Good Stay
I would give an excellency rating for this hotel. Price is reasonable, foods are good and services are excellent.
There was loud construction. The refrigerator didn’t work. The AC was very low powered. Also, we were unable to change rooms. They kept saying, call back over and over. Not walkable to any other restaurant bars. Overall would not recommend
The staff at this resort are so nice ! Clean the bedrooms everyday. The service was great. I would give the food a 7/10 , because of lack of flavor and it’s not really a party place but its so close to the clubs that it doesn’t matter. Family and solo traveler friendly
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Emporio. We did the all-inclusive option, which made life less complicated. There were some specialty cocktails that were not included in the all-inclusive option, but I didn’t mind. There were plenty of options that were included. The drinks and the beach/pool areas were fantastic. Our room was clean when we arrived and housekeeping came daily. The line at check-in did take over an hour, so be prepared for that possibility. The food at the buffet was overall quite good, although some things were hit or miss. One night, they had a taco bar complete with a vertical spit for tacos al pastor—that was the best food item I had! The breakfast spread was very good, but the buffet doesn’t open until 7am and we had early excursions some days, so we didn’t get to eat or have coffee before leaving the resort. There is a Starbucks on site, but that also doesn’t open until 7am. We found out later that there is a convenience store nearby where you can buy coffee and snacks before 7am, but it is outside the resort. There are two restaurants on site that require reservations. We went to the Italian restaurant, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I ordered pesto and it was basically olive oil with small amounts of basil—not at all like a standard pesto. We were not able to get a reservation for the Argentinian place, but the food looked delicious. The resort had some sort of entertainment each night, which was lovely!
We enjoyed our stay at the Emporio! The room was clean and neat with all its amenities! The people are very servicial, friendly and respectful! The silent party was awesome! The service is upstanding and the food was wonderful! Drinks were ok! I would only recommend improving their coffee density. And the ocean view from every angle was absolutely stunning!!! I loved it!!!
Whatever the problem I had, they always sent staff to resolve.
Nice
They stoled my YsL bag from the room and I reported it and they said they are not responsible and that they did not see anything in the cameras! I asked if I was able to see the footage and they denied me from seeing it!!!
Great beach. Good rooms, a bit dated, cleaning could be better
Safety is always my first thought and they definitely provided this, and everything else was just as enjoyable.
Great place and wonderful staff
I was very disappointed with my stay at Emporio Cancun. The check-in process was dreadful—long waits and disorganization made for a frustrating start to my vacation. The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar, with multiple areas needing attention. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude, especially if you didn’t speak Spanish. This experience did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.
The experience was mediocre overall. The cooks handling and serving food, including raw meat, were not wearing gloves, which was highly unsanitary. Angel from the reservation department displayed an unprofessional and rude attitude, making the interaction unpleasant. Additionally, there were bugs in the blankets, and the pool was poorly maintained, with food and hair floating in it. On the positive side, the view was great, the steakhouse restaurant was enjoyable, and breakfast was good. However, there’s significant room for improvement.
I've been here several times. I really enjoy it, very laid back. It was a bit noisy with construction (jack hammering) I didn't mind too much. I also think they need to raise the game on the buffet choices. Maybe have something special. Was just "food". The two specialty restaurants were very good. I always enjoy my stay here. Staff helpful.
The bar staff are amazing and so are the waiters. If only reception could be as nice and helpful as them. We had a problem when checking in. They like to say no a lot not helpful or friendly what so ever!!! Every time I dealt with them the outcome was no. Apart from that the beaches are lovely and pool area is clean with plenty of beds. The only other thing is they are doing construction in the complex so be prepared for drilling all day
It is a nice place, ocean front, beautiful beach and has a very good restaurant "Cua" food is 😋 delicious, all the pools are amazing, nice views, most staff are very nice and friendly, the one problem here is checking in, for some mandatory reason they wont start checking in until exactly 3:pm...you can register anytime but they wont activate your keys until after 3pm but while we are waiting in line these airline workers would come in skip the line get checked in and a roon key and no problem...why is that? it seems to me like the people at this hotel thinks those guest are more valuable than any body else, unfortunately we will never go back to this place.
