I visited this property for Spring Break. Here is the note I sent to customer service describing my experience (with a slight adjustment for privacy). I have emailed twice and got no response and when I made a complaint during my stay no accommodations were made. This is not the service I expect and I would not return. Hi. I am very disappointed that someone at your property didn’t do something to accommodate me or provide any solutions but they recommended that I contact this email. I had 2 rooms for 5 days (room X, and room X). I came with a group of 40 parents. Here are the issues I experienced. 1. I checked in on 5/15 and did not have hot water in my shower for 2 days. Room X 2. The room was smelly- mildew or mold filled and caused allergies in my eyes. Another parent had to move rooms for the same reason and others complained. 3. There was a lizard in my room that someone had to come and capture and it frightened me. 4. Even after all my challenges no one offered any solutions I have stayed at your Mexico property and loved it but this didn’t meet the standard that I expected. Please advise.
I am not sure why people give less than 5 stars. I stayed for 5 days here with my wife that is pregnant and they treated us like royalty! Service is amazing, food is amazing, staff is amazing. I have no complaints about this resort. More than 5 stars if possible and we cannot wait to go back. If you are looking for a relaxing resort this is the one. Very quiet, relaxing but the staff made it fun as well.

As a general warning to visitors of Punta Cana, do not stay at this hotel. Despite having an imperial room and everything organized in advance, the hotel and its staff make it difficult to enjoy what you pay for. Disorganization, dirtiness, lack of respect, poor-quality food, and the rapid deterioration of what seems to be a fairly new facility are just some of the issues with this hotel. The staff is not only rude but also insults English-speaking visitors. Being bilingual and a native Spanish speaker, I could confirm how the staff mocked people for their appearance. On top of that, they ignored requests or complained because someone didn’t finish their beer the day before or because someone wanted a diet drink. As for the food, I don’t recommend eating anything raw, especially the sushi, which comes pre-made from another location—meaning the cold chain for raw fish isn’t respected, something the hotel staff themselves admit. There were many other things that seemed at least suspicious. The beach was dirty, with little staff to attend to it, and, again, very dirty. My room not only had issues with the air conditioning and drainage but also with the phones and, of course, the cleaning service. It’s a shame. In short, it’s a pity that an expensive vacation, one that generates so much excitement for family and friends, ends up being overshadowed by a poorly managed hotel and its utterly uncommitted employees. book thru their website. You will have free shuttle. The service speed is very slow, even in finest club. Room is good. But restaurants are bad. The kids club is messy and cold.
Lets always start with the good. I only have 2 "suggestions". First, this property is meticulously kept. The upkeep is constant. They never let anything get away from them it seemed. The smallest details were always addressed. The grounds also are beautifully kept and any seaweed was addressed early in the morning each and every day. I opted for the excellence club which in my opinion was worth it due to access to private restaurants, club and upgraded mini bar and room amenities. There is a family side called Finest and the adults side is Excellence. You also get private beach access with food and drink service and yes, is all included. The room was excellent. I had a private pool room. Had a nice deck to lay out on, and indoor jacuzzi. The room is very nicely sized and the bathroom had more than enough room. The bed was outstanding and they have both daily maid service, but evening turndown service as well. Mini bar service was also daily, if you want or need something in particular, just ask your mini bar person, they will absolutely provide what you need as best they can. Staff was excellent with one exception I will mention shortly. Wilson at the pool bar was great and Rony in the club. My two drawbacks was food in the buffet was always lukwarm to cold and I wanted to extend my stay by a week and I talked to two different staff members in the excellence club. The promised to get back to me to make that happen but sadly never did. Thats why I need to hold back one star
Geared toward families with very young kids/babies. Lovely modern hotel, rooms, poos, restaurants. The food wasn't good, no entertainment for anyone above age 8. The beach was lovely, very wavy so great for body surfacing, too wavy for waterspouts. No teen activities whatsoever. Tennis Pro was great!
The resort is new (2021) and everything felt in excellent condition. Beach front area is very wide for the size of the resort, it never felt crowded. Service level felt higher than in other 5* Punta Cana resorts we travelled to. Food was consistently good and in great diversity, whether the buffet or the a la cart restaurants. Excellent facilities for kids of various ages (such as 3 pool areas for various age groups, in addition to the kids club), though a little limited for teens. The resort was close to capacity, yet the pool and beach areas never felt full/crowded, especially on the Excellence side of the resort. Weddings and events (e.g., graduation celebration) held almost every day during our stays, so expect larger groups and gatherings. I expect the resort was designed with generous sqft per guest, giving the sensation of quiet luxury. Evening events were a little boring, but also poorly attended (families with younger kids seemed retired for the evening). ~45min from the airport, further than the resorts on the Bavaro beach area.

