Very good since 2019 renovation. Great mid-range choice with an excellent house reef.
It was amazing. People are kind and the all inclusive cocktails are delicious. They clean the room twice a day.
Would highly recommend
My husband and I stayed here for 8 days and it was the most amazing trip and experience we’d ever had. Everything was super clean, and we had everything we needed and wanted. The staff were incredible, everyone is so friendly and nice and helpful. Especially Vipula, who greeted you every morning and every evening at breakfast & dinner. And cooked fab meals!
Bar Service staff Jessica provided excellent service & made me feel welcomed.
Be aware, Bad Points - despite the Expedia listing that facilities included the use of water sports activities such as kayaks etc are part of the all inclusive package this turned out to be untrue with a kayak being charged at $50 an hour. The return airport transfer was dangerous as the hotel sent us out in a sub standard boat into a storm which resulted in us returning to the resort after 55 minutes at sea, after taking on too much water. Passengers were sick and crying, fearing for their lives. The management team were very poor at communicating on our return and in their words sent us out “on a bigger boat and a captain that knew what he was doing”. After finally arriving at Male Airport we were soaking wet and so was all our luggage and stinking of diesel from the first boats engines. Annoyingly the customer service team appear to be from the same group as they have failed to respond to our concerns about guest safety. We stayed in an Ocean view superior room but the bathroom was dated compared to other rooms we saw. Good points - service staff are great, special mentions to Shifaau, Raishan, Shareef, Azmoon, Iqbal and Akrum in the restaurants. They looked after us throughout our stay. The Spa and the lady’s there were lovely. Snorkelling on your doorstep is some of the best we had experienced.
Atention of the staff was not the desired one.
What is there to say about this property. Whilst staying here for a week of vacation I was made to feel at home by the most amazing staff I have ever come across on my travels. It started with Gehani, who welcomed my partner and I to the island, and made every request we had to her come through. She was one of the most helpful and genuinely caring persons we met who helped make us feel at home at this resort. Also, sucil and leem went above and beyond to always ensure our needs were met and that anything we asked for was available to us. The food was amazing every single day and we particularly liked chef sanjewa who always provided quality meals. Additinally, moosa helped make our stay within our villa always magical with his birthday and honeymoon celebratory creations. Whilst the staff were amazing and created a truly enjoyable stay, I cannot even begin to talk about the reef which surrounds this island. I’ve snorkeled many places around the world and this was truly the most beautiful, vibrant and alive reef with thousands of fish, sharks, and rays we’ve ever seen. I was truly astounded and loved that the staff continue to make every attempt to protect the reef. I will recommend this resort to anyone who loved snorkeling and diving and who really enjoys being a part of a family because the staff at this resort truly make you feel at home.
Beautiful place
Overall the property is well kept. The water bungalow is nice and clean. One of best snorkeling in the Maldives. It's quite and relaxing. If you're looking for a lot of entertainment then this is not your place. There're only two restaurants. Food options were not great. I give it a two stars on the way the food was prepared. Not very tasty. I would not pick this resort if you are a foodie person. Some staff are not very friendly.
Absolutely outstanding week in a water bungalow. Excellent staff and service, facilities, food and could not have had a more brilliant time. It is a magical island and surrounded by unbelievably beautiful incredible sea life. Could not recommend more highly. Susil and Aalif in the outdoor dining, Schoag our room attendant, Shareef at the pool restaurant and Dinnusha the pool lady .... were all especially 5*****!
Quite, dining option and diving.
The staff was so friendly and the island was beautiful. Best honeymoon ever.
Great resort
The water bungalow was amazing and the team are fantastic!
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. The over the water villa was amazing. The staff went out of their way to put flowers on the bed and give us a honeymoon treat (wine and fruit tray)
Everything was handled very smoothly the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's looking old and tired needs a face lift the seating at the bar area is very dirty and grubby it should be washed on a weekly basis and the entertainment left a lot to be desired it's was depressing and extremely down beat most people are there to celebrate something special so the music should be up beat and happy. The overall holiday was very enjoyable
friendly staff and environment
Love love love!
Excellent service in everything. The resort made us at felt at home in this nice and quiet resort . Customer service was great in every department.
This is a beautiful resort particularly great for snorkeling and scuba divers because of the amazing coral reef. The facilities were very clean and the staff accommodating.
