I love the dining experiences and friendly staff..but some of the lighting in my room was not working and my shower drain was clogged
Beautiful property. The main issue I had was my room. It was one of those rooms that has that weird connecting door to the room next-door. No idea why they put me in there. But I heard so much commotion from the people next to me all night and all morning. The other problem was the bathroom. For some reason, there was a massive puddle behind the toilet. Every time I cleaned it up, it would come back. I told the front desk in person because my room phone wasn’t working. They said they would fix it. They never did. I paid a lot of money for this place and frankly, I’m a little disappointed. And I have a video to prove these issues if hotel management wants to contact me.
Lovely property
First, I do not recommend the partial ocean view rooms. They overlook the busy, noisy street and ours overlooked the dumpster. Ocean view was very minimal. We were unable to use the Beach 360 club on a few of the days because the hotel was catering to the cruise line passengers. Everything was very expensive. I received an email several days prior to leaving offering an upgrade. Upon arrival, the staff had no indication of this and stated there were no upgrades. I asked again the next morning and was told to check back in an hour. Again there were no upgrades. We proceed to spend the afternoon at the rooftop pool which was nice but absolutely freezing and the hot tubs were not working. We left to get dressed for dinner only to get locked in our room as the door handle broke. The staff jumped on this immediately and gave us an upgrade that they all of a sudden had available. After that, the stay was nice and relaxing with a lagoon view room. All the food was extremely expensive and with not much else to do on the island we pretty much stuck around the resort.
Staff is slow and lazy. At Hemingway restaurant there was a young man pour water and one server to serve the whole restaurant. Food was not consistent and my dad had to change rooms three times of the air conditioner not working.
A good number of the staff have an attitude about them on top of providing slow and sloppy service. Building is a bit run down and in need of serious renovation. Completely overpriced with limited dining options at and around the hotel.
Improvements need to be made as far as breakfast options, staffing needs to be friendly
Friendly staff!
I liked how friendly the staff was they were great and the resort was clean and well stocked all in all a great experience
Super bueno
a great place to unwind get some much needed mental rejuvenation in an environment without the big city life.
My trip coincided with Hurricane Milton. The resort was preparing for the storm which meant closing a lot of areas. We lost power one night for about 3 hours. We didn’t have water for about an hour the last morning at the resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will give it another visit because it did look like a very nice resort.
Excellent place to stay!!!
Where to start: a great hotel in decline, gradually and slowly falling apart. The hygiene at this hotel is shameful—dirty dishes, dirty glasses, hallway carpets smell of dampness, and the grime is evident. It's disappointing considering the price charged per night. You arrive at the beach club and they don’t provide towels; you have to go back to the hotel, and they still don’t give you towels—you have to go all the way up to your room to get them because they’re limited. It’s embarrassing how poor the customer service is, not to mention the rude behavior and apathy of the staff. We went to eat at the restaurant, and my chicken was undercooked. Despite the high food prices, the lack of quality is terrible. At breakfast, by 8 a.m., there were no bagels left, even though it’s a $30 breakfast per person. The beach is a paradise, but this is one of the worst Hiltons I’ve been to.
Excellent hotel highly recommended
Food bad and expensive. Shower was broken. Its the best hotel you can find in Bimini. Hotel room ls and parking are expensive as well.
The AC in our room wasn’t working properly. The hotel lacks attention.
The property is lovely, the views are splendid. You must know what’s included in your stay. Don’t look at videos on insta and plan, that’s what I did, and then found out the hotel which is bimini world, has the most beautiful beach (beach 360) a must visit, then the infinity pool (written in very small letters) but find it and go for the sunset. The food around the town is good but even Hemingway at the Hilton wasn’t bad. The lobby bar had good pizza and the fries were fresh. The pool bar was nice too.. watch out for the happy hour. It will certainly make a difference. If you would like to tip, don’t include it on the bill, just carry some cash and tip. The staff can be rude but guess that’s in the air here, don’t accept happy smiley faces just enjoy your views.