Excellent! Highly recommended. Staff was amazing. Marcelo was great. There was definitely some misunderstanding on the price for extending the stay. I'll have to chalk that one up as my fault for not confirming. Always have it written down as language barriers can create a $400 difference. With that said, I still stayed an extra day and paid for a 1 way ticket back. That tells you it was worth it.
The staff we encountered were friendly especially the ladies at the coffee/sweets bar. The private pool room on the adults only side was clean and spacious, but they need to soundproof the room service closet. We could hear everything that happened in the hallway. The food in most restaurants was bland. The highlights were the fresh pizza at the food truck and our dinner at the Japanese restaurant. During check in, we were asked if we were celebrating something special. We were celebrating our anniversary. Based on our experiences at other all-inclusives, we expected an “anniversary” sash on our door, especially considering the person who checked us in asked for the date of our anniversary and we saw sashes on other doors. That annoyed me because why ask if you’re not going to do anything special?
Overall, the property is in great condition. Our room had a little wear and tear but that can be expected from a beach property. The staff is so kind-hearted and very accommodating. Beautiful personalities. This was our first trip and we will be back!

The transportation is bad, the drivers never on time, we bought the option plus ticket, when we came back from punta cana, we were on the first line ,the air transit staff ask us to wait until I ask him that we have the same tickets why they hold us then he lets us goin. The hotel is very nice, the private check in is very friendly.
The resort is beautiful, new, clean, and well staffed. The beach is beautiful, plenty of places to eat, drink, swim, etc. The amenities for the kids are great - the club and the in-restaurant play rooms are amazing, but don't feel that secure. The staff is very friendly but not as warm as some other resorts until you tip them or speak some Spanish with them. The negatives: food is ok. Typical all-inclusive quality but nothing more. Service is very slow and inconsistent, even if it is friendly. The front desk is not great; they are OBSESSED with getting 5 star reviews. Like you can't confirm check-out time without them hounding you for 25-40 minutes on what you're going to rate them. It's beyond annoying, unprofessional, and feels like extortion. The 'club' upgrade is pushed hard but definitely doesn't seem worth it.
This place is run like clockwork, and a great time is guaranteed here. The staff will make everything in their control for you to have an amazing vacation

The resort was amazing! Buildings were contemporary and it looks like the resort is pretty new. Everything was nice and the staff was very friendly! We enjoyed the kids club at the restaurants. The VIP benefit from Expedia was nothing special. They said they plus have a bottle of wine for us but they did not have it in our room. Also, it said that they would provide complimentary room upgrade but they did not offer that. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at the Finest resort.
I love the toddler friendly atmosphere. The food was amazing and drinks. The only thing when I arrived I wish they told me more about what the resort has to offer. Also I’m calling to tell them I left my ring camera and no respond. I plan to be back in May hope they respond and have it safe

