Dirty. Absent staff.
I habe never seen so much dust on rolling chairs in my life. Along with a cockroach and two dead bugs on the wall. Couldnt discuss at checkout since there was no one at the desk. I waited almost 10 minutes.
Dated
Busy area . There’s so many things around.
Decent price for a place to rest during travelling, staff was exceptional, room was clean.
I said at this location in the past and again the front staff particu
Its not for tourist to stay.
This my first time I complain about my stay, the room its been empty for long time, smell terrible, the sink in the bathroom was clog and toilet bowl not working properly. The elevator out of service and the customer service not friendly and helpful. Overall I really regret booked this hotel. I want half of my money back!
I didn't like that the elevator broke down, there's no ice machine, no daily house keeping & there was a roach in my room.... When told about the roaches the manager was very apologetic, the other staff was polite as well.....
Water is too slow !
Never Again
Breakfast a joke. Puts in frig and microwave for extended stay. Cheap bed
In my shower was a used, dirty wash rag - I checked in around 12:30a and showered right away, super tired not realizing - the next day I woke up and showered again to wash my hair and realized the disgusting rag. Never again!

Staff
The Service
Not in good conditions. I have two kids and Im scared with the cleanliness.
We stayed one night and it was fine.
The stay was fine and the service was fine. The included breakfast is just coffee and packaged muffins mostly. They didn't have regular coffee creamer. Just sweet ones. The people who worked there were very nice. The room was fine. Nothing extraordinary. Just a room. I would probably stay there again. In walking distance of restaurants and shops.
The staff is very supportive!
We arrived very late due to a delayed flight but we had previously been assured as long as we checked in by 2am we were ok. After landing we called multiple times to confirm that we were still on our way, but the phone just rang every time. We took our chances and taxied to the property. However nobody was around to let us in. We called the front desk with the phone by the door and still no answer. We called the reservation line and they said we could wait longer or we could go to another location. Someone did eventually let us in but in the 1.5 hours in the middle of the night we were stranded and unsure if we were going to have a place to stay. Very disappointed in this experience.
Close to airport and cruise port. Lots of restaurants, grocery store and shopping within walking distance. There is NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE however it was advertised on expedia website that there was. Fortunately we had called ahead to find out the procedure for a pickup and were informed that they had no shuttle.
My air conditioner unit in room continued to leak the entire time i stayed. The floors were soaking wet. They had no way to accommodate. They also complained immensely when i asked fir additional towels to clean the mess. Never sent anyone to fix until i was walking out the door to check out. The room had rusted furniture on lamps and no charging ports in the room for phone. Never will come back very upset and not satisfied as i was here for business
Is not what looks like on the website
No shuttles were provided anywhere. The bathtub did not drain and it need to be fixed
Manager on duty Alex on reception was friendly and curtious. multitasking between front office, and housekeeping. I usually stay at Hyatt place close by Extended stay America good value, but minus the pool gym bar and cooked pre-manufactured breakfast. But other than that Extended stay America I felt a disconection between the glossy advertisments and the product. Good location, close to amenities. The hotel is like a motor inn, no vibe or atmosphere, no common areas. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable, each room has a kitchenette great if you want to keep it simple. cooking items available clean from reception, Carabbas the italian restaurant next door was good and affordable.
After a long day of air travel it would be nice to have a cold beverage when you get to your room but unfortunately this hotel had no ice machine. For $200/night you would also expect the desk clerk to give you a granola bar even though you missed the cutoff time by five minutes. Hotel rates in Fort Lauderdale are ridiculously high. If staying the night before a cruise you probably would spend less with a room and taxi ride from MIA than the overpriced FLL hotels many of which have no airport shuttles.
Service took a bit to get help after a couple ring to get someone to check us in. Bathroom in one of the rooms booked was not cleaned but they were able to move us to another room. Overall stay was good!
Good for low maintenance travellers
It was a fine place to stay overnight. The staff was kind and accommodating, however quite unorganized from my experience. I was put in a room that was still being cleaned, moved to another room and had someone knocking on my door in the evening and morning because they didn’t know I changed rooms. The bed and main area was clean. The bathroom definitely needed a deeper clean. Fingerprints on the door and soapscum in the shower.
