Great property
Everything was great
Good value, property in good condition.
Family trip
The cleanliness of the the room was good, but there was some trash still in the room and dirty towels.
Convenient, pleasant staff…
Washington very close to shopping and restaurants.
Everything was wonderful, except for the breakfast. It was not good.
Great service . Hot tub closed
Everything was great especially the staff. Breakfast left a lot to be desired and the biggest Bummer was booking this place and getting back early to soak in the much needed hot tub. Only to find it was closed. Hot tubbing was the part of the girls trip we wanted most :(
Nice hotel. Convenient access to the freeway. Great for families. Spacious room.
Economical for what it offered, great breakfast, clean, quiet, easy parking.
Average at best
It was a bit upsetting that the pool and spa were closed. Housekeeping also didn’t really regard my “Do Not Disturb” tag before they just walked in without knocking. Breakfast was pretty good, though.
Little pricey but to be expected in this area.
Floor in bathroom was dirty!!
The room was very clean, comfortable bed, good service, and very good breakfast buffet. Some hotel chains offer breakfast and you go there only to leave and go to a restaurant because the food is either gone, or not good. Everything was as advertised.
Great
The hotel and room were actually really nice. Unfortunately, we live in town and we’re just taking the family for a little overnight adventure. Both the hot tub and swimming pool were out of order which was kind of the activity that the kids were looking for. So while a nice place if we had known, that was the case, we would’ve just stayed home.
Very clean, needs some updating with the carpets and better mattress. Otherwise great place to stay. Amazing staff!
Great place to stay! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!
I would definitely stay here again.
Good
Had very good night
stayed for family vocation for few days.
overall we had great room and very comfortable beds. hotel has a pool unfortunately it wasn't working on second day of our stay. we were able to use only once. however Jacuzzi was working but my kids couldn't use it. fitness center was good but a little bit cold temperature inside. breakfast is available included but it wasn't great. no fruits or vegetables available and eggs did'nt taste good, waffles were great. over all everything was great.
Above average
Great stay, friendly staff. Elevator broke and hair clumps in the pool were the only complaints. Breakfast was fantastic
No good never again
Easy access from highway and friendly staff.
The carpet in the room smelled wet and musty.
Very dirty hotel
The hotel was extremely dirty, so much that we had to have someone come clean the a unit in the room because it was blowing nasty air. We asked to switch rooms and nothing was available. We asked for housekeeping to deep clean the room and ac and it wasn't done while we were out for the day.
A pet friendly hotel with all the amenities. The morning breakfast was perfect. Great place to stay if you have a family or have a pet.
It was clean and comfortable
Stayed two nights. The bathroom tub had hair all over and had to clean ourselves. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and was told it was something that happens from time to time as a test. As for the beds, the are noisy and it doesn’t even fit the bed frame for queen beds; we stayed in a suite. Pool area has a lot of wear and tear due to the humidity in the room. We took the stairs as the elevator raddled a lot. Probably wouldn’t only return to the property it needs to be ungraded a bit.
Great place to stay. Helpful staff and very nice room.
Everything was great; however neighbors with kids loud and kept us up.
Staff was kind, rooms were very clean, and it was in a very convenient location.
Right when opening the door to our room there was a bad odor, very musty smelling. There was no fan in the bathroom. Despite using our own box fan in the room and having the window open the smell wouldn’t go away. There was only one roll of toilet paper, it was not re-stocked after previous guest, and empty roll was left. Only one remote worked for the two TVs. The continental breakfast was out of most hot food on Saturday morning when we tried to eat at 9am. We waited for a little while for more to be stocked but just decided to go find breakfast somewhere else. Overall, we just thought it would be a little nicer and feel more comfortable for what we were paying.
very clean and well maintained hotel. Very cozy as well!
The pool was hot! Not the hot tub, the actual pool. Felt gross, plus there was clumps of hair and candy wrappers floating around in it like it hadnt been skimmed for days. The shower in our room was a trickle, it took me 10 minutes just to get my body wet. The toilet in our room you had to hold the handle down for a 30 solid seconds for it to flush even just a pee! We were told there would be cookies served in the lobby after 7 PM. But when we showed up at 7:30 to get some the dish was empty and the girl at the counter looked at us, then the dish, then back to whatever she was doing under the counter (phone??). Breakfast was ok, but I waited for the omelette things to be refilled for a solid 15 minutes while my kids had waffles and it was never refilled. This was at 8am-ish, so its not like they were close to being done serving breakfeast. We've stayed here before, but will probably go another route next time.
Clean Hotel with Friendly Staff
Great hotel, very clean, breakfast was good.
Not Impressed
Not real impressed. There were stains on the chair in the room, animal hair in the room and no fan in the bathroom.
Nice location. Everything is nearby; shopping, restaurants, etc.
Checked into our room after a long day at lagoon, and headed to the pool and hot tub to relax. Surrounding the hot tub were clumps of hair, and not just a few. We went to shower in our room, and along the tub/shower was visible mold and mildew with hair and dirt in the corners. The walls were dirty, and had streaks of something running down them. The beds were comfortable at least. Would not recommend or stay again.
