Never again.
Genuinely ridiculous. We’re new to the area, and have never had an issue checking into hotels, as we’re all 18+. I reserved this hotel almost a month in advance, and nowhere on the reservation did it give me any information regarding needing to be 21+ to check-in. When we got into the property, we attempted to check-in, and the man at the front was rude straight off the bat. My personal screw-up was forgetting my id, which he was understandably unsympathetic about. I’d like to say now that I maintained respectful the entire conversation, and seeing as my id was 4 hours away at the time, I took a second to add my partner to the reservation, so he could show his id. Please keep in mind this room was for one night, and prepaid, (by myself), and the man felt the need to dryly inform me that I would not be getting a refund “if I couldn’t get it figured out.” My partner then showed his ID, to which the man behind the desk then sucked his teeth and asked if anyone in our party was over 21, and that they would also have to show ID when they got here. My question is, why waste our time telling us this information piece by piece, instead of all at once, so we could get on our way? I informed him and once again, he was unsympathetic, and very unprofessional. It was at this point that my respect wore thin, and even then I still did not give this man the awful attitude he gave me. I don’t see myself going back to that Hilton in the future, and I’d advise to hire friendlier staff. Thanks.
Everyone was amazing! Front desk clerk was a huge help and the vallet men were super friendly and helpful.
Very good 10/10
The attendent at front desk was exceptional. I cant remember her name, but we called her the boss. Anytime we needed anything during our 3 night stay, she was more than willing to help. All 10 of us came in town to party. While waiting for our room in the lobby(3 HOURS EARLY), we had multiple conversations with her. After she came up to us and said "Who's the boss?" We said "you're the boss. She said "Thats right!" Your Rooms are ready." That made the first impression of this hotel perfect.
The property has homeless sleeping outside the bottom level on the river walk. It is dark there at night.
Easy check in and check out. Wished they had a TV guide but other than that it was a great stay!
Affordable suites with kitchen directly on the Riverwalk
Spacious room is very nice.
Hotel was great. Breakfast is just okay. I wish there was a place to have a cigar. I also wish valet wasn’t $49 a night. The room is spacious and nice. Probably will stay again.
Very clean and prompt. Great location and affordable.
Beautiful and spacious suites, I wish we stayed more than one night!
We liked being on the Riverwalk. Staff recommended the trolley to see San Antonio without having drive through construction which was everywhere!
Great stay!!
Our stay was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were accommodating. It was close to the Riverwalk. I would definitely stay here again.
A/c didn’t work they sent maintenance guy and he said we didn’t know how to work it lol so he thought he fixed it wrong we had to move rooms. stole phone charger as well
The room is not worm
Reasonably priced River Walk Property
One overnight stay in San Antonio. This hotel was reasonably priced and right on the River Walk. Very clean older property. My room was a suite and well equipped kitchen facilities. Staff were friendly.
The hotel's location is excellent! The front desk, breakfast buffet and housekeeping staff were all very pleasant and accommodating! Would definitelu stay again!
Overall loved the experience, definitely book again
Had an amazing time. 10/10 would stay here again!!
Cold water showers one day and then the smoke alarm started chirping at 3am! The overnight maintenance man came and removed the smoke alarm stating the next shift maintenance man would be in to replace it between 6-7am, no one showed up. So no one got any sleep. When I told the front desk person they said “oh I’m sorry, your receipt will be emailed to you. Have a good rest of your day.”
Great stay, rooms are amazing with a kitchen and lots of space. Quiet.
The staff at this property is top notch. They are all very friendly and accommodating. This is the perfect place for a family. Our family of 13 had 3 rooms and we could all gather in one room to play games and open presents. The rooms are large and have everything.
Fantastic location!
Great hotel
Loved the room. Location to stuff was great.