Beautiful modern Hotel with all the outlets you need (restaurants, sports, bars, spa, kids club, activities, entertainment). All the restaurants were beautiful and creative. The food was good, ample choice, creative and plenty! Even though the food was very good it lacked the final touch. But this is what was expected being an island.
Decent place should not be a vip property. Not only did I not receive any benefits at check out the staff tried to charge me more money telling me my son was 14 yrs old and should pay as an adult even though I paid through Expedia. I fought it and they conceded but front desk staff was terrible. I’m Dominican and go to DR a lot , not a place I would go to again. They will try to nickel and dime you for everything. Expedia should take them off vip
We loved this resort. It was some of the best food we have ever had at an all inclusive. The staff was friendly but sometimes it was hard to get on their list to get drinks.
We were really impressed by Finest Punta Cana from the moment we stepped onto the property. As much as the resort is physically impressive and immaculately clean it's actually the staff that impressed me the most. Maybe that's the magic of Finest but somehow they've managed to gather kind, intelligent, and hard working employees that seem to all do a little extra to ensure your stay is enjoyable. So I want to start the review by thanking the staff of Finest Punta Cana. Thank you all for taking care of my family and ensuring that my attention could be on enjoying my vacation and not managing it. Thank you Domingo for helping me to celebrate my wife's birthday. Thank you to Randy for starting all of our days with a smile and a friendly seat for breakfast. Thank you for ensuring my family can find a seat on the beach. We had a swim up pool which was amazing, I would definitely recommend to others. The pools across the resort were great. We really loved playing on the big bubble. The beaches were clean and quiet and not over crowded. Drink service was great. I've been to resorts where the drinks were weak, not this one. We got taken care of. My son and I really enjoyed the evening theatrics, balloons, and musicians. The restaurants are very good and a few of them exceeded my expectations. Surf and Turf - the Dominican Sancocho - the crispy taco appetizer, the steak. Wow! With great service at all of them, of course. The dinner shows were fun too. Thanks Finest!
Best spa get away
The beach was wonderful and well maintained. The pool areas were clean and the wait staff was very good. The resort was only a few years old, however, we had several electronic issues with our room. Our lights came back on during the night even though we shut them off several times. Maintenance had to reset the computer in our room and it resolved the problem. Continually throughout our stay, our room keys did not work---which was a huge inconvenience. Numerous times they were reset at the front desk, and then finally, the motor in our door needed to be replaced. We spent a lot of time waiting for the repair and it was very frustrating. We weren't the only one who experienced this same problem. No comp was offered. We had a roof top pool which was never cleaned during our stay and acquired bird poo and bugs. Ick! Overall, it's a clean wonderful resort for families. The kids had a great time on the bouncy fountain! We did not travel with children so the whiny, tired kiddos in the afternoon were annoying. We ate at the adults only restaurants, which was a great option but there were long waits. The food was good quality and the servers were excellent! But next time I will choose an Adults Only resort. Shout out to: Jimmy and Franklin, the bell boys/luggage, Yvon at the beach club who was very helpful and called maintenance for us in Spanish, Sandy at the beach, and Cassandra, who has the biggest smile ever. Customer Service at the front desk needs better listeners.

Great stay
By far this has been the worst vacation stay in all my life. The staff was using my room and when I complained with the management on the hotel, they ignore me and brush me off. My family and I headed to have breakfast and then to the pool. I started to have stomach aid and headed to the room When I arrived at my room, I saw that housekeeping was cleaning my room, so I headed to the room next door (the one I was not able to cancel) to use the bathroom because I had an emergency. Upon opening the room, I saw that there were cookies crumbs on the floor, the console door where the refrigerator was hidden was open, the garbage was full of beers, water, Oreos wraps, a yogurt bottle, one of the alcohol bottle was gone, the bed was undone, the toilet paper wrap was off (meaning someone was using the room) and a towel was used and place next to the sink. All shampoo, soap bars, were also gone from the room. I went to the lobby and spoke to someone about the situation, and they told me they were going to investigate and get back to me. Two days went by and no one gave me any update they simply brush me off and waited for the last day to simply hand me the email address in order for me to file a complaint. They were really not professional and mishandle this situation. They make it seem like I wanted my money back, this is not a matter of money. Obviously, if I was able to pay $9,000 I am able of pay for this resort. This was not a matter of money, it was a matter of security.
This is a great all inclusive resort. Love the adults only side of the resort. Really quiet, beautifully landscaped exteriors. Well maintained. The pool was great, love the swim up bar. Really close to the beach. Everyone was very attentive. Great service. Love the room service, which was also included. Perfect resort for couples!
The staff are super-attentive and really kind and friendly. Their attention to our child's allergies was phenomenal and allowed us to really relax. Everything about it, from the comprehensive amenities, the variety of food (which, while not amazing, is consistently very good and fresh), and, again, the superb staff, makes it very easy to just chill out and de-stress
The staff at the Finest Punta Cana resort are wonderful. They are all very friendly and helpful. Francis at the main bar is the best. Very friendly and fun. The resort is very clean and very well kept. The grounds crew should be commended for the excellent job in maintaining the property. This is definitely one of the better places we have ever stayed.