Very nice
Beautiful Lagoon view, great restaurants nice room, friendly staff.
Too expensive
Excellent
The beaches were pretty but everything else was a let down. The food is very expensive for what they are charging for. We absolutely do not mind paying resort prices for food and drink as long as it does not taste or look like something they just heated up and served. The adult beverages were terrible even their signature drinks on their menu, they had no real bar tenders on staff, they only knew how to make their menu drinks which had no taste. If you asked for a drink not on their menu they would advise they don't know how to mix it or ingredients are not available. The shower head in the bathroom allowed no water threw it, we had to use the attached wand. The only way I would go back is by boat and not stay at the resort. As for shopping they refer you to Fisherman's Village, why? There is only a few shops one very dirty looking restaurant and you will get asked over and over if you need a golf cart to rent. I feel bad for the cruise ships that unload there it has to be a let down.
All good
The rooms need maintenance
Not the service I have expected
Only good service was from bar tender at Monkey Business pool. Servers were not very pleasant and we had a party of 7 dinner at Tides restaurant and 9 at sushi restaurant. I was told on the phone before I went that we wouldn’t have access to the Beach Club only 1 day of 3 due to Virgin Cruise at port, however we were not allowed access in any of the 3 days we were there due to private events. Very disappointing. We also lost water pressure one morning due to a leak and one of our bedrooms smelled like mold. We all had to use water bottles to shower. If it weren’t for the amazing time I had with friends, it would have been a terrible experience.
Such great Experience. Thank you making the experience easy and wonderful. Will be booking again.
No good
I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel! I felt safe! The drinks are amazing! A special shout out to the bartender at the casino named Wally! He is so kind and makes the best drinks. I cannot wait to go back.
Be careful booking thru Expedia. Hotel charged entire amount when I was told by Expedia to only pay deposit. Charged 132$ to call n fix payment. Expedia should have fixed this for me
Street in front of hotel floods.
The property allows dogs. I was awake slf the night listening to the yapping hound in the room next door that was locked in while it's owners were out.
Failed to inform guests that they cater to cruise ships and not much to hotel guests. Most of the staff rude
Hilton is in poor condition the A/C on the suite is horrible. I've used Hotel.com for more than 10 years this Hilton is not on my list anymore.
Rent 4 rooms for 2 nights. The air conditioning did not work well and the last night we slept without air conditioning. When we went to the reception they told us that they did not have technicians at that time to repair the air conditioning.
Bimini hotel
Great place to stay in Bimini. Right next to the marina.
Hotel is nice and it’s in a gorgeous location. However, the rooms are a little misleading. I booked a balcony room, which had a small balcony with no view and was right over the loading dock/trash compactor. Every morning we were woken up at 5am to the clanging of deliveries and compacting. The balcony had no view whatsoever as shown in the booking images. Additionally, not a lot was open within the resort. Pool bars (when open) closed by 5p and only the sushi restaurant was open on our arrival. Not quite the Hilton standards one comes to know and love…
I read that the Hilton properties make up the majority of North Bimini, and you feel that here. It is virtually the only place to stay and while the hotel is nice you feel trapped. Also, you share the beach daily with either cruise guests or day trippers and you are not even allowed on the beach during some of the cruise dates. The food is mediocre, I recommend going to downtown for affordable fresh conch or seafood. And for the days that you are not allowed on the Hilton beach go to Radio beach (you will need to rent a golf cart). The rooms are okay, my shower didnt work right and we got a smaller room than I thought, but it was clean and the air conditioning worked well which is nice. My biggest gripe is that the pools, which are gorgeous, are FREEZING. There are 2 pools at the beach club, one rooftop and a lagoon pool, every single one was really cold. We went to the Big Game area one day so we could just swim in a pool that was even slightly heated. Finally, the best view is to be had by walking on the area surrounding the roof top deck - I highly recommend it.