Had a great time, snorkeling was the highlight and also making new friends. (Solo traveler) Andrea was very helpful to me, kind and empathetic.
Best vacation I have ever been on. By the end of our stay the staff felt more like family. I was left in tears when it was time to leave. The most beautiful place I have ever visited. The house reef is amazing with plenty of wild life- sharks, turtles, manta rays, sting rays, thousand of tropical fish. Hands down best vacation ever. Thank you to everyone at Ellaidhoo ❤️❤️❤️
We chose Ellaidhoo Maldives for several reasons, including proximity to Male, amenities, value for the money, and because the “house reef” is one of the best in the Maldives. The resort didn’t disappoint. The diving is amazing and facilities are terrific, but we were also most impressed by the staff. Andrea made sure our transportation was all set and also helped us throughout the week. Nirmala led a most wonderful sunrise yoga class that was truly special. Kamul made sure our waterfront bungalow was kept beautiful but also helped us with our laundry and other needs. I could go on and on but we are truly happy we came here and highly recommend this resort. I’ll add that Haran made us a terrific custom salad daily for lunch and Darshika helped with special food made for my wife and Vigula helped with special gluten free food.
The staff was the best!
Hello. This is Shakira & Natalie. We stayed at Ellaidhoo for about 5 days and it was an amazing experience. We were welcomed from the start of our trip until the very end. The staff was the highlight of the trip. They were phenomenal. To mention a few: Ms. Jacky at the reception, Mr. Marlon, (chef) Mr. Suneth, (chef) Mr. Singh, Osandal, Priyantha, Naufel, Iqubal, Samel and many others that I can’t recall their names at this time. I apologize. They celebrated Natalie’s birthday. They accommodated her needs unexpectedly and made the occasion quite memorable. To this I say, thank you. I am also glad they adhered to Covid restrictions as well and made us feel safe at all times. Thank you all. We will be back. 😊
Our bungalow was a dream, everything you would hope for when you think about a vacation to the Maldives. Outdoor rain shower, beautiful ocean views, and more. However, if you are looking for a full relaxation trip this is for you, if you want more water sports and thrills you may be disappointed. Many of the excursions are dependent on other guests signing with you. The poolside is very quiet, my friend and I thought there would be some music playing, but there wasn't and we felt like if we played some we would be disrupting others/the ambiance. We also were confused as to why, as VIP members why we weren't allowed to dine in the general dining hall. Our hope was to get to meet and interact with more people, but we were only allowed to eat on the water bungalow side. Make sure to read and inquire about all COVID protocols, I did not see any information from the hotel or from the country's health protocols that you could not island-hop without staying the night at a property.
Very nice staff very clean and safe
Love it
Staff was amazing I would go back!
Local feel. Very friendly staff No bacon for breakfast buffet
Good place to stay, excellent reef
Beautiful resort one of the best reefs you can view while snorkeling .Staff was friendly and accommodating ,Unfortunately there was no 24 hour room service so make sure you have your 3 meals ,there were sandwiches supplied at the main bar as an option during the times when they weren’t serving meals,I had a problem which was upsetting with management in which no one advices us that we needed to take a covid test to transfer to another island so make sure you make them aware of that if you are either transferring to another island or going home.I feel all resorts should supply a free covid pcr test to all there guest before checkout to better service there guest. The only reason that I was upset with this resort that they did not make us aware of this so once we transferred to male airport we needed to leave the airport to go to male city to get a covid test wait 4 hours at the airport for results before we can transfer to our next island location.other tourist were caught off guard about this and the airport staff were charging $160 a person to get tested ,which could have been avoided if the resorts would provide this test, please take caution when traveling to the Maldives.Overall my experience was amazing and looking forward to going back to the Maldives again
The island property is beautiful. The staff is lovely. The house reef is amazing. The dive center is very helpful. The room was wonderful. No complaints. A very special place. So many fish sharks to see. The pool is nice as well. The sunsets are epic. I will definitely go back & highly recommend this place!