Great location
We liked the location: direct access to Riverwalk, Alamo, Cathedral, etc. Breakfast was great - just make sure to show up earlier in busy times. Parking is valet, so we used the garage across the street (need a reservation with in/out privileges!). The suite was wonderful; we were four (with two kids), and having two separate areas for sleep and kitchen/eating was a big help.
the propriety was very clean and nice but the front desk staff at check in was extremely rude. He snapped at us that the there were no ice machines or vending on the floors but never told us the pool was out of service. One of the reasons we chose this place was because they had a pool. It would have been nice to at least have been told before we got changed and went the roof to find a sign it was out of order. Over all it was a nice place to stay close to river walk and alamo and site seeing things just wish the staff had been nicer.
We liked that it was on the more quiet end of the Riverwalk!
Everything was great but $50 a night to park is outrageous.
The property needs to be updated. Location was great. Work on there cable system
Wonderful hotel! I will warn you, there is no parking. I did not see these details when I booked, and ignored the email about the valet, thinking it was just an additional amenity you could take advantage of. It’s not. Unless you want to take your chances with a random parking garage, opt in for the $49.95 valet and plan on that expense. Breakfast was what your normally expect from a regular hotel. Nothing fancy, nothing extra. Room was huge and so much room for the three of us. We loved it. Very quiet and we all slept well.
Can't control thermostat.
The hotel was ok. Not being able to turn the air down in my room was a problem for me. I like it cooler. I lowered the thermostat to 68 to be able to sleep but the room would not get below 73. Thats a major difference. For me it was to hot.
Magical Christmas Weekend At the Riverwalk
Hilton's never disappoint experience is always A++. Such a fantastic location , walk right into the San Antonio Riverwalk front of the hotel doors. Dining area along the big windows with such a beautiful view of the river. Free breakfast is always a plus.Valet parking was also nice did not have to hunt for a parking spot like most hotels in this location. Price is very reasonable , Very comfortable rooms so much space most definitely felt we were at home . Fully stocked kitchen and the bathroom was very nice to. Staff were all very friendly . Most definitely will retune when we come back into town.
Absolutely loved the suite feature!! It was super spacious!
Parking
Plan on parking close by or paying extra for valet
We liked how the hotel is right on the riverwalk. We enjoyed going for walks and knowing we were close by incase we tired. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Would appreciate better maintenance for the pool, it was too dirty to swim in. Dishes inside room also need to be checked and cleaned.
no room housekeeping
The front office girl bit rude but the rest of the staff great!
I have stayed here often.
Hotel did not have daily cleaning of room. Only said it could clean room if scheduled to do so 24 hours in advance.
It took 15 minutes to get to the door to unload our luggage. There was no onsite parking, and we charged $50/per day for parking. Our room was not ready. We were told we could wait an hour for that room. They put us in another room. The TV did not work our entire stay. There was not a thermostat in the room. The valet employee, Michael, was exceptional.
Christmas trip
It is definitely one of the nicer hotels. However the suite living room ac did not work properly and it was super hot in there. Also, called the front desk to let them know the tv in the room wasn’t working and they said it was being worked on but never was fixed the entire trip.
Fantastic suite for the price. Nice, convenient location to the riverwalk. About a 5-minute walk to the river cruise, even less to the Western museum. Beautiful old building with a decent breakfast. Only downside is the cost of overnight parking…$50 for valet service; never were given any other options.
Nice place on the river walk
Clean and polite staff. Victor took great care of us
Excellent service from the front desk and spacious clean room
I couldn’t get a proper reservation number from Expedia to verify stay, therefore no reservation was provided and when I called the hotel, there was no reservation or rooms available, so I had to book my stay on a different hotel, but Expedia charged my credit card with the total amount of the stay, and I can’t get a refund for almos $500 charged unjustified
It is dirty and gross. The bathtub in 603 has a disgusting crust around the drain. The spare blanket has a whole. The drawers in the kitchen were dirty.
There was no hot water, the floor I was placed on was under construction, doors were being sanded at 9am and it smelled really bad from the paint. The pool was also closed with no disclosed reason. I was not refunded any of my money for these inconveniences
.