Worst hotel stay ever!
This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in for many years. The food is very bland with a gas station flair. The pools are extremely loud with Boomda Boomda rap music. Asking the bartender to turn the level down is a non starter as “It is only one level man”. The pools are not heated, they actually feel to be chilled. Not one single hotel employee went out of their way to provide any level of service above the very bare minimum. Not recommended for people that travel for a living.
A/C in room was extremely cold at times Extremely warm at times could not adjust temp in room. Also half of the lights did not work. Safe malfunctioned twice in 2 days. Most of staff was not very friendly
Property was wonderful! In the off season I’d recommend more restaurants be open OR have a larger menu for the ones that are open because we had to eat at the same place several nights. I’d also recommend a hot tub for adults. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay!
pros: The hotel has a nice appearance and decent rooms. Beautiful location. really nice roof pool con’s: No room service I had no hot water and nearly zero water pressure in the shower for two days and no one really cared. Restaurant food was lower quality
So we arrived on Wednesday, November 15. It was raining when we left Ft. Lauderdale which is fine. We arrived at the hotel (after taking a ferry and taxi. Crazy how how transfers are not offered as the island is not that big), when we arrived, we asked if we could change rooms because water was coming in through the sliding doors but I was told they would call me back. No one called me back and finally when I went to the front desk, they said no rooms were available. Mind you we arrived in the middle of a storm and it was empty with very few guests in site. My friends who were traveling with us, had water coming down from the elevator ceilings, lobby floors were flooding with water. We stayed in our without any changes offered by the hotel. The next day, our bathroom smelled moldy and then the following day, the worst sewage smell coming from all toilets. There is rust in the public bathrooms. Another negative is when Virgin cruise ships arrive, you can’t use the beach club amenities. And by chance, Virgin cruise ships arrive two days in a row and the hotel tells us we are not allowed to go to the beach club as it’s only reserved for the cruise ship. I do wish this info is sent to hotel guests prior to arrival so we can make other arrangements. Overall it was frustrating. Wouldn’t come back
Disappointing
Anyone that enjoys spending 1500 for 3 days and loves to be treated like trash, this is the place for you!! Throw the entire staff away and get someone in this hotel that can train on hospitality and is skilled at creating a fun enjoyable atmosphere. The hotel is too expensive to treat their guest like they don’t matter. They need to take some cues from Punta Cunta’s Hyatt definitely not a place I would recommend or visit again.
The room view was nice, but very limited friendly staff. Sadly, cause they seem to depwnd on tourist like me. I not planning to return to the island. There is a lit of trash everywhere. Sadly, cause is a beautiplace n it looks like its people are suffering.
The breakfast in main restaurant could have had more options for non meat eaters and mort fruit
On Bimini there are limited options for hotel stay. The ferry arrives with day trippers and others staying longer. The reception desk gets extremely busy with check-ins and different patrons coming up to ask general questions. This is very unorganized and chaotic. Starbucks and area to order beverages is right along side the reception desk to the back, and as you can imagine very busy during this high traffic time. The Lobby has 2 main restaurants and again can become quite a distraction when the reception/Starbucks area is busy. The carpet in the hallways to access the rooms smell moldy and horrible. I learned this hotel is not that old, less than 6 years but based on my room upkeep seems to be lacking. I had to switch my room because the a/c was not functioning even after getting an engineer to fix it still stayed at 90. The food is not that tasty for what you pay. I would recommend getting a villa.
Marina was nice
The property was nice in the lobby area, but the pools needed umbrellas for shade and the hallways towards the rooms smelled musty and were not kept up. I was very disappointed in the room assigned to me at first, which was almost the last one down a very long hall facing a concrete slab. We made a change and were charged even more, without the room being that much better, nor being an ocean-facing room.
Excelent
The property is beautiful and it is very nice. The staff are not pleasure at all. Not happy to provide services very disrespectful, unhappiness providing services not helpful at all to guesses. It is so sad because the beach and the hotel are Amazing!!
