Great location
I really loved the friendly staff. I enjoyed the attempts they made to make our stay perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make Accommodations for my husband , my grandchildren, daughter and I. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quite spacious. All in all I really enjoyed our stay.
Always a good stay.
We have been there several times and it has always been an enjoyable stay. The front desk, as well as it’s staff, is very helpful. The property is dated but very well kept & clean.
When I arrived it was after checking time! Room wasn’t cleaned yet and when I did get my room I was told AC was broken! So I spent the first night with a fan! The room could use a lot of updating! I had kitchenette room with no pots pans or utensils! What I will say is the staff was nice and did try to do what they could to fix the issues.
The property has so much potential to be more. Fresh coat of paint would do wonders. The staff however, top notch on customers. Ms Diana in the kitchen and Ms Dawn in room service, those ladies fully understand the value of going above and beyond for guests.
It’s a basic room on the beach. First room was small with no aircon and the door was broken allowing bugs in. We suffered that night. We were moved to another room. We had four of us and the room they were going to move us to had only space for 3 so we had to buy additional room as they didn’t provide a proper room for 4 without bugs or air conditioning
A comfortable non-all inclusive resort.
Foote Prints is a small, cozy hotel near the center of 7 mile beach. I found the rooms to be quiet, comfortable and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful.
Nice local vibe in Paradise
Footeprint was very nice. The staff was very pleasant and proximity to the beach was a plus. If you want a local breakfast you have to be sure to let the staff know ahead of time as due to covid its not very busy and there is a slim down staff.
The room was spacious, however, the floors were not clean. What can we expect since it's so cheap? The food is quite expensive. The beach is right there. There is no pool.
Even with the hardship of the Covid virus, the stay here was very nice. The people in charge could not have been more pleasant & helpful. All guidelines for keeping things safe were followed and once again, it was a pleasure to stay there.
Like: on the beach. Not like: staff, rooms with poor ac, tv with low sound, bathrooms with low light, price, chef is allergic to lobster, really??
Room look horrible and down graded . Bathroom was tiny and looj dirty. Did not like it there and therefore wouldn't recommend my enemy to Foote prints
Great location, a little dated but friendly stuff and location makes up for it
We liked the Ocean . Meeting the people on the beach. The staff were great. The property needs to be updated . The owners did not want to Hear what our thoughts were. Peter Brown is who holds the place together. We will not return. It is sad because Footprints was beautiful 30 yrs ago. We had 2 shelves to put our clothes for the week. We accepted a room the first night I was afraid to walk barefooted on the floor . It was not clean. We got charged 120.00 xtra dollars for the week to move to what they called a deluxe room. Negril has been overbuilt and the ambiance is gone. We will miss the workers who put their heart and soul into trying to make it right. They could only do so much. The owners will not put any money into the property. The owner is proud of the property because it is payed for. Very Sad .
I have stayed here before once on new years eve and my experience was not good but i decided to try it again not on a holiday to see as i did like the beach location. I do think it would be way nicer if they put a little money in updating things like the washrooms and some of the older rooms. Like I do feel they should either never put people in the rooms right next to the office,or update them, or put them at a lesser value then the rest of their rooms. As on my first trip i paid the same money as my other family and my room looked like a servent room while theirs looked very nice with lots of light and updated stuff. I would have like more west indian options for breakfast as i get american like stuff all the time. Overall this place is clean and for an not all inclusive place the price was good.
room didnt have shampoo and conditionar. They said it is not all inclusive hotel. Safe was broke and closet doesnt close
The staff was lovely and helpful. Great location on a quieter stretch of the beach. The beachside bar is great place for watching the sunset. However the rooms and restaurant area could use updating. Very basic rooms, you only get a small bar of soap and WiFi was out most days.
The dining room staff is awesome, security guards were very polite and caring. When I checked in I booked two double beds ended up having to wait for the security guard to call whom ever so I could get a room with a double bed at 2am in the morning cause I had a late check in
Internet advertised but could not connect in room. There are no amenities.
Affordable rooms in a perfect Negril location!
Based on other reviews I expected this place to be a little on the shabby side, which it was, but the price was reasonable and you cannot beat the location. The sheets were clean, there was fresh coffee every morning and you could walk right onto the beach from the premises. We had a really nice stay and I’d probably return again!
