Lots of food options for every palate, large jacuzzi bathtub in the room, free use of kayaks at the beach, staff were very hospitable and welcoming!
Our check in quickly turned into discreet sales offers that mixed Travel lodge info with the required Palladium check in process - sneaky. Upon learning Jose and I were honeymooning at the resort we were offered to upgrade to a Signature bungalow that was quoted as $150, but we were charged $300. We were sold on being able to call for instant rides across the property, room service, jacuzzi tub, and spa massage. However, the phone and the jets in the jacuzzi tub did not work despite us walking to the Signature Lounge twice and speaking to concierge staff 2 days in a row during our 3 days stay. The $300 was NOT worth the headache for upgrading to the Signature level as there were not any functioning services to enjoy. Not having a functioning phone was a huge safety concern that could have had terrible outcomes. My husband is a disabled Veteran with a fused ankle, which made having to walk the great distance to amenities difficult for him. To be honest, these experiences at Palladium tainted our honeymoon experience, and in no way provided the level of services that we were promised, which is why I feel we should be refunded our $300 for the upgrades we were promised and did not get. Jamaica is a beautiful country with lovely local people living on tourism funds, unfortunately with jobs selling Palladium / Travel Lodge memberships with rooms that need to have maintenance made a priority in order to live up to the Travel Lodge experience they are trying to sell.
First all inclusive experience with my partner and went super well! Food was good, many restaurant options and great room service. Only thing about the resort was even if your villa is located in the signature level you don’t have access, there was a bar and pool right across from our walkout but weren’t allowed because of bracelets, wish it was labelled better but overall nice experience!
Stayed for 6 days and had the best time, staff are friendly and kind. We had a great time! Excellent
Very nice
Overall a good review - some dated features/rooms; staff very friendly & helpful; food very good with a variety of a la carte places; little more variety in buffets would be nice, but were quite acceptable as is. Would definitely recommend to friends.
We really enjoyed our trip to Jamaica and will probably use the resort again
Resort was amazing and food was great
I stayed here 3 times and this will be my last the first 2 time was before Covid and we had a wonderful time. this last time was horrible. The staff harassed us from the time we got there about a presentation , we agreed at first and then changed our minds and the staff member told us she only came in early to do the presentation , her son was home sick trying to make us feel bad and she wouldn’t accept no for answer. After that we went to the pool to get towels and I said hello to the lady and asked how was she doing and she said “a tip is how I’m doing” , and gave me the towel . Now I don’t mind tipping but she ask for a tip before she even handed me the towel. I’m sorry but this place has really changed the staff was not friendly no entertainment. Plus you couldn’t really relax and enjoy the pool there were kids in the pool throwing a ball and had hit my mom in her back . Kids was everywhere even at the late night bar people had little kids at the bar area. I could go on and on. Just think twice about this place .
To far away from anything
This property is huge and amazing. The food was good and the staff is super friendly. 5 days in we were still finding new places in the resort we missed.
Overall, the property was nice and the staff was friendly. The one critique I would have is the quality of the food. The food experience left much to be desired.
Large pool but hard to find a chair at times. Beautiful cove beach.
Had a great time!!
Many different food options, did have to wake up around 630am to place a towel on beach chair for the day, besides that, would go back here again. I’ve been with adults only and with whole family, fun for both
Stay was great love the room was worth the money
Not really sure where to start. Awful hotel and experience. Check in took an hour Took 4 hours to get our room once we checked in The room smelled of smoke, coughing all night and requested room change the next day Fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night Water and snacks never refilled daily by the housekeeping Food was not edible in buffets. Only good food was the crepe, pasta and egg station which you had to wait for Ala Carte dinners were slightly better but not great Steakhouse took 2.5 hours to receive food and it was not right , many people left the restaurant because of the wait. Hibachi is only good place. We went 3x because of this. Tried to get hibachi table and was not told can’t reserve that table through the app. Could not get into any restaurants our first two nights … we had to do buffet Alcohol ran out by noon. Not acceptable. Our hotel bathroom leaked from the ceiling into the tub making the tub not usable. Very disappointing. Tried to get drink in a coconut and the beer hut told me could only get between 10-11am. One hour a day??? And I went back the next day and didn’t have. Also why is that the only place to get that drink. I would never come back.
Rooms were old and had a terrible smell. Food just mediocre.