The best place to enjoy the Maldives and Marivic took care of us in the best way.. The food, snorkling, stuff, natur and the sharks was amaizing
The place was amazing, and Maravic from reception was so helpful and accommodating
Oberall our stay was fantastic, we literally cannot praise rhis hotel enough. Some specific points to jote though: The Room boy Ankit was excellent, really went the extra mile and even provided us with a farewell gift. The Scuba diving instructor Mo was also excellent, so patient and really skilled and passionate about his job. The Spa facilites and staff were the best i habe ever experienced, so warm and welcoming and really good at what they do The Beach bungalow we had was excellent, perfect location and really nice inside The seafood barbecue was amazing, well worth the cost and a great way to dine under the stars
We stayed in a Water Bungalow. The room was spacious and sparkling clean with 2x daily Room service. The Coral reef is intact and teeming with fish. The service in restaurants and bars was exceptional and food was delicious. The only downside is that you cant access the lagoon directly from the bungalows. Overall amazing experience. Recommend
Helpful friendly staff. Great house reef. Good food and drinks.
Just incredibly beautiful! Please just go and enjoy the Paradise!
Snorkeling in the reef was the best i ever seen. The beach was AMAZING the food was delicious and everyone was very very nice and helpful
Great value for money - really enjoyable stay
Had 6 nights - 2 adults 3 children. Everyone really friendly, beach/lagoon are beautiful, staff very good to us. Would highly recommend & would love to return next year.
Very friendly staff Chef Narendra was super friendly and used to come to tables to ask Me and my wife had the best time Water bungalow are super 😌
Maldives
Really friendly staff and generally a great hotel
I booked this for my parents for their first ever maldives trip. They absolutely loved it! The perfect little island paradise 🏝️😊. Just a couple of queries: 1. The broken toilet seat that had to be fixed once. It broken again but they didn't bother telling staff as it was a day before they left. 2.The continual poor shower pressure that was never fixed. 3.Lizards are common in the bathroom and had to be sorted out by staff on several occasions. If this was me, I would be fuming. However, my parents are not ones to complain, and they thoroughly enjoyed the amenities on the island with the half board dining and made use of the snorkeling and gym. They were delighted at this little treat. But I can't help but be slightly disappointed at the things that weren't quite right as my sister and I wanted it to be perfect for them. I don't know if I would book such a room again; it was a superior beach room. I hope that the resort are aware that my parents are not likely to return, and that they have tainted posso ly the one and only trip to maldives in their lifetime. I certainly won't be coming here. When I think of a holiday, I think absolute peace of mind
I liked the house reef and friendliness of the staff. I didn’t like that we were given a different lesser room for the first night than what we had paid for. They offered a free excursion in compensation but I was very disappointed by the uninhabited island excursion. The island had trash that had washed up on it and the reef around it was completely dead.
The staff were all very friendly n the easy access to the beautiful house reef.
Water bungalow was amazing. The beach bungalow was nowhere near as clean and nice.
Great week over the Thanksgiving holiday with my daughter. We had a bungalow over the water and it was fantastic. Quiet, relaxing time with staff that went above and beyond to help us and make sure we were comfortable. The gentleman who works out at the pool was so friendly and he even showed us a big bat that had flown across the pool and was hanging in the tree by the side of the deck. He also gave us tips about snorkeling. Charuka in the restaurant was a pleasure every day, always a smile on her face and made us feel so welcomed. She went above and beyond to make us feel like valued guests. The dining options were diverse and there was always something we liked and we got to try some things we have never had before. The housekeeping team did a great job, the rooms are so clean and the staff is friendly. Overall it was a fantastic trip. One tip, don't exchange at the airport for local currency, you don't need it and when we left the currency exchange was closed and there is no place else to exchange it.
Worst Stay
The seaplane was late both ways due to limited guests to that resort. There weren't enough bars and restaurants in the facility like most resorts we travel to. The resort was a bit outdated and has no type of entertainment. The all inclusive was not all inclusive. You have to pay extra for premium drinks and if you pay for the premium package all inclusive,it is $180 per person per night and that still does not include the premium menu. It was a crap of a deal.
Tremendous stay - really enjoyed our time there and as an all up combination, from accommodation to diving to facilities and food, hard to beat.
The property is quite new and offered wonderful views. The range of activities is a bit limited, with the strong focus being on scuba diving and snorkling. The service staff were generally very good to excellent, but I had repeated issues with the reception staff, who made mulitiple mistakes with my check-in, room assignments, check out, wake up calls, paperwork and trasport to the airport during the 8 days I spent at the resort.
The room we have been assigned was old so we asked for upgrade and the beach room we have been given was just perfect, recently refurbished and in front of the beach. We didn’t like the cement barriers around the island
Great Stay, Diving, and Snorkeling!
