The only issue was the parking. They had an event the night that we stayed and there was no overflow parking.

Hotel was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. The on site restaurant was a bit pricey and the bed was worn out.

We stayed there to catch an early flight. Staff was nice and gave us warm cookies when ww arrived which kids loved. It waa easy to leave the car parked there for a $7 fee per day and hotel shuttle took us to the airport both ways! Very convenient

Very clean and relaxing

Roula and jimmy greeted us and they both were so welcoming! every single person we encountered were so friendly and kind. Hotel is a tad outdated but not smelly and dirty on the inside. The pool definitely needs an upgrade,… there was no way we were swimming in that. i think they could’ve kept the poolside chairs cleaner and the games. but honestly i would stay here again.

Perfect place before a flight.

The staff was friendly, close to some fast food and convenient for us.

Convenient to airport. Room facing courtyard was quiet. 24 hour airport shuttle was really nice. Room had ample outlets, a mirror outside bathroom, and bright lights.

Overseas for six weeks, all my cards were hacked so I didn't have a working card to present at check-in. The staff understood and removed that requirement from my pre-paid reservation. Super service!

First room was dirty so I got moved to another room, it was clean. Later turned on air conditioning to sleep and an hour later it wasn't cooling so I called the desk and really didn't want to switch rooms at midnight. Was told it was the only option so the front desk clerk said a security guard would bring a key to the next door room. Sat on the bed waiting and a half hour later called to see what was taking so long and was told that when she came with the key the room across from me had a do not disturb on the door so the new key was slid under my door. No one bothered to call to tell me. Will not be staying there again.

Best service and food we have found by IAH for 20 yrs now! Go have breakfast there with Deborah in the dining area/ she has been there 18 yrs!!!

This doubletree does not provide glasses for toothbrushing. The room I was assigned had only two paper cups for drinking. It’s comparable at the level of a cheap hotel. In addition, the water came out of all the bathroom outlets lavatory, toilet, bathtub, was yellow! I reported to the front desk. Several folks came claimed it was due to some fire drill took place early in the day. These did not make any sense to a normal thinking person at all! The on duty manager asked to keep the water running . I kept it running for over a half hour, it was still yellow. In some previous reviews if this hotel, this was mentioned as well. That means this is not a new issue. Some front desk staff were very friendly. However the facility was not maintained in good condition. The hallway looks fine while the room feels cheap and badly maintained. At least the hotel should provide some cups for toothbrushing instead forcing the customer to drink coffee and brush teeth using the same paper cup.

Hotel staff were not very friendly and seemed rushed despite there being no apparent rush of customers. The water from the faucet, shower and toilet was brown at times, the power went out and room service refused to answer although the front desk attendant explained it does exist. We will never return, as there are other hotels in the area that likely offer better service. At a very basic level, this hotel did NOT deliver. The “customer service” was not good. Please do better.

Room was a suite but smelled, had carpet missing from hall to bathroom. The toilet took nearly 10 minuets to fill and flush also got clogged, also room had a table fot 10 look like a conference room instead of suite.

Enjoyed our stay

We stayed inside for the entire day due to a LONG week of travel. It was perfect sleep and honestly had a great nap. Our room was close to the elevator on the 4th floor and it was REALLY noisy. However, we did check in a few hours early and the staff was lovely, especially Michelle, our server at breakfast. The shuttle was prompt and everything was really great. The hotel just needed a little updating. Great recharge for my family, though, and super close the the hotel.

Served its purpose for one nights stay while waiting for cruise terminal transfer. Friendly staff, clean and quiet. Could use a room update/refresh.

Put toilet seat still had poop on it after checking in, and the door handle broken. WiFi didn’t work.

The only saving grace for this property was the lovely staff who checked us in …. After that it was all downhill … all I can say is property is adequate but definitely not worth the price tag … I’m a Hilton member and stayed there for that reason but won’t make that mistake again

Only stayed for a little while due to travel delay...last minute dinner at bar and then had to get up early before dawn....bar food excellent and so was bartender tho bar closes a little early....free shuttle was convenient and nice

I was shocked that they had so many exits and entrances blocked off where you could not get out easily :-/ the cookies were awesome!