Came for the first time last year, and loved it so much we had to come back! Loved the huge pool, great food, great entertainment, friendly staff and wonderful accommodations. Love that most everything is situated in the main building, making it very convenient.
Great customer service throughout the whole experience
This resort was amazing the perfect getaway for me and my wife
Everything was excellent, property was beautiful. Staff was friendly. only problem was lady at guest relation desk(Sabrine Frazier} i ask her that I needed help in checkin on my flight and she said do it on your phone, she couldn't help me. I told her I couldnt do it on my phone having problem with WI-Fi, I went to rep at checkin desk and she got me on internet so I could do it with no problem. Did not like rep at Guess Relations she had bad attitude and she is there to help guests. But other wise everyone was extra nice. Enjoyed nightly shows. Enjoyed food,
It was a good stay; there are no elevators in the guest villas, so beware room assigned on the third floor.
Clean atmosphere, Friendly staff.
Bed bugs
The staff was friendly & helpful. Food was good - nice variety. We had trouble finding chairs around the pool. They were all reserved with hardly anyone on them. Other resorts we’ve been to had activities and contests going on around the pool & resort during the day. The Bingo night was rigged, prizes were bogus after how much they collected on $10 a card. They could have given out Huge cash prizes, but didn’t.
Everything was excellent
I like the facility. Pretty far out for some excursions. The rioms could be a little cleaner, but overall its good.
The food was average- could have been better. House keeping was fair- we stayed 6 nights and our room was taken care of 4 mornings. The pool was COLD! It was a true shock to the system after being in the hot sun! The largest complain by our group (22 People) the bar running out of beer... how does that happen in an all inclusive property?
Not the cleanest rooms, food was mediocore. Best was seafood restaurant and omelet station. Resort itself was beautiful but lots tiles missing from pool, tub areas. Needs to be updated.
Customer service and food was excellent.
Resort was amazing. Room was beautiful. Staff so friendly.
The rooms were amazing. The beaches and reef was awesome. The staff we’re fun and super nice swim up. Pool bar was really cool. Can’t wait to come back.
The activities that they had were so fun and inclusive
clean
Excellent full service Hotel with an amazing staff who are friendly and helpful....
It was just an enjoyable time. Very relaxing and everyone was so nice. I would stay there again
I did not the putting a towel on a beach and leaving for half the day, it it very hard to ever get a chair, the staff were very friendly and room was very nice, not too great for handicapped people
Great place!
Beautiful beaches!
Loved how large the property was, with multiple beaches, large pool area and excellent dining. Enjoyed the friendly staff and live .usic.
We spent 5 days at this resort. Overall it was a great experience and I would visit again. Food was great and we enjoyed all the restaurants. The only complaints I have about the resort is that we were constantly hounded about spa treatments. We were asked at least 30 times if we wanted any spa services, Also the drink selection was limited. They didn't offer any Canadian or American whiskeys and only had Red Stripe beer, lastly I think its worth mentioning room service costs $19 per order and it is not very good.
Seating areas were in disrepair with many missing cushions
We booked for Lady Hamilton by paying extra $400/- per person but rooms were alloted at Jamica side which is cheaper. Room sizes were different compare to the lady hamilton side. Restaurant staffs were terrible and definitely not very helpful for reservations time. We were seated 2 hours after original reserved time. Foods were terrible and very less option. I wouldn't recommened to goto this resort at all. Lucea area is not safe also and not recommened to go outside of the resort.
This was my second stay at the property. I find the room clean, great views, quiet, comfortable bed, ac ad stocked fridge. The pools are wonderful, and the beach is great. Love sunset beach. I miss the adult only areas that were available in my first stay in 2022 that has been replaced with Signature Level. I wish I would have known so all of our party either got the signature level or not so we could go to all the same places. The staff was wonderful, friendly and went out of their way to help. I wish there was a quicker way to check in and out and the different locations to check in explained better. Jerk chicken was great, and the Christmas day buffet was wonderful. Bingo was great.
Beautiful property with great amenities. Clean and quiet However some staff in certain areas leave a lot to be desired Kids camp and towel areas very disrespectful staff most of them
Great vacation with Family & Friends.
Despite horrible customer service staff with an attitude towards the guests, we liked Elisa and Cajay; they were wonderful and helped us a lot Food was abysmal and room service was not even close to what you get in Mexico resorts
Overall good but hotel to far away for any activities.
