our room had a water leak on the ceiling and you can tell they tried to repair it. The walls had stuff on it not sure what it was.

Booking thru Expedia we saved on our room plus we can always count on the free breakfast saving us more money on our trip. There was a street biker bar behind the Hotel that played there music very loud until 10pm. A bit annoying trying to sleep however they did shut down at 10pm.and all was fine again. Make sire you book a room on the front of the hotel. Otherwise the hotel and staff was great.

Staff were good and had a good attitude. The breakfast was also good. The only problem is the hygiene which is poor. The bed had hair and stains and majority of things in the hotel room such as the couch were poor quality.

1.2 miles away approximately from the Riverwalk center area. Easy to walk to and from Market Square and the main downtown area near the Riverwalk.

The couch where we were sleeping in was very uncomfortable you could feel the wires. I was only given a sheet to put on mattress. When I asked for blanket they said no. Also the room smelled and was very humid.

This hotel definetly needs a upgrade. Everything looks old. Morning breakfast is not that good. AC was not working properly.Its not worth for 200$ per night stay.I will not recommend this hotel for a family stay

Staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Clean amenities and adequate breakfast. Very close to the Riverwalk, the Alamo, San Antonio Zoo, SeaWorld, and more! Would stay here again.

This Holiday Inn is a bit dated. The elevator is extremely slow, better to take the stairs. The room…The floor was a bit sticky and the room itself had a stale odor to it that was persistent. Don’t know if it was the carpet or the a/c filters but it was bad.

It wasnt great the carpet had a weird smell. The bathroom had mold and overall the hotel seemed to be falling apart.

Enjoyed the property. Very clean and polite staff.

This property is NOT at the river walk. It was dirty, the water did not get hot, the phone in the room didn’t even work to call the front desk and when I talked to someone they did nothing. Will never stay here again.

Thanks to the front desk I think she was from India, she was so sweet and nice too. We only have something that I know it depends the bank but we are still waiting for the deposit. We made the check out on Sunday 28, July but still nothing 😑

Our stay was great! Loved our room!

There was ticks all over the bed good thing I woke up and seen them at 3am. Very nasty, never staying at a holiday inn again. The pictures were documented by the front desk.

I like location area very convenient. The only complaint about wash sink was bad 👎 very slowly water Sinking. Not only that the couch bed was very thin and uncomfortable.

The master bed room did not have a television. The room smelled like urine and the carpets were filthy, restroom walls were also dirty.

For the first time i booked this hotel, and will be the last, pathetic hotel i have ever stayed, nothing is good to tell about the room, room atmosphere, sofa bed, bathroom microwave, you name it i had very bad experience. Nothing is good. My vote is down.

Hotel is very outdated, needs a lot of maintenance, and smells very stale and dank. The pictures online and nightly rate was very deceiving! Makes you think it is a nice, new Holiday Inn. It is absolutely is not. The hotel is very old and has not been refurbished, there are so many updates and repairs needed. The hotel has a very old, stale smell and is an eyesore. Paint, flooring, carpet, and tile are all very old. The AC unit was ancient and the air filters were completely disgusting and dirty. The shower did not have a shower head, just a wand. And the flooring was cracked in the bathroom, every time it was stepped on, the tile shifted around. I laid a towel down so no one would cut our feet. The pull out sofa bed was so uncomfortable, it had a huge dip in the middle of it, because it was so old and worn out. The pancake machine was broken, kids were pretty upset about that. I would never stay here again and feel like I was swindled due to the rates they charge. Very frustrating stay.

Waste of money

dont book this hotel the pictures are not accurate they overcharged me hotel smells ac sucks turned it down and wouldn't cool at all ice machine is on the second floor only breakfast is trash not worth it at all overcrowded worst experience ever elevator moves really not matter where you go in this hotel its hot everywhere book somewhere else from a 1-10 i rate it a 5 i rather sleep in my car ac blows better then the hotel period!!!!!

This is an okay hotel but it is very old. Its okay clean but not the best

Perfect for what we needed: a clean, nice, big room where I felt comfortable. The breakfast was a hot mess, overcrowded in the tiny space with only one way in and out. The pancake machine stopped working right when my kid got to it. Luckily, we decided to leave for breakfast, but some people depend on eating breakfast there to save money, which is terrible.

Room was clean, and had very good air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and always had a smile on their faces. Made us feel welcomed. Only downside was the tub and bathroom ceiling was a bit moldy. The room telephone wasn’t working. We had a room above us that had kids stomping and jumping all night and morning. We called front desk so many times. However they were unable to control the guests above us and had to deal with the noise for two nights in a row.