The staff was very pleasant, however our room smelled like body odor and was quite dirty. The dining area was also not clean. We won't be staying here again.
The onsite manager was so helpful and accommodations were good.
Mostly good, but kinda ghetto!
It was clean and safe feeling. Easy check in. Great service. The bed were not all that great and the breakfast was not up to part. Everything was gone and not refilled for the duration of said breakfast hours. The breakfast area was also dirty and garbages overflowing. There were kids rubbing through the lobby and breakfast areas soaking wet from the pool. They were taking breakfasts back into the pool area. The front desk clean just let it all happen. Gross and unsafe for wet floors. Otherwise it beats the hotel across the street that's under renovation without any warning. That's how we ended up at Hampton Inn. This particular Hampton Inn is a little ghetto compared to other Hampton Inns reputations.
Nice place to stay, bfk ok,
Great place to stay! We had a large family group and the staff were awesome.
Our bathroom was pretty dirty upon check in, to include hair all over the toilet seat, front of toilet and inside and out of the bathtub/shower. We had friends staying in 2 rooms next to ours and they had the same experience. When shared with the staff, the did not offer much of an anything aside from an apology and an explanation that their staff that cleans the 3rd floor was known for this.
The staff at this property were really nice and helpful. I also really liked the hand soap and lotion on our room. The 7pm cookies and continental breakfast were delicious. The pool and spa were closed and the beds weren’t the most comfortable, but all in all we had a good stay.
Hampton Inn. Layton UT
The clerk, Brianna was wonderful. Very helpful and nice. Wish all your properties had a Brianna
There were hair ties in the bathtub from the last people who stayed, one light was burned out in the room and the mini fridge didn’t work. Otherwise it was okay.
Helpful staff
Hotel is nice and staff are friendly and accommodating. Our room’s refrigerator was not working, but they let us us the staff one for the night.
Clean hotel. Staff was friend. Near a shopping area with restaurant choices.
Alyssa was an amazing hostess. Made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. She asked what was important to us and met our needs. Wonderful stay and we will definitely stay again. And the cookies were yummy!
lower quality
They only had one luggage cart for the whole complex. Not very service friendly.
Friendly staff, clean rooms and a nice sized indoor pool.
Pretty average
There was hair in different spots in the bathroom that wasn’t cleaned up. The pool being unavailable was also disappointing especially with the price paid for the stay.
The pool was awful!!!!
Room was very small for a family. The shower wasn’t very clean. I cleaned it. Definitely an older looking hotel compared to other Holiday Inns we have stayed at. Overall, it did the job
Chelsie's view
It was okay, but fir what we had to pay there was cheaper alternatives we would have chosen had we had the time. I have always been a big fan of Hampton's breakfast but this one was a little off the mark...
We usually love staying at Hampton Inns but this location, while convenient to stores and restaurants, is in need of a refresh. The hot tub and elevators were out of order, carpets dirty and furniture stained and worn looking. The rooms were not sound proof at all and we could hear guests walking around above us and up and down the stairs all night. However, the staff was always friendly and accommodating.
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a very long time. The staff was friendly and fun to visit with. The breakfast area was super clean, well stocked, great tasting food and plenty of room to sit and enjoy breakfast. The room was very spacious with plenty of counter space in the bathroom. We even had room to set up 2 c-pap machines.
The spa was broke, the tv remote would not work and the staff made me go seek remedy instead of coming to me, the elevator was broke, the hallways and stairs are filthy- a huge disappointment. Nowhere an 8.8 as stated on the website. The only thing decent was the breakfast. Will not stay there again.
Family trip- not great
We arrived to learn that the elevator was broke. We had to haul all of our items up and down three flights of stairs multiple times. We had hair and used hair ties in our bathroom and the icing on the cake was that there was absolutely no parking when we come back at night. We had to park illegally in the next door hotel’s parking lot. Won’t stay again.
We stood there for 10 minutes waiting on someone to check us in. Finally someone showed up and she didn’t even say hi and looked super annoyed that we were there. The room looked clean at first glance but then I stepped on a sticky spot on the carpet that was badly stained. We decided to check out the pool and the hot tub was pretty dirty as well, and looks like it needed maintenance. It wasn’t very hot either.
I'm 74 with 6 months into a new knee. The elevator was broken they put us on the third floor. Our stay was 4 nights. I asked several times for a lower floor. I was there to take my grand daughter back and forth to a dance convention so we had to use the stairs several times a day. It's been 6 days since we were there and my knee is still killing me. To top it off the pool was closed so I had nothing to do all day. It was awful and I am not one to complain. I think we should have been informed when we booked the stay. I had a choice between two hotels and chose Hampton because I have had good experience in the past. What a miserable trip
The front desk gal was very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy. Cookies are yummy. Only inconvenience was the elevator was broken.
Just far enough from the freeway to be in a very appealing location as indicated in the question above.
Broken elevator, broken pool, broken hot tub, drug deals outside my window, ratty neighborhood. Third time for me at this Hampton for my education conference. Next year I’m paying for my own room at a Marriott or a Hilton, I’ll NEVER stay at the Layton Hampton again, not if I have to go to the Motel 6 in downtown Ogden.
