Property is amazing had an issue in regarded if checking was sent to mutilple rooms until it was fixed took roughly an hour or so
Pools are great and sso is the staff. Seafood restaurant was good breakfast good for buffet. The rest of the buffets w÷re not that good just ok
The food was of budget quality for a premium price. The staff were at best indifferent. The property was not being kept up. Mold in the bathroom. I had severe food poisening as did others but staff were indifferent On the positive side, the room was large and adaquately appointed and the proerty was generally quiet at night. Overall, it seems that the management is not competent or caring about their guests.
Such a beautiful trip and an amazing country
When you walk into the resort. You’re greeted with eucalyptus and mint scent. It smelled great. You look at the outside and pool area and it looks absolutely beautiful. The staff is very limited in English but it didn’t take away from the view of the mountains. As we waited for our rooms to ready we thought the reviews were wrong and that this place was absolutely amazing. WRONG. once we got our keys and headed to our rooms. I opened the door and BOOM the most nasty moist mildew smell hits you in the face. The rooms are old , full of mildew, dusty and just outdated. The toilet was YELLOW. you could tell the toilet was white before but it was so nasty. I didn’t even sit on the toilet the entire 5 days I was there. We looked at our sheets and it was so many stains and even had the previous person drinks left over. They sent someone up to “clean” the room again but when they left it was like they were never in there. What I can say about this resort. There food, enter and views are to die for but it’s like the rooms was left unattended. They need to upgrade their rooms and renovate the bathroom. The only staff I felt need a raise is RUBEN. He was THE BEST bartender and staff that was there. He was always there with a smile and made sure I left happy. If you do decide to book a room here just go in with the mindset that your room that you sleep in is only for sleeping. At 7AM you will want to be out of that room until 11pm in the night.
Angi at the buffet was great. Typical all inclusive. Not really a kids resort but they had a good time. They didnt have an onsite photographer which would have been nice. The food was good. We only ate at 3 out of the 4 places since one didnt allow kids. We had preferred but couldnt use that pool because they didnt allow kids. The country was beautiful and fun to learn about. The concierge was not helpful and the VIP desk consistently asked you to sign up. The reaort was perfectly staffed. Room service was ok but forgot some of our order placed the day before.
The rooms were extremely rundown. The hotel staff was, it great. You can’t make reservations for dinner so you have to go line up 30-60 minutes before dinner in order to ensure you get seated. That being said housekeeping didn’t come around on a daily basis until 5pm to clean. Doesn’t allow much time to get ready in order to get seated for dinner.
Like many of the reviews state, property and view is very beautiful. However, there is a virus going around and I caught it on my last day. Had to spend entire day in bed. Seems this has been going on for the past month based on other reviews.
Great.
The property was beautiful, the people were great, the food at the restaurants was very good for the most part. The food at the buffet lunches was not very extensive. It was sometimes difficult to communicate with staff as I only spoke my language.
Quality of food-poor. Drinks poor quality. Little to no amenities.
Food was absolutely disgusting. Extremely poor quality and quantity. Always a food line.
I loved the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
My Cousin recommended me that Hotel and I did like it. Why? Because everything was included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks. My family and I love it. We are planning to go back and take the tours all over the place.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Nick and Carlos at the lobby bar also to Narranta and Marvin at the restaurants. Overall the staff were very nice including our housekeeper Magaly. The food was suspicious. We all 6 got sick after eating at the seafood restaurant Oceania. The food was often cold and not the best. The best place to eat was the seaside buffet and grill the food was at the proper temperature if you got there when they first opened. We would not recommend Dreams and we will not go back.
At check in, I wasn't given the room I booked for weeks ago, when I asked I was told it was fully booked....which made me wonder, why not informed me if non availability of what I asked for?. Secondly the room was not fully ready when we got there Thursday 8pm?... The TV remote wasn't working, called front desk almost 7times no one answered and had to walk back to the front desk myself. Honestly pictures are deceptive. Panama is a beautiful country, Dream Playa has the potential of being a peacefully place to relax away from the pollution and noise of the city. They can do better.
