Area is really nice, is clean but the hotel itself is average. The room was very basic quality and the beds were not comfortable. Your pretty much paying for the location being close to six flags.
Party hotel
Hotel is noisy and not very clean. We checked in and were given a room on the fourth floor. The people in the room next to us were extremely loud. Sounded like they were having a party. Went down to ask to be moved and at first was told there was nothing that could be done. The young man working at the reception desk said he could go up and tell them to settle down but he said that it was a Saturday night and it would probably continue all night. I told him that was unacceptable that we needed to be moved. He finally moved us to the fifth floor. When we walked out of the fourth floor room, you could smell weed and there was very loud music playing down the hall. After we moved up to the fifth floor, I went downstairs to turn in the room key for the fourth floor room and the guy at the reception said they were lighting candles and spraying deodorizer to mask the smell of weed. The room on the fifth floor was fine for a quick over night stay. Would not stay here again.
The staff was exceptional. No complaints.
It's located in a great place to stay, eat, look around
Well as always our stay was good staff is very helpful and nice the only things that we were unhappy about was had to pay to park which was new i would think the price of room should be enough.
Amazing stay
Worst hotel in area and over priced
Hotel bar service was terrible. Out of most beers. Ac would not cool room down never got below 74. Charged foot parking and it wasn’t even covered or reserved. Elevator was extremely slow and only one was going so wait time was extreme.
Everything was great
Andrea was awesome in checking in
Stay was seamless
Great location and amenities!
Close to restaurants and other stores
I purchased a room for my Mom who was moving. She had to take a cold shower because she could not get hot water in her room. Unacceptable!
Great location
Loved it. Even though we were close to two major freeways you could not hear anything. It was conveniently located to restaurants and shopping and felt very secure. We did have a minor inconvenience upon checking in but it was resolved quickly.
The staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend this facility.
All was Good thank you
Our air conditioner did not work at all in our room and even though it was December, it was stuffy and uncomfortable. We knew the hotel had overbooked so there was no sense in asking for another room and we needed two rooms so I didn’t want to change hotels at 9:00 p.m. We asked for a fan and promptly got one but it didn’t help much other than to provide some noise.
They did not want to give me my room!! I get there they say my room was sold out!! Had to argue with the front desk to get my room!! Come all the way down there for the Alamo Bowl from Grand Prairie Texas get there at 10:00 at night oh no rooms available wait a minute you do have my confirmation yet we do but you still can't get it room.. if that's the last hotel I have to choose from I'll never stay there again
Awesome stay
Amazing location and amazing service accommodation were made as requested. Colleen and lesilie were exceptional in their customer services. Thank you
We stayed 2 nights and we requested for room service on 2 day and they denied it. They offered to bring fresh towels and it didn’t happen. I would not stay there again.
Diego, Johnathan, and Jeanette were really helpful on my trip.
Did not like that I chose this property bc it said 75 dlls a night which was perfect bc I was not going to be but 5 hrs asleep, ended up being 115 PLUS they charge you for Parking (10 dlls in case) AND with this fare, bfast was not includee. Hotel needs remodeling. Been to way better hotels in area that with everything all together price is either the same or cheaper in newer nicer, bfast and parking included.
Not a bad choice but could’ve done better
Overall I thought the hotel was good enough for a nice weekend trip but I think they could do better to be more family-friendly moving forward. The nightly price for this hotel was not bad at all, but having to pay $10 a day for parking and $15 for breakfast was not worth us staying longer and I would suggest you keep your options open if you’re looking for free breakfast options and free self-parking
Safe and clean area
Nice and clean and comfortable
Unfortunately the front desk employees did not show up for work the night I checked in. There was a banquet employee who adopted by that was able to get me a key. The room smelled like vomit and there wasn't a cord on the phone allowing me to reach the front desk
Didn’t understand why we had to pay to park; wasn’t even a garage
Me my self is a little picky on mold on the shower or in the toilet or sink area and there was a little in the shower but other than that the stay was great
The overall stay was very pleasant, with very friendly front desk and bar staff. However, the facility itself is in poor condition. A standing lamp wasn’t working in one of the rooms I booked, and a coffee maker was broken in another. The bed sheets and covers were old and stained, and the hair dryers were sticky and dirty. The facilities really need to be updated.
Great Hotel
Very nice hotel and great service. Right by all the shops and food, would definitely recommend!
Great Hotel
We have stayed at this property on several occasions and have always had a positive experience.
We always stay here when we visit San Antonio. This time however, when we went to check-in, we were told the incidentals charge ( instead of a flat $50 for you entire stay), was $50 for each day you were staying. In addition to that, we told there was a $10 daily parking fee. The employee said they started that about seven months ago and it was on their website. That is not true, as we have stayed there less than seven months ago and that was not the case. In addition to that, I went to their website and the app and it shows free parking as one of the amenities. This was very disappointing and we won’t be staying at this hotel again anytime soon.
It is okay.
Clean, very helpful staff.
