Good centrally located hotel
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Clean and centrally located. We are there 2 times and the food was good.
The cookies were an incredibly nice touch and surprise to us as guests. All staff were so lovely and special shout out to Diamond at the check-in desk for always being so helpful and lovely.
Front desk staff was awesome, signed me up as a rewards member. Warm cookies and very good food options.
Front desk people were great (Maria, Kayla, Suki)- room was in need of some repair and updating. Overall, a pleasant experience.
Our stay was fantastic and the entire staff and property was great! However, they charge $33.00 per night for parking which I find outrageous and is like extortion because their are no other options. Shameful
The hotel was lovely. I wish I could have stayed longer. The only downside was the elevators were not sufficient for the amount of people there. I don't know if one was broken, but the wait was very long and often too full once it arrived at my floor.
Close to Universal. Easy walking distance. Wonderful breakfast with helpful staff.
Convenient location, rooms need a little upgrade and wish there were more dining options on site instead of ordering out.
Good property
Wouldn't be my first choice for hotel stay.
Older facilities but well maintained. Service was very slow in Starbucks, Gelato shop and pizza shop. Very courteous check in staff. Room carpeting was worn and had several stains. Bed pillows were very odd. They appeared fluffy but flattened with use. Conveniently located to Universal and several restaurants.
.
Wonderful Stay
All the team members who helped my family have been amazing. Courteous and helpful.
Big room. Maintenance and drilling was happening next door but hotel was fine.
A little outdated with a very old carpet. The rest was great, lots of services and 15 min walks to Universal.
Everything was amazing
The hotel was clean. There were so many amenities right in the hotel.
Lots of hidden charges. $33 each day for parking when the check in desk said just $33 once.
I loved everyone’s hospitality/ customer service. I had no complaints. Even when I mistakenly left my other phone. They acted and responded promptly with trying to ship it back to me. 10/10 will highly recommend.
Love everything me and my girlfriend had a blast. Everything was so close and convenient. Love our days here went very well and smooth
The staff everywhere were so friendly and helpful. The free hot cookies were delicious. Check in was easy, and checkout was a breeze. They were right by the walking bridge over the highway...so we walked to Universal Studios. The stores/restaurants below were handy. .The free shuttle to Universal had to be booked in advance and not all time slots we wanted were available so we walked all the time. I hope they can improve on that cause it is not as convenient as they say.
I will return here again and again when in Orlando! This is my favorite place Housekeeping team is so strong!!!!! Food is great! And I love the location
Amazing location beds a bit tough
GREAT location. 20 minute walk to CityWalk. Shorter talk to Universal Grounds/Other resorts (where you could easily hop on park to park transit). I loved the location and the hotel. Also appreciated that the restaurant had plenty of plant based options. My only negative are the beds which I found to be a bit hard. Especially after a long achy day at the parks.
I ordered room service and it never arrived to make me a coffee; I had to take the coffee maker to the bathroom because there was nowhere to plug it in where I was.
The details of cleaning are what is most important to me. What bothered me most was finding someone’s hair stuck on the wall in the shower as well as hair and dust on the floors. It’s evident details are not important when it comes to keeping rooms clean, I question what else is being missed.
Each time you need to talk to someone, you wait in line for 15 minutes. Even to check out and drop off keys, I had to wait 15 minutes in line before they get to you. The staff work really slowly and ineffienctly.
Hotel was great. Stayed for Universal Studios trip. There is a crosswalk directly at the end of the parking lot which will allow you to walk towards the park. It is a bit of a hike to get to the park but very convenient for those wishing to walk it. About as convenient to the park without staying in the park.
After reading the negative reviews about this hotel, I was a little nervous to stay. People complained of smelly rooms, long check-in times, rude staff, and dated carpet/furniture. I experienced none of that. I am just a regular lady that stayed at this property for 4 nights - I am not a rewards or honors member nor was I asked to do this review. I just want people to know how this property really is and not be deterred or question their booking choice. Upon walking in, you can see the big courtyard with a pretty fountain/pond on the other side of the glass windows/wall. The lobby had lots of seating and was full of light. Check in was really quick and painless. A young man named Diogo or Doigio or Diogio (something along those lines, I apologize) helped us. We were 15 minutes early to check in - he gave us warm cookies which was nice after a long day of travel. The room was clean and smelled just fine.. there was a cute gelato shop in the hotel as well. If I had to point out the negatives of this hotel I would say the Starbucks workers were pretty grumpy and the rooms had barely any sound blocking/insulation. I could hear people in the hall like they were in my room, especially doors closing and elevator dinging. It did not disrupt my sleep that I could tell but it was noticeable. The area was safe and close to Universal. Overall I would probably stay again.