This resort is perfect if you like a quiet, relaxing experience. The staff is friendly and pleasant and they worked hard to correct the mix up on our room. The dining was very nice. The buffet features Panamanian barb que which was very good. Room service was a big plus as well! The resort is in the jungle so wildlife is plentiful. The jungle tour is a must do! Finally the view from the beach is beautiful! You can see the shops lining up to go through the Panama Canal! Seashells are everywhere! The water is very nice but be careful of the undercurrent. It pulls the sand out from under your feet very quickly.
This was worth every penny. I have to admit, the cost makes this a great deal. The property could use a facelift. The dining options could be more diverse and adventurous. The service was very good. The room was nice. Staff was friendly and attentive. For what I paid, this was a great place. Most everything was included in the cost. There are premium options, but they aren't necessary to enjoy the stay. Pools were very nice. The beach was close and lovely. If you are driving, do not trust Google Maps to get you here. Ask it to find Veracruz then, when you are close, ask directions to the hotel.
The staff were very nice. However, the food was mediocre at best. The preferred area drinks and snacks were much better if you choose that option but the wait times for the restaurants and food once you were inside were a little long for what you received. (Oceana was closed the entire time due to a private event.) Also, DO NOT pay for TAXI2TAXI private sedan service because it will not be private!! We paid for private service, and we had someone in the van going and the same person on the return trip to the airport plus two more people who almost made us miss our flight. Not sure why Expedia would endorse such a service that is obviously falsifying what they provide to customers. Save your money and pay for an Uber!! It will be PRIVATE, cheaper and on time!!
Stayed in a preferred club suite ocean view, Room smelled like mold and mildew, got food poisoning on the second day from buffet lunch at the resort and we were both violently ill the rest of our stay, the phone never worked in our room so we could not even order room service.
Eh drinks watery. Room could be cleaner. Rest room could use a remodel especially by the toilets. Buffets could be better too
Property needs a face lift. Misleading benefits for Preferred Club”. Coupon use very restricted. Good poor to average.
It was a little far away from downtown Panama city which to me was great. Everything about this place was beautiful.
Everything was great
Disgusting. Zero customer service and zero respect for customers. They had mold and cockroaches in their rooms. Food was also terrible. One bartender at the pool for all the guests. Stay away.
Great customer service, and pristine ocean views!
Muy buen servicio
Grounds were beautiful! No complaints, just my thoughts...food was good but lacked selection and variety. Staff were helpful however the bartenders did not seem as upbeat and friendly as other resorts we have visited. Entertainment in the evening was lacking, not enough places with music and/or dancing until 11pm. Overall the property was very nice, just needs updating. I am guessing COVID hit this resort hard.
Not worth it
great place we really enjoy it
Through your app we booked at the Dreams Playa Bonita hotel in Panama, Panama, from December 30 to January 3, we were guided by the fact that your app says it is a 4-star hotel, which would qualify it as a 2-star hotel. Below I detail the drawbacks: The room needs maintenance, curtains are very dirty and stained. The metal door to the entrance is completely destroyed. The safe does not work, the shower is dirty, the counter is totally unclean, the ceiling has insect blood stains. The telephone has no service. 2. The supposed French restaurant Bordeaux had no availability. They told us that reservations were not accepted. When we went, they told us that they already had 30 people on the waiting list and without standing in line, and it looked empty. The food is not fresh at all. They say that the beach is spectacular. It is really very rocky. We had to leave the hotel on the 2nd due to the atmosphere and rotten smell of the room. The sheets and towels were too old. I am attaching photos.
Pros: The staff is very nice. The massage was good but overpriced. Cons: I have stayed at many resorts. This was by far the absolute worse. Most resorts provide entertainment. They had bingo, a movie and Monday night football. There were absolutely no shows. They encourage you to use the app for Hyatt, but little to no entertainment display on the app. The food had limited options and absolutely no flavor. The market cafe was tolerable for breakfast. This is the only all inclusive resort where we went off the property to go eat. The resturants say no reservations, only to find out they put your name on a list. Excuse me, that is a reservation. They have a seafood restaurant with very little seafood. The main bar in the lobby had a limited selection of cheap alcohol. This is the bar that everyone passes. Not to mention, there was only one bartender. Most of the time, they didn't have anything to make the drinks they listed as options. Plan to wait for a drink of any kind. This resort is tatered and dingy. The sheets, towels and washcloth are thin and stained. They are ready to be used to wash the car. The curtains have holes and the bathroom in 128 has mold around the shower.. The couch in 128 came with a lot of stains. Room 140 air does not cool the room. Do not waste your money.
