Great location, but only 1 out of 3 elevators worked, so it was a very long wait at times. The internet also did not work. Apparently it’s a known issue that the login window doesn’t pop up. Valet parking needs to be done off your cell phone, but that did not work either, as the page never displayed right.
Very welcoming
Eh
Average room, overpriced at $350/night. Valet parking listed $40/night, but they tacked on an extra $15. If you’re going to spend $350 go somewhere else.
The location of this hotel is excellent. That is the only thing it has going for it. Front desk staff is apathetic and unhelpful. There is no housekeeping unless requested, except no one tells you that at check in. Only one elevator working and half of the gym equipment is not operable. Also a ton of construction going on nearby so very noisy. Parking is $40 when you can park for $10 across the street. I would whether stay here again.
We won’t be back to this location
Great location
Process was easy, nice staff, central area
Room couch was disgustingly dirty. Room felt dirty, requested city view and got a tiny window with hardly a view to anything. There is also no self parking and valet is $45.
It was fantastic and the location is perfect, just 3-4 minutes from the riverwalk
Good customer service
Front desk staff was amazing and very helpful
Convenient location to downtown and nice room size.
It seemed that they deemed everything as eco friendly but really was cheap and dirty. Had to leave early not good for a family
Bathroom needs a remodel
The shower bar was broken and dipping low, so the shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed. The shower pressure was non existent, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close.
We were celebrating a birthday, had the room decorated. Upon arrival saw the toilet was extremely dirty, we let that go but by the time we came back after our dinner the flush of the toilet was not working and the dirty water kept filling up. We were given a plunger to fix that mess we didnt make OURSELVES, when that didnt work out we finally got a change of room and LEFT all the decorations in the previous room ruining the birthday. In the new room we saw bunch of ants by the bathroom and room door, we let that slide. We asked for a shower chair as my wife is disabled but we were rudely told that they cannot do anything and we should’ve taken care of that matter before booking. Worst experience
It was a nice area walkable amenities. Didn’t like the fact I was charged extra 50$ for security deposit in case of damages for hotel room. it was refundable but never had that happen at other hotels I’ve stayed at before in San Antonio. Not sure how long it takes to get refunded back..
Very dirty room. Bathroom has hair all over. Carpet, sofa and comforter were horribly stained. Cold coffee at breakfast time. Damp and dirty overall
Very close and walkable to the attractions and restaurants
Our room was very spacious and the bed and pillows were so comfortable.
Ehh
The location was GREAT. Unfortunately thats all that was great. The indoor pool was freezing. The room was gross. The floors were stained up the couch was stained and ripped. The room smelled musty. We stayed 3 nights with our 2 kids. The breakfast was extremely limited. And the seating area was worse. The seating area was so small. No place to sit. your paying for location. Everything else was a big disappointment.
1. System was down to check in when I arrived. 2. Room was dirty, bathroom had hairs, carpet and sofa full of stains. 3. Lost water in room in the morning and never came back. 4. Pool was not heated so freezing. What is the point of the pool then? Very disappointed from the Hilton brand. This is more of a 2 star hotel and an $70 a night type hotel not the price they charge.
Habitaciones amplias, confortables y limpias. El hotel está excelentemente ubicado en el centro, se puede salir a caminar, sector muy tranquilo y bonito. No funcionaba una de las puertas de entrada y por seguridad debes accesar con la tarjeta de la habitación. Personal muy amable y bilingüe.
everything was good. just last day was no water in the hotel.
Easy access even though downtown. Thanks!
Didn’t get the room i paid for very bad experience
The worse experience
The service and condition of the room were bad: awful breakfast, no room service, and no one bothered to clean the room or give you clean towels.
Bad experience
They were out of breakfast 45 min before the adverse time. Pillows were terrible and the room was not cleaned.
Overall good stay. Close to Riverwalk
Very clean, bed was comfortable and they had a real breakfast, eggs, sausage, hash browns. The only issue I had was the AC. The lowest temperature you could put it on was 68 degrees, which felt like 74 It would get warm at times.
Always a great place to stay at.
This hotel needs a major renovation. It’s super run down. The breakfast was subpar at best. It was a cheap stay so I guess it is what it is. We won’t stay there again though.
Great staff was awesome
The bed smell pee and they did not moved me to another room.the housekeeping changed the sheets but the mattress was wet i pee
Staff was always courteous. I arrived a bit early and was checked in with no issues. Weekend noise from the traffic outside at night was loud but during the week there was very little noise.
Great location, nice size bedroom and very well equipped with everything that you need in the kitchenette area
Very friendly staff and perfect location. Thank you!
Good location
Excellent location and room was huge. Excellent for a family. Swimming pool is a joke. But otherwise recommend
Staff was amazing and super friendly. The room was very roomy for our family of 5.
Improvement
I think the breakfast can be improved. We were there at 7:15am and the selection was not very pleasant. The staff were not very informative. Not a good selection
Staff was very helpful and nice. The area was great for sight seeing.