We visited the Maldives for our honeymoon, and Ellaidhoo was the first of 2 resorts we stayed at. We picked Ellaidhoo (and were not disappointed or regretful) for the diving & house reef. We stayed 6 nights & did multiple dives during our stay. The dive center & team were amazing, but even better was the house reef. We dove the house reef twice, & snorkeled almost every day. The abundance of life was truly amazing, and some of the best I've seen. Night snorkeling is a must! The proximity to other great sites in the Ari Atoll also made this resort appealing (Fish Head was probably the best). Food - We did the all-inclusive, and after debating on whether or not we should do it, were very glad to have paid the extra $. If we had not, the process for ordering a la carte seemed confusing & the pricing we saw on the menu would not have made financial sense. Therefore definitely go w/ all-inclusive! The alcohol included were basic cocktails (decent and better than expected), beer, & wine. The food for all meals was buffet style, & very varied each day. We were surprised by the array of different food offered, including dessert, over our six days. We stayed at the Beach Bungalow, which was right across from the main beach (small and not the most picturesque, but made up for on how close the house reef was). Roomy and comfy. So this is by no means the best looking or "5-star" resort available in Maldives, but if you want great diving & 'bang for your buck' you can't beat Ellaidhoo.
House reef was fantastic, stunning pool area, food and staff were brilliant
Over the water bungalow is a must. Make sure you book it before you go as they are usually full. Full board is the best way to go although the food is hit and miss but you still get enough to eat. Women at reception are very friendly and helpful the men will not even try to help quite rude.
Great hotel
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We had an all inclusive water bungalow which was so worth it. The room was beautiful. The staff are great, food was lovely and the house reef was fabulous. Staff 5/5 - great persoanlised service, its only a small resort so you get to know the staff. House reef 4/5 - we saw plenty of sharks, rays, jack fish, eels, all types of fishes. Right in the bay are many baby sharks which were amazing to swim with. The 5.30pm fish feeding is wonderful to watch! Also the 10.30pm rubbish collection to the boat is incredible to see the large nursery sharks. We also did a night snorkel which was good, just me and my husband guided around the reef. We saw lobsters, bigger sharks, eels and many rays. Food and drink 4/5 - very good tasty food but only 1 restaurant to eat at. All inclusive is a basic all inclusive service with set meal times, limited drinks and very limited snacks. Entertainment 2/5 - not much entertainment at all, every night is very quiet. Just the fish feeding and when the sharks come to visit. Airport transfers 1/5 - the airport - hotel situation is a bit of a nightmare. Even though i sent it in advance, they did not have our flight details and we had to wait for the next boat (4 hours later). Missed our first day at the resort because of it. When speaking to others this is not an uncommon thing so be prepared for a long wait.
This place is special. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such friendliness and hospitality. It is a beautiful island, with awesome people working there. The snorkeling is amazing and even just relaxing in the ocean is such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We stayed in the water bungalows and were treated like VIPs. Honestly, the staff could not do enough for us. There were some staff members who were especially great- Faaiq as the funniest character ever was our waiter for the week, Narendar in the kitchen was just the friendliest and most humble guy, Samuel and Mohamed at the bar with just such excellent service and great cocktails, Salime from housekeeping who was just so helpful, Ahu who was so great with some of the excursions we were able to go on, and Saman who was just so lovely at the wonderful infinity pool with a really amazing view. The cuisine was so great. Every meal was so different and so tasty. They are so great at making food from basically every cuisine you can think of. The room was so amazing. Exactly what you would think of when thinking of an overwater villa. The hotel just has so many added extra nice little touches and just made the entire stay so wonderfully memorable. Would recommend it as much as possible. 5 stars all the way.
It’s really a nice and pretty island. And the view from the stay is pretty.
Great location with excellent in house reef to snorkel on. Rooms clean and tidy, on the whole food was very good and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Drinks were readily available from the bar as well as water is in the rooms with tea and coffee. Boat ride is a little long- 1 1/2 hr plus, ours was very uncomfortable due to the weather. Took the sea plane back, much better idea although on a nicer day the boat ride would have been better. A couple of strange restrictions like only 3 devices available n the WiFi and being allocated the same table was in the restaurant were a little frustrating and the outside ablutions whilst excellent do need some care when the staff are chopping down coconuts on ladders. Music each night in the bar, no doubt a BBQ of some sorts, ours was Halloween, brilliant food. Overall I would certainly recommend a visit, for a thoroughly relaxing break or a week spent snorkelling and diving it’s perfect.
