Needs many update and improvements

Inadequate signage- Fridge door opens wrong side

Signage for entrance was very difficult to find in daylight, and at night, it was only lit from one visible side, If you were coming up the road from the northern direction and needed to turn right, the Sign was easy to miss. It was partway up the hill. There was nothing close to the actual term or to warn that the turn was coming up. We spent an hour trying to help one member of our party to find the way, I finally drove down and waited next to the freeway so that I could have him follow me the last bit.

Clean and quiet with very friendly staff

What I like is that it was in an area where is close to restaurants, staff very friendly parking close to the entrance. They need to repair certain things on furniture and restrooms.

Staff was so nice, but…… unconvenient for staying.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Its supposed to be a non smoking hotel but the first and second floors, even the lobby, smell like cigarettes and weed. Our room got double booked and I didn't even receive a phone call. We had a double room booked and ended up with two single rooms and we have small children. The rooms are absolutely disgusting. Everything is falling apart and needs to be cleaned or redone. To make it even better the showers only have boiling hot water. No cold water. The front office lady was nice and helpful though.

Was good but found a lot of bugs in the restroom... the staff was nice and changed our room hassel free

This hotel was beyond filthy. The carpets in the hallways look like they've never been cleaned, the rooms have roaches. This was by far the worst experience I've had. Not only that when we spoke to the manager she did not attempt to assist us in any was instead she checked us out stating that they were over booked. A video of the roaches is being sent to the corporate office. All is good as long as you are willing to sleep , eat and bath with roaches. my score is -10.

The lady at front desk seems very unfriendly and annoyed of her job. Waited 20 min to check in at night stood there for a check in. I can hear everyone comes and goes in hall way trying to sleep.

Noises at night.

It was too much noise during the night so I couldn’t sleep. Couple of doors were broken and had to pay for WiFi for a FaceTime call.

Good

The elevator and the 3rd floor hallway smelled like weed. The room smelled like mildew and we had to get air fresheners. The bathroom door handle was broken.

Amazing staff!

Stayed in room 120, two big square patches cut out of carpet, room smelled, a long crease from one end of the room to the other. I slept on top of the blankets. I challenge you to show up unannounced and ask for room 120.

At first glance its nice but we woke up to a roach in the shower in the morning.

Absolutely Horrible

Our experience was HORRIFIC!! We were staying there for my granddaughter's Baptism. The hotel stunk so bad the hallway smelled like skunk, the recliner in the room apparently had been scratched up from a cat and the leather chair in the room had no leather on it...it stunk so bad we had to find somewhere else to stay(on memorial day) which means 90% were full and it was my wife, my daughter, and my 1 yr old grandson...after driving 6 hours...if you are ok with nasty this is your place to stay

It's was awesome! However...

Overall the location is a very nice place to lay your head for the night. The rooms looked and more importantly, smelled clean. We were comfortable and the view from the hill was really nice. However, when we checked out the next morning, we found that our truck had it's tail lights stolen and there are no cameras facing the parking lot. So would I recommend the place to stay? Sure, as long as you're driving a rental and you paid for the optional insurance.

Room 430 needs TLC

Unsatisfied, room 430 needs a lot of TLC Room smelled like a lot of moisture and carpet wet by AC, Had to leave window open to release some of the smell due to no other rooms available to accommodate room with 2 beds, wall above AC unit was damaged by moisture. Shower, the water will not drain fast and the toilet rocked last thing saw a roach on the counter. When checking out I tried to report issues , however no receptionist.

We checked in late past 11pm, after our trip we were tired, got into the room and went to sleep. One small cockroach walked on me during the night, next morning we saw a few cockroaches walking on the wall. My husband went to the Front Desk and we received a full refund. Anyway this experience was terrible. Property condition, staff and service is average.

Imagine leaving some of your trash outside the door to be picked up, then getting admonished by a staff member. "You can't leave that out here!!" OK, I'll just let it pile up in the room. Sheeesh....

Hotel staff locked me out of my room on 3rd night because they said I had an issue with payment. They never asked for a credit card but I would have gladly given one to them when I checked in. Very unprofessional. Instead of calling me to clear up the payment issue, they locked me out until I had to come see them at front desk.