Lots of kids but overall not to noisy. Appreciated that the party are was secluded from rooms.
The property was in very good condition given its age. I like the proximity to park land and the opportunity to see animals not normally available. Food was very good and the breakfast buffet convenient. I enjoyed the Club with a separate pool area and bar area.
Very good customer service by the entire team. The place is peaceful and well kept.
Property itself was a little out dated but it is kept very clean, the staff are very pleasant.
It is beautiful hotel, but not well maintained and is falling apart with cracks on the property grounds posing fall safety for customers. Food quality at the buffets were very bad and not many selections . Not very clean either . The beach area was full of trash . I got sick after just drinking some ice with my water. They would only offer bottled water to their club members. I could not get emergency help while I was completely dehydrated from the foodborne sickness. Staff not very responsive and emergency line would not answer calls. I finally had to call the US number of Hyatt to call the hotel and receive help. Very bad service. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
When requesting something, like a pen and paper, towels, or a light bulb change...it's best to use the app. I figured it out by my last few days that the response is faster than telling someone in person.
We had a great stay! Excellent view of the ships waiting to go into the canal and a great adults only pool section- watch out for sand fleas but bug spray solved that fast. We did see a sloth and her baby in her natural habitat next to the hotel thanks to a hotel employee! We had a great time!
Need more activities.
We loved our visit. The resort setting is more beautiful than we expected. Amazing views from pool and grass lining the beach and the beach of the surrounding area and distant ships lining up to transit the Panama Canal. The condition of the property met our expectations which is to say we expected AC running overtime to keep up with humid conditions and nice but not immaculate condition/facilities. Mosquitoes and no see ums live in and around rain forests; not noticeable on the property during the day, but wouldn’t eat outside at dusk/night and wish the resort used mosquito netting for the buffet restaurant (for some unknown reason it is essentially open air). Loved the rain forest hike. Uber is great in the Panama City area. The staff are great. Love the coffee cafe & breakfast (fresh mango and papaya every day). Wish the dinner restaurants had more variety. Loved seeing sloths along the perimeter of the resort!
The food was good but selection limited. Based on our all inclusive you had a variety to choose from. The rooms are a bit outdated but was kept clean. A bit disappointed that my family had to check out by 12;00om but was unable to eat. Very unfortunate because they had a late flight and the facility requested them to pay to eat. Very disturbing it was the interest of the facility and not the guest. How much would a plate of good take away from this facility. I do not believe I would return.. maybe try somewhere else. Not al staff was friendly and extremely difficult communicating if you do not speak the language.
There's different options of restaurants to eat. It has night entertainment, There's also water aerobics and volleyball.
Food was terrible, room not well kept. Room service poor,
Nice resort. Love the food!!
It was amazing
One of the Best trips. Panama has so much history in the making of North and South America including travel from over the pond.
We booked 4 rooms and asked for connecting room at least for 2 rooms but they gave us next to each other but was not connected. All the room didn’t have enough towels or hair dryer and housekeeping took forever to bring. One of the room the AC was broken. Dirty bathroom. Towels by the pool ran out super fast. Limited food selection. Our first time there and left disappointed.
I recently stayed at this resort, room 303 to be specific the bathroom and closet is filled mold. I made complaints & the issue was never addressed. The front desk is nice, however Carlos and Veronica need to be retrained on hospitality. The spa is the only area clean at this resort, and the staff is very welcoming.
I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The most concerning issue was the presence of bed bugs, which made my stay incredibly uncomfortable and stressful. I immediately reported this to the front desk, but the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room did not meet expectations. While the staff did try their best to address the situation, I requested to speak with the manager during my stay, but no one ever came to speak with us, which added to my frustration. On a positive note, the food at the hotel was decent, but that was the only aspect that provided some relief. The lack of attention from management and the unsanitary conditions were enough to overshadow any positives. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience, and I hope they address these issues for future guests.