Customer Service

The manager at the property was not very professional. Lacked customer service and very rude. I would not recommend staying here to anyone as long as this manager is still there.

Room was pretty bad. Not enough light. Only one little light in the bedrooms. Not enough to read, sort your clothes, etc. Hot water was minimal in the shower. Noise from outside the first night was terrible.

Kudos to the staff member that proactively looked at my truck in the camera and said you got a toolbox let me take off the cone right in front to prevent anybody from trying to open it. She should get a raise for looking out for her cuetomers

We got a suite, with sofa bed.. bed had springs sticking out of mattress.. lots of noise. Music was loud, couldnt sleet.. hair on the sheets.. shower wasnt clean or sink..

II definitely rate the staff 5 stars. They were friendly and helpful. But the property wasn't at all what it looked like on the website. It is in the middle of a commercial area with lots of road construction. Yes, you could walk to the Riverwalk in about 20 minutes, which was okay during the day, but not okay at night--very little lights and scary intersections. The room was a suite but had just the bare necessities, no art or dishes in the kitchen. In general the hotel needs a major facelift. The elevator looked awful. The breakfasts were good, though.

It was too hot in the lobby and hallway. It was set up for 69 but had 79 and still no one bother to fix. Inside room only bedroom was cool not living area and bathroom was like oven. Breakfast was awesome. Best breakfast ever in the hotel.

The property was nice. It could use some new carpeting or get rid of the carpet all together. The first night was great; second night the person above our room walked so hard and dang near all night I couldn’t sleep.

The hotel is close to the Market Square in San Antonio, and not far from the Riverwalk. It seems run down and needing lots of small repairs, but nothing glaring. Nothing to complain about...but

I feel as though the room was too pricy for what we got. Comforter had a stain that looked like blood. Air conditioner smelt like urine. The shower head was pretty dirty as well. Overall, the location is great. It’s easy to get to. Parking lot was nice. And although it didn’t look too clean (shower head, comforter) the room did smell very nice and clean. Breakfast was great and longer than other hotels which is a plus. I’d stay here again if it was cheaper.

Property was quiet. Wasn't anything special but very close to highway and downtown San Antonio. Would stay there again for the great price!

The whole hotel was filthy and falling apart! We complained to management that we were going to check out after 1 night because it was too late to find another hotel. She gave us another room and said she would speak to Expedia about refunding the rest of our money if we left early but when Expedia talked to her she refused the refund because she told Expedia she upgraded us to another room. Which was a lie! She moved us to the SAME type of room on a different floor which was still dirty and bathroom fixtures needed replaced. We checked out and they got to keep 3 days of our money! The manager even stated the hotel was bad because new management just took over a few weeks ago and they are trying to renovate it from the prior owners who didn’t do anything in the hotel. I don’t recommend this hotel! Also I won’t be booking with Expedia again because of them refusing to pay us back the 3 nights we didn’t stay there!!!

Nice n really clean friendly staff

The property was lovely. The staff was accommodating. It would be nice if there was some sort of shade coverage near the pool, a cabana or umbrella of sorts. The gap between the toilet in the bathroom door was small, which was a shame, but oh well.

The shower wouldn’t drain, we asked for maintenance, hair from previously customers in water, very gross. Maintenance said he couldn’t do anything. Very nasty. There were other holiday inns in the area, pick them. Elevator always dirty. Only one elevator for 4 floors. Breakfast was ok, but instead of orange juice, they had orange soda.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke; the alarm/radio in the room kept going off in the middle of the night. The pool was nice though. Breakfast has limited options.

The people in the kitchen work very hard to get the customer’s demand for breakfast I feel you can put someone else there to help because theres delays in food due to high demand and low staff, and you can actually put towels in the swimming pool area for customer accomodation. but other than that it is a great hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

The key did not work, the hotel was over sold. We went back and forth trying to get in the room. Eventually we had to cancel and get another hotel. We did not get our money back right away so we had to find more money to get another hotel.

The front office was not helpful in getting transportation to certain areas. The lock on the door was hard to open. I had to get front office to help twice.

We had a great time at this hotel! We came for the weekend and found it very accessible to get to downtown. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and the staff are very nice and refill items. The hotel is very clean and the suites have lots of room if you plan to visit with family. We had an even better experience thanks to Maria our front desk agent who checked us in! We were able to have a comfortable stay thanks to her attentiveness and we were able to find a room that worked with our schedule. She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome :) We definitely recommend this hotel; if you are planning to visit for a short stay like us or if you are booking last minute the process went smooth for us.

Satisfaction

It was amazing and clean and prompt when we had an issue with remote control not working and maintenance guy fixed it quick. I would definitely stay here again.
