Water was dangerously hot. You could brew coffee with it within seconds of turning on the tap. Shower was showing its age with wallpaper peeling off. Cleaning staff was extremely loud in the halls, even at 8 am. Bed was happily very soft. Front desk staff was very nice.

It wasn’t the absolute cleanest or most kept up with hotel that I’ve stayed in but it definitely wasn’t the worst. It could use some maintenance and upgrades for sure. A few people in our group didn’t have working sinks, no cold water only scalding hot, and the ac/heating only blowing on ac or only blowing super hot. The employees were nice and very friendly. Oh and there is no hot tub/whirlpool even though they advertise they have one. Other than that the stay in general was okay. We didn’t feel unsafe in the area.

The tile in the bathroom was falling off behind the toilet. The sheets had marks on them. The receiver for the tv wasn’t plugged in and i had no idea what to plug it into. No trash can in the room, just a tiny one in the bathroom. For the amount of money people make in hotels they can do better!

Room was not clean. Found a used condom wrapper by my bed along with some other wrappers (candy or something). Temperature in the room fluctuated so much throughout the nights. No complimentary breakfast. Ended up spending tons of money on food on top of having a not-so-great room, along with being disgusted that it wasn't properly cleaned. The alcohol glasses even had grime on them so they obviously weren't cleaned either.

Lacks updates

The hotel was dirty in general. The hot tub was closed a couple months ago and that was the main reason we wanted to stay here. The pool was disgusting, cloudy and severely polluted with hair and debris. The bathrooms are outdated. Overall we were disappointed.

Needs updating - looking for a new place to stay

Can tell this place has been around for a while - it's starting to need some updates/repairs and deep cleaning. The TV in our bedroom didn't work - couldn't change the channels. The one lamp didn't have a switch for on/off. The floors are dirty in the corners. We stayed in another "suite-type" hotel the night before, and paid less, but had way more ammenities and conveniences (paper towel; dishes; dish soap; working lights; cleanliness)

We stayed here in 2021 and it was so clean and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub. Now the floors are peeling and it’s dirty. Kids were running the halls all night. The hot tub is filled in. We will not return

Review: The staff was polite, and check-in and check-out were smooth. However, dining options were limited at 5 pm, so we had to go out for food. My bathroom needed better ventilation and didn’t appear fully clean, so I ended up using my own supplies. My room was right by the exit, which made for easy access but meant constant noise from the door all night, impacting sleep.

Second time staying will never come again

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel- 3 years apart. This second trip was so bad I will not be staying again. Hotel was dirty and there was a strange smell throughout the halls (like the cleaning supplies were dirty or mixed where they shouldn’t have been). Additionally upon leaving heard some staff speaking in the lobby area amongst each other speaking hatefully and with racist statements. Disgusting and disgraceful.

I will not go this property again because coffee maker machine was horrible. Room cleaner never clean this machine. I saw that fungus on it. Inside machine lot of fungus. Room size was small. Toilet was small. Hotel prize was expensive. It shows that 4 ( four) star. But actually it will be 2 (two) star. According to the room prize there was no morning breakfast. Please don’t try to go this hotel. Try to go Marriot hotel. Cheaper then the double tree by Hilton hotel.

The hotel would probably fine but the manager had absolutely zero intentions on n helping my two sons and one other friend with the ability to attach a cord to the battery charger on our boats for a tournament in Lake Erie. We had booked for 4 nights. There were multiple outdoor outlets in a secluded part of the parking lot away from any other vehicles or personal and still would not let us use them. When I asked her why, all I got for a reply was’ “I just can’t”. So we went to the Marriott next day and was completely taken care of. Will never book with Hilton again

Woken up early to clean my room for no reason

Labor Day, one of the first days I was able to sleep in in a very long time. Took the kids to the hotel for the night And promptly at 7:57 AM there was a knock at the door, It was the maid asking to clean our room. I don’t understand why we would even be bothered as we hadn’t even woken up much less checked out yet. Needless to say, couldn’t go back to sleep after that and left right after that. Front desk could have cared less when I checked out Absolutely frustrating and unnecessary. That should never happen. And at least care about it if you are the manager. I will never stay with Doubletree again

The hotel is clean and in good location. Online shows hotel has hot tub however there isn’t one should update the website. There is not complementary coffee which this was a first. The coffee shop sells coffee expensive and says it’s Starbucks however I don’t think it is doesn’t taste like it and it’s weak. They served me cold coffee must of been day before. I had the staff give me fresh she wasn’t thrilled!

You can tell the property was converted from An old hotel. There was some mold in the bathroom due to no exhaust fan. It was mostly clean and nice amenities. We were only there for 7 hours for a quick over night before a surgery early in the morning. But there were a lot of amenities I would have used on another visit.

Very disappointing

Room we were given had a can of spackle and a brush and tape in the bathroom. Floor was wet and smelled and the light didn’t work. They then could not give us another 2 queen room. Room given was worn out.

