I stayed at Haya during a 3 night stay to visit family. It is more economic than staying downtown (about $100 cheaper a night). The food and drinks were delish, complimentary coffee, and the staff very friendly. My room was clean and spacious and the balcony was a plus! The pool area was clean and relaxing. They even had floats for the kids. They were able to accommodate a later check out even though they were pretty busy. Ybor is such a cute area with a lot of potential, itās a shame that the majority of it is vacant. I would stay downtown if youāre looking for more of an inner-city experience.
Poor customer service
Entrance to hotel was confusing- but staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, but we found the bed too low to the ground and the locker room style shower made for an entire bathroom floor wet and a bit slippery. Focus is on the Ybor City, which is an adult focused scene in the evening. Additional amenities charge was unexpected.
My new go to whenever I visit Tampa.
Love
Accommodated early check in
Loved the Haya
Loved the Haya hotel. It was perfect walking distance for where we needed to go, staff was very friendly and the ambiance was beautiful. We would stay here again.
Great place - very convenient for my trip to Tampa. 2 complaints: I don't appreciate being blindsided by the parking situation - having to pay for valet. Secondly - the in room lighting was poor - especially the "reading" light above the bed. Otherwise great place and staff.
Love the onsite valet parking. Staff always very friendly. Rooms are nice, size & affordable. Great hotel.
This hotel is beautifully renovated and the rooms are spacious and very clean. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only drawback is the price -- however, that seems par for the course in Tampa.
Mediocre. New but lacking amenities really. You must pay for everything extra and parking is expensive. Not worth it for what you get
Great location for Ybor City.
Girl's trip
Hotel Haya is great. We came here directly from the port, at around 930 in the morning, and were able to check in immediately. We enjoyed the brunch. I got the chicken and waffles and it was delicous. The main restaurant is closed sunday evening and monday, so we got dinner at the bar and it was also delicous. The drinks were also great. The rooms are nice and clean. And the beds are comfortable. Definitely would recommend.
We really enjoyed the hotel but there was very exessive noise until 3 in the morning. We were not aware it is party area of Tampa. Very loud music from drivers blaring their stereos and alot of party goers until 3. We paid for balcony suite so I would do a inside room next time.
The property was close to everything. The people at the front desk were very nice. The food in the drinks were great. The only thing I would say is they don't have parking for their guest. And for the amount of money you pay you should have free parking. And they don't have a microwave in the room. I thought that was kind of odd. The room to me was kind of small for what you pay. I probably would not stay there again for the amount of money you pay. They fill the refrigerator up with all of their drinks, so I couldn't put anything in the fridge. There's no real ambiance there. Well I digress
Updated, clean, friendly staff. Food options, good coffee shop.
Excellent hotel within walking distance to the trolley, restaurants and shopping. Great and helpful staff. Would stay there again and recommend.
Stayed here for our honeymoon. Was very impressed! I will definitely stay here again in the future.
Service staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. Nice area to discover with lots of restaurants bars and music options.
We had booked a 2 queen room 6 months in advance of our travels with our two young children (so a group of 4) which was disclosed upon booking. The day we were to arrive at the hotel I called in the morning to see if it was possible to have a roll away bed added to our room. The woman on the phone said yes, and I said I would see her that evening. When we arrived at the hotel at 6:15pm at night, the hotel sent us to a room with 1 king and a roll away bed. We returned to the lobby and were informed that the hotel was overbooked, they didnāt have a 2 queen room, and they would āhappily cancelā my reservation. No apology, no acknowledgement that we were traveling with young children and we were essentially turned out to the streets with our kids where nearly every hotel was sold out due to the womenās college basketball championship. We ended up booking in a panic a room at a substantially lower end hotel at a substantially higher rate (because hotels were selling out as soon as I could input my CC information. It was terrible. When I reached out to Expedia they offered me a bunch of meaningless apologies and $25 in Expedia cash. Both Hotel Haya and Expediaās customer service were terrible from start to finish. I question ever using Expedia again. To turn children out into the streets with not thought, care or remorse is unconscionable.
Hidden resort fee on check in.
