was walking distance. And the hotel staff is very friendly.
Well located hotel. High level of cleanliness.
Love it
I would like a bus to take me to the RiverWalk and bring me back.
I hated that it was too far away from everything whole purpose of staying was not having to drive somewhere. Ridiculous that you have to pay to park your vehicle especially with the room price it is.
AAA
This is a special hotel for me. It is in a great location and the rooms and staff are awesome. I will go back!
The room was not clean, the patio was dirty we couldn't even sit outside because of the chairs and tables were full of dust and dirt.
At checkin the 3 people present were speaking to each other. Once we stood for awhile Laura C. Asked about us checking in. No welcome to the property, nothing. Room was cool and comfortable.
Place was great and local
Was ok. And the parking set up is robbery. They’re charging 45 a day for just an open lot. No security or valet and it’s off site..very strange to me
Excellent!
The staff was efficient and friendly. Facility was clean and quiet. Easy access to the quieter northern end of the Riverwalk. Most restaurants and attractions downtown were about a 15 min walk via the Riverwalk or surface streets. The self parking option did not include the actual Hotel parking lot which was filled by the valet service. Street parking is otherwise a poor option. We did use the valet service and they were friendly and responsive, but the service was expensive. Our room was oddly spacious like it was a small meeting room converted into a guest room. Not bad, but odd. It would have been a good room for and extra bed or someone needing wheelchair access. Overall a pleasant Hotel away from the noisier areas of the Riverwalk but within comfortable walking distance of the many restaurants and attractions of downtown.
Bad smells in the room and the noise in the hallway.
I spent my honeymoon here and it was amazing the staff was great
Highly Recommend this beautiful hotel
I enjoyed my overnight stay at this beautiful hotel. I stayed in the king bed suite with a balcony! The view was amazing to wake up to and enjoy your breakfast and coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel for future visits and for my family and friends to stay in!
Small intimate hotel is very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location.
Stay was great, room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the river walk and city skyline. I liked the location being on the north end of the river, not smack dab in all the hustle, but close enough to walk to a lot of what downtown SA has to offer. I would for sure stay here again, the only thing I would not do is get the breakfast package--- it was just "ok".
A little distance from the shopping, but nice quiet and worth the stay. This is my 2nd time at this property and will stay again.
Absolutely lovely
We went for one night only but the hotel was beautiful and had so much vibrant colors and looked amazing. The whole property was beautiful. The staff friendly and very helpful. Overall our stay was great!
Staff is very welcoming

Fun
First time to visit this Hotel. It’s on the none busy end of the Riverwalk which we liked. We will be booking again with a room with Riverwalk views!
I all around loved my stay but having to pay for parking after paying for my room is a little ridiculous. Was not happy when checking out.
Not much nearby.
Cons: hotel parking is across the street. Wasn’t aware of the boat taxi when we checked in. Found out on our last night. Pool was really filthy and hazy. Restaurant in hotel is not open all hours. They shut down during the day. The hotel isn’t near the bustling part of Downtown San Antonio so the boat taxi ride is kinda long. Pros: friendly staff. Beautiful view of river. Housekeeping was quick.
Excellent service but bad construction and cleanli
The service was excellent. Hotel policies were flexible and Friendly. All amenities were available that I needed. The hotel was not as clean as I Expected but I think that is partly because The construction updates that were made to the hotel were sub par. The grout in the bathroom wasn't a very bad condition. The toilet was Old. Despite the cleaning staff coming and cleaning in front of me these things were not cleanable. Overall I had a wonderful experience the staff was wonderful and I had every amenity I wanted the location was convenient and I had a great time staying at this hotel.
First off the room we booked ( as per the pictures) is NOT the room we received.. the room was very dirty!! We are attempted to cancel and rebook somewhere else after the first night but.. they advised because we paid in full with Expedia we wouldn’t get our money back! Which was odd because that’s NEVER been the case anywhere else.. So we were forced to stay.. Staff was extremely lazyyy!!!!! And then the nerve to charge me for valet services i didn’t use!!! The manager even went so far as to say that i was a liar and that “ someone in my party must have used the service” even though it was only me, my husband and our dog!! I eventually got my money back.. but the simple fact that someone was able to submit a valet ticket under my room was insane!!
Everything
No parking lot
4th of July stay
We had a wonderful experience here! Hotel Indigo is a very homey hotel. They pay thoughtful attention to little details that make it comfortable, inviting, and fun. You can walk right out to the river walk, or to restaurants, convince stores, and even the Alamo! Comfy beds, soap smells great, AC works amazingly well thank goodness!:)
Place smelled like urine. The room smelled and the bedsheets smelled. The room was so cold. If you tried adjust the ac the room would either be freezing or hot, no in between. There was no parking garage, so you either pay $50 for valet or drive around to park and pay down the street. The area surrounding the hotel was scary plus homeless people everywhere. I would never stay there again.
Parking should be free but Is $35
Tv & remote didn't work. Staff were too busy to help. Valet service was great. A/c was loud. You could adjust temperature but that didn't change the temperature.
Definitely not worth the money, I would look somewhere else
Good location. Pet friendly.
