This place was not what I expected. I lived in this area for a long time so I assumed it was very nice.y check in process was less than favorable but I let it go. I dropped my Apple Watch outside & I asked the front desk did anyone turn it in. The front desk agent CINDY OR CYNTHIA told me no one did. I asked her to double check. She opens drawers up front ands says nope o haven’t check out side. I used the find my device only to confirm it was in fact at the front desk. I played the sound alert over and over while she proceeded to lie to me and say she doesn’t hear it. She was very rude and spoke loudly over me to mask the sound. When new guest arrived they also confirmed they could hear the alerts she proceeded to tell them no they didn’t and spoke rudely and loudly over the guest. End of a very long story turns she in fact was attempting to steal my watch. She moved it to the front drawer once she realized I wouldn’t stop ringing it. I have my watch but I would never again stay here. If you can’t trust the front desk God knows what happens inside the rooms. This was a very bad experience. Would not trust the staff!
Safe environment
Cleaned
The room was wonderful and clean to my liking
Cool staff
Second and last time staying at an Extended Stay. It's a budget hotel, I understand that, but there are limits. The Bad: Room smells musty, and the sofa mattress was stained with blood. Room had some water damage on the floors around the very old appliances. The Good: It's a place to sleep, the main bed was clean and it's generally clean otherwise, but it was annoying having the share a bed since that sofa bed was unsanitary. The area is safe and close to a bar, breakfast, and grocery. You have a full size fridge and range, plus the accesible bathroom was nice enough. Overall it's worth staying here, you want die or risk your health but I've been in better budget hotels.
Staff and location were great, however,...kitchen looked dilapidated (waterlog damage drawers,...full kitchen, but no utensils, pots and pans, dishes,...low pressure shower,...no streaming services available on TV, I stayed at lower star hotels/motels that had streaming services,...carpet and kitchen floors felt sticky,...no free breakfast/coffee (advertised on Expedia site),...pool not available (tarp on it),...free parking, a plus
Warning - Do not Stay in this Place! - seriously - it's filthy and disgusting. The mattress that I had to sleep on for the sofa pull-out was disgusting!!! Bodily stains, etc. The filth througout the place was horrible. Then there was a fire the next day. I just left and went to the Marriott Courtyard. Honestly, the place needs to closedown and remodel and then hire staff that is cable of properly cleaning the place.
I hope this message makes it to the CEO/President of Extended Stay. First Problem: We got to our room about 9:30p after a long 3h drive. I had booked two rooms through a 3rd party over a week in advance. At checkin we were informed that the rooms had been oversold. They only had one room left. I asked were they going to help us find other accommodations. The answer was they didn't do that. They told us they had one room left and she was happy to show it to us. It was a room with 1Q bed and a sleeper sofa. We are nearly 60 years old...and do you have any idea how bad it was for us do a sleeping sofa? If the floor wasn't so nasty, it would have been a toss up as far as comfort, floor or sleeper sofa. 4 of us were piled in a room. I have no idea about a refund. At this point, I said well at least they have breakfast. It was advertised on the booking and ON THE COUNTER AT CHECKIN. Then we were informed that y'all don't do breakfast anymore. What kind of place is this? I mean, if you don't do breakfast fine! Don't advertise for it. So because we were so tired from traveling, and because y'all oversold, we assumed that other hotels in the area were probably full too, so we decided to keep that room. I eagerly invite your CEO to go to room 107 in VININGS, GEORGIA. PULL OUT THAT CRAP STAINED, BLOOD STAINED, BACK BREAKING SLEEPER SOFA....and try to sleep on it after a long drive. This was by first the WORST hotel experience ever!
Large comfortable room.
We had more amenities than we needed (kitchen, living room). Comfortable enough stay for one evening. The other guests were quite loud and the side doors blared an alarm every time someone opened it.
My room was very clean! Staff was helpful and courteous.