I have to be honest, we only stay here due to the price being cheaper than the other hotels in the area and also evening close to the cruise port. The hotel needs a remodel, carpets in the hallway holds a very old smell. We went down for breakfast at 8:45am, there were no more eggs or yogurt left, breakfast was supposed to be over at 9:30am, lots of time to have refilled. Our friends went down at 9:10am and they still had not refilled any food. Staff did not even greet us when we arrived but I have to say the gentleman on checkout was a little more friendly.
I will definitely stay there again
It is a nice property
Great location
A great location for the Cruise Port. Good service and nice room.
wasnt worth the money, didn't appreciate staff that helped. check in was 3, came at 4:30 and room still wasnt ready. very run down facility
So-so
On the plus side, it is close to the cruise terminal and has nearby shopping and restaurants. On the minus side, the elevator was not always working and we had to carry our bags up to the 3rd floor. Water pressure in the shower was very weak.
Wow! This is the most expensive place we’ve stayed. It was expensive because it’s by the port and spring break. No coffee maker or anything in kitchen area except a towel. Small shampoo and bar of soap in bathroom. Very thin coverlet on bed. Broken window. Stayed in 136 right next to busy road. Sounded like sleeping in the middle of a NASCAR track. Bare bones place. Won’t stay in an extended stay again.
Night before cruise
It was fine. Not special. Good transit stop for airport to cruise.
Not the best.
I stayed at this hotel because my daughter had a dance competition near by. In the room description, it said it was a non-smoking room. As you as you walk in, you can smell cigarettes in the room. When it was time to sleep, I could barely sleep from the smell, even the bed sheets had cigarettes smell. Also, the floor of the room was super dirty. I had gotten out of the shower, walked around the room, 15 mins later my feet were BLACK! They need to do better.
The staff was excellent!! Jarde was very sweet & extremely helpful.
This hotel is a dump. There’s a 2nd door to enter lobby. The door is ajar, but still need to call on a dirty phone to be buzzed in, even though front desk can see you 2 feet away. No personality front desk, got a weird feeling about safety; stayed in room as family went to dinner to guard our stuff in room. The hotel stinks. The room smells like urine. There is a huge nasty algae blotch all over the window. Tje curtain has stains. The bath mat has a dirty foot outline. The sink water is plugged. The toilet has to be flushed twice and the shower has a trickle of water. This is by far the only dirtiest hotel I’ve ever had the displeasure to stay.
This was my second stay. First stay was excellent. But thus time the air did not work in my room. And the only room available. Was not on a floor level rhat was accomdating fod me
Everything was just right
The worst hotel i have stayed in years! Broke tv, broke phone, broke microwave. Rude manager. Never coffee or breakfast after 630. Noisey water treatment plant. Sewer smells. Just all around mess! Dont stay here!!!
my stsy
Hot water did not work, but clean and easy
No heat in rooms I was cold
Not happy
No on was available at the front dress at night Towels were spotted Roaches Stench in hallways
Just what we needed the night before the cruise
Very cheap short term option for a cruise
Property was very quiet; easy check in.
Disgusting smell
Hotel was gross. Our room smelled like rotting garbage and the bathroom smelled like musty cigarettes. Went down to the desk to ask if we could get a new room. The manager stated that he smelled the room himself and it was fine but we could check out another room to see. The second room was better but still smelled musty. The comforter felt like they had just sprayed it down with febreeze. It left a residue on your hands when you rubbed it. We had this hotel booked for another night before a cruise in may and I cancelled it immediately after seeing the state of the rooms and property.
Very convenient
The room was dirty and did not have hair drier or ironing board. Iron was available in the room and the staff suggested I would iron on the bed.
Door troubles
The hotel was nice and clean, but we had multiple issues getting into our room. The key worked initially but then after did not work. I went to the front desk three times for new keys and none worked. Then finally the guy working the front desk came and changed the batteries in the door. That worked for a couple initially but then I went outside to smoke came back and the door did not work again. I had to knock on my door and wake everyone up and they were not happy.
