Most probably the best service in the world.

While the four seasons chain is well known for their "over the top" service, this hotel and staff take that concept to a new high. their attention to detail, and their true talent at delighting their customers to the point of making each one feel like royalty is truly breathtakingly incredible. they blew us away. this experience is incredible, and a real gift to humanity. thank you. it probably goes without say that the hotel is stunning, perfectly located, rooms incredibly comfortable, public areas are an experience of their own, and Spa services are a true delight, probably the best i have experienced anywhere in the world. this was my second stay, so i can say that this was not a one time luck - they have mastered the hospitality concept and turned it into a science. well done!! we will be back, for sure.

HIGHLY recommend this property. It’s amazing.

The concierge service was terrible, not what you expect out of the four seasons. The flat out refused to help us book museums at Buda castle, stating we would be able to book it when we got there. We walked there in the snow and when we got there and tickets were sold out.. Really disappointing. We notified the staff and then actually helped us book tickets to parliament. They had said previously said we had to call them at 7:30am on Saturday morning. They gave us the wrong times and told us we had to be there extremely early so we ended up waiting outside for ages and could have had a much more relaxed morning.

My stay was absolutely perfect. The location is walkable to almost everything and is so beautifully situated right across from the river. The restaurant and bar were excellent. But what stood out the most was the hospitality and attention to detail.

Like the city, this hotel is gorgeous. It's historic glory, location and ambiance make it the best hotel in Budapest. What's more, the service was impeccable. A special thank you to DENNIS, the manager of the KOLLASZ restaurant. He was professional, engaging, helpful, funny and relatable. Incidentally, this restaurant is a gem, and this city is full of amazing eateries. Also. Chelli, the sommelier. Of course, I'm sure I didn't spell her name correctly, but I hope whoever is reading this, knows the young woman I'm writing about. Oh, and also the woman who brought my wife ice to our room for her blister (bring walking shoes!) There are even more interactions I can describe, but these 3.stand out. A beautiful hotel is nothing more than a shell without the people behind it. I highly recommend the GRESHAM for anyone staying in Budapest. My wife and I know we will only stay here for our next visit. It's hard to imagine another girl topping our experience.

Everything was perfect with my stay, I never wanted to leave, this hotel and the views from it are awesome. The staff, room, spa, food was all amazing. I’m very picky with hotels and this far exceeded my expectations.

Checking in was very easy. The hotel staff was incredibly nice. They provided excellent service. All expectations were met and exceeded. I highly recommend staying here at this beautiful hotel.

Maintained in impeccable cleanness is yet with a charm of historical building. I enjoy every minute of stay the staff was very professional, helpful, willing to accommodate the majority of my request. The food was great in the restaurant and in room service.I highly recommend to stay more than couple of days , since the atmosphere is so relaxing . I am looking forward to come back there

Beautifully restored property. We booked a room with a city view and ended up in a very small room with a view of their interior courtyard. We checked out and went to the Ritz Carlton. Bigger rooms, better views!

Wonderful stay at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace. I was able to purchase an upgrade to and even better room with a spectacular view. The room was super clean and cozy. Service was 5-star and the food was amazing. I did not want to leave and look forward to going back again!

We had the best time. We were taken care of with utmost care and we loved everything.

The view is great, location is great and the building and lobby is great. Service could improve. Hotel is ok. We were at the four seasons Istanbul right before arriving to Budapest so maybe we were expecting more. It’s worth for the view the Gym and location. I would recommend for convence

The hotel is very nice, but the room was basically an overpriced box. No view, very small. Location is great. Next time I will look for a lesser hotel in stature with a better spaciousness and view.

The best location and the was great in everything

A wonderful two night stay in Budapest after an 8-day Danube river cruise from Germany. The Four Seasons Gresham Palace earned the name "Palace" -- beautiful interior and magnificent view of the Danube river. Top quality service from the front desk to the hotel bar to the hotel restaurant. Expensive but worth the money if one is looking to be pampered.

Perfect place to stay.

Amazing stay. They let us check in early after leaving our cruise ship at 10 am. We got to enjoy the day without toting jewelry and added stress. They upgraded our room to the chain bridge view. All of the staff were amazing from front desk to concerige to front door service. If you are able it is a 10/10.

Best hotel in Budapest

Every detail was perfect here. We got a basic king room with a view of the Danube (highly recommend!). Gorgeous building, great room and service.

I had a bad experience when the ATM in the hotels foyer firstly did not supply the cash I requested and then retained my card. This was a huge problem as this was the only bank card I had with a PIN number which is required to draw local currency. While I understand that the hotel does not manage the ATM they should manage the bank that does. Service from a subcontracted company located in their lobby should be held to the standard the hotel maintains. This very frustrating experience is the only reason I will not give this hotel and our experience an excelled review.

Best hotel in Budapest- great staff, nice rooms and perfect location. I’ve stayed here twice and both times were excellent

Pool was under construction. I wish we knew before hand. We would have chosen a different hotel. Also our ceiling was falling down in the bathroom, with a 2 foots gap. Other than that, everything else was great.

Great Experience!

Great property, great staff and an overall top class experience. Sauna, steam room and gym facilities were very nice. Lobby bar had lots of live music. Am looking forward to coming back as soon as possible.