Horrible conditions. Dog/human urine on steps. Disgusting and unhealthy environment for the guests and employees
Great staff
Elevator didn’t work… had to walk thru the stairs up to 4 floor ! Couldn’t sleep cause people hanging out around the hotel making noise..
Staff is great, property needs updating, continental breakfast advertised but no longer available, pool listed on website but our of service for months.
The toilet was running and noisy. I went to the bathroom...it would not flush
Great!
This hotel was not clean. The sofa bed did not have sheets on ut. When asked to get done I was told I had to wait 30 min. The breakfast room was so small and could not accommodate all the guests:
Our room wasn’t ready at 3 which is check in…we had to wait an hour then when we got our room it wasn’t the room I booked…I booked two queen room we received one bed and a sofa sleeper…no linens in room for said sleeper…since our room wasn’t ready and we had someplace to be I asked if we could use the lobby restroom apparently there is not restroom in lobby…the staff was less then friendly…went to get coffee in the morning coffee pot was empty asked if more could be made was rudely told breakfast was over, would hardly call a few muffins and an empty coffee pot breakfast…will NOT be staying there again. I spoke to several people that were staying there that were all attending the same concert and the consensus was the same…rude staff and not what they booked.
Staff was rude and unhelpful. Booked 3 weeks in advance and check in was at 3 but they had no rooms available until midnight. They better give me my money back
It's worst experience, I havenkt seen like this hotel so far.. furnitures are broken, doors not working, cooler is making so much of noice, stings like pet waste, I never book next time
Great
The rooms were very run down. The hallway carpets were very dirty as well as the room carpet, it felt damp. The staff wasn't the friendliest & the wait at the front desk was unnecessary.
I liked that it was clean and we had plenty of towels. What i didnt like was the pull out bed was horrible. The mattress was thin and hard and you can feel every spring itn the mattress when you laid down on it. The worse 3 nights of sleeping in my life.
We booked 2 rooms but 1 room was not ready at the arrival of 17:30. We were asked to wait til 18:30 but was still not ready and was sent to another room to what we were told to wait for. There were several other group with similar or worse experience at that time. There were nothing like service here. This hotel maybe low expense but I can't recommend to anyone.
Don’t try it!
There seemed to be some type of illegal activity at this hotel- I wouldn’t recommend this place to keep a dog. The window was broken as though someone burglarized it. . The front desk clerk is very rude and unprofessional refused to refund my money on the call with the third party. Aweful and unsafe place to stay. If you must stay here be very careful!
Swimming pool not functional Breakfast only have muffin & coffe Practically no breakfast No ice in hotel Door are chocked
What is that smell?!
Unfortunately this place was not all that we thought it was to be. The aroma that hits your nose immediately walking into the hotel was very strong. Though the staff seemed very nice and respectful, this place wasn’t worth even one night. We stayed on the third floor. Our room seemed clean at first glance. However, when we laid in the bed that night, we notice first that the legs were ver wobbly. We definitely felt like the bed would fall through the night with no extra curricular activities. As we laid there, we noticed the worst smell coming from the mattress. The smell of weed was everywhere! It even came into our room. No judgement of course, my kids were with us though. Needless to say, after that night we got up nice and early the next day and checked out. We could not stay here for another night.
Staff treated us well
Good, not great.
Boris and the lobby staff were very kind and helpful. The room was nice but the pool being closed was disappointing. The lobby told us that there will no longer be a pool was disappointing since that amenity was given in the description. The morning grab and go breakfast was pathetic. It was the first few days of the month and was told they ran out of oatmeal and grits packets. There wasn’t any coffee and the only thing available was 4 muffins. This was at 8:00 am so there should be some restocking going on. If this is the case just don’t offer a breakfast option. All in all is was a nice trip.
My room was perfect and in a quiet part of the hotel. Air conditioning was great and the shower was nice and hot. I also extended another night and it was seamless. I will stay here again.