They snuck in a hidden fee that was not disclosed when the room was booked through Hotels.com. It's typical to leave a room deposit nowadays, which was quoted at $100 at check in. However, the charge was just over $121. I asked why and was told it was a resort fee. That's not cool and we won't stay here again when we cruise out of Tampa. Also, the bed was too hard. We will say that the room was very nice and very clean. Our flight was delayed over 5 hours so we did not get a chance to enjoy the pool.
Its what we needed for the night
Place to stay in Ybor
Hotel Haya is a fantastic hotel with great design and comfort. The location, pool, and service are top notch.
Beautiful hotel with great service!
Good quality hotel in an interesting and historic neighbourhood
Noise is an issue
Very nice
We loved the hotel!!! We didnāt love the neighborhood, but Iād definitely stay again!
Except for a short power outage, we had an excellent stay.
First class Hotel in a great Ybor City location . Great Restaurant & Bar ; high quality all around !
Room was awesome
excellent
Tampa Cool
Haya is hip. Liked it a lot. Great location.
Great location. Only thing I didn't like was no ice machines, you need to request they deliver it to your room whenever you need it.
The food at Hotel Haya is a big part of the allure. We adored the scenery and were well accommodated by the staff when we asked for some disability-related adjustments to our room. We will be returning in the future
Great hotel in Ybor City! Beautiful interior and good rooms.
Love it!!!
Amazing service
An attractive & convenient hotel in Ybor City
The Hotel Haya staff were friendly, helpful and prompt. The room was very clean and comfortable. WiFi was reliable. There are multiple good restaurants within comfortable walking distance. The free TECO Line tram service has a stop half a block from the hotel entrance which makes it easy and cheap to get to downtown Tampa. My only suggestion would be to provide a desk for those that wish to work on their laptops (the king bed room I was assigned didn't have one). I was happy with my stay, and would gladly return for another.
Beautifully modern hotel in the perfect location
Absolutely beautiful newer hotel in the perfect location at the tip of the main strip in Ybor City. Staff was very friendly, cafe and hotel bar are clean and modern. Bartenders at the hotel bar were awesome by the way. Balcony in the room was lacklucker as it is small with no chairs so not sure I would pay extra to have it again. Valet only and $39 per night for parking so if you're coming with a rental car just a heads up. I would absolutely stay here again as you can't beat the location.
All aspects of this hotel was fabulous! Beautiful property, comfortable relaxing rooms, staff from front desk to maintenence extremely friendly and helpful, fantastic gym. Hotel Haya will be our first choice when traveling through Tampa again!
I wish the smoking area downstairs from the pool was manned better. Every time we stay we have to sit around a dirty table. This time we stayed the dirty dishes from the previous guests sat there for the entire two hours we were sitting outside. we would buy so much food and alcohol every single time we stay there if a bartender would just come out and ask us if we need anything.
A bit expensive for what you get. No coffee maker in the room as well as no microwave or small fridge. You have to go down stairs and buy coffee unless you are up early enough for the coffee station they have in the morning. You certainly wouldnāt want to stay more than a night or two at best. Parking was an added $40 for the night.
Fabulous hotel and very cool fun neighborhood.
Nice
Highly recommend- great place to stay!
Amazing Hotel
My stay at Haya Hotel was great. The food and coffe at the cafe in the lobby was amazing. The gym and pool were perfect.
For the price, this hotel is not worth it at all. We had mold in our bathroom, no shower curtains. Water was getting everywhere when we showered. We had no bags in any of the trash cans in our room. The ceiling in our room was very obviously patched with some plywood and drywall. This hotel is valet only and has a parking garage at $40 a night. My car was left outside of the parking garage, and itās now covered in pollen, sticks, and leaves. I had some personal belongings missing out of my vehicle as well. For $450 a night, I could have had a better experience at the holiday inn. Front desk staff were nice and helpful. Thatās the only positive thing I have to say honestly.
Didnāt like room lighting fixtures are not that bright or not working!
Pricey for what you get
Very nice hotel.
rooms were great. really nice.
Convenient self parking garage around the corner,
Amazing customer service
Everything was okay, but the service was bad.
Room did not have enough electrical power near the bed. Windows nƩe led to be more soundproof as there was street noise till 3am.
Close to lots of good restaurants and shopping.