Loved beach/ room/ spa/pool/ snorkelling/ staff/ sea plane/ resort.... Liked food and service and restaurant Did not like having to wear a plastic wrist band for duration / having to sit at same table all week / quality of shop poor and did not reflect quality of resort
The hotel was as expected. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and I feel it was worth the money despite not having steps or direct access into the water. Our main issue occurred when we were notified that we would have to depart the room at 5am and sit at the airport until 7am due to their only being two boat departures for the day (Sunday), We first called an then went to the front desk to see about our options. We were not given any and told that this was simply the only way. After asking about the seaplane departure times we were told that we could take a seaplane departing at 10:00am from another island. We obliged and paid more to be allowed a few extra hours in our room, and not at waiting at the airport until our 3pm flight. The day of our departure we checked out at the time advised, only to be told that we would have to wait at the bar, as the seaplane was late arriving at the other Island. We asked and were told that we could not wait in our room, despite checkout being 12pm and it only being 10:00am. The manager Andreanna would not even speak with us despite walking past us numerous times. Also, the WiFi was completely out for our entire first day when we arrived. The workers were great, it is management and their customer service that needs a lot of work. For our next visit to the Maldives, we will certainly spend our money at another resort.
This island is just as amazing as you imagine. The over the water bungalows are fantastic and the resort is perfect. Our only feedback would be they don't have enough fine dining options and gluten free meals. Mostly it's buffet for the package all meals supplied packages.
Loved the beach , the food could have been better
The staff was great. The food was first class. And our room was perfect 👌.
All of it amazing my only critique was the service sometimes. Probably a cultural thing - but found the men quite rude and abrupt. I had upgraded to full board and one of them loudly accuse me of not paying for lunch was my complaint about the place
The service was great. The food was very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. the spa is especially great ! The only thing that was disappointing for us was the beach. Whn travelling to the maldives we were looking for a beautiful sandy beach like you see and like was shown in the pictures. Unfortunately this was a great disappointment as the beach area is very small and the bricks protecting the corals also ruin the view.
This resort was amazing!!! We loved our stay here. The overwater bungalow was incredible and had a private restaurant which was a nice perk. Food was awesome, especially breakfast l, always found lots to eat. Snorkeling in the area was some of the best we’ve seen in Asia and the fish feeding was really unique
Thank you for the good service it’s was comfortable stay
The staff were all extremely welcoming, nothing was a bother to them.
Amazing snorkeliing on house reef but could improve All Inclusive offer to include minibar drinks and more cocktail options that you got with Premium All Inclusive.
The only dissapointment were the waiters at the restaurant particularly in the waterbungalow. I never encountered such bad attitude of waiters in resorts and hotels in my entire life even in a 2 star hotel. Hotel services were usually good and servers were pleasing and helpful.. except in ellaidhoo. And to think that we were guests in waterbungalow villas, but we were treated like we were just an annoyance to them. The other waiter seems to be annoyed answering my questions about the beverages on what are chargeable or unlimited, I mean I have to know what we paid for but he has such a bad attitude in addressing my clarifications and I never encountered anything like that even in just ordinary restaurants. And one time, we chose a table where to seat and it doesnt have placemats and utensils on it. The two waiters had nothing to do and seem to be playing blind not noticing that we will be having our lunch without utensils??? So I called one of them, and he angrily assembled the placemats and utensils on our table and even threw the table napkin in front of me.. yes! Threw! Again, first time experience. The place and cleanliness was excellent. The food are fine, the other staffs were polite and helpful especially those at the reception. The housekeeping were on point. My husband and I talked about going back here again but we changed our minds coz we dont feel good how we were treated by the waiters and I hope this will be addressed by the management.
Great resort, very picturesque with great diving and snorkeling. Many great activities to get involved in. Would like to be able to get Fox news though.