5th year staying here for Valero Texas Open. Staff was excellent. Property is a little run down but just need to sleep & eat. Love the big refrigerator!

Do not stay!

The room was in terrible condition, the kitchenettes drawers are all broken, cockroache problem as well. Didn’t sleep do to think if a cockroach would be on top of me.

Everything was good and awesome but no hot water to shower the next morning

The lobby is the cleanest part of the building. Roach problems, no kitchen utensils until well into the trip. Because of the area being nice I felt safe to book, but didn’t expect a dirty stay. Won’t be staying again. When I brought the cockroaches to their attention, I was given bug spray - which while nice, I would’ve rathered a refund.

Stay away from this hotel. Looks nice on the outside in a nice area of San Antonio but beware. Our room had roaches. In the shower, bathroom fixtures, crawling on the microwave, and the walls.

Window entirely opens with zero screen or protection to keep a child from falling out of hotel. The room stinks. There are no shades. The bathtub doesn’t have a stopper to use tub for children. The phone doesn’t work. And the elevator can be heard opening and closing all night. Horrible hotel. Really. Horribly hotel experience. Worst ever for me.

Okay but not perfect.

Friendly staff. Iron and ironing board were useful. Few amenities. Table legs need tightened. No dish cloth to clean up spills. Was there 10 days - no one picked up trash.

Smells

The stairwell smelled of dog urine. The room had a funky smell also. The bathroom wasn’t clean.

Phone did not work, no smoke detector, called ahead for a bed for a toddler when checking in clerk said there was none. She stated she would look, she never delivered one nor did she come to the room(since the phone didn't work) to let me know she found one. When I checked out, the pack & Play was in a box behind the counter and a staff member said she brought the bed to the night clerk but was not told to deliver it to my room. Spent a sleepless night to prevent baby from falling off the bed. Breakfast is not acceptable.

Great stay

First room i was in had roaches second room moved too broken furniture. Staff was supper nice. Pool in operable broke so dont trust website when they say pool.

The room smell was horrid. Had to sleep with window open and still couldn’t get rid of it. Absolutely horrible. Web site claims breakfast, but it is a lie. Front person tried to minimize the issue by saying ’limited’ breakfast, but there was only coffee available. Would never ever stay here again, or recommend it to anyone… Horrid smell….

Just one room left with broken doorknob…We refused stay in a room like that and canceled right away …I still don’t have my money back

The place looks nice on the outside but the rooms smelled like smoke and just weren’t clean. My top sheet had a stain and then the blanket had a cigarette bud while in it. There was a moldy smell and found a baby roach in the bathroom. To top it off they didn’t even have my rescheduled booking and I had to pay again bc they had no record of my stay. Awful

The front office was clean but to start with this experience the elevator was not working and they gave me a room in the 3rd floor plus all the hotel had a horrible smell i dont know if it was the carpet or smoking smell but it was terrible

Dirty horrible conditions

I appreciated the ability to prepare meals in my room.

A very good hotel. Was comfortable and clean, Full size refrigerator. Glass top burners. Large microwave and actually a large dishwasher. Staff was very nice. Breakfast selection very limited. I would stay here again.

I will not book another stay here. Upon arrival, we had no shower curtain. I called the front desk and was informed that housekeeping would be notified. I waited for several hours, and no housekeeping. I had to get the shower curtain from the front desk and hang it myself. There were four construction workers in the parking lot playing their music so loud it was heard on the fourth floor where my room was located. Notified the front desk of the complaint. Nothing happened. Several hours went by, and the music was just as loud. I notified the front desk again. This time the front desk told me she had gone out, but there were no trucks or construction workers playing loud music. I informed the lady at the front desk; she was not telling the truth. I had been observing these four construction workers from my room window after the first notification was made. After the second notification, I watched the front desk person go outside, and at that time, the noise was lowered. I was not happy that the front desk person had not gone outside after the first notification. Another complaint. When I initially booked my stay, I was informed the hot tube and pool were operational. Upon my arrival, the front desk told me the hot tub and the pool had been non-operational for several months. Another lie was made.