I do not recommend this property. The rooms are very outdated. No ice on property. Service at front desk was very poor.
Very convenient location, great for commuting workers
Needs to be updated
Never again!
All elevators out of service. No hair dryers in rooms. Continental breakfast was an embarrassment. Overall a dump.
For the person who reads these reviews. The images are NOTHING like the room we stayed in. Super outdated, the a/c unit is disgusting, and the bathroom looked wiped down… thankfully our bed was nice and clean. Not worth the price we paid for one night ($200 ). Hopefully this location can clean up a little.
This is not a $300 a night property, there are smells all around and breakfast is coffee and muffins
Feb 2025
Quiet, clean, cozy, and spacious. The staff was kind and check in was seamless.
The price was reasonable and the room was spacious. The big advantage was being able to walk to the Princess cruise terminal. The "breakfast was minimal: some muffins and breakfast bars, for the most part. There are some Quaker oatmeal packages, as well as grits (just add hot water, which is available at the counter). Coffe and teabags are also available at the food counter, but not in the rooms.
Average
Not a high quality experience!
Basic room and bathroom. The bathtub faucet was loose and took awhile to figure out how it turn it on and get hot water. No hair dryer but you are supposed to ask for one at the front desk. When I asked, they said they were locked away until housekeeping came at 9:00. They said they would deliver one then, but they never did. The breakfast was poor. Packaged foods with no taste and the coffee was very bitter.
I would stay again, no doubt.
The entire hotel smells bad, but the rooms have a particularly pungent smell. The room key/lock works 1 out of 23 attempts. Overall terrible experience... save yourself and avoid this horrible hotel!
The front desk was nice, but not always there, which was inconvenient when checking in. There is no shampoo or toiletries in the room so that was a bit inconvenient having to go downstairs and no front desk there, and if there was a FD she was busy. Overall It was ok, but it was noticeable that it was an older hotel. It was very basic, and the carpets smelled. But the rooms were clean, an it was comfortable for the 1 night stay we booked for
$500 a night for.. Scary shaking broken elevator Broken clanking compressor all night Bathtub controls that don’t work Rust covered lamps No cleaning service Between nights No person on duty at check out..had to leave keys with a note! Complete joke of a property
Fantastic staff members, helpful and very kind.
Spacious clean rooms with facilities and friendly service
The property is old and needs updating, looks like it is occupied by the construction worker working close by.
TV didn’t work and had to change rooms - receptionist bery helpful but it had been a long day
Property outdated, old, was clean enough but could be cleaner and in need of a complete renovation. Elevator was scary to use so we mostly took the stairs. Location was very good tho but would not stay there again.
This "hotel" was garbage all the way around! The place was dirty, most of the equipment was not working (rooms and common areas), and the workers were extremely disrespectful and unpleasant (angry at times). Please don't waste your money at this hotel... save yourself!
Someones not doing their job
Was not clean. Had to get toilet plugger at 2:00 am. No help from the hotel they just handed me the plunger. Wow!
ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES, Elevator not inspected since 2021, elevator broke, shower broken. Refused refund more than $70, we paid $350 for 1 night in this flop house. STAY AWAY!!!
Super convenient
So close to the cruise port
Great location close to restaurants and cruise port
Average hotel. Breakfast never put out, staff said delivery driver never came. Hallway smelled like weed and had random trash in stairwells. Checked in at 5pm normal checkin is at 3pm and room wasn’t ready had to wait for room to be cleaned. Staff was very nice
Bare minimum
The bare minimum. One hoarder woman took ALL the breakfast food, leaving none for anyone else. When confronted (“can we have just ONE of those?!) she insisted they were all she had. And when we talked to the guy at the desk, he said she hoards the food and doesn’t even eat it. So all the other guests have no breakfast. They know there’s a problem and management hasn’t addressed it!
