Good stay
The room was big and comfortable. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are small. The coffee machine was temperamental but we figured it out. Very nice property, good parking, clean, easy to find. The location is a huge bonus for being close to the airport but also shopping and food.
Good stay and food was great
The mattress needs replacement; very uncomfortable.
I had a wonderful time 10 out of 10 would stay again
We only stay at Hilton Garden Inn and won’t stay anywhere else very convenient for our weekend!!
Great room
The property was in decent condition, was pretty quiet considering there were soccer teams in the facility. The tub with the jets did not work which was the main reason I booked the room. Fixtures like the drapes and the lights need to be replaced, they function but look terrible. The room was clean, the outside needs better lighting in the parking lot, maybe some cameras. Overall its mid grade, 3 out of 5.
Tranquil,clean and friendly
Is supposed the breakfast continental is free and try to charge!!! as simple it was ridiculous
Bathroom and carpets are not updated or clean. Light fixture was off the wall and not fixed properly
Great stay!
Had a good stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The bed was great. I slept like a rock! The breakfast was amazing. Great selection of breakfast foods for our enjoyment! Highly recommend!
Not so great
Property is in need of refresh. Fixtures in bathroom were rusted. Ceiling needs spots fixed. Tile was broken in spots. Not at all up to Hilton standards.
Affordable, but building maintenance needs improvement - leaking sink faucet and shower valve. Loose wire in center console. Breakfasts and restaurant personnel were great.
Everything
This was a convenient location with good access to local highways. However, it seemed like an older property, and we ran into a couple of minor maintenance issues during our four-night stay. We would consider staying here in the future if the need arose.
The coffee maker was broken and the facility was not up to our standards.
Functional and quiet room
Front desk clerks were very kind and helpful. Room was very spacious with a pretty nice bathroom. The hotel interior is so unique and charming.
Convenient to the dr we had to see.
Clean
Very nice stay
Very nice stay, staff was pleasant and so was the room. The jetted tub was huge and loved it.
We always stay here when we visit San Antonio. Its a nice hotel with great rates. Excellent breakfast in the morning. The staff is very friendly as well.
One of the elvavators out of order. 2 lightballs un the rooom were out, did not clean thr room 2 out 5 days i was the. Pillows were smell really bad. Front desj clerks were very rude. Window shades broken. No way this is a 4 star property.
Made reservation for a room specifically with jetted tub. After checking in I went to the room and noticed there was no jetted tub so I went back down to the front desk to complain and lady at the front desk was rude and unhelpful and said that the rooms with a jetted tub were all sold out. Sinking room had a broken drain which held stagnant water and every time you use the sink a horrible smell would start coming up from the drain.
Had a very nice weekend
Lamps in room are unplugged with no place to plug in, smelly room
Love having the restaurant and bar in hotel.
My stay wasn’t the best I was really looking forward to the jetted tub and the Jets didnt work.
Not so good
The ratings were misleading. The hotel is very dirty with spots on all chairs and rooms have a bad odor like animal. The tub had small ants in it. The front desk is aware of the pests. The hotel needs to be updated. The wallpaper is tearing in rooms. Staff is great as they can't do too much to remedy most of the issues.
The room was in poor condition; bathroom ceiling paint was peeling, carpet was poorly fixed and there was a missing lamp next to the night stand which cable was removed from the wall, but wasn’t covered appropriately. We were placed next to the breakfast area and we can hear people talking early in the morning. Plus, when I selected this hotel it said they provided breakfast, once at the hotel I learn this wasn’t provided/it wasn’t included. This information wasn’t clearly stated otherwise I would have looked for another hotel that included breakfast. We were negatively surprised, we expected better overall quality from The Hyatt.
Pay parking
It was conveniant to the locations I needed. However, it needs some updating from wear and tear. The plug ins on the nightstand were very loose and were hard to keep things plugged into. Breakfast, if purchased was outstanding!!
The gentleman that works the front desk at night was not friendly and seemed bothered that I was there. Also the bathtub in my room had hair in it
Loves this hotel close to restaurants and the airport
I enjoyed my stay. Although I did book a room that had a jacuzzi bathtub and paid extra for it and then to get to my room and the tub not work. I also had to pay an extra $30 for an early check in when I had called two times a head of time and two different employees both told me there would be no fee. I would have stayed at a better accommodated hotel if I knew I would have to pay a fee. Other hotels had told me there would be no issue with the early check in and so did this property but ended up getting fooled and needed to pay more when I got there. If it wasn’t for those two instances would’ve been a 10/10 for sure.
Considerate hotel staff
The price was too high for such a dated property.
Dont get the buffet.nits 15 bucks for eggs, papas and sausage. The same quality that most hotels give for free. Other than that, the bar and bartender is excellent. Overall quality for the price is well worth it.
courteous staff, clean hotel.
The room smells humid and misty, the hallway was dirty. Carpet wasn’t clean. The ceiling on the bathroom looks like it’s about to fall out
Good but said I could checkout an hour later then in morning said no!
awesome and clean
Very nice. A few of the ice machines were inoperative and had to go to other floors for ice. Would be nice to have some benches outside. Overall, had a great stay. Thank you!