The place is very nice right on the beach you can have breakfast on the beach it's just beautiful
The beds need a upgrade and they need new Tv.the place is beautiful right next to the beach breakfast is great and Drink the Jamaican food is good and the two ladies at the bar.
Great beach access, rooms need upgrade ocean front is the Best!!
Right on beach, no a lot going on at hotel but if beach is what your loooking for this is a good value
Beautiful Beach Run Down Hotel
The room is in need of desperate renovation. Beds are uncomfortable and overall feel is shabby and run down (plastic shower curtain, old, green chair to sit in, etc). The beach is lovely however.
I like that it is on the beach close to margarita Ville. I just wished that the amenities listed were in the room. We asked about the baby sitting and the lady said she would get back to me and never did.
Meh
Room was clean and comfortable, except for the lack of power outlets (only one double outlet, and it was loose).
It had everything I needed and more and the bleach was great. It was a great experience for the price.
Very nice, very reasonable.
The room was very neat & clean & the front desk person was very pleasant. No breakfast, but it was said that the breakfast area will be finished after the 1st of the year. Fresh coffee, 24-7.
FAKE PICTURES PLEASE AVOID JAMAICA PLEASE
PLEASE PLEASE DONT STAY HERE OR GO TO JAMAICA PERIOD.WAS ORIGINALLY STAYING AT ZANZI BEACH RESORT NEXT DOOR BUT HOTEL ISNT IN OPERATION SHOWED UP TO JAMAICA IN THE NIGHT BECAUSE FLIGHTS WERE DELAYED TO BE GREETED AT THE GATE AND TOLD SORRY THIS HOTEL IS SHUT DOWN THESE ARE FAKE PICTURES!!!!!!!!! The sliding door was a joke and not secure either if your reading this please go somewhere else the vibes on this island are terrible Even the nice resorts you will feel trapped because is so unsafe outside your "compound"
Outdated
Absolutely garbage. No fridges available. Lousy WI-FI .No pool.outdated rooms.....And when booking your agent told me it had good start ratings compared to the Palms Negril where I stayed at week earlier....And payed way more for this hellhole.
Location=gem Comfort=fail
We checked in and was quite happy with the kindness of the staff. Our room was ready immediately. Room was very small. The bed very uncomfortable. You need to put your room key card into a slot in the wall in order for the electricity to work so when you leave the room and take your room key card your AC and everything turns off. I know they are doing this obviously to save electricity however when you are not used to the heat it is nice to return to a nice cool room this kind of got old having to wait forever for the AC to cool the room down every time you left the room. Sometimes it took the hot water about five minutes to come after turning the water pressure on. The great thing about this place is every room is a short walk to the beach. Great stretch of beach. The service at the restaurant is very slow but the food is pretty good. It is nice eating and have the ocean only about 10 feet away. If you are on a budget and need a place to stay and you can get a good deal here and you're not worried about A small room or a uncomfortable bed go for it. If you are high maintenance definitely not for you.
Simple hotel on the beach, great staff.
This hotel is a gem. It is right on the beach and is extremely cozy. It is definitely a no frills place and the rooms could use a little bit of a refresh, but it is impeccably clean (and housekeeping managed to clean all the sand out every day). The hotel also has a bar/restaurant on the beach which is again, simple and good. The part that really will make me go back. Everyone at the hotel was incredible and made us feel at home. Makare at the front desk and Stuart at security were both great. The hotel owners even gave all of the women the day off for an international women's conference and Makare worked a double shift! I'll be back!
They Stole My Credit Info-Don't Trust Them
It was terrible. The room I booked was given to another and I had to wait until the following day to get a room just like what I had requested a month in advance. Whatever you do don't give them your credit card details. I gave my credit card to the person working at reception in order to pay for something that I had charged to my room, which I believed to be routine. I checked out of Footeprint on 16feb2016 and hadn't used my card anywhere else. I received a call from my credit card company on 23feb2016 advising that someone from Jamaica was using my card today. Don't give them your credit card info!!!