Forget what you know about this hotel brand. This Four season hotel is much different than the other hotels of this brand, like a low-cost style Four Seasons hotel. The service was great but the amenities were like in 4 stars hotel. The “Lobby” of the hotel is very modest and looks like a passage… the room was just ok. Doesn’t worth the price.

we stayed at the 4 Seasons for 3 nights. The hotel was nice, room nice but nothing spectacular. service was good, but not amazing. i expected more for the price charged. i felt like we could have stayed somewhere 1/2 the price and it would have been comparable.

Stunning Hotel in a beautiful location. The staff was extremely polite ,professional and attentive. We felt very pampered from the time we arrived until the time we left. I planned our activities through the concierge prior to our arrival and everything worked out perfectly. From visit to Szechenyi Baths to dining in Rezkakas Bistro ( great music ! ) and of course the Spa in the hotel itself. Our room was pretty spacious , bathroom was a treat. Everything was spotless clean of course as you would expect from Four Seasons.The best thing is that you are pretty much in the middle of everything and walking distance to many of the sites. I traveled with my mom and she absolutely loved it. Great experience in this elegant hotel & city. We will be back for sure.

The hotel is a gorgeous property with a fascinating history. The opulent lobby and the beautiful art deco details throughout the hotel made our stay feel so special. The rooms are large, airy, and very comfortable. The location of the hotel, right next to the Danube and close to many notable sights, cannot be beat. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The Four Seasons Hotel is an excellent choice for a visit to Budapest. The location was convenient to the Christmas markets and other tourist attractions. Check in was quick and easy and our room was spotless. The concierge was extremely helpful with reservations and suggestions. Our family loved our stay at the Four Seasons.

The four seasons was absolutely perfect! We enjoyed our room, the view of the Danube, the spa, and the restaurant! We had a fabulous stay and Rebecca at the concierge desk was so helpful! The location was perfect, and there is no where else in Budapest I would stay!

An absolutely perfect stay at this exquisite gem of an art nouveau palace hotel, centrally located by the Chain Bridge, beautifully appointed rooms, courteous and helpful staff, delicious breakfasts, and relaxing swim in their infinity edge pool. I didn’t try the steam room, but the spa amenities were superb.

The hotel is in an excellent location facing the Chain bridge and close to many good restaurant. The interior of the hotel is elegantly decorated with ornate high ceilings. Our room was on third floor facing the beautiful Danube river. Thr bed is super comfortable and the staff is friendly and service oriented. It is an enjoyable and luxurious stay.

Fabulous hotel. Two interactions I was unhappy about: 1. On Friday evening returning to the hotel (about 9.30pm) entering on the corner near the restaurant bar we spotted a couple of free tables thought a night cap would be lovely- the atmosphere was great there. There were 3 free tables, set for drinks only, and no reserved signs. The waiter would not let us sit down at these vacant tables - and told us to go to the lobby bar. I felt poorly treated. 2. The telephones in the room did not work (213). We reported this twice.

This is a beautiful hotel that is across from the Chain Bridge and within a 20-minute walk of most of the major attractions in Budapest. Great staff.

Amazing hotel and experience

Amazing! A historic building - beautifully restored - at the foot of the Chain Bridge, one of the biggest attractions and tethers between Buda and Pest. The experience was outstanding - tremendous - the staff, the spa - everything from start to finish! Can’t say enough glowing things!

Great service, property and location

Standard Four Seasons. Safe and old fashioned.

It was standard Four Seasons, however our room was dark and not as luxurious as had hoped considering we were upgraded. The spa does not have a “wellness” space post treatment so you have to go straight by the pool which was a little busy and not relaxing. Some of the staff were amazing, but I’d expect that from Four Seasons. I think they could do with some tech upgrades in the room to keep themselves on point.

We liked everything about this property. From the thoughtful front desk, to the excellent restaurant, to bell staff that smiled and opened doors, to the incredible service from the concierge staff. This was the best of everything.

Amazing building with friendly staff who know your name before you arrive. You always know when you are in a four seasons, and this is a shining example of the name

Great, but not excellent.

Very very nice, but for the $900 I spent for 1 night I was very disappointed that a 5 minute trip in their car was $40, and for the concierge to book a tour for us there was a 10% service charge. I hate to be nickled and dimed especially when paying for service and quality in the room rate.

Honeymoon worthy

My husband and I booked this hotel for our second honey moon. Neither of us had been to Budapest and because we are not very mobile we wanted to make sure we'd have the best view. The Four Seasons did not disappoint. What a fabulous place. We had a suite with a view overlooking the river. The room was spacious with many seating options. The bed was soft.. Little details: room control temperature was pleasant, not blowing, the room service was excellent (they came in quite often, make sure to put up your sign if you don't want that). There was only one sink in the bathroom and no door to the toilet (better be intimate). The Spa services were top notch. I had facials, Hungarian mud mask, pedicure. All were remarkable. The gym was well equipped for my routine needs, I went there every day. The restaurant downstairs was good and the in room menu was actually delicious! We also booked a tour of the city with chauffeur. The drivers and guide were a little too obvious about wanting their tip, I wish there had been a more efficient way for the hotel to make sure it was added to the bill. The guide even asked if we wanted to pay in cash because it would be 10% cheaper, which we obviously did not. I understand they are not affiliated with the hotel but these conversations are awkward. Another thing I personally don't enjoy is the check in experience when we are asked if we want to upgrade when it's nearly midnight and I want to sleep. One more thing: breakfast was not included.