Excellent
Me and my partner stayed here from Dec 16-22 our stay was incredible. The staff was so attentive and helpful. The resort was a little quiet during the week and had some more entertainment going into the weekend. The food selection was great and there were a lot of options to choose from. Be aware there is a lot of walking and climbing stairs to get to your room so make sure you get a room on the bottom floor if you are unable to climb stairs. We climbed 4 flights every time we left and came back to our room. The pools are gorgeous and facility is really well cared for. Thank you so much for making our vacation incredible we will be back soon 👍
It’s a big property but they manage to move the guest around. One of it kind
Great
My stay at Grand Palladium left me with mixed feelings. Overall, I experienced poor room service but enjoyed a great dining experience. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly and allowed us to have lunch before the 3:00 PM check-in time. However, when we called the front desk at 8:30 PM to request the sofa bed setup, no one came to our room. Even after I personally went to the front desk to ask for bedding, no one showed up, so I ended up having to sleep on the sofa without any bedding. On a positive note, the restaurant service was excellent, and the staff was well-trained.
Very good
A
Great resort with very nice personnel and world-class entertainment.
It not my first time going there, so i went back because i had a good experience the first time. And it's also in my hometown.
Overall I enjoyed my stay. There are a few areas of improvement I think would e made it even better. I booked a signature level suite which comes with an upgraded experience. The biggest drawback was the little to no communication from the concierge or guest services. I called and texted via the WhatsApp number and the room phone but never got a response. It was inconveinent and a little annoying at times during my stay. Other than that the amenities were great. The food at Mo'bay buffet was excellent. Nice family vibe all around
Nothing
Still going on renovation. Few restaurants were bad
The food was great at all the outlet that we ate.
Really enjoyed my stay, would recommend.
Amazing place!
The Supervisors are terrible. I had issues with receiving dinner because my reservations were no good. The restaurant closed early and no one notified us. Then when they cleaned we didn’t receive any wash rags. Then we were placed on the 3rd floor the air conditioner didn’t work. We were then placed on a bottom level room the closet door was broken off the hinges the jacuzzi was filthy. I ask for rags constantly and to speak with supervisor staff for 3 days no one. This is a terrible resort.
We had a great time, friendly staff, good food and drinks but poor internment.
Beautiful property with many different dining options and bars. Absolute paradise!
We love our staying
Would definitely come back
This property feels outdated, and the food quality was disappointing. All the à la carte restaurants we tried served meals that were difficult to enjoy. While the buffet was passable, it was far from impressive. The room had a moldy smell and appeared worn out. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for young or middle-aged travelers.
Second time visiting this beautiful property. The views, service and vibe are amazing. I'll definitely be back again.
I stayed for 4 days at Grand Palladium in Lucea, Jamaica with my partner. The restaurants were great, the beach at Sunset Cove was amazing and our ocean view suite was impeccable. I enjoyed the spa - my boyfriend and I did a massage, facial and pedicures. I am a plus size woman and the spa robes did not fit which was frustrating. They should get robes that comfortably fit larger bodies. The spa robes are also heavy cotton material and it is incredibly hot in Jamaica. They should invest in lighter weight material for the spa robes - like linen. The all inclusive was worth every penny and the drinks (rum punch!) were constantly flowing. Areas for improvement are: customer service, especially with room service. Took forever (almost 1 hour!!!!) to reach front desk and room service from the room phone / phone would ring endlessly while playing a loop of a Christmas song Front desk were also a bit rude except for one of the supervisors, Powell, she was amazing and nice. While the food was acceptable and tasty, restaurants are closed 11 am - 1 pm which is annoying; the bars are supposed to be open with appetizers and small bites during this time did not have food prepped - all I could get was a burger with lettuce and tomato no mushrooms or cheese, and no fries. Even though they were open at 11 am and I came at 12:20. This is unacceptable and not the level of service and preparedness you expect from a luxury booking. The pool area was also a bit too crowded for my tastes.
Staff does not know what they’re doing
It was friendly and homely. But could do with some more signs.
Great place to stay in Jamaica
Good variety of food selection. Buffet overall better than the sit down restaurants. The main pool was out favorite part, it's massive but its showing it's age: lots of loose or missing tiles and bandaid plaster work. Very large sprawl, we did ALOT of walking to and from our suite which we enjoyed. Be prepared to walk alot. Very friendly staff. Drive to airport is About an hour.
