Wonderful location. Incredibly helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, beaches and facilities.
Food flavor average, quiet but clean swimming pool, for Christmas time was really disappointed cause they just offer Christmas dinner with a 800 dls charge and don't offer like other resorts night entertainment unless you pay for, the resort needs updates cause some furniture
We had an amazing experience, people were cordial and attentive. Edgar who served us at the seaside grill was extremely friendly and attentive to all the details that made us feel at home. He is someone who has class and cares about the people that visit the resort
Though the resort was beautiful, we unfortunately had construction outside our room start at 7 am going all day long. They were clearly working on the rooms above us as well. We were not able to relax until we left the room. The VIP was offered to us at the beginning but we each time I called to book a spa service, there was nothing available. We also never received our bottle of wine we were told was part of our package. Room Service always took atleast 45 minutes, and most days longer.
Dreams Tulum Dec 2024
We had good stay at Dreams Tulum Mexico. The resort is good but not extraordinary . I would expect a little more for the price we paid. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms are a little dated. There are not enough restaurants and during are stay half were closed. I must say service was good the staff are great no complaints there. Overall for a 3 night stay I , would consider this resort again.
Nice resort, staff were awesome Francisco, Christian and Rodrigo were so wonderful
Resort was nice!! But the food could’ve been better..
We're going back we had such a good time! There were 4 of us (2 couples) that went to escape winter and we were happy with the whole place. Let me see if I can give you an idea of what to expect if you're trying to decide... We stayed in a Hacienda Suite with the Preferred option. The room was so spacious and CLEAN (thank you housekeeping!). It had the best patio to sit on and you looked right into the ocean. Huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub and double vanities so you don't have to elbow each other while getting ready for dinner. LOL. Turndown service at night was a nice touch. We are actually booking again for end of Jan/begin of Feb and going to book the same room. The rooms are above the cafe and smoothie bar and preferred lounge. So coffee at your fingertips which made my husband so happy. Grab a drink and some appetizers from the lounge and head up to your patio and watch the sunset etc. The Preferred Lounge: Amazing team in there. Angeles was so helpful with our requests and we'll miss her when we go back as she'll be having her little bambino. Alejandra as well as Manuel in the evenings were excellent as too. You'll be well taken care of by the team in here. Also in the Preferred Lounge: Alfonso the bartender. He takes care of everyone with a smile and made me the best Apple Martini's I've had in Mexico and this was our eighth trip to the country. Looking forward to them again. Beach: The beach is EXCELLENT here.
Condition of the property is poor , alcohol low level.
Very nice resort with excellent food.
Great all inclusive venue! The staff was always very helpful and considerate. Dining options were great and the outdoor atmosphere (pools/beach) were easily accessible and beautiful!
Everything fine just food should be a little better
limited dining options and the food was OK. The coco cafe the one coffee shop does not open until 7. The juice bar has limited hours and opens at 9. No food options after 10:30. The staff is friendly so they accommodated our big group wherever possible.
Great resort
The property was out dated and the food was horrible. They told me my room was upgraded but it was no different than my family members that pay less. The all inclusive did not feature top shelf alcohol. It was not a pleasant experience.
Service was great!!
food above average for resort food. rooms and property were very nice. our only complaint was the water was very rocky and hard to get in ocean. im avid snorkeler and could not do any without leaving resort. i can hang at pool at home so disappointed with ocean
My first visit to Dreams Tulum Resort was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and genuine hospitality, always ready to assist with any request I had. Their attentiveness truly made me feel valued as a guest. The nighttime entertainment was enjoyable, though it didn't completely blow me away. However, I found the Sky Bar to be a highlight of my evenings. The vibrant atmosphere, combined with an excellent selection of music, kept me on my feet and dancing until the early hours. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort. My time spent there left me feeling pleased and fulfilled.