All good, sometimes drink were not consistently good, but nothing that affected the trip, loved the benefit for the bucket.
Very average hotel, waited over 45 minutes in the check in line and it was poorly organized. Wouldn't recommend it
Good resort for the price you pay
Highly Recommended!! The Resort Is Super Nice and Clean. Such beautiful views from every where around the hotel!
Everything is good except that the shop at the facility dont do returns. Over all we love our stay at the resort.
Great staff great food amazing place and the inclusive option is very worth it! Looking forward to coming back!
Customer service was outstanding from the reception desk staff, poolside bartenders, wait staff at the restaurants and maintenance staff. I do plan to reserve again at the Emporio.
location, pools, welcoming atmosphere
Terrible terrible , check is was 4 hours, airconditioner made such a terrible noise, we had to sleep outside on a chairs, we had breakfast including but they didn’t except it, told us to call Expedia, I would not recommend this resort, they have such a nice resorts in Cancun I can’t believe I had to pay for this.
Noisy from 6am to 11pm with construction. Half the property facilities closed due to that construction. You have to call for room service, otherwise they will skip you. Check in took forever and staff at check in was not helpful. Buffet terrible. But overall an inexpensive low budget option.
Good but could be better.
The hotel is sprawling and difficult to navigate immediately post check-in. Construction work is currently being undertaken and the persistent noise of drilling is extremely annoying. When booking I was not made aware of this. Some of the onsite restaurants are not as good as others onsite. The staff are friendly, helpful and will go the extra mile. I would certainly recommend this hotel and will probably return in the future.
Excelente atención al cliente y la comida deliciosa.
My original reservation was a jr suite with an ocean view. The view was so tiny you couldn’t find the water. Our view was in front if a bldg next door that was being torn down. I made a call diwbstairs and they immediately came and changed our room. The new room was perfect. No problen!
The property was very pretty, the staff was very friendly, the beach is so accessible, and the dinner buffet was great
Quiet evenings.
Affordable resort with excellent amenities.
I appreciated the fact that this hotel was not in the middle of the built-up section of hotel row! It was also in front of the Mayan museum and archaeological site, which was incredible! It was quiet, calm, and safe. I have nothing bad to say about this property and only warm fuzzies, but the kids are taking home with them.
Property is great but booking through Expedia was a mistake, I booked a double deluxe suit that would room 8 people. I went with 2 of my friends. The staff refuse to check me in the hotel until I paid for additional person, they charge hotel room per person. It was a horrible experience. I will never lodge in hotel emporio again nor will I book through Expedia
Everyone was very helpful, nice and clean.
Why go anywhere else, This is the perfect place
My 2nd time this year staying at this resort. It’s beautiful, clean, accommodating, reasonable in price and good food and drinks. We love staying here
For the price it was great. The property is beautiful. We didn't do AI but did get bfast included (which was great).
It was a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Everyone had a smile and was super friendly. The food was great. I was never able to get a reservation for the italian restaurant as it was super booked. But all the other restaurants were tasty. My only complaint was the housekeeping directly related to my room. The first night i had no remote. Also the complimentary bottle of water was opened/used. On subsequent nights i received no replacement washclothes, and they would leave various items out i.e sheets were on the counter, clean trash bags on the bathroom counter. Very minor, which i am sure is in relation to how quickly they are having to turn over rooms.
Not enough dinning options. Most require reservations. Not enough food options
It was a very nice property. Staff were very friendly
There were jackhammers running constantly outside our room from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for 9 of the 10 days we were there. It was so loud up in our 9th floor room that we opted for excursions everyday just to get away from it. The hotel was okay in general, and the breakfast was fine. We opted out of the all inclusive as we ate at the daily excursions we took. Had we known about the construction we would have booked somewhere else. Without the construction issue, the hotel would have been rated a 7 for us.