Wow! Just wowwwww
Alex was great at the front desk, but unfortunately, our stay was a nightmare. From the elevator that felt more like a haunted house ride, to the toilet that kept overflowing, to the microwave that didn’t heat our food—there was one issue after another. We reported everything, and maintenance came out twice, but nothing was properly fixed. Eventually, we had to cut our stay short. To top it off, when we were checking out, the same elevator we had complained about (which the night shift front desk claimed was perfectly fine and up to date with protocol) was *still* out of order the next day. Honestly, it was just ridiculous. I'm thankful for Alex being so accommodating, but the overall experience was horrific."
The only thing that i can truely say about this property is that the young man at the desk was very professional and understanding. Walking into the lobby of this hotel smelled of trash and not to mention we had roaches in our room. Needless to say, it was a very uncomfortable night, having to stay awake to watch our bags, not wanting to risk any roaches crawling into our bags and we taking them home.
Won’t stay again
There wasn’t any comfortable chairs. The bed was lumpy and the bed linens were dirty. My wife’s comforter had blood on it.The shower was a trickle and it took forever to get hot water.
It’s okay, pricey…
It’s okay, but pricey due to convenient location to cruise line ports.
The bath faucet was too short- hard to get ash up. Also very little water pressure in shower. Everything else was fine
Needs total renovation. Stained towels.
This hotel is clean and appears to have been remodeled recently. It lacks items like a coffee maker and glasses and dishware that you would expect to find at an extended stay property. I got a hair dryer from the desk. Our room had faint smells of smoke and urine. The desk clerk said the urine smell was likely from the nearby water treatment plant. We found a great Thai sushi place for happy hour food just across the street.
Wasn't to impressed
Cockroach in room,
Rom smelled, needs updating, metal lamps rusted, way too much money for a room this bad.
Lackluster Layover Hotel
This was a lackluster overnight business trip. The room had no heat. Called down and was asked to grab blankets from the front desk instead of someone delivering the blankets. DoorDash was not allowed to leave food at the desk for pickup. I had to leave the hotel. Tub had a yellowish hue so the water in the tub replicated the color. Microwave and stove were outdated. False representation of the room picture used in the room selections. I choose not to stay here again.
We checked in and there was bugs all over the room, crawling on the floor and by the kitchenette area
Ordinaire comme endroit. Odeur de cannabis dans le corridor. Mais tranquille. Proche de tout.
It was ok
We had a pleasant enough stay at this location. The only thing that I lacking is there was no pots, so hardware and ice machine available at this location like other extended stay. Better breakfast options would be appreciated Front desk are excellent!
The smell matched the price
It smelled horrible in there. I actually vomit after staying in there for 2 hours, and slept with a drop of mint essential oil in a surgical mask on. Thankfully, I was only there for a long layover but it was not worth the money.
Very modest
The only reason you may want to consider this hotel is if you have to get on a cruise the following day. Very convenient for the port, all the rest is a car crash
Terrible
Upon checking into the room looking around room smelled like cigarette smoke, the bathroom was not clean and there was a cockroach on the toilet… room was changed contacted hotels they stated hotel would not do a refund. Slept in clothes, placed our bags on table as second room still was not completely clean. Next morning worker banged on door told us we had to check out even though I requested late check out and staff before did not leave not so we had to leave.
Everything was good. Clean and friendly staff
The stay was nice. Only there for the night, caught a cruise in the early morning. Very convenient for cruise stay , very close to harbor entrance!
Na
Good overall, I would suggest to have a cutting board, hair dryer , put a closet door and to upgrade the window blinds . Happy with my stay and it was clean so that's a plus. Thank you for letting me stay.
Great location with welcoming staff at the front desk.
Don’t stay here
Absolutely disgusting that the shower didn’t work. When we enquired about it we were told “you just are not doing it correctly” pretty sure at the age 52 I know how to use a shower.
Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Fort Lauderdale - Convention Center - Cruise Port | Hotel in Fort Lauderdale | Travala.com
The room had an awful musty smell. Nonethelss, the front desk lady was very kind and lend me a machine for the smell. It is an old hotel, so having that in mind, it was very clean, bed was fine, bathroom was very clean as well and towels and sheets as well. Breakfast is very limited, is a grab n go kind of thing. For a quick stop is OK.