Checked in late after a long day at the parks, and all of the staff was so very kind! Diego at the front desk checked me in, and was very kind and professional. Would stay again if I ever go back to the parks.
Great location close to Universal
We enjoyed our stay, however, we would’ve liked more reasonably priced dining options and we felt the parking fee was outrageous. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Great
Good place
The property was extremely clean, and the staff was very helpful and nice. There could have been two things improved upon better lighting in the room and another option other than Starbucks for coffee. It’s a very nice place to stay and I would highly recommend it.
Excellent location but subpar staff and service
Great location but dated room and unhelpful staff. Had constant issues with front desk to include disrespectful interactions. Persistent parking issues the front desk kept deflecting with excuses instead of solutions. The pizza burger to go restaurant had subpar and disrespectful service as well. The only positive this place has going for it is the proximity to Universal and the very helpful Universal desk personnel in the lobby.
Had a great time here! Staff was very kind, especially Cynthia during check in.
Great place close to Universal.
Super convenient if you’re going to City Walk/Universal! The room was huge and beautiful. Super clean. Dining options on property were plentiful. Staff was great. Would stay again!
Nice hotel but has parking fee.
It’s an older property but seemed fairly clean. The room was big and the beds were comfy. Several good restaurants adjacent to the property. There was a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave which was disappointing as I use hot packs for my back. The $33/night parking fee was also a surprise and we were there for 4 nights. I feel that was excessive and I’ve stayed at many other Disney area resorts with free parking. Just won’t stay here again. Too bad.
Poor attitude
Front desk person was rude and disrespectful. I don’t need attitude at 2am. I was already tired.
It was clean, they had delicious allergy friendly cookies, and they were walking distance to the orlando universal studios.
The buffet breakfast was phenomenal!!
There was a junior and high school event during my week stay . So things like taking the elevator , eating at the limited dining areas and sleeping became hard to say the least . The children were not told to stop slamming doors, taking loudly after 10 pm or running the hallways of the hotel.
The bathroom was a bit dirty. The check in was great and so very friendly.
Lots of people was hanging out in the lobby
Goo
Its walking distance to Universal, premium outlets and some good restaurants nearby. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip.
The smell of mildew and mold ran through the halls and rooms.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Starting with management Never coming back to that place
Convenient to Universal.
Beautiful hotel, very convenient, located right across from Universal Studios, few minutes walking distance. Staff very friendly. Room cleanness excellent. I would come back to this Hotel.
Nice Hotel on great are and convenient
Beware
It was a short stay but everything was great location amenities staff! I don’t have a single complaint I would definitely stay here again!
Very clean and good location
The hotel was rooms were average. But the property and staff were really nice. They had bell service, fire pit, ice cream stop and the pools were very nice. Will definitely be staying here in the future
Just like staying at a resort
Very clean in and out. Friendly staff.
the shower is very tight but long and and the shower head is located perpendicular so the bathroom floor floods, ot also smells like a sewer.
The location was amazing and the staff was so so so nice. I do think the property needs more elevators because having to rope lines for the elevator is crazy! But that’s my only note. This stay was wonderful for me and my family
Would be nice if parking was free. Sun in Pool area gets blocked by the north tower so it’s not ideal to spend the entire day by the pool, it gets cold bc the pool isn’t heated during the colder months. Great location though.
Having different dining options on site, as well as blocks away was fantastic. Would definitely come back! Nothing I truly didn't like. Great job!
We liked everything but don't understand why there weren't more microwaves available! None in the rooms and none in the breakfast area. There was ONE in the game room that was available 24 hours. A hotel as nice as this cheaped out on microwave availability. ONE microwave available after hours.
Excellent
Espacio seguro, atencion muy buena. La habitación estaba lista antes de la hora de entrada. Hablan español que es muy importante y las facilidades estan 10 de 10.
very nice place to stay,,, love the cookies, safe , nice eateries inside large waiting area.
Very good service but long lines if you’re not a member. Shower was also stuck either super hot or super cold. Otherwise friendly staff, clean building and everything was accessible.
Great location, wonderful service, clean rooms. Perfect for our 1 night stay before a cruise.