The food was terrible, cold, you need better chef to make the food, and the 1 day we wating 55 minutes to have the 2nd food, in a pool doesn't have sufficient chance to have the chairs, there are to many people around waiting for sitting I never go there again, and I'm don't refer this place, sorry . plate
Love the property
For what we paid we were expecting top notch condition and service. When we arrived it was late at night and still were able to notice the bed sheets looked dirty (some hair here and there in one of the corners of the bed) and one of the pillows smelled like drool- literally. We didn’t ask for another room because my bf just wanted to rest but good thing we only booked it for one night because that is all I could’ve handle. The room was freezing too and the temperature was hard to adjust. Room smelled like humidity and their hair dryer was travel size and didn’t work well. I had to request a replacement which they gave me and that made it better. All in all it was not what we expected for the price- we were disappointed.
I liked the property very much . Quiet , perfect place for relaxation. Thank you to the staff , very pleasant .
The staff was very kind and approachable. The room was cleaned daily, room service was great also. There were a variety of options for food.
Went there for 5 days and wish I stay longer, is paradise! Food is amazing, tons of activities to do in the resort ! The food was delicious! The view ! The staff were lovely and everyone had a great time and lovely memories!! Can’t wait to go back !
Love this place! Food was amazing and the people that work there are very friendly!!
I was worried about how the Dreams would be based off other reviews. However, I have no complaints about the Dreams. It's not a 5-star resort but it's not priced as a 5-star resort. Our room was clean and housekeeping did a great job. The mini bar could have been stocked better. The restaurants were good. The food wasn't spectacular but could always find something to eat. There was activities and entertainment that could conveniently be found online with a QR code. The grounds were clean. Staff was friendly and drinks were good. However, they needed more bartenders when things were busy.
Couches were dirty they need to be replaced.I seen a roach in my bathroom. Room service was offered for late night and early morning breakfast I did not get an answer.I called more than once during those special menu times.
Awesome
A solid 4 stars resort, I will divide in two parts the good and the not so good. Good Staff always willing to assist you, as soon we get in Carlos (bell boy) great services and take care of our bags as soon we cross the door. Carlos (bartender Pool Bar) great vibe and nice drinks. Angel (entertainment) keep you busy with all the activities if you are willing to enjoy, sad that it was his last week at the resort and lastly Ikiler (waiter) he is the best, a lot of attention to detail, I hope he will be your waiter when you visit the resort. Good was good special at dinner time, lunch only one option nothing fancy bad practical Not so good Beach, basically impossible to swim due to the tide, but great for pictures y you want to swim walk to the left side and you can a small area that maybe workout..
Had the potential to be so much better. But resort let down by the service. Basic requests at reception like getting the right number of towels and a hair dryer delivered took over a day. Restaurant service couldn’t be slower with staff seemingly not knowing what they’re doing. Telling people they’ll see if they have a table free in empty restaurants. Then trying to seat people at dirty tables when clean ones are free. The rooms are tired and dated and could really be cleaner. Our balcony wasn’t cleaned the whole time we stayed. Not all bad though. The resort grounds and pools are lovely. Loads of activities, especially for kids. Service at the pool and bars was really good.
Na
This resort was a 5/10. I’ve stayed in a nice all inclusive before but this was not one of them. Let me start off first by saying the STAFF is wonderful. The resort itself is not. When I checked in and made it to my room the room had dust and spider webs everywhere. The resort is in the middle of nowhere. The roads to get the resort are pitch black at night, which is super dangerous. It was so many accidents. The Uber App doesn’t have an updated address of the resort, and the address that the resort provides is wrong. I’m so glad our driver that picked us up from the airport was familiar with the resort so he knew where to go. I didn’t realize the address was wrong until trying to return to the resort that night from downtown. My Uber took me 30 minutes from the resort because that was the address that was provided in Uber. So just make sure you double check and pin point the location on your maps when you arrive. The resort food was good. If you’re looking for a fun resort, this is NOT IT. The bar in the lobby closes super early. I would suggest staying in the city, it would save you more money purchasing food and being within walking distance from everything.