Our check-in time took 30 minutes. We were told to sit and wait, while the line for the reception desk kept growing. I was only helped after reminding staff I was waiting. The lack of a dinner reservation system is a problem at this resort. There were long wait times (up to 30 minutes) and once seated, it took up to 2 hours to get your main course. Beach, rooms, and pool are all excellent. Food quality is great, but portions are very small.
Beautiful resort and excellent for young kids. Wasn’t overly pleased with staff communication and attending to requests for room services.

Not too happy but not too bothered. Its just an between place with mediocre facilities. Staff are absolutely wonderful 10/10. The food 2 out of 10. Rooms 3-4 out of 10. Bars 6-7/10. The rest not worth mentioning.
This was a wonderful trip for us, who haven't done an all inclusive in nearly 30 years ! We were thrilled with the higher tech rooms, the food was superb (shoutout to Robinson in the Market Kitchen making omelettes and to Winston at the Sunset Bar). Dukes and Brass are amazing restaurants. The grounds area are lovely, so much to do for children of all ages, and an adult area, and the pools are very well maintained. The only problem we had was organizing transportation to and from the hotel with Season's Tours. Since we booked with Expedia, and not directly with the resort, we had to organize transportation ourselves. After 3 emails, and no response with Season's, we arrived in Punta Cana with no car ready for us. We weren't even on their list. Luckily I had screen shot the email and showed it to them and they honoured the price of Option 2 for us, but we got a beat up van to transport us to the resort. The hotel helped us get back, but charged us the high rate to return. So not really pleased there.
The property is absolutely beautiful clean and very modern however was not a fan of the food, drinks were great though. Be ware of the excursion they offer at the hotel as I feel they are way overpriced we did two and ended up spending an extra $800. Totally regretted it. On top of that I was missing my Versace sunglasses which were either stolen at the excursion to saona island which I recommend you do not take anything valuable and do not leave your things unattended if you go or lost upon arrival at the hotel. Next day(day of checkout) I called lost and found and was told they take pictures of lost items and there were many items that fit the description to stop by concierge to see them when I did I was told that they looked for the sunglasses and they didn’t find them and refused to show me the pictures, I asked again to see them and his response was there are only kid’s sunglasses. These sunglasses were of great sentimental value and I would have been more at ease if the hotel at least tried and shown me the pictures. Basically we are down $5k glasses included on a 5night trip that we couldn’t even enjoy, to top everything of my boyfriend and I were sick to our stomach from the food most of the stay! Overall other than the aesthetic of the hotel and the friendliness of most of the staff I was not satisfied with my experience and will definitely not be returning to this hotel nor will I recommend to family and friends.
We had a great time, even for being a family resort they had an adults only section which was great and made for a nice experience away from the family side. The staff is amazing and always helpful. The food is also great at all the restaurants and buffet. 100/10 would go back.

The hotel itself was ok. Customer service was probably the worst we have ever received and we travel 4-6 times a year. Upon arrival , we were told we had to pay additional 1700.00$ for our stay per the hotel’s policy ) they treat kids 12 and up as adults ). When we told them we booked the hotel through Expedia and we put in the kids ages and paid the price like we always have. The staff assured us our card wouldn’t be charged until we speak to someone at Expedia and if Expedia says per their policy that’s fine, they would be ok. Well, the second we left the counter , they charged us 1700.00 ( 30 percent of the entire cost ). They kept us an hour at the counter going back and forth after a long flight just to charge us anyway. Not to mention they never offered any of the VIP perks. The day before the departure my husband went to talk to them about an extended check out time ( till 2 pm). He had to sign a document confirming the request and he got a new key that would work past the regular check out time. The day of the departure i went to the room after noon to start packing while everyone was still at the beach. The key didn’t work. I walked all the way to the lobby. The staff told me they had no notice of the request and no one has spoken to anyone. I had to call My husband to come over. He came and it turned out the woman who spoke to him the day before was there the whole time , yet she acted like she didn’t remember anything. It was only when my husband , agitated, to