Excellent service
Staff gave superior service and were attentive the needs of my family especially Maintenance staff! One critique is that one housekeeper need more monitoring when it comes to arranging housekeeping cleaning. There’s also no recycling. The company does need to remodel kitchens and get hardwood floor but carpet is very clean.
Gross. Don’t do it.
Upon checking into the hotel, we were informed that the pool was closed and being turned into a parking lot. I was pretty disappointed being that we booked this hotel for the kitchen amenity and the pool - as we were traveling with kids. As we stepped into the elevator, the smell of urine was so strong it was disgusting. Upon arriving on the 3rd floor - the smell of weed was an immediate contact high. I can only gather that this is a hotel that offers vouchers to vagrants and fails to maintain and upkeep. My room had apricot pits on the floor, assuming that was house keeping who dropped it as they cleared the room. The worst was my sisters room - her mattress smelled like someone rubbed their entire behind ON the mattress. This hotel was not sanitary or accommodating. I am still working with my credit card company for a refund for the nights we canceled.
Na
Check in time was at 3 PM and the room wasn’t ready to 5:15 PM, no silverware in the room. You have to call down to get it. The pool was closed. The hairdryer didn’t work. The room had a funny smell. The breakfast Selection was horrible. Could hear dogs barking throughout the night. The pillows were too thick, but the one good thing about it. The bed was nice had the shower was hot.
Friendly staff
Great Stay
The stay was very good. The room was very clean! It had a full size fridge, stovetop anything that you could need. The bed was very comfortable as well. Overall it was pretty quiet no loud noises except for this morning someone one on my floor was screaming at the top of her lungs because she had to carry up the bags but then I heard a worker trying to reason with her and help out with the situation so it was only for about 4 minutes, but other than that, the stay was amazing and would come again.
The hair dryer in our bathroom was broken, I asked for replacement and was told they don’t have one.
Everything was good.
Quiet
The smell caused my eyes to burn and I developed an immediate migraine. It is a combination between the place just being old, musty and some nasty deodorizers. I left after an hour and found another hotel.
Excellent, helpful staff.
Good all around. Excellent staff.
Great people. Great property. Great ambience. Helpful staff.
Everything was nice and clean and staff was all helpful and friendly
The staff was especially helpful, courteous and hospitable. They made me feel comfortable and welcome. I enjoyed my stay much more because of the staff.
The property was great with the way they conduct business within the hotel.
This property seems to be a sort of shelter or long-term living situation for some. It smelled of marijuana and the front desk staff seemed highly incompetent. I booked for a few days but slept there only one night since I was staying overnight with my mother in ICU. I was able to shower and change my clothes. They did have a small laundry facility which I was convenient. I would not stay here again.
I really liked the area. Staff was friendly.
I love this property
I made this reservation for two rooms so my dad and both my kids could stay here after a braves game. We were told there were no rooms available, so we made the 3 hour drive back home. Now I've been charged for rooms I never stayed in. This is complete bs.
Hotel was overbooked. I was forced to find a room elsewhere at 1am.
Not organized when you need pan, pots, bowl etc for making food.
Love the stay
upon my arrival i was given a room with a leaking bathroom. There were literally water on the floor by the toilet. Initially front desk made it difficult to change the room, but after much instance she made a switch to another room. The next day I was gone all day then briefly return around 10:00PM for a late dinner than came back again close to 1:00AM. I later noticed that my Samsung table that had been charging next to the bed was missing. I told front desk and confirm with him that I didn't ask for room svc. But I was told there is nothing more they can do to help further. The rep promised to have the manager to call me and I still haven't receive a follow up call. I am very disappointment!
Awesome
Never again
If you like the smell of pot then this is your place. The staff was kind but overall the hotel needed updating and the parking lot was nasty too. That is always a sign. if they don't care what outside looks like you know the inside isn't going to be the best. I know it wasn't a five start hotel but even a two star hotel can be well maintained. My main issue was the pot aroma that seeped into the rooms at all hours. It was in the hallways and elevator. Awful
Love Vinings Georgia
This is my 3rd time staying here . I never had aby issues. The room was exactly what the pictures look like. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I will stay here again.