Great
This resort is sooo expensive for what you get. The food terrible, the only good restaurant was the sushi bar. The service so bad. And, the golf cart I had rented and was parked in front of the hotel was stolen.
Good
Esta buena la propiedad pero hay que hacerle más mantenimiento porque se está deteriorando
My husband and I stayed at the Hilton and were not impressed. Where do I start… First and foremost, the hotel accommodates to the cruise ships that come is almost daily over their own guests, even though we pay more to stay there. If a carnival cruise comes in, the beach is overcrowded. If a Virgin cruise ship comes in, hotel guests have no access to the beach and pool at all because they restrict it to cruise passengers only. Unreal! They cater to the ships over their own guests. Beach towels were readily available when the ships were there, but when we asked for them the next day (no cruise ship that day) they didn’t have any clean towels at all! What do you know? Same with the beach, if no cruise ship, then no drink stand. Only bar service. There were people walking around the beach taking drink orders. We asked two different staff members (Enisha and another male) about refills, which we got the day prior from the stand. They told us to hold on while they went to ask. Unfortunately, neither of them returned or bothered to answer our question. We were completely ignored. Also, because the cruise ship was not there that day, they had a landscaping blower constantly going off while we were trying to relax on the beach. We were made to feel like second-class citizens. Room doors don’t close properly. Trash left everywhere by the rooftop pool. Main shower head did not work properly. Be sure you take the resort ferry directly to the hotel from the south pier.
This is a fake Hilton!! My room smelled like sewer, of course I complained and nothing changed. Poor customer service, people have attitudes! The casino is the best thing for this hotel. And food is expensive! Outside of the hotel, Bimini needs to be cleaned!!!!! It is run down, flies everywhere, trash on top of trash, it is like no one cares about this beautiful island…beautiful waters…but the beach on the island is not kept up, everything is dirty! My advise, go to Nassau and stay away from Bimini.
Horrible customer service, extremely expensive, and poor choice of food and not well prepared.Beautiful beaches.
Fancy and definitely expensive. Service are a litle slow . A/C is hard to keep at the desire temperature during the day but in the night it will go as low as you want. Swimming pools are very nice, specially the infinity pool at the 5th floor. Transportation is fairly easy.
The facility was incredible. The only downside for me was the glass bathroom doors. The bathroom has no privacy, none.
The staff are great and beaches are fabulous.
The location
There were many problems during my staying at Hilton Bimini. Ive stayed at Hilton Hotels many times around the world, and never seen this poor quality even in another lower-cost hotels. Cleaning/Health: I’ve found a long blond hair at one of the sinks in my bedroom. The toilet had stains. Danger: one of the water glasses in the room was broken on the edge and I almost cut my mouth. I was lucky I saw it before sipping. Noise: my room was towards the front of the hotel, which is actually the back of the property. Super noisy. Golfing cars, service trucks, employees talking loud early in the morning. You cannot sleep until late if you get one of these rooms. Staff: not friendly and unprepared. 1. On the checkin time, never was aware of the facilities and times of the hotel. In wanted to go out at night and asked what to do in Bimini. One of the employees said she didn’t know. 2. I forgot my key inside the room and ask the front desk to another one. The receptionist started laughing and making fun. He said “what an dumb” in Spanish to the employee next to him. Sad that I understand Spanish. 3. I wanted to buy souvenirs and couldn’t find magnets, so I asked the cashier if they had magnets. She replied back to me asking if I was seeing one there… Shower: poor quality. Very nice shower, but was not working properly. Very low amount of water coming out of it. Iwanted to check out after all these problems but there was no place to go. Disappointed and would like a refund.
My stay was first delayed due to the Bimini airport canceling my flight 2 days in a row and the hotel was not understanding of that. They offered no refund, no credit no extra accommodations. The resort was loud, dirty, and expensive. I would not recommend this resort.