Far from shopping
we had lots of bugs in our room and the ice amchine had lots of mosquitos
Will never stay here again
Took a surprise Mother’s Day trip from Houston. The hotel valet is a NIGHTMARE…there was only one valet running back and forth blocks away for everyone that was waiting. I was not able to use my code to have my vehicle pulled and had to wait behind others and I have a pick up truck and each time they had to move cars just to get my truck back and forth because it couldn’t fit. The hotel itself needs a remodel, the luggage carts are falling apart, the elevator floor boards were coming up and overall didn’t look very clean ANYWHERE. My room was supposed to be a river view needless to say you could only see the patio where guests were smoking and a staircase . The room smelled like OLD WATER as if something was soaked and was sitting there but I could not find where the smell was coming from. The shower in the room looked nasty in fact we did not shower for that reason. And the last thing my vehicle came on the day of check out COVERED in bird poop , I’m not sure where they parked it but RIDICULOUS to have my new pick up truck just detailed come back in that condition
I would recommend bistro tables and chairs on small balcony. 2 comfortable chairs per room. Little bit bigger menu.
Wasn’t happy that no one offered us water or cookies on check in like they did the other guests. Mess up with our room they was ultimately fixed. The restaurant closed at 9:45 pm on a Friday night. The dessert offered instead of a meal was not good.
Great stay
My stay from the beginning to end was a great experience. Each member of the staff were friendly and very professional. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.
I appreciated that they are pet friendly and welcomed our little Bella. They have a very nice accommodation for Bella to tee and poo that was surprisingly clean. There is some kind of watering system they use that keeps the ground area clean.
Easy access to the river walk. A beautiful property to stay at.
No Parking
It was late when i checked in. No parking . Was told pay lot around corner> Its was dark, had to create aprofile to pay for space. Did not feel safe at all
Our room had a covered balcony, which was amazing! Otherwise, a beautiful hotel, conveniently located, with a helpful staff.
Staff were excellent, polite and accommodating, especially restaurant waitstaff and bartender. The location is on the Riverwalk, but it’s a good half-hour walk to the area with restaurants. The neighborhood on the street side has several vacant old buildings, but I did feel safe. Our room was dreary and musty. Exceptionally poor fluorescent lighting, with no ceiling fixture and no light operable by a wall switch inside the door. The shower is narrow, the sink countertop cramped. Bottles of soap, lotion, and conditioner are not a recognized brand. No shower cap or other niceties, though there is a hair dryer. I did not find a safe. Positives are a comfortable hotel patio area, tv area, generous handouts of bottled water and cookies.
It is in a perfect spot on the river walk not too loud and crazy. River is beautiful and it is a lovely walk. The Indigo has a really cool vibe. Places like the elevator could use a cleaning. Our room was very clean. I got a balcony room on the corner. It looks onto a service barn, a concerning parking lot and closed building. So my view was odd given you pay additional for the balcony.
In the hood with rehab center block away
Booked and paid extra for premium room with balcony only to arrive and told that hotels.com didn’t book that room for me. This place is in the hood, abandoned building across the street, rehab center a block away. PISSED I paid 700 for 2 nights. Never booking with hotels.com again.
Hotel was very basic. In room amenities were old
Called for early check in the day before. It was confirmed. Upon arrival I was told they do not guarantee early check in. Had to wait over an hour for room to become available. Front desk clerk Kimberlee was very unpleasant. Also called in and was hung up on twice
Very nice hotel. Beautiful back patio, right on the river walk
Good, but long walk to restaurants on river walk
Great location within walking distance to the Tobi Center.
.
I don’t like to be payed for parking
Definitely not worth the $250 a night we paid. Save some money and stay somewhere else. This place isn’t that special.
4 nights= 3 maid cleaning. They used the same sheets all 3 times. Flipped then turned inside out
I read some bad reviews on this place but honestly I really enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and very clean. Front staff was good. The self parking isn’t far at all. Like literally across the street.
The hotel was beautiful and it is on the river but it’s about a 20 minute walk to the main part of the river walk. The rooms were clean and well furnished but a little dark.
No parking
Nice hotel , but average . Location is not too convenient, but price was good for the Riverwalk .
The staff is really friendly and helpful. We loved the location and easily walked everywhere!!!!
The room wasn’t very clean
A great place to stay.
Comfortable, clean, pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely book again.
Very nice, small, quiet atmosphere. Very good staff. We will return.
The room we stayed in smelt like mold and mildew, the floors were dirty and outside the room window was trash everywhere. For almost $300 for one night, I’d never suggest this hotel.
Cleaning staff were using drugs and cleaning 1 room next to ours for 5 hours.
The check-in process was poor. The hotel room was not cleaned and restocked with clean linens and towels and the hotel location was not great and the rate was ridiculously high considering the location and all of the issues.
Front desk staff was not knowledgeable of simple questions when asked they weren't sure of the answers.
Rooms are small for $200.00 a night. Have a funky smell to them/older. Parking for your car is either $35.00 to self park or $55.00 valet which is not disclosed until arrival
Excellent service and location.
Very nice location and the rooms are excellent. The free breakfast was served at the table...not a buffet. All the service was excellent.
NO!...Not a 3 star hotel
The pictures on the website make this hotel look inviting..comfortable..quaint..luxurious. Dont be fooled! This is a motel 6 with a hotel ritz price. Youre in a dark oart of north SA, far removed from the "RiverWalk" experience. Rate was $300...Tiny Rooms are upgraded, but thats where it ends. No overhead lighting. No lighting in bathrooms. View was a back alley with no open patio. Arrived late friday night. Barr closed at 10. Hotel does even have a front desk. Dogs everwhere. No microwave in room. TV did not work. No coffee in lobby. High priced restaurant..no free breakfast. Asked to pay $35 for parking in a full non secured lot across the street. Valet parking was $45 and lot was 2 blocks away. Night manager..too busy on the phone and computer...rude, escalating, and non apologetic...very, very disappointing!!! We canceled 3 reservations and left at midnight. Save your money!!! Stay somewhere else!

The room was nice. Service was not very good and the parking was 52.00 a night and they gave me no options when I checked in. Also made me pay a deposit after my room was paid completely.