This hotel was extremely well maintained. The service at the front deck was very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is across from Universal Studios. My only complaint would be the $33 charge for parking. It seems that all the Orlando hotels are doing this. If I’m staying in your hotel, parking should be complementary.
Overall a good stay. We would’ve preferred more dining options for late night hours.
We booked this location as its closeness to Universal Studios. They offer shuttles just make sure to reserve in time as buses get full fast. They have several cafes and a Starbucks within the hotel. Overall we my family and I enjoyed our time.
I love this hotel !!!
Pros- Awesome location. We walked to Universal - less than a mile. Also nice restaurants and an WalGreens within walking distance. Cons - Older property that could use some updating. Beds were comfortable and room fairly clean accept for the shower.
The room was not cleaned in the three nights I stayed, even though I specifically called the second day for them to clean it
Everything you need is there and if not just a short drive
Didn’t get the king size bed I asked for. Room didn’t smell. Uncomfortable bed.
This hotel advertises they are at the entrance of Universal and offer free shuttle. It turns out therr are 3 scheduled morning shuttles and 3 evening ones, the latest leaves at 7:30pm and is shared with 5 other hotels, with this hotel being the last spot. The shuttles are very crowded and if you dont like the timing, you probably will take an uber as it is aplrox a 15-20 min walk to get to Universal.from the hotel. With extensive walkjng done at the park, I dont want to add on walking so far to the hotel. So keep this in mind when bookjng the hotel, definitely very different from.Disney shuttles we just came from. The hotel itself is nice, clean and spacious. Few restaurants exist within walking distance
Very convenient location to universal, shuttle service included, like the on premise amenities that were offered such as the restaurant and a starbucks
Great place
Great location, about a 15 minute walk to Universal. They do have a shuttle bus with limited trips to/from Universal. Room was clean although air unit was very loud even when off which would be my only complaint.
Excellent location
Great hotel and staff!
Staff was amazing. Room was comfortable and clean. Great location. Would recommend. I would definitely stay there again.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome—especially the delicious hot cookie at reception—made us feel right at home. The rooms were impeccably clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location was perfect for our needs. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Friendly and accommodating upon arrival. Easy walk to universal. The warm cookie upon arrival was a plus.
Doubletree Universal
The stay was ok. We were going to sit in the bar, order a drink and watch a UF gymnastics meet which only last about l-1.5 hrs. There were few people in the bar at the time and we were sitting at the outside table almost in the lobby area. We were told we could sit there unless we ordered. I explained we were going to order a drink and watch the match then possibly order food. She told us we were taking up a table and we couldn’t do that. The TV in our room was not very clear. Older TV that needed updating. I’ve never had that happen. Maybe she was tired of tourist, but I’m a native Floridian and tourism is most of our economy. I’m always stay at Hilton Hotels but some employees need orientation on hospitality. The clerk that checked us in couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Everyone one we spoke to was very polite. I gotta say, I’ve never been kicked out of the bar before. This hotel needs updating.
Checking took over an hour even though was 10 guests ahead of me. Overall great place to stay. Employees were very nice and kind. I booked my park tickets through the hotel.
The room was not ready at 5:30 pm. Manager and front desk extremely rude. The room smelled mold . I don’t recommend at all.
Car park parking price was very high compared to other hotels in the area
Great location for Universal!
Very nice property. Would stay there again.
Stay here!!!
Clean room with super comfy beds. Great hotel, perfect for visiting Universal.
A very nice lobby/outdoor space. The pizza shop was uninviting when entered to order no one was inside. Someone wondered out from the back area talking on the phone and never even addressed me. I had an high pressure sale pitch from A representatives in the lobby, saying this is a one day deal so they get the sale. This miss information turned me off from an otherwise good deal. The whole interaction cost me a little more on my Uber. Great place just a few things missing. i.e Microwaves in the room would be a BIG plus.
Room is spacious and clean. Beds are super comfortable. Favorite hotel when visiting Orlando
Check in took forever, because they wantes our hilton rewards number. Then found out parking was an additional charge. Next our 3 rooms were nowhere near each other. 1 in separate tower, o e 16th floor, and 3rd floor. Beds were very uncomfortable, sheets felt rough, pillows no fluff. Then the noisefrom elevator and people walking by. No sleep at all.
The hotel is in need of a renovation. The furniture in the lobby and in the rooms are outdated and worn out.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It was great!!
Completely lied on their website and dident let us stay when we paid for the room already. Unbelievable.