Family time
The location was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating but it is really a very basic hotel. The room could have used a dresser, a little fridge and a coffee machine or microwave. This would have added so much more to my stay.
The beach makes it worth it.
The hotel needs to improve the infrastructure. Not much to offer but the beach is awesome and the price is low. All in all, a fair value.
Don't trust Expedia's description
Based on Expedia we expected a balcony for our room, lounge chairs on the beach, and beach towels. There was no balcony. The few lounge chairs available were all reserved early, one time by 6:30AM and many were broken and all were filthy. Asked about beach towels and was told to go to front desk. Got two frayed towels that were more like bath towels. The maid then went and took them from the room even though only one was used. The place seemed to have a problem with towels in general. Never received any hand towels. Got wash cloths infrequently. Bath towels were sometimes not provided until late in the day and there were two for us (my wife has very long hair and frequently uses one to wrap her hair). The towels were always taken even though we hung them up for reuse. Could definitely use some maintenance as the door/lock needed replacing and the dresser was literally falling apart. Cleaning could also have been better as there was mold behind the door in the bath. Toilet frequently took 3+ flushes to work. Bring your own showerhead (we did) because the one in our room went everywhere but on you. Based on comments by other guests we must have had the better room. Avoid the restaurant/bar. We found things to be totally inconsistent here and the "local flavor" for menu items went a little too far. Eggs benedict was toast, hard poached eggs, one slice bacon. Sausage was half a chicken hot dog. Price was also inconsistent. Much cheaper/better down the beach.
Chillin n Negril.
Nice clean and safe. Decent vibe around it and great staff.
Lovely home away from home
Lovely little family run hotel located along the seven mile beach. I booked the hotel for my parents. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. The bed was comfortable and had fridge and the view of the ocean was the best, There are lots of places to eat close by as well as food cooked onsite. Had a very relaxing time. The staff went all out to make their stay memorable.
My stay was not comfortable because there was no fridge in the room and the hot water in the shower takes forever to come on
So so
Not impressive
Customer service
Makare, Suzette, and I think her name was Deedra, were absolutely incredible. They helped us with our every need immediately without hesitation. They were really friendly and gave us incredible information on where to go. The hotel itself was a good stay, and it was close to a lot of things.
Is a good hotel, but look unattended. the hotel look nice outside, but inside the curtain look like never was cleaned before.
Island hopping
My fiance & I decided to spend 2 days of our 10 day Jamaica trip in Negril. The gentleman that checked us in was very hospitable. Our room was nice. However the resort didn't offer any activities or an attractive food menu. It served our purpose as far as a place to sleep.
My stay at Foote Prints on teh Sands.
There was no hot water and the internet connection did not work in the room. It would be a wonderful place to stay as it is located in the center of the beach if it had some updating done to make it look better. There were no electric outlets in the bathroom and very few in the room so I had to unplug the television to use my hair dryer. The jacuzzi was not clean and the water was not conditioned. The staff were excellent.
Hotel on the beach
Nice room with a jacuzzi which I didn't expect, kitchette and room large
Ok room
We were there got 4 nights the rooms were tidy enough but our toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. The food made me very sick. It is close to the beach and I got an excellent massage right there on the beach. Very close to everything.
Good hotel for overnight stay
The location of this hotel on Hotels.com map is absolutely misleading. We had a reservation at the better hotel at the lower rate, but location was very important to us because we had an event to attend, and based on Hotels.com map Foote Prints was next door. We had to take a cab 4 times to go to our event, we would never change our original booking if we knew the correct location of this hotel.
Myself and other family members booked several rooms at this facility for almost a week and we had a blast. The staff was amazingly friendly, helpful, and entertaining as well. The rooms were not the most modern but had cable, A/C, warm showers, and some even get wifi (closer to the lobby the better). They also have a little open restaurant on the beach with great breakfast and dinner with wonderful service. If you need a place to sleep on seven mile beach (on a budget) this is great place to stay...

Closed for renovations
It is not fair for me to review this visit to Foote Prints. The hotel was closed for renovations and seems to have been for about 2 months, but nobody ever told me. Considering that fact, I was fortunate someone was there and made some calls, determined there was a goof-up and actually made a room ready for us for one night and for that I say, "thank you!"