Beautiful Water Bungalows
We chose to stay in a water bungalow, they had been recently refurbished and were finished to a high standard. The use of the pool and the restaurant exclusive for water bungalow guests was great and meant we received more personal service. The pool guy was very attentive, the restaurant and bar staff very friendly and the choice of food was varied at each meal. The gym was well equipped and never busy. The restaurant staff replied to all our queries promptly and politely both before and during the stay and the transfers worked well. Because of bad weather our speedboat transfer to the island was upgraded to a seaplane transfer at no extra cost to us and the speedboat return was comfortable taking about 90 minutes. The house reef had a good amount of heathy coral and some great fish life on it. We only snorkelled but saw turtles, rays, sharks, lots of parrotfish, clownfish, triggerfish and much more. Our criticisms - When exploring the rest of the island it was clear that the beach and garden bungalows needed refurbishment and the main restaurant had a very cafeteria feel to it. Our main concern on the island was the use of plastics, every day we were given in our room 2 plastic water bottles per guest and water in plastic bottles with meals. We would love to see water fountains around the island with guests encouraged to use reusable containers for drinking water.
Excellent beyond words. Heaven indeed
Amazing property and amazing staff. My parents visited Elaidhoo along with their friends and I was extremely skeptical since it was for them and I had done all the research. They stayed in Elaidhoo for 3 nights, 2 nights in Standard room and 1 in the Water Bungalow with an all inclusive plan. And they loved both the rooms. They gave extremely good feedback to me everyday which really pleased me. The staff was very cooperative especially Salim in the water villa. Food was great especially the breakfast. Would definitely recommend it to everyone else. Also, for anyone who feels sea plane is expensive, we did a one way speed boat and returned in a sea plane and hence saved some money there! However, the speed boat ride is more than an hour and can be very taxing. So do it if you are prepared for a long boat ride.
Outstanding staff, facilities, food and overall experience.
Rooms were comfortable and food was good .Dive shop very professional as well .Some aspects of the resort seemed a little dated and could use an upgrade .Other areas looked as though they'd been fixed up recently .
Expedia does not present deatils of all inclusive at this hotel. I was confused and embarrassed becouse they did not let me to eat at the resturant at the pool. I was told thet this resturant is only for the people in water willa. But in expedia there is no information about It.
We had a lovely honeymoon here - staff were so friendly, the water bungalows were perfect and the food was delicious. Something different every night. Highly recommend.
We started in a water bungalow and it was just fantastic! The room and the balcony were beautiful. Loved our stay there.
Can’t say “I loved it” enough!
This place is truly paradise! The staff made the experience so special. We stayed in an overwater bungalow - the view is AMAZING. The water is unbelievable. And the house reef is incredible! The food was great - many options and variable. I’d suggest the all-inclusive, it was worth it. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent resort, relaxing surroundings and great staff
Wonderful--- very beautiful resort. Relaxing. Easy. Convenient
The island is so beautiful and the wildlife and snorkelling is amazing! The facilities are great and there are so many lovely spots to relax as the island never felt crowded. The rooms are spacious and clean. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly and the reception staff dealt with any issues very promptly. The food is good and there is lots of it! The desserts could do with a little more variety as they let the dining experience down a little. Avoid the shop onsite if you can as they sold us a faulty item but didn’t seem to care and were very reluctant to refund us.
The staff were so very friendly and helpful, they always made sure that we had everything that we needed and that we were happy.
The island is extremely tranquil. The staff is excellent and it was an extremely unique experience for us.
Fantastic!
It's very amazing. Very good.
Pros: Amzing and Friendly staffs.Amazing location.Excellent food.Lots of colorful fishes..The chefs make you dishes as per your need if you request
superb snorkeling on the reef - you must go outside the lagoon - a surprising number of guests did not do so! Accommodation and food were absolutely fine, and staff good, some excellent.
Excellent overwater suite, and very good value
Loved the over-water bungalow and the assigned restaurant. Because they overbooked, we had the beach bungalow on the first night, and had to take time to pack and move the next morning. But Tisha and her team compensated us with upgrade to Premium All Inclusive, a complimentary spa, as well as a tour. We were extremely happy with that and appreciated their efforts. What we liked about this resort was the value. The tours were reasonably priced, as was prices of equipment rental. The quality of food and drink were very good. The snorkelling was amazing!! Lots and lots of aquatic life. I’m told the dives were even more crazy good. They had just renovated, so the quality of the beach bungalow, and especially the over-water bungalow, was second to none. Their spa service was also top notch. We enjoyed the complimentary massage so much, we paid for another the next day! What we thought they could improve on was the service at the buffet. When we first arrived, we didn’t find the buffet staff (the ones for over-water guests) to be welcoming. We therefore took the initiative to show kindness to them and they warmed up to us, so we had a great time throughout the 4 days of dining, but we thought they could have shown better effort and improved in their customer service by showing care to all of their guests. And, there were a lot of flies whenever we dined! Mosquitoes were around too but the flies were especially bad! Overall, we enjoyed this resort and would recommend it.
