I didn't like that I had to pay $10 for parking per day and there was not any security guarding. What was I paying for? Hotel could use some small cosmetic updates. Pool bar/hut was closed and looked like it had been closed for a while. Don't advertise the amenity and not have it available. The glass between the pools was worn/warped/dirty looking.

Nice hotel my only gripe is you have to pay for parking which I find a little ridiculous, also some of the cars in the parking lot were broken into

Rust around room and hotel. The two neighbors we had were very loud and did not let my kids and I sleep. It says it has a swim bar which is not even working anymore or used. Gym was very small limited machines. Our room was not the cleanest and extra charge for parking. Will not be returning to this hotel at all. Do not recommend. They said they were going to refund first night and nobody did.

This is our second time staying here we always have had a good experience staff is very friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and tidy thank you all for your hospitality.

Bar closed early, construction everywhere, it's felt down and dead, with no life or liveliness.

Wash Me: A Neglected Hotel

Two days before check in I called and requested a microwave in our room. Was told it would be $20 for the 4 days. Then i Arrived and although the staff was friendly and welcoming was informed it's $10/day for parking. Staff was nice but the hotel is just not kept up. For example, the windows that split the indoor And outdoor areas of the pool were so filthy you couldn't see through them. It's as if they haven't been cleaned in months. We stayed for 4 days and each day wed just spot something else that is pretty obvious to clean but is just neglected. Not sure what's going on but for being in the Marriott family of hotels we did expect a higher level of cleanliness/maintenance.

I didnt like that i booked this hotel becuase it offered free breakfast and a big space to eat for the whole family and it did not come with my stay as it said on the web page ...but everything else was great ...

This hotel does not offer complementary parking so be ready to pay when you arrive. Other than that the hotel seemed fine, bed was comfy, there was some remodeling going on but nothing that made the stay unbearable. Oh and there is no complementary breakfast either which is also odd for a Marriott hotel to not have.

I found the property’s interior to be less than satisfactory, with hallways and common areas feeling a bit dirty and not in the best condition. There was ongoing construction and improvements, which added to the disruption. Parking in front was mostly roped off, forcing us to park in the back, which felt unsafe. Additionally, there was no coffee available in the lobby—only at the bar, which required purchasing breakfast that ended at 10 a.m. Unfortunately, we missed it due to being tired from the holidays and running behind. While the staff was accommodating and helpful, which helped offset some of these shortcomings, the overall condition of the property fell below expectations, especially considering what I had anticipated.

Nice but beds need updated

The hotel itself was very clean on the inside.The staff was very friendly. The first room that we were in the room was cold because the heater did not work. I called down to the front desk and they had someone there immediately , however she was not able to fix it.So they gave us a different room.But instead of a king size it was too queen. They do need to upgrade their mattresses because they were very uncomfortable. The mattress was sunken in on both sides due to being old and used and very hard. The other complaint I would have is they do not have complimentary coffee or breakfast, even the cheaper hotels do. But over all if its a one night stay ok but not more than that. On the bright side the convenient store is right next door.

Not a great experience

The hotel is under construction. That’s not advertised on the website. During our stay they started painting the entire outside. They covered everything in plastic during our stay. We couldn’t walk outside to our car easily. We had to walk in the rocks to get to our car. The machines to paint were loud and woke us up. There was no convenient parking because the painting took up everything. We had to pay to park far away. The last time we stayed, which was July we didn’t have to pay to park.

The staff and services are excellent.

It was very clean. the rooms were Nicely arranged and large bathroom. only one sink however. And they had an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Our view looked out over the pool.

It seems there is a new manager in place for the last 2 years and at least the women whom intoduce herself as the hotel´s manager HAS A TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE even when interacting with my 13 years old son (I threw him because I couldn´t put up with her any more and I thought this could ease the tension, plus my son was asking me to slow down but it was simple to much for me, so I threw him hehehehehe to the front line and even with him she got irritated and my son as well, he got the experience first hand). Bad attitude, no helping much with their "new parking payment policy QR code", not helping with the WIFI conection (have to use a customer´s last name to be able to connect, but if they type in the compter a wrong last name you cannot get connected to WIFI and good luck getting them tell you what they wrote on their computer). First night a pay for a "SUITE" (traveling with family thought about having a "good hotel room" not just the "regular 2 queen bed", it was not worth it!!!... not even a dispoable spoon inside the room to get a coffe done, no room service offer, no nothing, bathroom same size, just a little extra small living room which was the justification for the "plus cost"). Before when I was a kid I always thought about MARRIOT as a better class type of hotel a customer service, it is not anymore BELIVE ME, you could get better customer service at "Hotel 6" (not the rest of the amenittie

Nice clean and quiet.