Wouldn’t recommend it, when I arrived in the room, found a cockroach dead on the floor, they changed our room. The new room shampoo and conditioner were misplaced, when I opened to fix it, inside the bottle holder was molded. Chair and coach were stained. At dinner the buffet was poor, asked to replace a beef 3 time, took a while for them to do
Everything was well. We requested to change our room and they were so welcome to that.
I love it!
Has good views but terrible service My room was dirty, they gave me a different room but it was a long delayed deal. Elevator out of service for my total stay and they have loud construction from 6:am to late night hours
NOT MANY DINING CHOICES
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food and other amenities were fantastic.
Perfect little get away.
We stayed there for 15 nights. First week we could order drinks at the beach and pay with cash. Second week, they said it was not allowed. What's up with that??? The "vendors" are obviously using Emporio as an escape from the police. The "private security" on the property is for appearances only. We saw vendors "esacpe" up the stairs, take off vendor clothing, come down and keep an eye out for police, alert other vendors, and then go change back into their vendor clothing once police were gone. We saw young man leave items on a chair and run on the stairs and police came and stopped and ran up stairs too late to catch him. We tried to alert someone of what the young man left, but security didn't speak english and pointed us to the towel lady. Later, from our balcony, two "vendor" ladies came up, opened the container the young man left and get on the phone, and then take it and leave the beach. Another day to male vendors ran from police and hid in the corner behind the turtle nests, right under our balcony. Once the police had passed by, they came back out. We don't know who is paying who to have your private security have all of this going unnoticed, but it was unbelievable to use...each and every day. We've vacationed in Cancun for 25 years. The water and sand were the best we've ever seen. But the layout of your resort, the lack of security, and being treated as 2nd class patrons will have us go to other resorts in the future. Our experience will be shared.
Best thing is the staff Not very happy with the Fasano restaurant
Perfect for our honeymoon.
This was our honeymoon for me and my wife. It was absolutely perfect. The view from the balcony was incredible. We both loved our room and the entire property was amazing. The waiter at one of the restaurants was awesome. Highly recommended for a romantic stay.
The rooms are super dirty. When I stayed there. Room service didn’t do their job. Would literally make the bed and not even bother emptying the garbage can, forget cleaning and sweeping the floor. The concierge was supposed to put a gift or cake in my room as it was my honeymoon. I would remind them everyday but they never did and I was there for multiple days. I had switch rooms more than once cuz a/c wasn’t working. Don’t let pictures deceive you. Awful experience. Poor staff especially Jose the manger. Barely knows English or acts like he doesn’t know English when it’s convenient for him
This was the best time every will definitely recommend!
Clean , and staff was very friendly.
Perfect
I have no complaint because this hotel is cheaper than other all inclusive hotels. This hotel charges 300 pesos per room-service delivery. But we were not notified during the check in. That is a little inconvenience. Staffs are very friendly but it is hard to get servers in the pool. We had to find and follow servers lol to order something. And there is not a lot of things to do at night. I would recommend here for someone who us looking for family trip with a cheaper budget! I wanna givd 5 stars for all the staffs!
Very nice property and the service is excellent.
Would definitely stay again there!!
The property is well maintained and the staff friendly. My only issue is that they need to vary their menu, the food becomes boring after a few days.
Had a wonderful three night stay at the Emporio. The hotel is located on the best section of the beach in Cancun’s Hotel Zone. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Service is the restaurants was also great. The property is very clean and recently renovated. Overall very good value for money.
The hotel is not handicap accessible. My mom is in a wheelchair right now which we informed the property of so they said they would put us in a room nearby. When we arrived we paid for a deluxe room with an ocean view, the view was of the pool and the room was dirty, outdated, there was mold on the furniture, the phone and lockbox didn’t work so we were moved rooms. They moved us to a room on the 9th floor which you had to sneak by the side of the pool to go to the restaurant- again, my mom is in a wheelchair right now. Finally, the moved us to a handicap accessible room with no view at all and said they would not refund the difference we paid for ocean view because they don’t have accessible rooms that view the ocean. The last two days the tv broke and they said they could move us rooms AGAIN if we wanted a tv… They are doing construction so there is no spa, all of the ramps are closed, room service isn’t included in the the all inclusive price, coconut drinks are not included in all inclusive, even though the hotel is empty the pool beds aren’t included in the package, the pool beds have tears. The chairs have black mold growing on them. Nothing seems clean. The only redeeming qualities are the servers by the pool. Mercedes and Javier and the Ciu restaurant manager. This place needs updating along with new front desk managers. Please avoid.