The staff were awesome and very helpful. One chef even made a dish I asked for particular to his home country. The overwater bungalow was so relaxing on the deck in the evening and morning.
We loved it and just want to go back again next year!
Lots of cracks on walls in beach bungalow birds noise
We loved the house reef around the resort definitely worth a trip from the states to see one of the top 5 house reefs in the world. The food was good and the staff was nice. The over water bungalow was amazing along with the night snorkeling and diving. The only downsides were that they had to put us in a beach room the first night because they overbooked the water bungalows and we weren’t aware there were two stages to all inclusive. It worked in our favor to have to stay in the beach bungalow because they upgraded us to premium all inclusive and we got massages.
Dream location
This was the most amazingly place to stay and the staff are fabulous.. I’m missing there already
The house reef and food was amazing. We snorkeled every single day. Wish there were hammocks throughout the property, as there are plenty of places that I would’ve loved to perch up and just relax. Sometimes all of the beach chairs are claimed early, though the people which claim them don’t even use them throughout the day (which can be a tad bit frustrating). Although, I think this happens just about anywhere. Bring bug spray! We never saw any bugs directly on us but we’re bit all over the place. The overwater bungalows should also have direct access to the water. I know it’s a shallow laggoon but it would’ve been nice to just plunge in to cool off at times and also just to leave directly from the room for a nice snorkel instead of having to walk down to the beach area to get into the water. I personally don’t understand how the food has bad reviews, we actually bought it was the highlight of the trip. However, the drink options from the bar are very limited unless you get a “premium all inclusive plan”. The all-inclusive plan doesn’t even include a mojito, margheeita, or pina colada made with the house liquor. You can only purchase from a preset cocktail list. This is pretty annoying considering I travel quite frequently and have never encountered this before when upgrading for an all inclusive option. Also, all inclusive privledges stop at midnight, then you must pay in addition for any drinks or cocktails you’d like. Overall, I’d recommend when considering bang for buck.
AVOID - Beautiful Island, Bad Management Team
This is a beautiful island, with good staff. It is a really a shame that both the managers on the island and head office have such poor customer service. Prior to reviewing, we met with the staff on the island and contacted head office after. Neither were helpful (the head office even accused us of lying about our experience!!!). ADVICE: Book a large brand name resort for your trip to the Maldives. The customer service at this resort is pitiful. If you do end up booking.... *Beach Villas - request one with sun exposure in the afternoon. Ours lost sun by mid day and was VERY windy. *Pool - There is only 1 pool on the island, located near the water bungalows. If you are not a water bungalow guest, you will be treated like garbage. All of the chairs are reserved for beach bungalow guests and the majority of the time they are 2/3 empty. Pretty frustrating. *Water Bungalows - Caution before booking these, they look like they are on stilts! Located in only a few feet of water, they DO NOT have water access. *Transfers - You will be told less than 24 hours in advance of your departure information. Which means that if you do not like the plans they have made, too bad for you! These are "Group transfers" and cost extra on top of your package. The result does not take into consideration your departure time at the airport..... so you could end up leaving the resort 8 Hours before your flight!!!!
Amazing house reef for snorkeling and diving. Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are comfortable and big.
Staff were excellent. Always happy and helpful. Would have loved it even more if there was some form of entertainment now and again as spent a lot of time in air conditioned room when it got too hot outside.
Like: The staff were generally friendly and the welcoming was good. The island was quite and relaxing, and everything was clean. Didn't like: The food was not the best, and the options were few. The WI FI was really slow everywhere on the island. The reception area didn't have any rooms with ACs, you just have to deal with the fans which were not always cool. The staff should let you know in advance how long dos it take to reach the airport by boat.
I did not like the attitude of management, as it was our honeymoon trip and we were in water bunglow they never came and put on special bedding and also i had paid for special dinner and that dinner place was like garbage it was not at all special. You guys should know what special dinner means. No decorations, no lights nothing at all. Also all inclusive package had all cheap drinks from bar. Cheap resort