Blood on comforter

This was probably on the top five of one of my worst trips. There was blood on the comforter like fresh blood and then when I asked for a different room, the couch in the New room had white residue on it. I was staying in a Queen (Deluxe) suite. I went down to the front desk to ask if they could just change my comforter since it didn’t seem like moving to another room was going to help with the cleanliness and the may brought up sheets, not a new comforter. It’s probably safe to say I’ll never go back.

Over priced for quality

Check is fast and reception desk is very friendly. Room is good size. There were some gaps in tbe hardwood floor in the room. Garbage can was very small and the bed camforter had stains. Pool was not clean. Bartendee was not friendly. It seems that only tbe reception desk employee were happy and putting efford. Overpriced for quality of service provided

I honestly was disappointed by many things at this property. 1. No airport pickup as advertised on the website. 2. No free breakfast as advertised. 3. Free water is limited. We need to buy after that. However, there is a gym where we can refill it. 4. The shampoo and liquid soap bottles were empty. Property condition was average. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We liked the fresh baked cookies and complementary water bottles upon arrival. The room seemed clean initially however on further inspection there was a pillow case that had faint lipstick in the actual shape of lips on it! We also found what looked to be toenail clippings on the floor near the bathroom. Because we had arrived very late in the evening after being on the road for 6 hours we decided to just make the best of it. We obviously removed the pillow and tried to get a good night's sleep. We will not stay at this location going forward.

Place needs a bit of work. Bathroom is cramped and ignored by maintenance. Air conditioner was so loud and vibrated the floor which transferred into the bed. Walls and baseboards are in need of repair. Bed was comfortable which was most important for a nights stay. Walls are thin and you can hear the other guests as well as the hallway noises, ice maker and elevator doors. Should have been better for the amount of money spent for one nights stay.

Disappointing Stay

My husband and I stayed here while visiting friends in Amherst. We are both Hilton members and stay at Hiltons often for work travel, so we are very familiar with DoubleTree properties - I can honestly say this was by far the worst either of us have experienced. The hotel is very run down and outdated - for example, the elevators ran extremely slowly and the pool was out of commission in mid summer. Our room was even worse - the shower was rusty in areas and leaked all over the floor even with the door closed, the towels were very old and threadbare, the bed was hard as a rock and there were stains/holes on the duvet. My husband threw a towel over the drapes to try to keep the light out. Worst of all, the toilet was broken - when we flushed it would keep running until we intervened by pulling the top off and jiggling the pieces (gross!). We reported it first thing in the morning at the front desk and the attendant could not have cared less - she told me "we'll have a look when we get to it, maybe this afternoon." To their credit, it was fixed when we returned from our day out; however, I think having a working toilet is a very basic expectation for a hotel room and would have expected more immediate action and sympathy from the face of the hotel. It felt like we were staying at a roadside motel, not a DoubleTree - to add insult to injury, we paid over $600 for a two-night stay. I would not stay here again and greatly regret this booking.

Having stayed at Double Trees before, we expected a bit better. The room/bathroom were dirty. Water fountains around didn't work. And the staff was fine, but at best cold.

Unclean!!! Rooms feel and look gross, trash in common areas overflowing for mult days, hot water issues, hotel smells bad in various areas. Rooms are so small you can’t find a place to open a suitcase or ability to close the bathroom door. Do NOT stay here

The TV in the room did not work in room 419. After waiting to get ahold of the front desk on the phone for over an hour! and no answer I fianley called the customer service line that walked me through a reset button which still did not do the trick. Somtime halfway through the night my TV went on all by inself and started working. The room was dusty and the fridge was old. The AC makes alot of noise and the shower had a black ring of dirt aroung it yuck.

Not nearly good enough.

Took me a half hour to check in despite being 2nd in line. The first room I was given smelled like a break room for the cigarette smokers in the hotel, my family waited in the hallway and I went back to wait in line, they gave me another room but only after my wife had to bring down the other room card.?? The 2nd room had both barrels filled with trash and a television that didnt work 60% of the weekend. When i contacted the front desk I was told "I am the only person in the hotel". The service at the bar was great Thursday and comical Friday and Saturday, bartender would literally disappear with a female companion in the kitchen for 20+ minutes at a time. Nice guy, terrible bartender. The red roof in next door looks like a shelter with groups of people hanging outside 24hrs a day. I will say the proptery has plenty of free parking and is right off the highway. Also when inquiring about a potential 4th night more than one of us was told they had no rooms despite every app possible showing they had plentiful options. Didnt see a manager to even talk to in the 3 night stay. I will definitely try my luck somewhere else next year.

We have stayed here before but this time we had many problems in our room. A very noisy AC unit that woke us. A broken toilet that was running water all night. When we woke up, the toilet was not able to be flushed. We reported all of this to front desk but they seemed to care or do very little about it.