Literally next to the river walk.. !! It was great
Location n spacious suites. Looks were not as clean, old tenant stuff were in the cabinets and kitchen utensils had food stains. Breakfast was ok.
Overall great stay, the room was spacious and nice to have separate from living area. Right on riverwalk for a great price. Just be aware that free parking is not offered, and valet service is expensive.
The stay was fine. The worst problem was the manipulation into paying the outrageous price for the valet parking. Being told this is the cheapest option and the other lots have had more reported break-in recently.
Loud equipment noise.
Hotels.com failed to mention the cost of parking on site. $60 per day. We ended up parking several blocks away for $10. Our room was on the 10th (top) floor and there was a very loud equipment noise. It wasn't our ac but could have been another room. We could never tell. It was loud enough to wake us multiple times throughout each night. They also only clean the room every other day, which would have been fine, except the sheets weren't changed even then. They do allow pets which was a plus.
Very clean and nicely furnished. Plenty of room. Fantastic location! Will definitely stay here again.
Entrance is so inconspicuous that it is difficult to find
The hotel manager was rude when I tried to talk with him about issues.
Good
clean, staff very nice. Only negative were the eggs at breakfast could have been kept warmer.
Great Property with access to the river walk
Beautiful rooms and awesome location! Will stay there again..
Everything is close and there’s a lot of transportation options. Very convenient, had exactly what we were looking for. Buffet is alright, various options. Staff was very nice, friendly and supportive.
Pool too small and front deask leady to rude
I had a comfortable and clean place. It’s good that they have valet parking available. It’s also walkable to Riverwalk, restaurants, and shopping areas.
Riverwalk access
We had reserved 2 queens online but hotel only had 2 full beds available for us. Front desk man was unfriendly and showed no manners because when I walked up to the desk and said “Good morning!” He very annoyed said, “Yes?” Also, we were 5 guests and only 3 towels were provided but when I called front desk, they said I needed to go get them myself. The online description made the room look bright but our window faced a brick wall with little light. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you don’t care how you want to be treated.
Close to everything downtown. 2 bedroom suite was perfect for family and so clean. The kids wanted to stay longer!
The room was nice just had some flaws no cold water just hot and then the hot water went out so jist cold water. But overall excellent.
Excellent hotel
staff was pleasant but several issues with our room...hair in the shower upon arrival, a/c wouldn't cool comfortably...had maintenance to our room twice
The room was nice and cold and the bed was very comfy, we had a wonderful time
Overall this was a good stay. It started out a little rough, when we arrived and were told our reservation had been cancelled. Apparently, the staff thought it wasn't real because I have an unusual name. They didn't bother trying to call the phone number linked to the reservation to verify, and just cancelled. Luckily, there was still a room available when we checked in after a long day of travel. THis could have been really bad, but thankfully wasn't. It was still a little offensive.
Very nice hotel
Ran out of food for breakfast. Lack of healthy food selections.
Stay away from this venue
What's an able to stay. Horrible experience. Girlfriend couldn't check in because they didn't change the name and then try to backtrack saying it was always in her name. We ended up having to get a different hotel and they refuse to refund our money due to their negligence mistake.
Enjoyed it close to the Riverwalk.
Everything was great! The staff and the cleaning crew! Thank you!
Very comfortable stay..comfortable beds and clean furniture. Lobby and room smelled good. Friendly staff, valet parking a bit pricey, but they took care me and brought my car out in a timely manner, and they offered to help with our luggage . Loved the location, easy access to the river walk, restaurants and other attraction within walking distance. Did not enjoy our BREAKFAST, not much to choose from. The potato and egg was not appealing, unusual color. We had to go elsewhere to get breakfast which defeats the purpose of booking a hotel room that offers breakfast with a specific rate . Other than that, we enjoyed our stay
I loved it
Everything was amazing and the staff were very helpful and just over all a pleasure to be around. The room was clean and nothing wrong. Is it the nicest hotel on the river walk? No, but are you going to get the kind of service with the type of cost and space in any other hotel? Absolutely not! So in my eye 10/10
Fantastic location on Riverwalk. We were able to walk to great restaurants and popular tourist destinations. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance to landmarks like the Alamo and the Riverwalk. The staff was very attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant stay. However, the building is outdated and could use some improvements. I attended a conference at the Westin next door, and noticed that the driveway and parking area at our hotel could use better upkeep. Overall, it was a good experience, but the facilities could benefit from some updates and more regular maintenance.
