Lovely property in quiet country setting
Nice Spot but stairs, mice and flies issues.
Setting and hospitality was lovely, BUT mice running on counter in kitchen and through the ceiling during night kept us up, a lot of flies dive bombed me when trying to sleep, dead flies and mouse droppings to deal with. ALSO the steep stairs with no handrail or fall protection was a big concern and the large drop into the attic bedroom needs a step. Dining was closed as chef was away so don't count on food but kitchen setup was good. Had a nice woodstove for a fire to take the chill off and comfy sitting area.
A real find. Wonderful from start to finish. The three course dinner is a must! Breakfast set us up for the whole day. Lovely couple very friendly.
everything was excellent
Really great to get to stay in such a peaceful setting.
Lovely property. Our springer spaniel, Alfie, loved the grounds!
Lovely old homestead in huge grounds. Quiet, tranquil setting. Our hostess was a lovely lady and the dinner and breakfast we had were above average.
The location and was ideal and the building offered a lot of character
Very nice period property, with old furniture and fittings. Comfortable bed, and quiet environment.
Very private and most comfortable
Wonderful historic house in a gorgeous setting. Staff was most helpful and attentive.
Ok
We stayed in the house. The upstairs hall smells like cat urine. When we arrived the woman seemed like we were a bother. The gentleman was very nice and helpful in the morning.
We arrived at this lovely country house and were warmly welcomed by Simonetta. We were told we were the only ones staying that night and we basically had the run of the house. Our room had a lovely verandah which overlooked the gardens. Dinner was arranged for 7pm and was delicious. Pumpkin and Scallop soup, Rack of Lamb and Peaches with Ammaretti. It was a very cold night and we were very glad of the lovely fire in both the dining room and the lounge. We retired to our room fairly early as we had a busy next day. The bed was extremely comfortable and warm. Breakfast was great too. After returning home, I realised I had left my pillow and contacted Simonetta who very kindly organised to post it to me. Much appreciated.