Very polite and helpful staff, rooms clean, view excellent
This property has a nice location. And is clean as well
Very helpful and kind desk staff. Clean rooms. Helped me to book a second night with no issues. Highly recommend this hotel
Great potential for hotel with needed upgrades!
The hotel is an older Extended Stay America which definitely needs updating, especially since it's located in an upscale area of Atlanta known as Vinings. The front desk staff were so friendly and got me checked in pretty quickly. My room was just ok when it came to the cleanliness, but for the area, I was expecting it to be much better. I came prepared to cook, but the stove and oven did not look clean enough to cook on. The next morning I headed down to the lobby to get their "grab n' go" a breakfast and was extremely disappointed to see only packets of instant oatmeal, a few wrapped mini muffins and a small canister of coffee. The breakfast looked like noone tried to put any effort into it as if it was an afterthought. Now...the room, itself, was a comfortable size with plenty of closest and drawer space. The bed was mostly comfortable with the exception of the pillows being way too soft and the bedding to thin. The price was very affordable, but in hindsight, now I understand why it was so much cheaper than the other hotels in the area. So, the PROS were...great staff, great location, easy access off the interstate and nice size room. The CONS were...older hotel needing renovations inside and out, poor quality "grab n' go" breakfast, questionable cleanliness of the entire room, pillows too soft, and bedding too thin. Hopefully the owners of this hotel will reinvest some of their profits into upgrading this hotel from top to bottom.
It took a long time for, I think her name was Christine to get off her cellphone and finally come to the front desk. When she finally greeted me, she was so rude. She was not as friendly as the younger lady who was there the last time I chose this hotel, at all. There was a deposit fee that took days to come back to my account. The elevator didnt work so I had to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor and my microwave didn’t work. Other than that, I'm thankful for having a clean bed for the night.
This property had too many people lurking the parking lot. not sure if they were guests or residents
This property has a $100 deposit plus the cost of the room. that isn't anywhere on the website. When I checked out, they say it'll take 5-7 days to get the deposit back. Not a good experience. The room was great but unknown extras was a bummer.
Sad situation - Not the hotel Chain of the past..
elevator did not work. no cups or drinking glasses, no cooking or eating tools in room. ...no mat for the shower. toilet seat not stable
Poor service
The team at this particular location is always top tier. Anything my family and I need, they are always there to help with a smile. Although the rooms are a little outdated, its always clean. If you are looking for somewhere to stay long term. This location is where to look!
The place was nasty so noisy everywhere looks dirty
I've been here for almost a month and it's been great. Only thing is I can't pay with my card at the front desk. I have to pay through this app.
All of the staff, both managers are very pleasant except for one woman, they make my stay here very comfortable. They make sure that me and my family are taking care of. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a temporary home. You guys rock!!!
Location is awesome
I did not like how online it stated I would get immediate check in after 12am then when I arrived after traveling and being tired I had to pay an early check in on top of the room.
Dark and dingy. Needs updates and many repairs. The paint is brown and tan, and everything smells and feels dirty. The hallway felt warm and musty... gross!
My husband and I came back here after staying many years ago. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Quiet stay for us. No complaints.
Extended Stay America is a good place to stay.
It was a nice stay. The clerk in the front was nice. Overall is pleasant.
This is the first time I stayed in a hotel that didn't have automatic doors, but that might be splitting hairs. The description stated that there was breakfast and a fitness center. The breakfast consisted of small granola bars, instant oatmeal, and tiny muffins. This is not a meal. The fitness center didn't have any weights or resistance machines. When I got to the room, there was no toilet paper. There was a small can with foil covering it with a spoon on top, and large bottles of water half full in the fridge. The staff member working seemed to be overworked and told me that there was a lack of cleaning crew and that the staff had to clean and maintain the hotel. She was polite and very cool. The listing should have explained the lack of breakfast and a gym had only a treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike. The claim of liability for free weights is crap, it's imagined liability since one can claim anything to be a liability. For the price, it was a let down. I would expect to pay half for what I received. Otherwise, the room was clean, other than the items in the fridge. The microwave and tv worked fine, and there was a full size fridge, which was decent.