Needs a little repair in bathroom with leak damage from above visible and shower curtain falling apart. My wife left her earrings beside the tv when we left. When we got to airport and she realized, less than 30 minutes. She calls and they were never found. Said room had been cleaned already.
N/A
She was grand in her day. The carpet was dirty and unlikely to be able to be cleaned well. Needs to be replaced. Made it uncomfortable to walk on it. The staff were all excellent, helpful, cheerful and made the stay nice.
Great hotel. Outstanding facility and very helpful staff. Dining options within the hotel were perfect. Spacious and clean room was very comfortable.
Grungy
The room was pretty run down with poor repairs/upkeep. There was an ant in the bathroom which I didn't think much of but also found one in the bed. The tub area was pretty grungy that I checked out early in the morning to drive back home to clean up.
We had booked to stay 3 nights, but had to check out on the 2nd night. In the 2 nights we stayed there was 5 car break ins. The hotel does not have security cameras and claim they have a security guard from midnight to 6am. These break ins happened after the security guard left, the car alarms were heard around 7:15am. Being a big hotel chain, we figured security would be at it’s finest but found out otherwise. This was first and last time we will stay here. Hilton, do better and live up to your reputation.
The room was clean, the general area inside was good. Parking however was sketchy. I saw several cars with their windows broken during the course of my stay. Be careful not to leave anything in your car if you do park here.
I didn’t like that the pool wasn’t working and that there was no complimentary breakfast
Clean hotel. A little on the old side but still a good hotel. Only thing is the pool wasn’t in commission to be used (it’s an indoor pool)
Smell bad
Nothing
At least 6 vehicles were broken into overnight in the parking lot. There's no security or gates or deterence. This is a regular event. The food b was excessively overpriced for a value hotel. $18 for 2 eggs. Pool was under maintenance and closed.
Steer clear of this hotel! Our vehicle and three others were broken into. The staff showed zero interest or care in the matter. The front desk was very cold and dismissive when I tried to speak to them about the issue. There is homeless community living in the brush next to this property - which we didn't know of until the police came by to make the report, and informed us. The hotel has zero cameras and no security despite the unsafe location. The hotel itself has seen its better days. Only one working elevator, our hotel room had a lot of damaged surfaces (ie restroom floor tiles, counter, water damage, etc) and a dirty/rusty trash can to say the least. Please book with caution. Do not let the hotel name fool you.
While a short distance to the airport they advertise as Hilton Garden San Antonio Airport they actually are not as close as advertised. Two it's not that close to anything as far as walking to or shopping. Three I wasn't in my room 5 minutes before seeing a roach.
The staff was awesome!
The hotel was super easy to access & it definitely is close to the airport. There are many many places close by to eat & they serve breakfast & dinner in their own “restaurant”. The main lobby & restaurant are not air conditioned, or at best barely air conditioned, so it is a bit uncomfortable to utilize the many seating areas or the eating area. The staff is super friendly & helpful. The hotel itself needs some tlc—definitely some major updates & remodel. The pool was empty & I understand it has been empty for months. We will stay here again if I get a good deal.
I especially liked the seperate little alcloves in the lobby where we could sit in semi privacy while we enjoyed a cold or hot beverage of choice offered on an appealing displayed table in the lobby.
Great hotel as you know what you’re getting.
The staff and service were excellent but the building is terrible. It’s needs to be gutted out and remodel.
Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. My bathroom needed a little updating with peeling paint. Other than that I would stay again.
None
Parking was good. Elevator (1) out of order, pool was empty, all ice machines out of order, nobody at front desk to answer questions. Breakfast menu costs were too high. The coffee cups leaked.
Elevator out, construction on 4th floor, building is unsafe. Homeless under a bridge next to property.
It’s old and also it’s weird smell
Paid extra for jacuzzi tub and it was so disgusting I didn’t even get to use it. There was mold all of the place and the ceiling was starting to fall off. There were ants everywhere. Would not recommend
Not impressed.
Room smelled of smoke. Fitness center smelled of cat pee. Pool was out of service. I am glad I only need to sleep for a short time, or I would have switched hotels.
Disappointed
Horrible service from the old mildew rooms to the carpet being as old as my grandmother. They charged $16.95 for breakfast even though the bread hard as a rock and the creal tasted like it was left open.
Pool was under repair
A/C was not working. When we requested to cancel reservation due to temperature of 101• clerk told Expedia rep that we did not complain about the A/C to her. She was sitting in front of a large box fan behind the desk. We had questioned an earlier clerk who said it had been off for a short while. Multiple (meaning more then 4) piles of broken automobile glass were in the parking area. Desk clerk did not believe that was in itself an indication that my brand new Audi SQ5 was not safe in their parking area. Poorly maintained property all around.
Place is ROUGH. Crowd is one thing out of the proprietors control for the most part but the facilities, from the carpet to the stucco, are a distressed property. More expensive than the hotels on 410 and McCullough.
Ok
Nice place
The support beams were pulling away from the walls and the ceiling inn the main area looked dangerously close to collapse. There was something really wrong with the building. And the car next to mine had its windows shattered and was ransacked. There where no cameras watching the parking lots.