This property was amazing! I specifically loved the entertainment team, Alex, Paola and Erick were very engaging and fun! The property was great, on the beach, and the pools were amazing. The drinks and restaurants were fire.
beautiful resort
The resort was very nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The entertainment team was amazing. I had a great overall experience. Some things I didn't like were the resort offered no water activities, the music at the pool was very boring, I liked some restaurants better then others.
Just got back from my first trip to Mexico and stayed at Dreams Tulum Resort! It was the best decision ever. Amazing customer service, super clean, and tons of fun activities. I'd give them 20 stars if I could! 🌟
Great customer service
We only stay at Dreams! Amazing every time
Staff made the trip. Great resort as well.
Family trip for the week of 9/28/24 Arrival and checkin was smooth. Room and property was clean and daily room cleaning along with nightly turndown service was a surprise. The food and options worked out fine, even for our various tastes. All of the restaurants were very good. The pool areas are also nice and the beach is nice. We all enjoyed our stay and have discussed returning. Some observations on my part, rooms are a bit dated along with some minor repairs on the exteriors. Nothing that would change the great time we all had at Dreams resort.
Overall the service and entertainment were amazing! My fiancé made reservations for a romantic dinner and we didn’t get the rose petals like mentioned in the package.
Great place to visit, staff was awesome
Super great staff and wonder customer service! The food was great
I liked how calm and relaxing it was! Pools, beach, bars were amazing!
Everything was exception. From the first day of my stay I was spoiled. The service couldn’t be better. All the employees deserve nothing but love and tips. I don’t see why anyone would stay anywhere else in the Riviera Maya.
The staff are great, very accomodating especially the ones in food services and bartenders
Property needs a lot of maintenance, we stayed we multiple people and every room had an issue some were never resolved. Service was ok not the best. Preferred check in guests need a better check in process ours took 2 hours.
Book it if you would like to relax.
I did not receive any VIP except bottle of wine, but I had already all inclusive so I can get the alcohol there that I paid for alcohol was so cheap. It was more taste at all. It was watering feel like everything was good but alcohol was so cheap.
Very nice, and clean the staff was very friendly
Old and dirty
It was a great experience! The Mexico culture night and all the entertainment events were so amazing. Loved the staff! They were super attentive and took care of us! Shout out to Edwin on the bar!
The staff was amazing and respectful Dionisio in special. The facilities was clean just be prepared about the mosquito, I recommend long pants at night. The beach it’s no the best to swim but good to rest. Our reservation was all inclusive and they charge 50.00 dollar for bed at the beach and it’s optional. They have 5 restaurants: Mexican, Italian, Seafood, Sushi and The world cafe that is the Buffet that is regular in options.
Great place!
Staff was super friendly giving great customer service. Very safe resort!
Great service, hard to get a table for breakfast at times but apart from that a great overall stay
Stayed here August 2024 with my teenagers and felt completely safe! AC in room was amazing, lots of great dining options. Never difficulty to grab a seat at a restaurant. Staff was amazing ! Rooms need a little updating but nothing that would stop me from going back. Wish they had a shuttle into town even if it was just twice a day. As close as it is to Tulum cabs are expensive!
Beach
We booked ocean view, and we’re “upgraded” to garden view. On two days of our stay, there was no water in the morning. On two occasions, the room key didn’t work, necessitating a walk to the front desk. The balcony door didn’t have a bug screen. The beach just outside the property was very trashy.
Property is fine, restaurants are understaffed
It is small enough to walk around but big enough not to bump into people all over the place. The restaurants were excellent! Veriery of food that was well prepared and served nicely.
Was terrible on all fronts
This hotel is a bit outdated. The hotel lobby certainly was and some of the rooms. We paid extra for an ocean view, however when we got there they had us stay on the first floor where we didn't have a view at all but on the upside we were a few steps to the beach! The property was clean and there were a lot of options on the restaurants but not all of them were open each night, you also can't make reservations since it was first come/first serve. Cleaning service was always late, they would clean my room around 6-8pm which was inconvenient since that's when we would be back in the room to get ready for the evening.