This place is old and could use a good cleaning
Everything was good but shouldn't have to pay for parking to just park in a regular parking lot. If it was a garage sure
Had a Friday and Saturday reservation. Called hotel that I would be arriving late. It’s all prepaid. Arrived Saturday and manager stated she had no reservations for my name and basically ran us off. Never offered a solution or a room. Walked across the street and got a room at the Marriot. In process of getting a partial refund.
Great, comfortable room with easy access to parking. Be advised that parking is not free. It's about $10/night , but easy to pay. The property is very nice and convenient to The Ron, La Cantera Shops and I-10. Very nice place!
There a lot going on in that area food movies n minutes from six flags
They should not charge for parking.
Jaden was very nice and very professional helpful Thank you so much for a great service
I thought we were getting free breakfast! I always get free breakfast in all my hotel selections ! Will look for another hotel next time.
Extremely disappointed with the hotel’ room conditions. Keys were not able to open. They had to force the sort for me and my wife to enter the room. They promised will fix it. We stayed out from the hotel for 12 hours and to my return and tried to op n the door, was not fixed yet….Worst Hilton Garden hotel located at the RiIM. San Antonio.
Bad service.
Convenient because we came down for my wife’s birthday and celebrated at six flags
Cleanses of the facility
We had an excellent experience staying at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Rim in San Antonio,Texas. Andrea at the front desk was very accommodating and gave us a first floor room close to the side door so that we can take our dog out when needed. It was an easy in and out operation. Also Sofia from housekeeping did a great job at keeping the supply of fresh towels and toiletries every time we asked for them. All of the staff at this hotel has a good attitude. I recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. L.H from Brownsville,Tx
Property is showing its age. Ripped carpets, scratched walls and poor craftsmanship. There was literally an electrical nut wrapped in tape shoved into the shower head. Keys kept getting deprogrammed and had to go to the front desk to get back into the room. You have to pay for parking in the parking g lot built specifically for the property and breakfast is not included and overpriced. If you just need a place to sleep it’s fine. If you’re looking for a nice hotel. This isn’t it.
Horrible costumer service and unclean
Do not stay at this hotel or use hotels.com for that matter. Save your money and book directly with the hotel. To start off, I was charged for two rooms and only given one. A family of 6 was forced in one small room with 2 beds, and they’re telling me no refund is available to me due to policy. A policy that shouldn’t apply because it was their mistake. Not mine. I showed up to my reservation. They’re playing the blaming game with each other and as a result I’m the one that was penalized. Not once did the manager apologize for their mistake. While I was there two other guests were heard arguing about the same thing. They take your money but do not provide the service. They are dishonest. The rooms are in bad condition and the floors are discussing. The two nights I stayed There no one mopped and there was dog urine in the elevators. Worse stay ever!
All good
Clean, comfortable stay close to I-10, shopping, and restaurants.
Very convenient location
Room had an unclean smell when we walked and they charge for parking, for a parking lot with no gate or secure parking. Somewhat unreasonable.
Hotel was run down. Had to run AC all night to cover up noise (mechanical?). Had to pay for parking that wasn’t even secured. Had to pay for breakfast and no prices for the food. Hotel across street nicer. Won’t make the mistake again staying at this place
Place is run down and dirty. Never staying here again
Good
The ac in my room was very loud, even though it was turned off it was doing a loud sound, they did not make the housekeeping i don't know why, you should ask for it. And also we did not have cream and soap in the bathroom refillable amenities. They lack for maintenance and housekeeping staff. The elevator floor was very dirty and sticky since the morning. Abraham was a great and helpfull guy. He should be in charge of the place.
Unsafe
My stay at this location was a very uncomfortable stay. One of the employees decided to open my door around 2:00am while me and my mom were alone sleeping. He stated that he needed to see if someone was in the room. I felt very unsafe and couldn’t rest after that. We spoke to the manager the morning after and told her about the incident and we did get a refund for our stay but it was a very uncomfortable moment.
Not booking here again.
The lobby was dirty. It had a terrible smell. The recepcionist was a trainee but was poorly and ver unprofessionally dressed. The room did not smell clean. The tub was dirty and you could see rust stains.
Excelente ubicacion, espacios interiores y limpieza
1st received a call from the hotel, stating that a Hotels.com had not sent them their digital card to complete our stay. The rooms are a little dated. When you flush the toilet. It sounds like a train is coming through that room and they didn’t have extra toilet paper to replace when the current one was out and there was very little shampoo in the container.
The employee
I would stay there again . Everyone was friendly and helpful
Vehicle burglary
Our vehicle among with 11 others was broken into in the parking lot.
Hotel was comfortable and conveniently close to my destination. Phone didn't work in the room when I tried to order room service was told they would bring me a phone and a menu since there was none provided. Received a call back on my cellphone stating I had to wait an hour until I could receive new phone and menu. Checked out at 9:45 am and still no phone or menu. Paid for parking and woke up the next morning with a tag stating that I needed to pay. But other than that Hotel was clean and comfy beds.
Pros - staff were nice and property was clean. Cons - Everything charged an expensive fee. The toilet made a loud noise. They had a window unit for A/C
I didn't like the cleaning, every other day. I had to call the 2nd day to have it cleaned, and it was 2pm!!!. no couch, or chair to sit. no Toiletries (Qtips, etc). in the washbasin the inclination was wrong so water stayed in it, leaving a dislikeable seen.