Front desk was not helpful and not polite. Hotel did not allow Expedia to provide me with a refund when my flight was canceled and made us miss hotel nights. They continued to be difficult to get a straight answer. No one on the staff goes out of the way to make sure you are having a nice stay. This is an expensive hotel for not a nice stay. Not worth it and the visit to Bimini is not worth it.
Great place to stay. We had a bottom floor lagoon room and it was awesome to simply swim to our room. Hot water seemed to be scarce. The food in the casino bar was really good!
I was disappointed in this Hilton resort. It definitely was not what I would expect from a Hilton. The fitness center was very poor, the food selection was disappointing and the spa and gift shop were not open for the duration of our stay.
Beautiful property, clean, awesome food, friendly staff!
Hotel is dated on the outside and our rooms had no view.
Property was okay, outside pool Facilities and bar need work and pools weren’t heated. Very cold and no hot tub
Amazing hotel! Clean and comfortable. We are a family of 4 and we were so well taken care of at the Hilton. Most staff are super friendly. Special thanks to Rhonda in housekeeping! Treyvon at front desk and Nanneka (spelling is butchered I’m sure) at the Tides restaurant. So many friendly faces calling our children by name. We will definitely be back!
Try harder
North Bimini
Trip was good but city is run down.
Although Bimini is an amazing location this resort is very run down. None of the hot tubs worked. None of the ice machines worked. Food was excellent, staff was friendly.
The resort staff was very courteous and smiled to us all the time. The beach club is great, there are decent dining options and the shuttle service is great!
The hotel is very nice and pretty. All the staff was friendly. They didn't have our booking information when we arrived, even though it was paid in full, we are not clear if this was an Expedia or a Hotel's flaw, but they booked a room for us at that moment and all was OK. They provide no information about the resort and amenities when you arrive, but we approached the concierge and she answered all of our questions. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. The restaurants have good service and even when they are full, they sit you in another area and make it work. I found the food to be OK (meh) in flavor and quality, not great, and I wish they would have another (additional) cuisine option such as Mexican or Italian. The alcoholic drinks were not great either, but OK. A lot of the food/drinks tasted pre made. The lobby serves Starbucks, which is great. The hotel uses paper straws but use a lot of plastic cups and styrofoam containers, it would be nice if they were more environmentally friendly. The beach is amazing, really worth the trip and stay, and it's a short Golf cart ride away. The beach has plenty of umbrellas and chair and a convenient restaurant/bar on site. The three pools are very different and cater to a different type of guest which is good. Overall it's a very nice property with great service and views.
Really terrible experience with the Hilton staff. Ferry arrives in the morning and no check in till 4. No where to store your bags other than middle of lobby (not locked up). Check in system was down and there was no room available at 4pm. Staff was not able to even give late check out in exchange. 1/2 the places to eat were closed. Pool closed at 6pm. And they were burning garbage causing the whole island to smell. I’m surprised Hilton still puts there name on this resort.
Had never been here so didn't know what to expect, but based on the photos and that this was a Hilton, I had pretty high expectations. The things that disappointed me most were the customer service and the pool area. Generally speaking the Hilton employees were not very friendly and it felt like they couldn't be bothered to help you. The dining options at the hotel are limited and expensive for a larger family like mine. The pool that is shown on the website and in thumbnail pictures is that beautiful however you need to take a tram from the lobby/driveway of the hotel TO the pool which makes it very inconvenient in my opinion. There are 2 smaller pools accessible at the hotel, but one is an adult pool (we were travelling with kids) and the other gets completely shaded after 1pm (which was nice sometimes but not all the time). I wished I had come here for a short weekend visit versus my full week of summer vacation. A week at this resort is too long unless you have a boat.
Awesome
Excelente
Overall, the property was very clean and nice. However, there is no privacy in the bathrooms. The shower has a full-length window overlooking the bedroom area, with only a mini blind for privacy...it does not provide privacy. The separate toilet room has a glass door which provides very little privacy.