Check-in was very smooth
Location was great staff was nice and easy going they can use a little updating for the rooms but it was good to us.
Great hotel and staff
TLDR; 3/5 average place that's fine for a short stay, avoid staying near the pool. We stayed for two nights since we were just in town for a wedding. We weren't needing anything crazy since it was a short stay we'd barely spend time in, and since this is close to airport we booked it with the thought that we usually like Hilton's. Let me first say the staff was great. They were kind, fulfilled any requests we had, etc. so none of my complaints are about the staff, just about the building itself. We park in the parking lot (with signs saying in all caps that all liability is our own...encouraging as we sit in our rental) and walk up to the entrance where the overhange is severely damaged because a truck obviously didn't make the 15 ft clearance. Then we walk in to the nice cool lobby where we can't wait to be greeted by the AC and take a deep breath of...chlorine? We check in, and as we're walking to our room with the air quickly dampening we pass the pool. In the middle of the first floor. The indoor pool is just smack dab in the middle of the first floor making all of the OPEN HALLWAYS humid and chlorinated. It is the oddest architectural choice I have ever seen a hotel make. We were unfortunate enough to have our room be directly in front of the pool, so our room stayed humid and had a damp smell to it. Not sure if all the rooms suffer from this and I'm sure it gets better the more flights up you are, but it we couldn't stop laughing at the absurdity.
Needs to be updated
Hotel customer service was great but the hotel is older and needs some updating. My bed was sqeaky and not so comfortable and bathroom could have been cleaner. I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again if there were no other options but for the price I think you can get a better room elsewhere.
Property is old, bathroom clearly needed repair, probably had mold, and shower drain clogged. ants on bed and by microwave.
Awesome service and kind bartender
JUST PASSING THRU
NOT WHAT WE WERE USED TO BEING HILTON HONOR MEMBERS. USED THE RESTROOM IN LOBBY, FILTHY, NO TOILET PAPER, CRAP ALL OVER THE TOILETS. CIELING PEELING PAINT IN BATHROOM IN OUR ROOM, MOLD ON WALLS IN BATHROOM.PAS ON STAYING THERE AGAIN
Absolutely love this place!
Liked location to airport. Did not like the paint peeling from the ceiling in the bathroom and missing baseboard panel by the tub. Need maintenance asap.
The hotel has jacuzzi soaking tubs! That was really nice and luxurious! The staff was really nice and everything was clean and tidy. I would probably stay again. My only concern was it seems to be in a pretty sketchy part of town. There was actually broken auto glass in the parking lot like someone had had their vehicle broken into. There is another review that someone had their truck stolen.. so yeah.. the hotel itself isn't bad at all.. but the area is sketchy and I definitely did not feel safe outside at night and was worried about my car getting broken into.
Wonderful
Wonderful stay. Very clean, friendly, and quiet. The beds are super firm but great.
Everything was amazing. We arrived earlier than the check -inn time and they were really helpful in getting us a room early
The hotel was very clean and quiet the food was good and the staff attentive . The only problem was that none of the ice machines worked .
Danny's customer service went above and beyond expected. Thank you so much for it and really appreciate your help and support.
Room was clean. Location seemed safe... next morning in the parking lot, at least 12 cars had their windows broken. Staff said they have cameras but are not require to turn them on. It's ridiculous that Hilton doesn't operate their cameras or at least provide security. If you stay there, plan on having your car broken into. But I would advise staying somewhere else.
When I said that the price was 72 a night, then when I paid, was double. Too expensive for not even have a welcoming bottle of water. Like others I gave stayed.
Wish it was located in a better spot. Couldn’t walk anywhere really. Needed a car/lyft to get around
OK hotel near the airport. I did not take advantage of many facilities, I really only stayed at night. I was not even sure if breakfast was included in my stay.
Sometimes its hard to really find something overly nice to say about a hotel or its staff. Finding something to complain about seems to be far easier these days. But, when it came to our stay at this Hilton it was the opposite. The staff was great. The rooms were clean. We had plenty of hot water and the rooms were very chilled at night. We even managed to eat one mornings breakfast, and spent a little time in the bar. All in all it was a great place to rest up for my stay in San Antonio.
The electric plugs didn’t work on one side of the room. The staff brought up an extension cord! The reading lamp on the wall was loose. The safety latch was gone on the door. (318) Looked like someone had thrown up on the carpet in the hall. Or maybe spilt something… This property is close to the airport but has no shuttle. They call a Lyft driver. We were sending an older woman in the plane and they said he would not help with getting the luggage into the terminal. I was very disappointed
Room stinks
Numerous vehicle break-ins in the parking lot both nights. Piles of auto glass in the lot that never even got cleaned up. Spent both nights worrying my vehicle would be next. Install cameras or hire a night security guard! Would gladly pay a higher room rate to not deal with that. I guess next time I'm in SA, I'll be sure to book somewhere with a garage.
The jacuzzi tub did not work. Lamp missing off wall by the bed. No ironing board and no luggage rack.

We stayed here to go to a wedding. The hotel was beautiful, well maintained and has a wonderful staff