Loved how quiet and clean this hotel was. The outdoor pool was a huge bonus for me. Towels provided, quiet, lots of seating and lounging. I felt like I had my (almost) own private pool all weekend lol I went in October, I’m sure it isn’t like that in the “summer” it was still 33c out. I had to drive a bit for dining and shopping but appreciated how close to the airport it is. Definitely will stay here again

Worth the stay

Comfortable but not as upscale as one would think. I enjoyed the staff and the bar, my bed was super comfy. Shuttle to the airport ran as designed and right on time.

Looks great on the surface.

Front desk was awesome however found a roach crawling across the floor. Maid left garbage in room after cleaning and pushed dirty towels under the vanity and took three days to get a working coffee pot. Nice pool area but didn’t want to sit on dirty patio furniture.

Good location 7 mins to the Airport Excellent Breakfast Buffet, Staff very Friendly and Professional too.

What a wonderful surprise. Hotel was wonderful and the staff was incredible. We had an unfortunate incident and they bent over backwards to help us. Would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers.

Kindness was Key

Really excellent service. There was a line at the counter and even though I was tired and in a hurry, I couldn’t stay upset as I watched the staff give everyone their undivided attention. The shuttle drivers were also super friendly. I appreciated the way everyone interacted with me. Thank you.

They sold us with breakfast included and when we arrived breakfast was not included. The hotel blamed Expedia. hotel far from everything, far far away. The airport transfer is only to one airport. The restaurant staff is what saves this hotel. In 4 days there was no cleaning or change of towels. terrible! They only did it when asked. Stay away from this hotel. They didn't want to add my points to my Hilton Honors reward with a thousand excuses. a disaster!!!

not worth the money

The first room smelled funny and the sheets were not clean, so I requested a new room. The second room was better but still very mediocre for the Double Tree at $250/night for an old dated room.

Staff was very good and responsive. But property is outdated, ac unit was leaking condensate water in the bathroom. AC unit was constantly making noise but nothing could be done to fix it.

There was no electricity or air conditioning upo arrival. The room as dark and musty. We had to leave because my grandson has asthma and immediately reacted to the environment.

Staff was excellent and very courteous.. But one of the elevators stop working..

The rooms where clean but can do with more towels

Was not able to stay at property, there was no power so the front desk canceled our stay. Due to passing of storm thru the Houston area.

They canceled our reservation without informing me why. If they did not have power they should have told me....or informed you since the booking was through your Website. This put my family in a terrible situation because of tropical storm Beryl. We had to sleep in a house that was 90° all night after we drove 2 hours to try and leave Houston the next day. I would think that the both of your businesses would have better communication at this point in time. Obviously not, since you're asking me to review a Hotel that canceled on me.

It was a great stay. Tv didn’t have signal, but that was ok. We didn’t need tv. Also shady people in hallway after 10 p.m intimidating us getting ice. Overall tho a nice hotel

Im disabled and was transferred from an ADA Accessible room to one my wheelchair couldn't enter the bathroom. The room was tiny, not worth half the price and my wife will NEVERuse a Hilton property. The smallest rooms

Stated $89 on Expedia. Clicked on the room it said $110 got to the property at 1am due to cancelled flight and was charged $250. I could blame this on the hotel or Expedia…not pleased

Close proximity to the airport. Fantastic service and facilities. Had a lovely dinner and a good nights sleep before I flew out. Highly recommended

The internet did not work in my room, however; the restaurant was open late for late incoming travelers. The shuttle driver was very pleasant. Otherwise, I did not stay long enough to really know the facilities.

Although Hilton is usually excellent. It was disappointing to find no hot water for the shower, even after running the water more than 10 minutes. Also, the shampoo and conditioner were empty.

Frustration

My room key did not open the door and after the third try of re-keying the card I was assigned a new room.

The hotel was close to the airport which made it easy to get to our flight in the morning. They have 24 hour shuttle service. The room was beautiful and cozy. I felt so comfortable and slept well. The staff was amazing and after check in got us warm cookies that were delicious!!! My only regret would be not having more time to enjoy the hotel.

How all hotels should treat their guests!

We had an unexpected layover in Houston. The Doubletree staff were ALL very kind, friendly and efficient! The Ned was very comfortable, and room was perfect. The rests staff treated you like family, and the food was awesome.