Overall great hotel, and great service Fernando at the front desk was very helpful and made sure we had a warm welcome. All of the staff, waitresses, bartenders, housekeepers, were super nice and attentive. It was nice to get to know the staff and be recognized by them. Being in Cancun we all expect to not have any decent food however the food in the property was so good! Our only complaint is that one of our room’s had a leak coming from a light fixture. We called and had maintenance “fix” it but the patch that was placed fell off after a few hours and the leak continued. We notified the hotel days into our stay so I think they didn’t bother to move us to a new room. This was a very small issue to us compared to all the positive things we got to experience here.
You pay for what you get in this property. There’s 3/4 restaurants included in the all inclusive but only could find 2 which 1 closed at 5pm and the other one seemed to never be opened. The food in the buffet was super below par, it even made me sick! I was out for 2 days during my stay. They took 2 whole days to pick up plates outside of our room. They didn’t even want to change 50$ in USD to MXN currency…over all, if you want a hotel that’s close to beaches and bus accessible I guess it’s okay but I won’t stay here again. 2/10
Need maintenance
.
Great place
I love the place
Very nice place, get the all inclusive if you plan to stay in the hotel, it is worth it
Well to start off they need to take off the optional off, I thought it was part of the name of the hotel! Your only pay for flights and your hotel no food or drinks are included, so we had to pay extra for that and it was a lot! And the food was not that good! All together it was like $ 800 and person that we pay and like I side the food was not that good the rooms are to small, inside the restroom the showers need updates bc it looks like they have mole! Are AC was not working well so are room was mostly hot at nights. Last time for us at that hotel!
The service is good but it should be considered to include the transportation service from the airport to the hotel
Breakfast is not so good
It was memorable.
Great location and the staff is very friendly
Everything about the location and comfort was excellent. Food from buffet was always cold. They should work on a way to keep food hot. The food selection was only Mexican. There was no American options.
Nice hotel with good food and outer view is awesome viewing sea side
The grounds were very beautiful. We were upgraded to a beach front room near the adults only pool. It ended up being very loud. The extremely sweet front desk ladies were so kind to move us to a much higher floor were we had a beautiful beachfront view and a more peaceful stay.
If youre going to book the hotel the best option would be the all inclusive package. It was worth the price as you do have access to unlimited buffets throughout the day. The staff were very accomdating and polite. Never be shy to ask where something is as they will try their best to assist. The resort is right by the ocean so at night you can find peace with the waves.
Not a warm welcome
Food was great. Hotel rooms were basic and not dirty but not the cleanest. Hotel staff was friendly while at the eating areas but extremely rude and unwelcoming in the other areas of the resort. I was injured at the pool. Tiles were broken at the bottom of the pool floor and i cut my foot pretty badly. Staff was very rude about making sure i was ok and refused to give me an incident report number. I wish they were more accommodating to the people that are paying a good amount of money to be here.
Everything and everyone were very helpful.