Great downtown location and clean fresh room
Great hotel, super close to the Riverwalk and at an affordable price tag.
The breakfast was terrible. Just eat out.
Average downtown hotel repurposed from an old building. The room was clean and spacious but the lack of on-site parking (typical of many downtown hotels) and the abysmal breakfast really killed the mood for this place.
We only had a few complaints in regards to our stay at the Home2. The first one being the parking. We felt the parking was a bit expensive. We have a handicap, and we ended up saving some money by parking about a block and a half away at the Travis Hotel. Another complaint was the couch in our room was so filthy that we ended up putting a comforter over the top of it so that we felt comfortable sitting on it. Otherwise, our stay was good. The bed was comfortable, the shower water pressure was great, and the our rooms kitchen amenities were great. We ate out at local restaurants and didn't really utilize the continental breakfast. We felt the breakfast looked very limited in it's food selection.
Parking is too expensive. Also the valley parking they offer is a different company so in case of any issues, hotel staff will not help you.
Book at your own risk
Chose to book our stay here based on reviews and how close it is to the River Walk but I was highly disappointed. Took 45 min (after 3pm check in time) to check in because rooms weren’t ready. Finally got to our room and the carpet and couch was stained. Couch cushions ripped. Someone must have thrown a squishy because it was stuck on the ceiling. Tried having the complimentary breakfast and they didn’t have milk or coffee, juice was watered down and the “hot” breakfast was not edible. Took my kids elsewhere for breakfast and checked out.
We enjoyed our one night stay here. Room was spacious, clean, smelled good upon entering, and quiet on our floor. Only downside is that when we went down for breakfast (which we still had about 40min left) there was no more white milk. We asked the staff and he said "we are out". Unfortunately, my children were not able to eat cereal. Other breakfast items were okay, not great. We had full bellies, so at the end, is what mattered.
Downtown and only a block away from the riverwalk.
No parking
The room was great; roomy, clean, everything we needed. Bed quite comfortable. You can walk to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, museums, restaurants, so good location. Breakfast, eh. They serve from 6AM to 9AM. If you get there at 8, your choices are limited, and honestly on some of the items it didn't look like they had been replenished from running low the day before. Waffles were good and they have 3 machines so a few people can be served. The comfortable room and location make up for the breakfast.
Mediocre service at best.
Front desk was quickly rude when he couldn’t find my reservation. Told me they were sold out, too bad. Then had to eat crow. Asked for room service when we went out. Never cleaned our rooms in 4 days. Breakfast was poorly stocked and not very good. But great location.
No complaints about the property, staff or the room. Being downtown valet parking was the only option.
We love HOME2SUITES!! Never disappoint!!
Everything was so awesome !! Super clean and neat!! We love HOME2SUITES!!
I would most definitely come back again. The customer service was awesome from valet, check in, breakfast, and housekeeping. Everyone is so friendly. The gentleman who worked breakfast did an amazing job for just him to be working it by his self. The rooms are spacious and updated, the only comment I have is the couch in the room needs updating but it was not a big issue to me. I loved the area, we were able to walk everywhere. We chose valet and it was worth the $45. It was very convenient being able to get out right in front of the hotel, especially with all the traffic.
I liked that parking was super close to the hotel!
It was my first experience at Home2, which was really great
The hotel has an address on Navarro, but that entrance is controlled by key card - you cannot enter there until after you check in. The room was clean, but needed some TLC - the mirror frame in the bathroom was chipped, the light switch in the bathroom had a gap, and some other cosmetic issues needed attention. We had an accessible room, although we did ot request it. The hotel also says it's on the Riverwalk, but the Riverwalk is 3 blocks away. Short walk, but definitely misleading. The valet parking is by an independent company and has to be paid on a cell phone. I don't pay anything on my cell phone, and they don't accept cash. Definitely inconvenient! The breakfast offered wasn't available until 7am, but I had to be at the event I was attending at 7am. I've never known a hotel to have breakfast available so late, even on a weekend.
Parking available but you have to pay for it, elevators need maintenance. Overall great location walking distance to river walk, the Alamo and other attractions, restaurants and bars.
The noise around the room was so loud that my Wife and I couldn't sleep. Then someone on the floor above Us was walking with lead feet that We were able to hear every step until 2:00 in the morning.
Location was great, staff was friendly and helpful, property and specifically the room should have been’ cleaner. The full size refrigerator was broken, no view at all, the window opened up to a wall
close to everything I needed
Overall it was great. There were a couple broken lamps in the room but it didn't really cause a problem. The location is convenient, right next to alamo, riverwalk, and an amazing bakery. Parking was kinda a nightmare unless you use the valet services which is 40 per night plus service charges. Quite pricey but for the convenience of staying right at the downtown might be worth it.