Excellent
We stayed a Tuesday through Thursday. The sushi restaurant was not open. The breakfast buffet does not open until 8am. The fisherman village was closed. Doesn’t seem like they are running at full capacity during the week or when cruise ship isn’t there. Property could use some maintenance as well. Large bottle waters $8.
limited dining options, limited concierge services, back pay additional services
Excellent hotel I highly recommend it 👍
Great hotel 👍👍
This hotel was truly disappointing. To be a Hilton and the only hotel in the island it is a big let down. To property is showing major signs of wear and tear and The staff lacks some serious customer service.
Rooms beautiful and clean. Attention Horribly slow and unacceptable, didn't get my room until 8pm wiht a kid been hungry and cold from the pool water. It is too expensive for the Attention we got,. The casino restaurant, super slow almost fall asleep. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HILTON HOTEL. Get an AB&B.
Loved everything, Bimini is beautiful! Beautiful hotel and wonderful trip!
price and cx services in some areis good but in some no is good ,but areas luke beaches really good and Neighbor hood people very friendly, and hotel charge more in property spouses to charges , in my opinions i give at hilton 3 star only
Everything was nice and clean 👍
Poor in restaurants and activities
Food was great. Rooms were in need of updating. There were broken shower doors and sliders.
We spent 4 days in this Hotel, nobody informed us that this Hotel is frequented by springbreakers and that due to that 1. the service would be reduced (first day a waiter served coffee in porcelain cups, second day selfservice with plastic) the buffet was different 2. the pool was closed for adults and instead loudest house and techno was played so it was extremely loud 3. we was asked to place a deposit that we used to pay our breakfast (btw we paid 1800 usd for 4 days, breakfast was not included….) cause our credit cards didn’t worked in Bimini- after using the 400 we got a call late at night that we asap have to pay 300 usd more for the next days to be nit locked out from our room - imagine you pay the room in advance and are locked out because the deposit that was paid previously was needed to buy food etc…. 4. we wanted to use the beach but obe day we had horrible music the whole day, second day the beach was flooded by cruiseship guests so can’t order any drinks at the beachbar anymore because it was just for cruiseshipmembers and the third day a huge truck with boxes played techno you heard till the end of the beach - 0 relaxation - 0 enjoyment. Bimini has friendly and kind people but is dirty. The hotel staff tried to help us as good as possible but the whole, superexpensive trip was so horrible that we can’t recommend the Island and absolutely not recommend the Hilton Hotel. A lot of money for nothing - NEVER AGAIN Hilton!
excelente hotel , la habitacion muy bien mantenida , la atención fenomenal , el transporte para llevarte a la playa siempre puntual
AMAZING!!!
Our stay was amazing. From check in to checkout. Definitely an amazing couple getaway!! Will be returning
I greatly appreciate the front desk staff on helping me surprise my husband for his birthday they went above and beyond to decorate the room for me as it was a last minute request. I can’t thank everyone enough for all there effort
The property was great and very clean my only concern was that all pools was very cold didn’t have heaters and not hot tube Other than that the experience was good
Resorts World Bimini | Home in Alice Town | Travala.com
Our biggest complaint is this hotel advertised use of the beach club. It’s the first image you see for the hotel. This is very misleading. The beach club is closed to hotel guests when the Virgin Cruise line is at port which was the whole time we were there. We were able to use the beach club for about 2 hours on our last day. Second complaint is dining options.Breakfast options are terrible. Expensive buffet or fattening starchy lobby bar stale pastries. Those are the two choices. Very disappointed in that. Service in dining room is very slow despite only having a couple of tables sat with guests. Food is very overpriced. We enjoyed the island and had a great time exploring it. But the hotel is a 3 star at best. They were changing names the weekend we were there from Hilton to Resort World, maybe with the new ownership they’ll revamp dining.