We stayed here from 2/6-2-10 and I must say you need at least 7 days to enjoy all that they offer but our stay was amazing.. My next stay I’ll being our children If your looking for adults only this is still an amazing place it’s completely separate.. So you’ll still have your adult fun .. The restaurants do allow children but most that we actually ate at were only adults
We truly enjoyed our stay at Finest Punta Cana! The resort is really wonderful, but what made our stay great were the staff at the resort. They clearly understand and practice high quality service. Our stay was not without problems, but every one was dealt with quickly with attention to what would make us happy. EVERY Staff member we dealt with from the Managing Concierge to the Bellmen to the Bartenders to the Room Attendants to the Beach Cabana Attendants to the Maintenance Staff were friendly, helpful, courteous, and seemed to genuinely care about us as people. This was our second stay at an Excellence property and it more than equalled our impression from our first visit. We will come back to this resort again in the future and Excellence properties are now our top choice for our All Inclusive Beach destination vacations. One note to include: When booking a room at Finest Punta Cana through Expedia, note that the resort has both Adults Only and Family sections and make sure your room is in the area you wish to be in. We found the distinction not to be overly clear on Expedia for some reason and ended up in a room on the Family side. Thankfully, the resort quickly addressed the issue to our satisfaction.

A quiet,safe,gratifying experience. Clean beach, activities keep you occupied if being active is important(well equipped gym) or if just wanna be lazy, lots of beach chair and pool available for kids as well as adults. I sure enjoyed.
I think the property was soooo beautiful; my boyfriend and I went and it was really romantic. I/ just that the food in the buffet wasn’t hot and some of the room service food was also cold. However, I was sooo impressed with my suite at the Excellence Club!!!!! Also, the bartender Ronny at the Excellence Club Bar; ask for him.
This was a get away for my wife and I without the kids. I really enjoyed the excellence club and the adult only side. The private pool for the excellence club that was adults only was very relaxing with a swim up bar. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All the restaurants and the buffet were above my expectations. We opted for the room with our own pool. I believe it was a Jr. Suite with Excellence club upgrade. It was nice having our own pool and our own jacuzzi/jetted tub. We will be going again!
Food was the worst that I have had on vacation. Service was terrible. Staff was not helpful or friendly; they would call several times a day to the room and woke me up day and night. Would not go back. Spa also didn’t have many services.

Finest Club Oceanfront Suit with Pool
Our stay was fantastic- we loved every minute of it. The property is amazing- beautifully designed, meticulously maintained. Our room was unbelievable! We had the oceanfront suit with private pool. The staff is great! They are very welcoming, very friendly, great with the kids, and overall treat you like royalty. The food was really good, and plentiful, but not amazing. This is my first all inclusive, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I hear that’s typical. The Japanese restaurant was the best by far, and the steak house was good too. My favorite lunch was the grouper and the mahi from Dukes- you cannot beat the view as you are practically sitting on the sand. The rest are decent. Please understand, this is not a complaint by any means, plenty of great food and drinks- just something to point out if you are looking for five star fine dining. The gym was great. The pools are amazing. Everything is just steps from the sand. The entertainment was super fun. Overall we will definitely come back here and will recommend to anyone we know.

I found it really interesting how they divided the adult section where it was quiet and tranquil and they had a family section that you can vacation with your small children and they would be entertained all day and evening. Loved this resort for my solo birthday trip. The staff are Amazing! The food was great. This was my first resort trip but I think it is one the best just based of the friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and room service is quick as well as house keeping services. The beach was clean and not too may people trying to sell you things. The only thing that was unfortunate was the fact that the hot tubs did not get warm at all! The pool water was warmer than the hot tub lol. It was pretty windy in the evenings so that would have been a nice feature but all else was well !! I plan on coming back ! Overall the hotel met or exceeded expectations for an all inclusive resort. Pool, bar, service all were very good. Beach was better than most in DR. Food overall was very good with the occasional dish that was poor. Restaurant service was great; if you don’t see exactly what you want, they will get it for you. Will come back and will recommend.
Very clean property from the rooms to the grounds around it everything was very well kept. The staff was the best we have seen at any of our other stays, excellent service everywhere we went. I’d definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the island.. Very Very good !!!!