Excellent
This is a great hotel in a great location but there are some things that take the shine off. Valet parking at $39 a night. Itās across the street from the hotel. The other available parking is blocks away and SCARY! People were vomiting and there appeared to be groups of people just hanging out in the garage. No thanks! So we paid the extra $39 for each night for valet. Then the āresort feeā on top of that! Itās brought the total to $143 extra dollars in addition to the $300 dollars a night! There is a refrigerator in the room however, it is filled with their beverage s that they want you to buy. There is no microwave or in room coffee maker. The kid who brought our luggage up suggested room service. I canāt imagine what coffee would cost. It was free in the fancy coffee shop in the lobby. The kicker was we asked for a handicap room as my 85 year old Mom was with us. The bathroom is great but the beds are 14ā off the floor! We had to get a cot and put it on top of the bed mattress so my Mom could get up out of the bed. That left a 16ā space for my sister to sleep. By the second night we were all hurting so bad from sleeping on the awful beds. It felt like sleeping on sand bags. Horrible horrible beds. Again, itās a beautiful place but I felt nickel and dimed to death and the beds are not fit for humans.
A pretty let down
Booked a one night stay to start a vacation and was greatly let down by this hotel. Paid over $400 for one night, no one told us there were two weddings going on. Tried to sit outside on the patio, when a very rude woman told us āthis was a private eventā. Nothing was marked, and no staff there told us. Very noisy until late at night. Put out a breakfast sign, no breakfast arrived. Very pretty design and property, but our experience was not worth the price tag.
Very nice property, clean, modern, and staff was extremely welcoming and nice. Everyone from valet to the front desk provided excellent service and answered all questions we had. I highly recommend staying here. We stayed for an event at Amelie arena and while it wasnāt the closest property to the arena the location was still close enough and the price was right.
Staff is excellent. Polite, kind and always ready to help. Room was very clean. Bar had a large variety of adult beverages. Restaurant was very good and separate coffee shop was a surprise but just a gift to me. Very easy walking distance to the heart of YBOR city was most convenient. I will be staying here again in the future.
Location GPS location given was totally wrong and architect created trip hazards instead of comfortable space
Great place!
Great price. In walking distance to everything we needed to do.
I loved the boutique feel of the property, as well as the walkability of the area. I went on to stay at a big hotel on Water Street and definitely liked Hotel Haya better.
Great stay and service was excellent!
Beautiful Hotel Walking Distance to all food Friendly staff Clean
We ate lunch at the hotel and the service was very slow and the cost of the meal was very high. We were charged $8.00 for 2 small pieces of bread and a very small amount of sun dried tomato spread.
Walking distance to food areas ..
Loved this hotel. Everyone from the bellhops to the front desk to the Cafe and restaurant were friendly and extremely helpful! Especially Kala at the front desk and bartender Taylor in the bar. Liv was our waitress at lunch today and extremely personable!
Loved the location, bars and restaurants. Trolley free and easy to take. Saturday farmers market close by.
Excellent place to unwind and enjoy the Ybor City restaurants and bars. Only had an overnight there, quick visit! Room was great. Loved the balcony. The bar across the street was a bit noisy for a time, however.
Very close to one of the free trolly stops.
Great hotel for business or personal travel!
I had a great stay at Hotel Haya. I stayed in a King room with a balcony. It was spacious and the balcony was a perfect touch. The area has a certain charm. It had an amazing cafe on site as well as a nice restaurant. The room was very clean and the hotel staff and restaurant staff were so friendly. I will definitely stay here again!
Loved the service, the amenities, the condition of the hotel and the layout of the room. The only thing was I could here everything going on outside in the streets.
Excellent service
Excellently done properly.
Amazon. Great location.
Enjoyed our one night stay at Hotel Haya. Nice room, comfortable bed. Valet parking. Excellent pool area. Central to Ybor historic district.
Beautiful property in the heart of downtown Tampa.
The room and bathroom were large. The bed and pillows comfortable. I left the breakfast order on the door way before time twice and it was not taken. I had to call. The hotel comped me the second time. Staff was friendly.