Loved the layout of the rooms on the floor, they didn't back up to one another so they were very quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like was, though there was streaming on the TV the guide never showed what was on, just the channels. And when you found a movie and went to that channel you couldn't get any information on it. Overall though we enjoyed our stay very much.
Perfection
Amazing from the valet to check in and to check out. Sonia at the desk was top notch. Need more front desk staff like her. Greets with a smile and excellent attitude.
Xxxxx
Very clean & quiet nice view at night! Pool was dirty could not use
The bathroom smelled like SEWER! It was BADDDD!!!! The staff had to give us a spray and it still didn’t go away. Even he was like, I’ll just leave the bottle with y’all. There was nothing else they could do.
This hotel looked very old and rundown on the outside when we first arrived. Once you enter the lobby, you are assaulted with the most pungent air freshener scent ever giving you an instant headache. The room was ok, bed was decent. The light switch for the bathroom was out in the hallway so anyone can turn the light off on you while you are in there. Breakfast was terrible. Would definitely not stay here again.
Destiny the front desk staff was great assistance to me and my family.
It was good close to everything we wanted to see
We were very impressed with the facility itself, and the people there were extremely hospitable. We will be back.
Room was spacious and nice. Parking a bit on the pricey side.
The staff especially the front desk were great. But, it seemed like management was trying to save money at my expense. I asked for coffee and they were out of kurig pods and only brought up 2. Asked for toilet paper and got one. The tv didn't have a guide on screen or on paper. There wasn't a comfortable chair. Things stated in the ad were missleading or just wrong.
Quick walkthrough to the river
The best part of this hotel is that it accommodated our group of 6 and the room felt like a comfy apartment. My family enjoyed the Windows in the room. They let in a lot of sunlight which was gorgeous. We unfortunately did not get breakfast bc they ran out of food and we waited in line for 15 minutes waiting for the next round to be filled in the trays and no one came. We decided to eat elsewhere so we didn’t get the opportunity to have the free breakfast. There was also a bad sewage smell in our bathroom. We complained about this but hotel did compensate us for this so that was much appreciated. The river walk access is literally right there so we didn’t need to use our vehicle at all. Parking was about $50 a night but you do have in and out privileges. There isn’t any bars or restaurants inside this hotel but the Westin is right next door so that was convenient.
I didn't have enough breakfast
I wasnt told about the 49 usd per night parking cost until after i booked the room, hotels.com didnt mention the extra cost, the hotel charged me without my authorization on my cc. I will not spend my money with them again!
We loved the location, it’s close to everything and the room sizes are great for families. It’s being recently renovated but unfortunately rooms have a dirty water swamp smell and it’s nauseating. Regardless of a nice room, you can’t stay there, ac is not working properly and it’s noisy. They ran out of food for breakfast and lines were long and slow. Obviously hotel was a max capacity and management did not order enough food for guests, food was also disappointing. Avoid this place !!!
Employees where not friendly and the room was horrible smelt like cat or dog urine
I didn’t like that they ran out of breakfast before the time and they need more people to take care about it.
Everything went well. Problems were only having to use valet to park, no smoking allowed at pool. Pool is tiny. No seating or place to smoke comfortably outside the building. Price kinda high

Read the fine print
The stay was nice but I wish we had known that the only parking option was valet and that it was $25 a night. Maybe it was in the fine print with the reservations. I need to look! We booked because of the location and convenience to the Alamo and River Walk but would have looked into other options had we been told up front about the parking.