Overall Greta experience the food was excellent. The hotel was clean l. Room service was on point.
Good stay !! Clean,safe , friendly people .
Staff was friendly, professional and and very helpful. Gabriella at Seaside Cafe was professional, friendly and provided helpful recommendations. The only negative item for the resort was seaweed in the ocean and beach, but the resort removed from the beach daily
Food can improve. More variety and more options needed. Should also consider having a mosquito repellent spray system throughout the resort installed. Service, however, was excellent and staff was very friendly and always willing to help
Nice Place
Only issue is as expedia had it like it was close to the airport. Its almost 2 hours away. Ypu gotta take a taxi to a Ferry then from the Ferry 45 min drive to the resort. Thats a lot dragging suitcases
There is a certain hour of the day where there are no restaurants open to sit and eat. Some of the buildings need upgrades.
The pool closed early
It was a beautiful, relaxing and pleasant experience. Would definitely comeback. The only issue way the lavatory, the toilet would keep getting clogged up or would not flush properly.
The property is really nice, and the staff is excellent. We got really good service. However, some of the rooms have leaky ceilings. I think that's because of the AC units. Do not use too much toilet paper, as you will definitely clog your toilet, resulting in an embarrassing call for a plunger. Although it's no fault of the resort, there is quite a bit of trash on the beach. That came as a surprise. Despite what might be considered negatives, we had a great time and would gladly return. Please don't be rude to the staff. I saw some ugly behavior from some guests. No one deserved that. By the way, whoever in these comments complains about the restaurants must be used to dining at Michelin-starred restaurants. I, for one, really enjoyed the food at the resort. It's an all-inclusive. I'm not sure what people expect.
I loved all the staff. They were so friendly and kind. They helped us any way they could. They took good care of us before the hurricane hit Tulum. We had extra food to eat in our room and we were informed in due time how to handle ourselves during this contingence. Loved this resort and the way they treated us. Excellent service!
I was so excited to receive VIP treatment. This hotel was beautiful and perfect for families traveling with little ones. The kids club was beautiful and secure.
The resort was beautiful but much smaller than other Dreams resorts we’ve visited and ironically, the Mexican restaurant was closed most of our stay. They could add a game room or larger sports bar for a better experience. Also, there is concrete under the sand on the beach, which was odd.
Clean nice facility👍 kind stuff , rocky Beach, ocean:( Not much food selections in the buffet:( No activities for the kids…:(
Beautiful!
Dreams Tulum is a decent stay for the price.
Pretty solid stay. Room was nice and updated. AC was cold although very humid. Pools are nice and the beach is good. Lots of seaweed during this time of year. Food is ok, and drinks are watered down but for an all inclusive, it was expected. Wouldnt stay there again but only because I would explore different properties.
This property is very average. Its highly dated and under staffed. I wouldn't mind the physical property as much if it were properly staffed, but that's not the case. The restaurants were not opened every night, and the dress codes were loosely followed. This place has potential on being a great resort, but it really needs a revamp.
Great stay#wouldn’t mind coming back
I do not have any complaints, the property was nice and clean and we really enjoyed our stay. Staff were super friendly and entertaining.
Great customer service. Clean hotel and good food
It put a dim on our trip not havingA/C for almost 2 days out of a 4 day trip
Best vacation so far. Definitely recommend this resort.
Everyone was so nice! Clean facilities. My spa treatment with Ivan was amazing. I booked a second one the next day. They take their time with you.
The property had nice pools and enough seating with umbrellas. We had to switch our room since the A/C didn’t get lower than 78 degrees in our original room. Check in time was not accurate either. We had to wait an extra hour for our room and that was with us bugging them to get a room, so they ended up giving us a different room since the original still wasn’t ready.
We enjoyed our time there. As an all inclusive option, they do strive to be super friendly and cater to all our needs.