Best downtown hotel
This was a great stay overall and the staff were very helpful accommodating our specific needs. A few blocks from a great section of the Riverwalk and near other great options for casual dining and basic needs from a drugstore. Large garbage bags sat in the hall for a full day before being cleared… other than that it was very clean and seemed well cared for. The pool is so tiny it is not really a desirable option, but the breakfast was pretty good and well stocked. I would come back!
Room maintenace was poor. Couch bed was terrible to sleep on
Great stay
Everyone was really nice and helpful. The free breakfast was very good. Very clean.
Great service, nice staff
The valet parking Is so expensive. And then they still asking for tips. Unbelievably.
Sent us to another hotel due to them not having keys for the rooms!!
I loved how everything was so close. Shops and places to eat even the Alamo and the Riverwalk was so close. I didn't like the that the shower hot water temperature was not hot at all it was warm but not hot. So for anyone that loves to burn while showering lol yeah not going to happen. But either than that the room was great and so was our stay.
Solo trip
Service was amazing. Valet employees were great. Valet on the other hand was crazy expensive. My first room #1202 smelled like mildew. I thought maybe it was the hallway but no once I opened the door, it hit me hard. I got transferred to another and it was amazing. Bed was comfy, shower water actually went down and wasn’t clogged. For the most part it was a good stay.
We reserved and prepaid for a roll in shower room. They did not reserve the room. They gave us a normal room that was not handicap accessible. Danny at the front desk was very helpful and went out of his way and spend his own money to buy a shower chair for us. The room the toilet was broken and holes in the bed sheet. This is by far the worst Home 2 I have stayed in.
Staff is amazing !!!
The staff was welcoming, helpful. The rooms were really nice. I’d definitely recommend.
My room had a horrible smell
Lots of homelessness but once in hotel felt safe due.to sacurity measures
Great stsy
Very pleased with the room and the hotel overall.
anniversary trip
It is an older hotel but clean and walking distance to so many things. Check in and valet were very easy and quick. Breakfast had many options and was good.
It’s not good room it’s not clean . Poor breckfast
Could have been better
The lobby was very muggy feeling. We were given a room that was already occupied and we were given a different room due to that.
Good
When I booked they said that the parking was free when I arrived nothing to see I had to pay for parking When I arrived at the hotel they had to check in at three and they delivered me until 3:30.
Home from home
Once a year, I usually take my grandkids and let them stay because they have an indoor pool in their right by the Riverwalk. That’s the only place they will stay. They have a great location.
The breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. The carpet and couch had some stains. I'm wondering if they could clean it. Overall, a very nice stay and convenient location.
Nice and pleasant staff
THE ROOMS ARE SO SPACIOUS
Nice property ..clean. Across from Majestic Theater.
San Antonio
it was very convenient
Good luck
Got to the hotel with husband and a 3yo, they said I had not paid and they had no room and would send me to a “sister property.” I started asking size of room, if it was similar, since I choose the property for a reason, plus it showed non-refundable to me. She realized we were staying for an additional day than the long holiday, called the manager and a room just like I had reserved appeared. Very cheap bedding and used a bed skirt as blanket… I guess they survive on that since they are close to the Riverwalk
We’re super happy about the location of this hotel, everything you want to do in San Antonio is within 5 minutes walk. River walk is right outside of the hotel one block away. Super convenient. Loved the stay there.
Good stay
The hotel was very nice overall, breakfast was good, the suite was nice with the kitchen and desk setup. However, the bed was a bit stiff.
My overall stay was great!! My double queen bed suite was amazing and spacious. The amenities were perfect including the small indoor pool. The workout center had everything you need to get a good workout. The breakfast was what I expected. My only complaint was check in. It was not clear where to park and valet was not available when I finally found where it was. I called the hotel while circling the block 10 plus times but they wouldn’t answer. I called the customer service and they couldn’t get ahold of them either. Once I found where valet was i had to leave my car and go inside with my 7 year old daughter to find someone to help me. It was late and the doors were locked. Made for an eerie first impression. Parking was irritating because there wasn’t parking on site. I either had to park a block away (with lots of crime in area, in the dark, with my daughter) and pay 10-20 a day or use valet for 40 a night. After that issue everything else was wonderful. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.
I deliberately selected a room with a king bed as my husband is very tall. We were informed they didn't have any available and it's Expedia's fault. It's frustrating to find your actual reservation (showing a king) means nothing. We were given 2 queen beds. After checking in I went to use the bathroom to find there was not a shred of toilet paper in the bathroom. There were only 2 tissues in the box. When I called the front desk they were far too busy to bring me any. When I went down to get toilet paper, I found one person behind the desk and no other customers. The front desk person was playing on her phone. We enjoyed the breakfast and have stayed here several times. The room was ok for the most part.
.
Nice property , very tall ceilings , good breakfast close to everything
Great location
Great location central downtown 2 blocks to the Riverwalk. Hotel is clean, fresh and modern and staff is efficient and friendly. The 2Q suites are spacious and perfect for family travel.
Room was very hot even at 68