First time staying at this property. Not first time in Cancun though. Cancun is beautiful! I will make it simple and review it pro/con. My stay was 9 days all inclusive. Pros: - Location. Walking distance to bus stop. Used public transportation often. - Safe area -Rooms were nice. AC worked well. Nice bedding/towels/bed. -Adult Pool was good. - Pool bartenders-Esmar I believe his name is was awesome! CONS: -Food. They served the same food. Every. Single. Day. soup and juice options changed occasionally. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. Same stuff every time. We started eating local food the last 3-4 days. Staff- they all ask for tips constantly. They could bring you a napkin and they’d ask for a tip. Just by looking at them they probably would ask. It was very uncomfortable at times. And if you didn’t. They look at you weird. We are on vacation. The last thing I want is someone always asking for simply bringing you anything. Activity- there is no night life at the hotel for adults. There’s a sports bar but they allow kids to run and cry in there. Even when it’s 10pm. Foosball tables are junk. Pingpong table is junk. Didn’t get to use the pool table. No night life at all. Pools close at 10. There were more couples then there was families there. I’ve stayed at other resorts. And they always had stuff going on at night. Pool-kids swimming in adult pool. No attention to detail there. Overall. Stay was ok. Rooms were ok. I would recommend looking at other places before here
Very friendly staff, very beautiful hotel, excellent location, beautiful beach and views.
This hotel is amazing !!! No complaints. it’s super big , clean, comfortable and convenient!!. I would recommend renting a car when out in Cancun because it just makes it more convenient to travel!! Other than that this hotel will definitely see me again <3
My personal experience
The air conditioning doesn’t work. Also there was a leakage in the room , we had an in incident and they didn’t care. They don’t have anywhere in the website about the all inclusive , not being all inclusive that they charge $300 pesos additional to order from your room. Poor service from the concierge .
Beautiful
When you make the reservation make sure is all inclusive because I pay a lot for two nights and didn’t include food
I had an amazing time at Emporio. The staff was friendly and made check-in easy. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The pool area was well-maintained. The food wasn’t all that. The location was perfect, close to the beach and local spots. I highly recommend this hotel!
Great service, very clean.
Very nice birthday get away
The room was spacious with an updated bathroom including tub and a full array of amenities. Only cards are accepted at pool bar which is a bit annoying but otherwise a great place for 2nts.
Es un excelente hotel el servicio es excelente realmente lo recomiendo.
I do not recommend this hotel. It is not really an ALL. Inclusive hotel since they charge you (must pay with credit or debit card, no cash) many items separately like gelato, specialty coffees etc.. there is also a “service fee” if you order room service. They also charge an “environmental fee” at check in. Also, we were not able to book a reservation at any of 2 the main restaurants since they were already fully booked when we arrived at the hotel around 3 pm so we ended up dinning at the only restaurant left with buffet style dining, very informal and with a limited food selection The next morning we woke up to the hammering noise of the construcción near our room @ 8 am on a Saturday! Oh and the pools were on half full, terrible The only pro was the beautiful uncrowned beach
Staff is very unfriendly to non- Spanish speakers, room service was horrible they take over 2 hours to bring food your food. If an item was missing they promised to return and never did come back.
Lobby was extremely hot, no AC or fans. when we arrived the receptionist that checked us in wasn't very friendly and looked as if she was in a bad mood. when we got to our room the bathroom was dirty and toilet had pubic hair and it was not cleaned. good thing i travel with travel size cleaning products, shower was also dirty and the desk chair had mold, we had to remind them several times to remove the chair because my daughter has asthma. the vents were full of dust mites and we also had to clean that ourselves. food was not good at all and especially at CUA, it was so hot in there that it was just so uncomfortable to even try and enjoy our food. Not to mention the "aguas frescas" weren't even fresh, they were powdered. Hotel looked much prettier in pictures. i dont thing ill be recommending this hotel to anyone.
The Staff is so amazing and professional. They were always one step beyond. Specially Daisy at the Restaurant.
Totally awesome! No complaints! Described as a family resort, but it does have an adults only pool/bar section. You hardly ever even see the kids/families. Lots of great night entertainment, dancers, singers etc.
Enjoyed my stay! The staff is very friendly. Had breakfast Cua and few things from snack bar by the pool, food at those 2 places were good 👍 the rooms were nice!
N/a
Love this resort! Second time coming back! One of the better priced resorts in Cancun and it’s beautiful!
Great resort
happy with this resort choice! Very clean, friendly staff. Beautiful beach. Highly recommend. We had no issues and look forward to visiting again.
Noise for construction going on.