The property is beautiful! The front desk service is horrible. The food looks amazing but tastes like hospital food. The spa has limited availability. The stores are overpriced. Visit at your own risk or be able to stand your ground when asking staff to help you with mundain tasks. For all my LGBTQIA community, be adviced that this resort is not suppotive of anyone who is not binary. Look at the dresscode which is NOT gender equal. Unless something changes I wouldn't recommend this resort at this time.
Stayed 6 days for a wedding. Pros. -lots of activities and staff make it fun. -food was decent. -grounds are really cool. -friendly staff. -great wedding location. Cons. - Rooms need work. Bed was broken and overall room had a good view just very dated. -not all restaurants follow the schedule in the app. -preferred service. Told we were based on the calls to check in, come to find out we weren’t. -drink selection could have been better quality.
Great stay nice property!
AC doesn’t work , we told front desk, guy came 5 times , AC didn’t work the entire week. Expensive hotel, not worth it.
The staff.. At the beach Karen was amazing ,the service along with the human touch, and the same thing with Angel the waiter at the Patio Restaurant. Im definitely going back.
We have been here for 6 nights. The only good things about this resort are the staff at all of the restaurants/bars. We came here with family for a destination wedding. This resort was such a let down. Check in is at 3 pm but our room wasn’t ready until 5 pm. We arrived at 4 pm, and I previously notified the hotel of what time we would arrive, so we did not arrive early or unexpectedly. The rooms are in major need of an update. They feel and look dingy. Hardware is worn. Toilets are uncomfortably small in only some rooms. Full length mirror was clearly missing from its spot on the wall. Other family members complained that their mirror fell off the wall. There is a major issue with utilities. Power went out 4 times while we were here. One day, our water was shut off for 3 hours right before dinner time with no estimate for turning back on. You can smell sewage in some of the rooms. Other family members had the ceiling leak in their room. Others couldn’t shower without the shower flooding. I am concerned about food safety. Bags of frozen nuggets and burger patties at Barefoot Grill are left out in the open and not in a refrigerator. On our last night here, the schedule on the Hyatt resort app said there would be a mariachi show. There was no indication that to see the show, you need to purchase a bottle of alcohol, the cheapest being about 60 USD. This is absurd considering this is an all inclusive resort, and the show w
The bathroom was leaking from the ceiling for the full length of my trip. My room was not cleaned for two days straight. The drinks at all bars was watered down. Mosquitos was a big problem at the garden wedding ceremony.
Loved it !
Everything was amazing at Dreams. We had the swim up room and it was excellent, with very attentive and kind staff. The resort itself is beautiful!
Excellent hygiene, very clean, and staff are very friendly .
Dreams Tulum was amazing. We were treated like VIP with a separate check-in process that was quick and convenient and a welcome package (bottle, dessert and fresh fruits). The hotel has everything you need inside and it’s beautiful and well kept. The beach was okay as it wasn’t as clean but everything was perfect.
The staff and resort was amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful, food was good, and it was just beautiful. Thank you!
Our visit to Tulum was for the purpose of attending a wedding of some friends at the Resort. Among the positive points are the welcome when you arrive at the hotel, everything is very organized. They welcome you with a glass of Champagne and staff to guide you about the hotel. The hotel is very large but there is sufficient signage to reach the dining areas during the day and the specialty restaurants. The hotel has fantastic activities every day. It has 2 pools and beach access but the inconvenience is that if you don't get up early, you won't find anywhere to sit either at the pool or the beach. There are 2 open bars almost all day near the pools. The cleanliness and maintenance of the areas are very good. Negatives: When you arrive at the hotel, besides offering you champagne, someone quickly approaches you to offer you discounts in exchange for a 90-minute hotel tour and you have to waste time listening to them to tell them you don't want it. The discounts are useless because the prices of the services are so exorbitantly high that going to the Spa can cost you $600.00 and the discount is $150.00, just to give an example. The drinks at the bars are terrible, we ordered piña coladas and mojitos, and we couldn't drink them, they are watery and poorly prepared. We opted to order beer and whiskey on the rocks, as we were playing it safe. The food in the places where you could have breakfast and lunch during the day left much to be desired, although there was a lot of variety.
