Worst stay in a while

Staff was not very helpful at check in despite requesting early check in at time of reservation. Calling at 12pm to confirm if room was available early, calling at 2pm to confirm if room available early again. Showing up at 3:45pm and room was not available still. Asked to switch to any other room and they had no rooms cleaned. There was no effort done to try to accommodate my request at any point during any of my calls or check in. The icing on the cake was seeing other people check in early the next couple of days. Overall the hotel was centrally located amd close enough to airport for convenience. Its a shame the staff made this one of my worst stays at any hotel.

The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. But we had to leave early due to the rooms ac being messed up. We adjusted to temperature accordingly, but we were still waking up in sweat. Also, our mini fridge didn’t seem to be cooling all too well, we adjusted the temp on there as well and everything still felt room temp. We let the front desk know and they offered to change rooms but my husband was already irate with the temperature situation and wanted to just leave. Had the ac and fridge been working well, we would’ve given it 5 stars.

Only real issue was being woken up at about 3AM to a neighboring building’s trespassing alarm, which was very audible through the walls for about 40 minutes. Everything else was pretty nice, friendly staff, what you’d expect. Except for that alarm, that was not nice.

My restroom fan didn’t work. It was like a sauna while trying to get ready for the day… hard to do when you’re sweating! I reported to front desk said someone would come fix. That didn’t happen. The next morning I went down again & they put the request on a note sheet. Bathrooms are the most used part of a room… it was never fixed.

This hotel was horrible. The staff was not concerned about the guest at all. My friend and I decided to use the hotel shuttle before booking We asked about two different restaurants and taking a shuttle to riverwalk. We were informed the shuttle ran every 30 mins no problem. Upon booking and paying for my room there was also not a mention of a room deposit. After we checked in we were informed the shuttle ran every 15 mins but only in a 2 mile radius. After being highly disappointed that we could not shuttle downtown we decided to go to eat across the street the gentlemen behind the desk told us there was a roadhouse restraunt but it was not it was a longhorn. Prior to finishing dinner we called for the shuttle and for two hours the shuttle never came. We were left at the shopping center after everything had closed down by ourselves. Over 60 years old and just left in a strange town st a shopping center we called 4 or 5 times to find out where shuttle was and whomever that girl was kept saying B or V 6 I told you ..when I finally got her to tell me what that was it was the location at the airport to meet out shuttle. We were not at the airport we explained and the lady at the desk says then you told us wrong he's busy and he will get you when he can. That was 1 45 mins after dinner and 45 mins into the shopping center being closed. The shuttle never came for us and we ended up walking 2 Miles after 1am. Said free breakfast that was a lie

my sister and I were in town due to the death of a family member. This was not a pleasure trip. The refrigerator in the room did not work and even after it was replaced did not keep things very cold. You could tell the hotel was dated, which did not really bother me. But older hotels if properly maintained can be a jewel.

Check was very quick and transactional. No problem. Room is dated and dirty. Both chairs had crumbs. Tub had hair. When I turned on bath dirt flowed up out of drain. They need to deep clean entire room. My son’s feet were black from carpet after 10 minutes. Someone had smoked in the room, and my son tapped the lamp and cigarette dust got all inside water bottle, on phone, etc. The tub finish is wearing and dirty. The faucets and soap and calcium stained which some biodex would take care of in 5 minutes. Hilton’s q2 2024 net PROFIT is $422 MILLION but it can’t afford to properly clean its rooms or maybe properly pay its employees to clean the rooms and maintain things for its guests. The pool area furniture is run down and not maintained or cleaned. Just overall not satisfied with this locations attention to cleanliness and maintenance.

This previously was a Hilton and I've stayed here many times over the last decade. Apparently, now that it is Doubletree it hasn't rebranded. Hotel rooms are outdated... even for a King size room I could barely fit in the bathroom, the doors were loosely screwed, cracks in the walls, etc. Even the hall way when getting off the elevator reminded me of a smoky old hotel in Las Vegas... dark, gloomy, dingy moist smell... everything outside of the lobby and 1st floor is not welcoming AT ALL. Wont ever stay again until I see updated room pictures on the website.

Please clean

The hotel rooms are very small and very updated. They are very filthy as well. There were staying on the walls stain on the doors carpet smells like pee and I think smell mice at all. There was handprints everywhere there was raw milk close to the fridge.

When I arrived my room was not ready and took over 2 hours. The front desk staff said housekeeping was way behind and had a waiting list started. It’s annoying coming from out of town and spending good money for a room that was not only ready but half fast cleaned. This is unacceptable and the older lady at the counter was extremely rude not only to me but other guests too. Double tree should be embarrassed how they handled things

Rooms aren't sound proof, I heard a ching chong getting the hong kong next door at 3am, and then proceeded to have to listen to them chat with friends on speaker phone until 6:30 am. There was a massive dip on one side of king size bed. Bathroom had no fan. Cups were dirty.