Front desk were friendly and accomodated to our needs. This is by far the best hotel my family have stayed in here in San Antonio.

Pool was FREEZING. NO ONE wanted to stay in the water, and it was in the low 90's that day. Very disappointing, as the pool is one the main reasons we choose this place.

Check In Trouble

Great helpful staff and nice pool

Check in took some time at 12:30am. The people ahead of us had a lot of issues and then when it was finally our turn, the people on the phone became the next people that were tended to. Didn’t like that we had to pay for parking. Where are we supposed to put our cars while we stay there? The picture of the room on the site was not what we got at all on the room. Housekeeping was very nice. When we asked the two girls at the front desk for more coffee they just said they had none. The bartender was a nice man, but overall, we were disappointed in the hours for breakfast and it was not worth the price of the stay especially when we got a balcony with just two chairs facing a construction site.

Hidden cost

They did not provide free breakfast and didn't mention that we hadto pay separately for breakfast. We stayed two nights and nobody came to clean the room or pick up trash. The front desk staff mentioned that I had to pay $10 parking fee for each day which was not normal. As I went through the parking website to pay for that, it took extra $1 per day as service fee !! I booked the hotel for 2 nights three days prior. But they billed me two different rate for each night. They don't tell you about their hidden costs. The staffs are not welcoming at all.

Refund

Counter help was very rude and to busy on their phones. Door would not work properly. Roaches all in the restroom tried to book another hotel no luck. Had to pay for parking in your own hotel that ur staying in Absurd. Girls at the breakfast counter to busy doing nothing to take ur coffee order. All around robbery for amount I paid.

Hotel was nice but, staff is beyond rude, especially front desk

I expected more from this hotel considering the rating of it. I stayed a week here with my family and was disappointed. The outdoor and indoor pools are not heated. There are areas of the inside of the hotel that are outdated and dirty. Our shower was dirty, as well as the couch that was in the room. As mentioned, we stayed there a week and hotel claimed that room service came every other day. Problem was they didn’t. We had to ask the front to clean our room multiple times and we were barely in it for the most part throughout the day. Overall, I expected better especially considering this was my first time in Texas. Would definitely consider different hotels for future trips.

The property is clean and up to date. I love the starbucks on site and the convenience store next door. Parking is not great and is $10 for each 24 hours on property.

Did like the noise from freeway

I LOVE love the pool/hot tub outside, one of the best I have ever been to. Staff is great, the lobby is awesome for having a drink and watching TV Great place, I have stayed there 5 times and will stay again for sure.

The hot tub was full of sand. I’m not sure why as there was no sand on site. The pool didn’t allow outside drinks, but the advertised pool bar was closed. In their defense it was the end of September not June, so I guess there was not much demand for the pool bar. Parking was handled by a third party. You had to scan a QR code and pay for parking online. It seemed a bit strange, but parking was only $10. They had cameras in the parking lot to deter vandalism.

The beds are out dated the pillows were terrible there were small bugs in the restroom

We were treated with the best service! I would definitely recommend and plan on staying again.

Quiet and relaxing

Beautiful property. My grandson loved the indoor/outdoor pool. I will say a guest was complaining about the security guard getting on to her children for running yet there were people drinking alcohol in glass bottles and nothing was being said to them. The only downside is you have to do turn around to get to the properry.

Hotel is really pretty! The pool area is soooo nice! Staff was kind and helpful. We stayed an extra night unplanned and rebooked the same hotel.

The person who checked us in, did not state that we needed to scan the parking document he gave us (to put in the window of the car) and register to pay for parking through a third-party. We received a “ticket” of sorts from said third party as a result, but didn’t see it until after checking out and leaving a restaurant. We were very confused about it (thinking it was given in the restaurant parking lot), until after many calls. The person that we spoke with at the hotel, when we called, though not as helpful as she could have been at the beginning, did apologize on the hotel’s behalf by the end of the call. The sink had gouges in it. We had a view of construction going on across the street. There is a terrible smell near the elevator on a couple of floors. The room and bathroom was clean. That was the best part of the stay.

Good place to stay, bed was so comfortable and shower was amazing.

Staff was exceptional. We had a rowdy neighbor and they quickly relocated our room. They were always courteous and helpful.

It was in an easily accessible area within two miles of Sea World. The room was very big, the pool was nice, and the staff was more than helpful!