Front desk was missing for 30 minutes and after booking a room online was told they didn’t have any available so had to upgrade room for more money.
I have to search for the front desk person to be able to check in. Sparking microwave fire potential.very dirty all over. No housekeeping and charges to get trash out of the room. Clogged plumbing. Fire in hotel and being disabled unable to get out and trying to reach front desk for help out during the fire no response to their emergency number. Phone and tv don't work most of the time. No breakfast served as being advertised. The ad for the hotel is opposite to what you get.
Shower didn’t work and the whole place smelled like a crack house , when I tried to get my shower fixed,a different room with a working shower or my money back , I was told that would have to wait til the next day for the manager in which I wouldn’t be there by then so it was not helpful at all. I drive way to far to not have a working shower , I just want my money back
Dirty and terrible staff
This is primarily a resident motel and it looks it. Poor lobby area(and not the one in the picture on Expedia!) and dirty elevator. Room was OK though and we walked to Vinings for dinner.
When we got in our room, it was noticed there were noticeable splashes on the walls that were not wiped down, kitchenette cabinets were sticky to the touch, we were unable to watch T.V. due to no remote batteries and missing battery door to the remote, there was a thick layer of dust on the hair dryer in the bathroom, toilet was not cleaned from a previous stay and the bathroom cabinets were covered with specked old water, toothpaste spots, and dirt spots. There were water spots on the bathroom sink faucet. We were only staying one night and really looking forward to getting rest in a CLEAN room after a really long drive.
Very nice people that work there.
Wanted to see a little more food for breakfast
The staff was so nice from check in to check out. I told the guy that checked me in that one of the rooms was for my boyfriends mother and he asked me if I wanted to rooms together or on a separate floor. I thought that was so awesome because we always love and prefer our privacy!
It was a nice place and friendly people
Horrible experience
Checked in at 930. Had to wait about 15 to 30 minutes before a lady came to the front desk. After coming off the rode I just to take a shower and go to sleep. After I took a shower and jump in bed noise and smoke almost made me sick to my stomach. I left the hotel and went to the Sheraton on Cobb parkway.
Dirty
This place is terrible. Do not stay here.
Not safe area, dirty rooms
Not safe area. Room smelled bad and was clearly being used. 2nd room they gave me also smelled. I asked for a refund. A woman saw me leaving the first room and told me the area was really damgerous and I should try to find a different area to stay in.
Convenient location, but…
We waited at least ten minutes to check in, as nobody was at the desk. The clerk was not very friendly, and was difficult to understand because she mostly seemed to speak under her breath. The building and furnishings are very dated. Nothing seemed to be unclean, other than the bathroom mirror. The bathroom is very small, but adequate. There is no space to set many toiletries on the tiny counter. The mattress needed to be replaced, there wasn’t much support. On the positive side, it’s not far off the interstate and was fairly quiet. It’s located within walking distance of several restaurants and a Publix grocery store. This facility mostly serves long term stays, not sure why they are renting on a per night basis. Lesson learned. I won’t stay here again.
Staff is undertrained
Very dirty flooding in lobby very smelly
Front desk very nice. Elevator was not clean Overall, I would stay again
Staff was niceanf my room was clean.
We stayed on the 3 floor and soon as you get off the elevator it smelled just like mildew the carpet looked VERY dirty and the room we was in was a queen suite. The bed was very close to the ac until which caused a bruise on my leg from getting out the bed on that side and the sofa bed was dirty I couldn’t even allow my daughter to sleep on it.
Normal and safe
Good