When we first arrived to check in the gentleman working at the desk gave us a room that looked like it was a spare room at the end of the hall way on the 9th floor. It was small, had trash in the trash can, there were no soaps or towels on bathroom sink, the TV entertainment center was broke old looking and there was no chair by the window as all other rooms have. Went down stairs to tell them but at first he asked the other girl if only rooms with king beds had a chair. I informed him the picture on website showed otherwise. So then said he would take care of it for us. Then he asked if we wanted to change rooms. I replied yes and he moved us to another room. Which was much nicer and the ac worked great. Later that evening my husband went down to the front desk to ask for more towels as we only had 2 and we were 4. He noticed that the people checking in received cookies at check in and asked if we should have gotten some cookies. Lady informed him yes and he let him know we did not get any. Lady handed him some at that time. We were not treated right at check in. Hotel needs to be updated and for sure go to the standard queen size beds in a double room. Now a days no one uses full size beds. And also there are other hotels that charge less for the night and offer free breakfast. That is something we will definitely look into for the next trip.

I have been staying at couples different double tree by hilton before but this hotel is not meet to their name standards. I didn’t know that I stayed at double tree! The room was more like best western or like a motel in to me. I lost my airpod and I called to followed up on that, the lady helped me was very rude. And I never get an answer if they found it or not. Very disappointed.

Old, dated, worn out

Overall the place is very old & dated. The furniture in the room is beat up & hasn’t aged well. The furniture looks like it’s from the early 90’s. Overall the entire property could benefit from a major facelift/renovation to freshen up the property. The bed was great, very soft/plush. The shower pressure was good, the drain took forever to go down. The carpet feels dirty when walking barefoot, it had a nasty waxy/gritty feeling to it. For a few more dollars you can stay at a more modern Hilton such as a Home2 that is in better condition. The cleaning crew also started banging making noise around 730am which was unpleasant. There is free parking which is nice.

Overall a good stay

We found the desk staff at the hotel very welcoming and friendly. Check-in was prompt. Cookies were excellent. The hotel rooms and common areas were all found to be very clean and well kept. We were there as part of a conference. The only hiccup was at the catered dinner, the food was very good but everyone at our table received cold food, not warm but cold. In my opinion they were understaffed causing the slow service causing the cold food.

Would definitely tell everyone to stay clear of this Hotel - I love Hiltons and never have had problems till I stayed here. I booked a King size bed and was given a room with 2 full size beds and AC didn’t work. Didn’t get much sleep cause I was uncomfortable and hot - I called and they tried blaming the site that I used for the mix up. They didn’t care or even try and solve the problem I was having - No thank you to this Hilton in the Future. Stay away -

When I booked this hotel breakfast is included but when I checked out they told me it’s not included in my room rate. We have to request another room because the first room we were in has a musty smell, dusty, hair scattered in the bathroom, cabinets handles were broken, chairs and window curtains have stained. The tv has no signal inside room luckily the wi-di reception was good. I rate this hotel from poor to average 2/3 stars

Mediocre

The refrigerator was loud enough that I turned it off. Pillows and the beds were very soft. Limited plugs available at bedside for device charging.

I filtered this hotel because I needed a place that was dog friendly. Come to find out after I check in that it’s not and they slapped a $200 pet fee onto my room. I am moving across the country and don’t have another choice but to bring my dog with my on my journey.

Never again!

Very old building. Hair was in the bathtub as thought it was not cleaned. Hotel had a weird odor smell. Will never come back here. $179 for one night, I did better staying at motel 6

Take away the Hilton flag. 46 minute wait to check in. Room fine. Staff somewhat aloof. No room service. Front desk staff rude. Was told the restaurant was too busy to answer the phone to place order for pickup. Front desk refused to take order. Went down to find 11 customers in the bar, none eating. Was told by staff they had a 45 minute wait for food, but only the bar was open. No one was ordering food and they don’t do Room service so who are they cooking for? It was later. No special events occurring. Pool was not warm. Hot tub colder. Avoid like the plague and Hilton, jerk their flag. You’re embarrassing your name.

The lobby is nice. As you go to rooms and hallways, carpet should be replaced and machines could use cleaning and upgrades.

The room and bed size, clean bathrooms, how each places are easy and walkabale. Friendly staff. IF it was possible to move in and live in the room, paying and all that. I would. My wife and I really loved it here and would stay again in the near future! 😄