Awesome Experience
I recently stayed at Hotel Haya in Tampa, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The hotel is located in the vibrant Ybor City district, which offers a perfect blend of history and modern amenities. The property itself has a beautifully renovated, contemporary feel while still maintaining the charm of its original architecture. The staff at Hotel Haya were exceptional, offering friendly and attentive service from check-in to check-out. They made sure all my needs were met, and their recommendations for local restaurants and activities were spot on. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with comfortable furnishings and stylish decor. I particularly enjoyed the large windows that allowed plenty of natural light to come in. The bathroom was also well-designed, with a sleek, modern shower and high-end toiletries. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop bar. The views of the city were stunning, and the cocktails were expertly crafted. It was a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring Tampa. The hotel's location is another big plus. It's within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and shops in Ybor City, and itās just a short drive to downtown Tampa and the waterfront. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Haya and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Whether you're there for business or leisure, it's a great place to enjoy comfort, style, and top-notch service.
Great location. Beautiful hotel. Only drawback we had was we were supposed to be notified when our room was ready. We never were.
Location Location Location
Room location matters a lot to me. I like being near the elevator, but this room was a little too close for comfort actually sharing a wall with the floor's elevator lobby. It was kind of noisy in the middle of the night. Otherwise, my stay was top notch.
Perfect stay!
Uncomfortable rooms
This hotel is way overpriced. When we opened our door to our room it was very small with a king sized bed, a tv and a small chair/lounge for one. It was certainly not a room of a four star hotel. There was no chair at the desk/luggage storage, no coffe maker, no lamps for reading only some crazy contemporary uplights, no ice bucket (we found out you had to call for ice which we did and it took well over 30 minutes to receive) and the floor in the bathroom was not clean. we did complain about the lack of an appropriate light, but nothing was done. the desk staff apparently didn't understand why anyone needed light to read a book. We were there for only one night to eat at the Columbia restaurants for our anniversary and the next day we were headed South. Perhaps the good reviews were written by people who enjoyed the bar and pool. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and I would rate this one one of the worst.
I stayed at Hotel Haya for two nights for a wedding. Overall the hotel was ok. The price of $700 for two nights was too much for the quality of service given; the front desk was very nice and the pool was very relaxing, though could use a clean up. There was garbage in the plants by the pool and a lot of bird poop on the chairs. I did request to have my room refreshed on the second day with towels and new soaps, and no one ever came. When I asked again, I was handed towels and a bar of soap. The restaurant and cafe located inside the hotel are exceptional - great food, coffee, and drinks.
Beautiful hotel but ...
The people at the front desk, the valets and other staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. It has a very modern design like a boutique hotel. The hotel should add ice machines on each floor ( you have to have ice delivered to the room), a coffee maker and a shower door ( water from the shower seeps onto the bathroom floor- which creates a slipping risk. We were initially placed into a handicap room at the far end which was quite a long way from the elevator ( not optimal for a person with mobility issues), though we had not requested that room. We changed rooms because of the location and the low platform beds which were very uncomfortable. Once we moved to a room close to the elevator- the beds were better though the mattress was high in the middle. We called hotels.com to shorten our stay by one day and they told us that they had to treat our reservation like a new one and that the prices had gone up and if we changed tge dates from 4 nights to 3 that it would cost us more money. They told us to keep our reservation dates and tell the hotel that we were going to check out a day early and to credit us for the extra night. When we did this the hotel said that Hotels.com / Expedia controls this- not them. The hotel manager reached out to Hotels, com and got it straightened out- but We thought that this was a crappy way for Hotels.com to treat a customer! We will think twice about booking with them in the future!
I stayed in Haya hotel for one night. It was clean, the staff was friendly. Liked the fact that there are a lot of dining options in walkable distance. Would stay there again.
Our stay at the Haya Hotel was great! Staff very friendly and helpful with questions. The area around hotel was safe and fun with many restaurants and historic buildings to see and enjoy. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.
Great.
Everything was great for this hotel except we were not informed that they only did valet parking and that would be a separate cost.
Could be a fun area to meet up with friends and bar hop.
great place
Exceeded my expectations. Stylish elegant atmosphere with great amenities and an excellent restaurant.
Cloud nine
Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful ! The beds are like heaven. I would come back again.
Vey nice
The Hotel Haya was an excellent choice. The location was perfect. We enjoyed a balcony room overlooking 7th ave. which was ideal for The Knight Parade.
Wonderful and clean pool! We liked the trolley across the street to get around Tampa. The rooms were clean. Overall would stay here again if we find ourselves in Tampa!

Very comfortable. Conveniently located new trolley stop.