Let’s start with the corridors and track across the property who needs gym it’s a total workout love it and sunset cove real Jamaican experience. Was too tired to stay up for the entertainment but I bet they were fabulous, on the meal side was not so great breakfast lunch and dinner was the same menu and what’s up with those junk of meat yes they can cut smaller and they would be easier to cook so we wouldn’t see any red stuff on the bone, to sum it all up it was a great weekend very comfortable beds if u want to sleep in all day, would recommend
Great food options and all amenities
Had to wait 2 hours to get in to our room , this was 1 in the morning , as room not ready terrible for how much it cost won’t be back
We stayed in The Signature side. The room was beautiful and spacious, however, the toilet had a very unpleasant smell even though it was cleaned daily. The bed was uncomfortable. My husband's back began hurting after the first night. The food options were limited. The food in the Italian restaurant was horrible, the seafood option was booked out for dinner the entire time we were there, but they were open for walk-in at lunch. The menu was limited and food very underwhelming. The buffets were decent and Xamaica restaurant was excellent. The customer service was lacking in some areas, especially in there Travel club sales department. We unfortunately agreed to listen to their sales promotion. This took our ENTIRE morning and even after we declined, the sales guy continued to prolong the issue. We were told that we were being taken to breakfast, however, we took him to breakfast at the buffet as they asked our room number and name at the front. Being told that breakfast was included was very misleading. The real turn off was when he asked why we came to the presentation if we weren't going to buy anything. Meanwhile the recruiter told us there was no obligation. He was very rude and pushy and needs re-training. Not everyone comes on vacation expecting to put down a $20,000 deposit for a travel club! The staff walks around asking for tips and are far too pushy with their additional services. You can't walk by the spa peacefully. They keep asking you to buy a spa service.
I went with my spouse for 3 nights and we didn’t have air conditioning. We spent the first 2 nights waiting for maintenance who said it was fixed and wasn’t. They moved our room on the last night and that AC was broken. I was denied 2x to speak to a manager, the morning reception crew tried to fix the problems, but as soon as there was a shift change, the ladies in the evening were rude and didn’t care. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere with the nearest attractions/tours 45 mins away and it was a min $75 each way taxi ride (cash only) The hotel is on a cliff, NOT on a beach. There is a manmade patch of sand you can lay on but only about 3ft out of ocean you can get into. I rated 2 stars for the food and the food service that were excellent. This is a vacation spot only if you don’t plan on leaving the hotel and don’t want beach access.
It will be helpful if room service was 24hrs, also reception needs to answer the phone
We loved the romance villa but our room leaked water like crazy from the ceiling we had to keep leaving towels down. I called room service for two days requesting robes and blankets. They never did anything about the leak. The food was average for a resort. Our room reeked of paint come to find out they paint over all the mold everywhere at the resort. They gave us the wrong colored wrist bands which we were supposed to have exclusive ones. I would not go back here.
Our stay at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton was lovely overall. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The resort has many amenities, and we really enjoyed the entertainment crew. We participated in a Jamaican rhythms and culture activity, a sip and paint as well as a chocolate tasting. There were nightly shows and lots to keep you busy. The buffet restaurants were decent - they had a wide range of options and most of the food was good. Chicken dishes were amazing everywhere. We also did many a la carte spots - our favourite was the Indian and the Steakhouse. The downsides - The check-in process was lengthy and the attempt to upsell and invite us to a breakfast in order to push resort upgrades onto us was a bit overwhelming. The reception desk rarely answered the phone when we called for basic requests, and our room wasn't fully prepared when we checked in. The resort is a tad out of the way and farther from a number of excursions than was convienient. Overall we'd recommend this location for your stay in Jamaica.
The bathroom smell really bad the workers where not friendly and the sheets dirty
We stayed on the Lady Hamilton side for a sisters trip. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the beaches and pool. The Palladium entertainment staff does an excellent job providing performances and just generally making sure the guests are having a great time. Reception and guest services were extremely knowledgeable and attentive.
All good … except couple of things … 1. Beach is not that great 2. Staff is not that friendly
What did you not like? Everything
Everything was wonderful except the geico that was in our room herassing other than that it was perfect!!