Almost Memorial Day and the POOL and Hot Tub are down, and no one seems to be working on them. Coffee and packs of instant Oatmeal are hardly worthy of being called "Grab and Go Breakfast". Poor internet connection. Kept getting dropped. Probably not an issue for travelling Construction crews, but unacceptable for Business travelers.

I got bitten by bed bug!

Very out dated and smelly. Room was not as clean as other hotels. They have roaches too. I’m glad it was one night, just to sleep and go! I will never stay at this hotel again.

It smelled and was in worse shape than I expected. Stairwell and side exit grubby. Room smelled bad. The carpet should be clean and it was not. I'd get in the shower and all sorts of hair and dirt came off my feet. Grounds were not taken care of - quite a mess.

No basket bin for trash in the bathroom or the room, we asked the receptionist & service people; resulting using plastic bags. Breakfast, coffee, tea and muffin. Good location.

All around unhappy with my 6 day stay. Employees at front desk if there ever was one seemed annoyed to even be there. Never a smile or a good morning. Oh and the one elevator they did have… sucked. JS..

Not bad.

The basics are all here: It was clean,safe, convenient, quiet, hot water, cold ac, good tv, good bed, good linens. However, my room #431 needed a couple of repairs…. The bedside light didn’t work properly. the only way to turn on the light was to screw in the light bulb and vice versa. The shower curtain was falling off the wall and the bathroom vanity light needed an additional bulb. Lastly, there were not enough plates silverware, etc. When I went to use the coffee maker, there was a bug in the water chamber. Ick!!

Overprice for condition of the property

Nightmare! Do Not Recommend!!

The worst experience I ever had. Upon arrival, was told the pool was out of service, the gym was incomplete, and that barbecuing was not allowed ( on the site it showed a terrace where it said bbqing was allowed). When I entered my room and after I unpacked got settled in the bed smelled horrible, there were no pots or pans, no coffee maker, and when I went to take a shower, the shower was not working! Was moved into another room and the AC was not working!! This place need to be shut down ASAP.

Cheap furnishings

There was tattoo ink spilled on the bed ruffle. The sheets always smell like human sweat. The toilet didn't work.. it takes 15 minutes to get water to warm so prepare for that.

It was good for the price I guess. The floors felt very dirty and the carpet was sticky feeling and there were cockroaches in the restroom when we got there. The lady at the front desk was very nice even though she was sick.

We stayed at this property for two weeks and had no issues. We ended up needing to stay one more night but when I booked it I booked it for the wrong night. The General Manager was very nice and helpful and allowed us to change our booking without any fees as it was not refundable. We were very pleased with this hotel and would definitely recommend it!

Worst experience

Room was dirty. Stains in the carpet. Door handle in the bathroom was broken. Water leaking in the ceiling corner with water stain. On top of all that, our room key didn’t work. All the hotel staff was gone NOBODY that works in the hotel was in the building. A fellow guest had to figure it out how to reprogram our room key at 2 am. I’ve never seeing anything like this before. Totally unacceptable

Overall the services and accommodation were very good. My bedroom was nice. The AC/heater makes some noice. If you are staying a weekend is a decent place to be for the price paid. Convenient to be around H‑E‑B and other restaurants.

Nice day at extended Stay

The hotel stay was nice and peaceful staff was nice I had my dog and the facility was very good with my dog being here and other dogs being here it was spacious enough that none of the dogs that I seen ever had of fight or a problem for that I was enjoying my stay well

The outside of the hotel was the nicest part of this place. Upon entering the hotel lobby smelled like weed. The front desk receptionist informed us that there was a mix up with our reservation and our room wouldn’t be ready for an additional hour. After checking in, our room had roaches on the kitchen counter, the tub faucet wouldn’t turn off and leaked all night, the bathroom tub was also rusted from this issue, sticky residue on the floor, and a huge bulge in the walls (not sure if it was water damage or a poor paint job). Very disappointed with my stay.