The room was very dusty , used my own saniwipes to clean coz they don’t they don’t have one, the bath tub was clogged , that dirty water stays on our feet coz they don’t flush !!But the hotel lobby is okay !!surrounding areas amazing with good shopping stores!!
Location is good but check in was not informative.
Convenient location. That’s all
Stayed here after a day at Six Flags. The property was nice. The room was big and clean no issues whatsoever except maybe that you do have to pay for parking/security to a third-party. You have to scan a QR code in their parking lot. That might be a bit of a turn off for some people specially, if you’re staying multiple days there, I’m sure they could really add up.
Front desk very polite, kind and helpful.
Not too much to like about this hotel, which was not expected. Urine smell in room, tv didnt work and front desk attendant told us there was nothing that could be done, water damage in bathroom, warped coffee cabinet (probably from water damage as well), and outrageous charge for breakfast. This property must be struggling.
Hot in the hotel. Only one elevator worked and we had to pay to park which we never had to before
Perfect location,
paid for 2 rooms BUT had to pay double parking of $10 plus tax for 2 vehicles and double breakfast of $15.95 plus tax per person: 1 person did not have breakfast from my room but the other person from the other room did, it was only 2 people usually these are included in hotel stay, what I saved on room accommodations was spent on parking and breakfast
When my kids and I arrived to hotel., they gave us a room that had a horrible smell. Then after checking the room/bed I noticed bed bugs on the mattress. Terrible experience
This hotel was very nice and family friendly
Checked in and front desk wanted to charge me for parking even though expedia website has free parking. Got to room and tv didnt work Got changed and the bathroom was full of black mold Got changed again and the new room had black mold also Got changed again finally Stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned. They were supposed to clean it every other day but it wasn’t done Hilton quality is a thing of the past
Just the hotel do kot offer free parking as the expedia mentioned incorrectly
Love the location shops are nearby also great to stay while vacation right across from Six Flags also friendly staff easy check in and check out
On the web clearly says free breakfast buffet not true!!plus had to pay for parking and wasn’t aware of that!!!the room smelled terrible
Just need a little bit of renovation in some areas
Love the cold rooms
Vehicle burglaries are common here
Hotel and staff were good. Kind of off putting they make you pay to park there even though you’re staying there. Never understood that. Also, seven vehicles were broken into the first night we were there. Luckily ours wasn’t one of them but I did find it awful convenient the auto glass repair guy was already in the parking lot before everyone was even notified of the break ins. Makes you wonder. Overall the stay was pleasant and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk guy was awesome.
la habitacion no tenia ventilacion y siempre estuvo humedo, no tenian caja fuerte para poder guardar pertenencias y cobran el estacionamiento,
Staff and property were great! Will stay again next time we visit San Antonio.
I was pleased with the property, however, I DID NOT LIKE that I had to pay $10 a day to park, you had to pay for WiFi, and you also had to pay for breakfast.
Not the best
We checked in to our two queen bed room with included snacks and snacks were placed in the room as they should but the room was 80° and AC was not cooling at all and also smelled like cigarettes and that’s not an environment myself and family is going to sleep in, they were booked up but found a room on the first floor with a king size bed and then added a roll in bed which was not the best since I had two kids with me, we made due with the room because it was late in the day but the worker said my rates would be discounted and they never were. Probably will not stay here again
Location you have shopping near by and nice restaurants Six flags is close
Muy buena localización y cerca de parques y tiendas
We will be back .
Well located. Place was clean and staff very friendly and informative. Parking is not included but for a small fee it looks like they have more control of who comes in and out, we had read some reviews of car theft and this may have solved the problem. Will definately be back.
Quick check in, front desk staff were very friendly
To pay for parking lot monitoring…AND my car was broken into and they stole my tail lights. It caused about $6000 worth of damage/replacement. Hotel workers said I should call the number for the parking company to let them know - shouldn’t that have been their responsibility? I was having to find a car dealership to work on my car to get them fixed before Saturday. TV was stuck on one channel. When I reported it, they sent a handyman who couldn’t fix it. But then proceeded to tell me the whole hotel was having the same issue. So all the rooms had ONE channel. I’d rather someone be honest and say they couldn’t fix it than lie to me. Very unhappy about this stay.
Stole cash!
I went to check out and was told the cash deposit they made me give them the first night was nonrefundable. Crazy! Told me all the hoops id have to jump through to get it back including going back up there to talk to the GM.
The tv did not work at akk
Comfy, clean, lovely service
In a nice location, good steakhouse within walking distance. Had a very responsive mgmt. for all my room problems, which I blame entirely on housekeeping. The light on the desk was burnt out, the remote for the TV did not work and the lamp & alarm clock on the nightstand were unplugged. In addition, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. I went to make coffee and there was already water in the coffee maker. Didn't even bother to see if that worked. Again, Mgmt. was very responsive and took immediate care of me. Just disappointed to have to deal with all of that in one room for the night. As a business traveler it was distracting at best.