AVOID…please don’t go even if someone pays you 1) Checkin Process and checkin time was bearable, but it took almost an hour after checkin to get to the room. They only had 2 golf carts across both resorts (Lady Hamilton and Jamaica) and long queue of guests waiting to be dropped to their villas. 2) Room #1 There were bugs crawling on the table and strong smell of weed from the bed. Next day we ask for a change of room. They say they don’t have any available and will have to pay for the upgrade to get a bigger suite which was available. 3) Room #2 We decide to pay for the upgrade and switch to a bigger suite only to find out mosquitoes and centipedes crawling around. We complain and they do deep cleaning and fumigate the room. 4) Food We are vegetarian (eggs ok) and were hoping with so many restaurants including an Indian restaurant, we should be covered. We were so mistaken. Every day any restaurant we went was out of something. Indian restaurant had only 2 items available on their menu and were out of rice and bread. Mexican restaurant was out of guac and chips, Italian restaurant was out of pasta, and list doesn’t stop. It’s hard to understand why they can’t plan for food stock when they require reservations and know exactly how many ppl are going to come each day. We were there for 7 days and survived on omelette for breakfast and pasta for lunch and dinner. 5) Drinks Every single cocktail was a major disappointment and some weird smell coming from it. 6) S
Staff is very friendly . Our room was perfect ! Beaches and pools excellent ! The food was mediocre at best with little variety. Very disappointed with food options. Resort was beautiful staff friendly our room was great. Cleanliness excellent .
everything was amazing! loved the food and the staff!
A lot of different and Great amenities but the guest service was terrible. Watch out for angry, mean-looking staff 😂. Literally, everyone looked pissed off! Get ready to wait over 2 hours for guest services (especially housekeeping). The restaurant's staff were ridiculously rude. I think it’s because we didn’t give tips at the restaurants, but I intended to do so at the end of my trip. There are 2 buffet restaurants however, in the one called Negril, the evening waitress acts like u need reservations or need to give a tip before being seated!
Food and drinks were average. Thought we were on the adult side, clearly we weren’t
Absolutely incredible resort and spa! Definitely booking here again!
This is my second time to the grand Palladium I visited last November and then again this November so obviously I do like the resort that’s why I came back for the second time back to back because specifically I love the drinks and the children’s staff at the daycare center and all the kiddy activities . Kadesha from the Expedia concierge was very helpful and responsive as well . I appreciate all her efforts . Jerk chicken and drinks are very good . Buffet and dinning is okay nothing to brag about just mediocre resort food . One complaint , is specifically for housekeeping I stayed in building 27 room 2713 during dates Nov 17-23rd . House keeping staff was horrible . skipped my room twice during those dates and first time made an excuse stating that she had too many discharges and unable to Clean my room , I didn’t make a fuss I said no problem just give me some clean towels and I requested for the evening staff to clean the room. However, the evening staff, you have to request more than once for them to actually show up and then they hardly clean the room more like just provide you with clean towels and change the garbage. That same housekeeper skipped my room again when I was not in the room between the hours of 930am-3pm ( she had alll this time to clean the room ) I often see her loitering the halls and chit chatting with other staff . Now at 3:05pm she knocks my door and states how she couldn’t come to my room and needs to go to a meeting .
So good. Great service.
We have stayed at the property for two years and have enjoyed the experience. However, the dining is insufficient and somewhat limited. There appear to be more exclusive segments offered than normal which limits pool use and certain beach areas. The workout area needs updated equipment, specifically the peck machine could injure someone if used. We love Jamaica and love the Palladium but would appreciate an experience that lends to the dollar we pay for the vacation.
The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. The customer service was very good.
The overall property is absolutely beautiful - the various gardens, pools, facilities and dining areas, are all immaculate. The rooms are spacious and have modern bathrooms with a generous closet tub. The staff are fantastic - polite, courteous and helpful. The gentleman who runs the fitness area/ gym deserves a promotion - he was very helpful, informative, and made my experience all the more enjoyable! I did not, however, like the Travel Club agent who tried to sign me up upon arrival. She tried to offer me "free upgrades", but then turned around and sneakily requested some kind of payment in return. I initially agreed with her because it all sounded too good to be true, and I had also been exhausted from travel so I wasn't as sharp as I normally am; but when I cancelled the arrangements the next morning, the agent still showed up, and told me "I stiffed her". This was a very uncomfortable experience, to say the least. The highlights of the stay are the various live musical talents (every one of them were amazingly talented), and the daily Jerk Hut was exactly what I wanted for Jamaican cuisine - so tasty!!! Thank you for having us

I loved the pool and swimming, food was ok. short staffed so our room was cleaned when they had time.