The property was beautiful and kept up well. However, floors in the room and bathroom (including shower) were slippery. Getting in and out of the jacuzzi in the room was slippery & felt unsafe. The food was poor to mediocre, & the gluten-free option was not gluten free. Was served wrong entree in another restaurant, a steak that was tough and inedible. Another meal, where I specifically said no octopus, had octopus. Was served barely cooked inedible lamb chop that I’d asked for well done. Going to the (fake) restaurants was disappointing and stressful. Loved the pools and the beach was lovely, but will not return because of the constant frustration and quality of the food. Also got a massage on the beach by a woman who was doing it hard, and though I asked her several times to do it more softly, she continued to do it so hard, my lower leg was sore and red the next day and I had to see the doctor and get medication, totalling $240.

Excellent, likely one of the top 3 resorts in Punta Cana. You must have Finest club, even with family, and must chose a swim up or private pool options. These are the best to enjoy ! The Finest club is top. Entertainment team (July, Soleda etc) are super nice and do great job. Some shows are really top (Magic, Jackson). Food market buffet is really great (especially the 2 pasta cook guys, and the burger Wilkin cook). We loved the buffet. Specialty restaurants are OK (Brass is likely the best; Melting pot is so-so; Duke's is Ok, but has the great beach patio! we did not try the other). Tennis, paddle, billard are super great (Roni is nice). So many pools to enjoy, and bars, so many chairs, so many towels, so many nice bartenders and star cocktail makers like Ronicet (with a black arm band). Yes, expect a few glitches but minor: no archery if younger than 12 y-o because they do not have kid size, access to fitness room is guarded by a very unfriendly "trainer" (one tall one looks nice, but the smaller one is a bully bad mannered, no other 5-star hotel in the world has prevented me to enter and do some eliptic together with my 8 y-o son); the rare bad apples at the lobby or even at the club (1 staff only in my experience, all others are fine! if he says no... don't accept, insist and then ask for someone else or the manager!! all other staff want to help and can! if you deal with one who says no, do not accept this lazy answer! everything is possible in this amazing resort!).
Everything is great except it is really difficult to find availability at the restaurants for dinner, you have to wait min 45 min to be seated
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience with this resort. I’ve stayed at many resorts in the past (this being the first review) and since this is my first time visiting the DR, I turned to reviews to make a decision on the stay. After reading countless reviews, this resort stood out with the best feedback—and it did not disappoint. This was my mother’s and my first time visiting the Dominican Republic, and our stay at the Excellence Hotel exceeded all expectations. The food at the buffet was okay, the restaurants had better selections. The resort offers 13 incredible restaurants to choose from, but what truly made our visit exceptional was the staff. A special shoutout to Junior, Jeremi, and Aracelis, who were not only fun but also went above and beyond to ensure everyone was engaged and having a great time. Those three definitely made everyone’s stay a little bit more fun and exciting. The rooms and the entire resort were impeccably clean, which is very important to both my mother and me. Whether you're traveling as a family (they offer so much for kids!) or looking for a more peaceful escape on the adults-only side, this resort caters to everyone. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an exceptional vacation.

The service was terrible. We do NOT recommend you to stay in this hotel. The staff was not nice and we had major inconvinence at every restaurant. The only staff member that made our experience pleasant was Kelvin at the Italian restaurant. Other than that, the staff seemed like they did not wanted to be there and unhappy. Also, we paid for a room upgrade for the lower floor with a private pool but never where able to use it because it NEVER had sun exposure since it was looking to the back. Totally not worth paying the extra fee for the upgrade. The food was 5/10, the service 2/10.