I really enjoyed my stay at Dreams Playa Bonita. Everyone was friendly and professional. The entertainment was great. Elicio was the best!!!
Staff very friendly and helpful.
It was ok
Friendly staff,clean environment
Food terrible. The restaurants the bordoux was not open everyday and no one told us. Mold in room. Few activities. Limited help. When asked about an event that was advirtised literally 1 out of 8 persons i asked knee about the event. Gave us xupons we could not really use. What a waste.
Good vibe and nice nature
The food was terrible and limited including room service. The staff was great except check-in where we weren't even greeted or acknowledged at the feont desk. The activities were nonexistent and the liquior was very cheap
This was 1 of my best experiences at a location ever!! Loved the property amenities and the staff was amazing… 👍👍
Our stay was okay until we saw several roaches coming out of the wall inside the bathroom after it rain. They need to change their policy concerning bath towels and wash cloths especially when you have two guest checking into a room.
Great stay; professional staff
No to so good… check inn slow, room with humidity, few personal, everything slow.
Good nice property. The food for the all inclusive is average and disappointing.
This place was amazing to stay at it provided everything we need and was very coast efficient!
Not the usual Dreams standard
Undisclosed very noisy building works at the pool area, and painting work. Only informed of the latter at check -in! Swim up bar closed. Extremely loud music in an attempt to drown out the power drills, which could be heard along the entire beach-front and spoiled any chance to relax. Strong Mould smell in room, and throughout accommodation blocks. Faulty & very noisy air-conditioning unit which disturbed sleep. Switching it off left room to warm to sleep in. Missing amenities in room. Disposable plastic drinks containers at nightclub. Extremely slow WiFi, meaning struggled to check -in for flight/order a taxi. No bellboy to help with luggage on early evening arrival. Only QR code menus at restaurants/bars, slow to load with poor wifi. Ocean water warm but dirty. Not the same standard as several other Dreams resorts stayed at unfortunately.
The humidity in the room
Very relaxing and quiet.
The staff was all friendly and it is a great place if you are single or an older couple. The resort is not so much kid friendly and do not have any kid activities. It was a fault on my part as I should have researched this before we went. The food was good if you ordered room service or ate at the restaurant at night. The buffet did not have a good selection of food and was the same thing every day. The entertainment started at 9:30pm so again not very kid friendly.
Alexandra,Juliana, and Carlos are excellenté at their jobs of hostess, waitress, and bartender. The property was very well maintained and run.At this particular time the pool with the swim up bar was being refurbished(the swim up bar is what i love)so that was disappointing, other than that it was all good!
Green gardening area
Booked for my mom’s birthday and she had an amazing time. She was ready to move to Panama. She loved the food and the people
The property is nowhere like the photos shown on Expedia website. The photos shown are heavily photoshopped. The property is very dirty, paints from walls peeling, towels fraying, grouts with dirt. Had it been such a hassle to change to another hotel and the property refused issuing a refund, we would have moved to another property already
Overall everything was great. Staff were friendly, very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome. Rooms were clean.
The elevator was broken most days. On one occasion the elevator closed on my arm and the staff responded as if it was normal!!!’
La playa no se puede disfrutar mucho porque hay rocas al comienzo
The hotel rooms were rundown needed a fresh coat of paint and new furniture. The little bugs that bite you when outside they gave you repellent but it didn't work. The water known one went swimming.
Excellent staff…good location. Spacious rooms…excellent pool area. Need more restaurant options.
No thank you
Alot of spiders in the property.
The property is beautiful but the food wasn’t good.
Just wish they had more options when it came to lunch
Older property but staff was very responsive. Enjoyed the stay
Private hotel gives you a good relaxation if that’s what you’re looking for
Unsatisfactory
Property was great as expected for a Dreams. Laundry wouldn't return my clothes until I came down and gave them a credit card, I thought that was weird, usually take care of that at check out. Twice room service didn't answer their phone. The steak at the french restaurant was perfect, omelette lady in the AM was great too. Bartenders got overwhelmed at the non premium side but all in all a great experience and would go back.

The properties wonderful there is a little language barrier, and everybody very accommodating. I would recommend the property.