The pool was not in working order. And bed said they were premium when they were hard as a rock
Great property. Good breakfast.
Nice big room. Air /heater didn’t have an auto setting and was too close to the bed
Front desk and personal need to be more friendly.
Well kept rooms, good access to surrounding shops. Restaurants and industry. Stayed here for a business visit. Would stay again. Thanks
Clean. Comfortable. Friendly staff.
When we checked in Jonathan P was the Front Desk lead. He was very friendly and helpful, good sense of humor, and took care of 4 different reservations very efficiently. He was able to answer our questions and put our rooms close together. The property was clean, the rooms are very nice! I liked that the alarm clock could be unplugged to avoid an unplanned alarm going off very early. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
We went for spring break for the kids and the pool and hot tub. When we got there the pool was closed and hot tub not even functioning. That was a big disappointment. Fortunately the hotel next door was letting us come use theirs. Not as convenient to walk to pool but at least we got to have fun at the pool for the kids.
Avoid this place!
We had a king suite, so the kids had a pull out couch. When we pulled it out to make up the bed, the mattress pad was covered in hair. All kinds. So I had to assume that nothing else was clean either. Also, there needs to be a rule about unsupervised kids in the pool. There was a super loud group of about 10 kids in the pool for hours. It made the pool and room unusable as they took up all the shallow space, hollered constantly, and even had large squirt guns. No one in the group was older than about 13 and for the 45 mins or so that we tried to enjoy the space, no other adult was even near the area.
Wonderful stay
The shower dripped all night. That's it. Needs to be repaired. Paper cups aren't great for cocktails.
Not the worst, but not the greatest.
The hotel was okay. When we entered our room there was a strange overpowering smell. There were also fingerprints and crumbs on the night stands and tables. There were also hairs in the shower. The beds were also very loud when someone would roll over in the middle of the night.
The hotel smelled
In my opinion a hotel should have to stay on Hotels.com if they’re pulling hot tub or not in service. Because that was part of the reason I picked the hotel I did and I was kind of frustrated to find out that the hot tub didn’t work at all. Then they sent us across the street to another hotel and that pool and swimming and hot tub was a hot mess cause there were so many people.
Enjoyed most everything about my stay. The only thing that was a concern was the noise around me throughout the night. There were a lot and I do not believe it was the other people staying there.
Great location. Staff are always friendly and accommodating.
I was disappointed that the hot tub was not in use.
The night manager was kind enough to help with my laundry. There was leftover garbage on the floor and one of the pillows seems like it hadn’t been washed. Breakfast was great although the morning manager seemed annoyed. The hot was not available which was a big reason I picked this hotel. Some a bit of a bummer.
clean, nice, safe,
The staff let us change our room to handicap with no charge.
Clean/Nice hotel.... HUGE disappointment with pool
The hotel room was clean and tidy. The linens and bathroom were also clean. The key card worked well and we didn't have any problems. The doors opened smoothly and were easy to use. The beds were mostly comfortable. However, the pull out bed for the couch was terrible. My child decided to sleep on the floor rather than the bed. The biggest disappointment was the pool and spa. We were having a girls weekend and my girls were excited to swim. But, the pool water was so cold my kids couldn't swim, which is shocking for an indoor pool. It's winter here and cold, which is why we chose a hotel with an indoor pool. The pool water was so chlorinated the kids were immediately complaining of burning eyes and skin. Also, the spa/hot tub was completely shut down. All of this was very disappointing and we ended going to the community pool and paying money for something that we were hoping to use at the hotel.
I liked that there was a ton to do within walking distance. The rooms were clean and nice. However the pool and hot tub were in disrepair and not functional. Which is one of the reason why we chose this place. Very disappointed kids.
Great location with easy check in. Friendly staff. We stay here often but this time was really noisy.
Worked for one night
Nice quiet room for a single night's stay. Greeted with plenty of yummy breakfast choices in the morning. Amenity dispensers in the shower did not all work or weren't filled. Lots of hair left around in the bathroom, shower & on the towels.
Room was dirty
Hampton Inn’s has always been a great place to stay. Great amenities and service.
For one night only.
It was adequate for 1 night. Bed was hard, but had comfy pillows. I booked this stay, through Hotels.com, for the hot tub and pool. Unfortunately, both were closed for repairs. Lesson learned: call the hotel and make sure things are working, before booking. Friendly and helpful staff. The property needs some TLC, but was ok.
It was exactly what we needed for our stay: clean rooms, a fitness room, and walkable to the convention center. Staff was very friendly .
Stayed here for one night just to get away from home for one night. Mainly to swim in the pool and enjoy the hot tub. Guess what? The pool and hot tub were both closed. Kinda wasted my money. Should’ve just stayed home.
Great staff very friendly would stay again.
Requested cancel and no one responded!

Pool was under construction not mentioned online, half the tv channels don’t work, dogs everywhere barking early and late. Had multiple asthma attacks because of dogs.