Attended this property for a friend's wedding. Beach Buttle: Gentlemen by the name of Salvador was a phenomenal attendant in the beach area! He made the beach experience fun! Conditions of the rooms were deplorable. 1st room, strong unbearable smell of sewage, bathroom shower door missing, room filty, entrance door did not close properly. The swim out pool was not clean when we arrived. 2nd room, filty: bed linen not clean, vomit on the glass of the bathroom enclosure and overall room conditions poor: room needed to be dust, swept and mopped. 1 light out in the bathroom. 2 housekeepers and a maintenance worker came to correct the condtions of the room and they did. Afterwards, we were assigned a housekeeper by the name of Silvio, she was great! She attended to all of our cleaning needs. She ensured the room was cleaned daily with fresh linens and towels. The food and drinks around the resort were subpar. The Coco Cafe area near the check in desk had better tasting pastry/food then the restaurants. Staff was courteous and friendly.
They rushed us out!
Overall, the property was nice, but a little outdated. The furniture in the lobby should be updated. In our room, we had trouble getting cold water from the bathroom sinks. Without opening the hot water, we had to open the cold water faucet and let it run until it turned from hot to cold. On our last day, we had staff knocking on our door well before check-out time, asking whether we were checking out soon. This happened twice. My husband went for a walk and returned to the room at around 11:30AM, to find that his keycard had been deactivated. Chevk-out is at 12:00PM and we couldn’t understand why this happened. We felt rushed and harassed. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Everyone there was helpful, professional and knowledgeable.
Didn’t like the service in restaurants we waited a long time for service but (others) didn’t it one restaurant we went in we were the first one in and the last one served it happened multiple restaurants….
The shows and performances executed by the resort were wonderful. The accommodations and conveniences included in the all-inclusive, such as drinks, food, towels, seating, etc. all seemed plentiful as well. However, we really wish the quality of the food had been better. There were times when food served or sitting out was cold. The quality of the rooms could've been better as well. Our AC never seemed to cool down the room and the bathroom toilet wouldn't flush on occasion.
Paid extra for preferred club room Ocean but the AC wasnt working well so we couldn't ope curtqins the whole time we were there. Beds uncomfortable and smelled. Food was not great. Ceiling leakes in one room. NOt worth the money we paid
We were there 5 days and they only cleaned out room twice. We had to request extra towels because of that. The restaurants had a problem accommodating quests at dinner time. Extremely unorganized and unprepared for how many people need to eat dinner in the evenings. They didn’t take reservations and the wait time was over an hour at every restaurant. They only had a buffet available for dinner one of our nights. The rest of the nights we had to wait to eat. It was bad. The beach was as kept clean. The poolside grill was good. Drinks were good. The servers were always prompt. Never had any issues with them. The public restrooms were always clean. The staff was friendly. The entertainment wasn’t great. Just mediocre. However, they did have a silent disco one night that was super fun! We felt safe the entire time.
Great place to relax and spend quality time with your love ones.
The staff was so loud at night with the walkie talkies, the property was not quite at any point. We didn’t get much sleep from this and it was a very rude how the workers would deliver the food for others and just bang on the doors till they answered… it could have been 20 mins…
Some of the staff were mean - especially the one named “Ester”. Rest of the staff were great, very nice and friendly.
Overall an amazing hotel. Only downside is the slightly expensive taxi to Tulum!
Very clean and low key property.
Checking staff was good, buffet options very limited and specialty restaurants are very small for the size of the resort, Christmas if you don't pay 800 dls you are not welcome on the Christmas party so we have to go to the asian restaurant and hostess and waiter with attitude with my group of 11 persons we have to wait long and the food takes forever to come, people from bars if you are not white they don't serve you as you come and sometimes ignored this resort is a BIG NOT