THE ONLY BEAUTIFUL THING ABOUT THE HOTEL ARE THE PHOTOS SHOWN ON EXPEDIA... BUT IT IS A TOTAL DECEIT. BECAUTE THE HOTEL IS DIRTY, THE STAFF HAVE NO ETHICS AT ALL (NOR DO THEY KNOW WHAT ETHICS IS) THE FIRST ROOM THEY GAVE ME HAD RAT FACES, THE SECOND ROOM THEY GAVE ME HAD A SCANDALOUS NOISE FROM THE REFRIGERATOR, I LEFT BEFORE TIME TO EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD NOT BE REFUNDABLE

Beware

This spot is LIT... For thieves. Ive been here a little over a week and a coworkers truck was broken into. A few days later they stole my brother's truck along with another persons truck thats also staying at this hotel IN ONE NIGHT. That aside, the hotel is way over priced for what you get. This at best is worth $55 a night and even then i wouldnt come here agin risking my vehicle getting broken into or stolen

It was a great stay!

Pool and hot tub were dry. No dvd as advertised. No coffee....

Almost all of the furniture in the room was worn and damaged. There was a bug in the room. Nothing seemed clean. We would have left if it wasn’t our only option.

The "extended stay" kitchen had zero dishes, pans, utensils. No TV remote. Not a single thing in any drawer. Bed sagged. Not recommended.

I would never recommend this property to anyone. We had roaches in our room. We were so grossed out.

It was a quick trip, but I had a late check in, and the lady on the phone was super helpful and made sure we were not marked as no shows and helped us check in easily once we arrived at like 1:30 in the morning. My only note is even though we had a non smoking room, it still smelt of cigarettes, so just something to be mindful of if sensitive to that smell!

The website said they provided breakfast, but there was none. All there was was coffee, and it was cold.

The pillows reeked of someone’s sweat. When I called the desk.. he said he had no more pillows. In the whole hotel!!! He offered to wash mine, I agreed, and waited an hour then called back.. he said i was supposed to bring the pillows to him, as he was the only one there. Then it took an hour and a half for the cleaning..i got to bed around 1 am when I wanted to be asleep by ten. That’s what I thought i paid for. And no working pool and no coffee

No cold water in kitchenette. leaking faucet in shower, no hot water day of departure in shower. Hair dryer did not work. Loud residents, slamming doors until after midnight. neighborhood kids using pool. Overall very poor experience.

The room was nice, but the cleaning staff left a sticky spill on the night stand. Other than that, everything was as expected.

Clean.

I was not inpressed with my stay at the Extended Stay. Anytime you need something you had to pick up a phone and call someone very seldom was someone at the front desk. My keys stopped working twice. The ceiling in our room was falling apart. Looks like there was water damage from upstairs and it was not fixed on the ceiling in our room. Grab and go breakfast was not all that. I understand it is grab and go. However, the only thing they had to drink was coffee. No orange juice, water etc.

NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!

The smell of the room was horrible. Room is outdated, dirty, commode seat would move , restroom sink had hairs, and badly cleaned , kitchenette cabinet were worn and smelly, there was no trash can, no warm breakfast, swimming pool closed . When we got there the housekeeper had to go haunt down the front desk clerk. She was out trying to fix a customer door?!?!? She was friendly though about the only nice thing about it. I have a video but I can’t load it here.

Bad hotel.

Do not stay at this hotel. Rooms smell of stale smoke, desperately need upgrading. No breakfast (clerk couldn't find muffins), no coffee in the afternoon. Clerks were not friendly or helpful. Place is a dump!!

Pack you sense of humor, youly need it!

Stayed overnight, on a Saturday, to visit local attractions. Breakfast consisted of coffee, a pair fruit cup, oatmeal packets. I gave this property a excellent Eco-friendly Rating. That is because no chlorine, or any other chemical was used in the pool. It was dark brown, not usable.

When I got there, even though it's still day time, there was nobody at the front desk without any notice. I was supposed to look for the help to check in. Its was embarrassed.

Pay attention to the customer experience...

Overall, the stay was "OK". The hotel lobby desk staff's customer service was initially not good, but improved after verifying I did have a reservation. When I got to the room, no bath towels, although the room was clean. The shower handle was not secured to the wall and the toilet leaked water on the floor with every flush. Lots of attention to detail items, concerning but expectations should be kept in check with a $99 p/night rate. The bed was comfortable, the pillows soft and clean, and the room overall was worth the rate. After my experience, it's not surprising their score is 7. How to obtain 9 or 10? Pay attention to quality and the customer experience.
